Since the start of IPOB distraction and hate speeches, how many Igbo politicians have actively come out to denounce that ill-advised adventure?
At a convergence or at a gathering of politicians; leaders of other regions & power brokers would not really have much faith in the intentions of their colleagues from the SE.

A team of leaders from a region actively campaigning for the break-up of a company or a country has put itself at a disadvantage already.

Especially, when the elders from that place has made insignificant efforts at discouraging such pronouncements. If at all the adventure has been condemned by elected & respected SE leaders.

Their opposition (conventionally acceptable, though) and apathy of their people did them no favors. At the corridors of powers, our mean leaders have labelled the region as “5%ters” and you know that numbers are important in that game called politics.

The best leaders from the East can do is to ensure their region runs on a single voice. They have two options and both are WIN-WIN for them.
I. Choose to be Biafrans and be unapologetic about it but forgo whatever packages they are enjoying from their offices as leaders in Nigeria.

II. Or stay with Nigeria and condemn their kids drumming for break-up.

If only they can take A STAND, they shall achieve success.

We fail to understand that politicians in this country only care for their pockets. No politician will come out and agree to break up the country since they get fat pay.

It is us, the masses that supposed to be fighting for this bro. I really dont know why we have refused to see this. Look at the deputy govt of Kogi state, just between 2017 to 2019, he was not paid fully, he is still have over 700 million naira as outstanding salary and allowances.

It is not only igbos who need the change of this system of govt, the entire country needs it. But what i dont understand is why the same masses who need it go about insulting those who are bold enough to come out and say it is needed.

Politicians in this part of the world are selfish. So, dont make it look like it is only igbos who need this. As it is in the south east, that is how it is in other regions. Nigeria is same. The same no stable electricity, same no water, same bad roads, same poor looking cities, same unemployment, same insecurity, same poor education, same poor health care. In fact, north is worse hit.

So, expecting politicians in the east to speak out wont work since other politicians too dont. It is when the masses like Biafran supporters come out and speak that they need this, the govt will do something.

Any way, since the masses love suffering, no wahala, the country will remain like this. Like someone told me few days ago, these criminals called politicians are already preparing their kids for political positions. They send them abroad for education, when they come back, they take them and give them political appointment, preparing them for future leaderships when they die. The children of the poor masses, the average and even the rich will continue to be slaves.

Nigerian masses, the most foolish ever. I mean, what has presidency benefited any region? Why cant Nigerians understand that political appointments and positions are not dividend of democracy? why? even graduates dont know this! Why?

Until we address these things as citizens, until we have a county that preaches fairness over ethnic and tribes, that is when we can grow.

In Nigeria, if u a police man, soldier, etc, if u are not stealing, u can't afford decent stuff with ur pay becus it is poor. The politicians only made their pay and allowances way too much. The military spoilt Nigeria seriously, they prepared a useless constitution that pays the politicians so well with salary and allowances while anyone outside politics suffer way too much. These is why most security personnel steal to survive. Their retirement package is also poor while retirement packages for politicians are so good. Politicians are the biggest enemies of Nigeria. They are so wicked and greedy.

All these leaders are the same. They do nothing. Insecurity is crazily high now. They have not solve any problem. No electricity, no good roads, no water, no jobs, naija is still like a country in 10 century and yet, what our able body youths care about is igbo mut be sidelined in national politics. I can't believe this. Worse part is that most of these youths are broke, poor with no exposure. I get them send me emails. I know how broke some of them are. And yet, all they celebrate is as long as igbos are sidelined.

Simple rule of a federating country. Never make any federating component feel unwanted, and never suppress any federating unit. Like one Yoruba writer once said, the current plan by apc may lead us into war.
