Any attempt for Southern Nigeria to break away from the North will lead to a double fold of terrorism on the Southern territory... However the best solution is to:

1. Technically keep the system as two states (Northern and Southern) within a country.

This will put an end to all the agitations in the various areas of the South.

2. Have two Vice Presidents (Northern and Southern)

This will stop the idea of a region feeling left out

3 Allow the Southern states to develop the South with the Southern resources and vice-versa

This will prevent Northern folks from controlling Southern resources

4. If the North mismanages its resources, let them come borrow money from the South, and vice-versa
e.t.c....

This is better.. Not all southern states are financially okay but we don't mind.. Let every state control their own resources..

How can we get our southern leaders to push this type of purpose becus northern nigeria keeps bragging with her population.. They have more people in national assembly..

There must be a way to get our political bigwaves to push for this.

Else our upcoming generation will pay for this...

I am from the Southern part of Nigeria.
The people are suffering and can hardly reason beyond their current predicament.
Telling them to unite is like throwing water into a basket and you expect it to get filled.
The youths have become brainwashed and only few youths truly want to break free from this current quagmire.
A quick read of comments on Nairaland will show you the diversities we have in terms of opinion and reasoning.
The will of good people alone is not enough, but the ability of good people to brainwash the deluded folks will lead to a greater Nigeria.
Reasoning along with Zombie humans won`t give us what we want, but tuning their minds for a justifiable cause will salvage us all from the wreck...

How can we achieve this? Southern nigeria must break away from northern nigeria..

You need to know that the north is always looking out for a way to cheat the South. The south should be smart enough to bring in intelligent leaders who will crush the current structure so tat no region is disadvantaged. The greed of the South is the major problem

The southern leaders are useless.. South would have gone far in development if not for this useless structure..

North can not stand on it own.. It is left for us, the masses from south to unite and demand our leaders from south to push and break down the current structure that favours north..

I think appointment should be strictly by merit not favoritism, nepotism, tribalism or religious bigotry

Then it is best we break the unitary federalism becus normally, appointment should be based on merit, but due to the over central nature of the country, ethnic and religious sentiments are considered more..

Adeosun did nothing wrong in my opinion. what's the fuss about Nysc certificate and exemption letter when majority of Nigerian youths that have it are either unemployable or unproductive? We lost a great economist just because of a useless scheme that has outlived it's usefulness. We are a certificate worshipping nation hence the reason every undergraduate sees certificate as a meal ticket rather than concentrate on researches that can better the country. Even gowon will wish he could scrap the useless scheme that has resulted in deaths of innocent graduates posted to horrid terrains
