I thought that nowadays women say they are equal to men in all capacities. So if a man beats a woman in a relationship, the woman should beat the man back.

Timaya was not born or raised in Lagos, yea, right. But Timaya resides in Lagos now.
Even at that, Ogologo mma agha and other songs Timaya sang in Igbo are hit songs, yet he is not Igbo neither has he resided in Igboland before.
Once again I maintain that musicians who sang in Yoruba or chip in Yoruba are the ones in Lagos or raised in Lagos.
Secondly, The U.K is the only place Yoruba language is more influential than others.
Yoruba is more influential in Yankee, too, and in many European countries. And the fact that Timaya presently resides in Lagos still does not change the fact that he was neither born nor raised in Lagos.

I do listen to those musicians more than you.
I listen to Igbo music and know Igbo musicians than you.
Nigerian musicians who chip in Yoruba or sing in Yoruba is either born in Lagos or reside in Lagos. Why is it difficult for people to understand this. Does Victor Uwaifor sing in Yoruba, how about Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwor, Sir WARRIOR etc.
The problem with you guys is your inability to step foot outside Yorubaland.
Just tell me musicians from the east who do not reside in Yorubaland that sings in Yoruba.
Timaya, the son of Bayelsa, uses Yoruba in his songs. He was neither born nor raised in Lagos.

I dont buy this line of thought! An argumentative fallacy if you please. Why? Because you cant read minds! Whatever goes on in the mind is subjective! If a girl decides to become a prostitute this very minute, and the next minute she changes her mind, would you still term her a prostitute?
A prostitute is anyone that engages in sexual activity for payment! If no activity for payment takes place, terming her a prostitute is wrong!. . .

In determining whether someone is culpable, the intent to perform the act must be ascertained. While intent sometimes is not always clear, it could be inferred from the circumstances. That being said, a girl who places an ad for prostitution is guilty of the act of solicitation of prostitution. The intent to solicit prostitution could be inferred from the circumstances. There is no one earth who can read another person's mind, save for voodoo men and babalawos, that is if you give them the benefit of the doubt.
PoliticsRe: Why's Cnn Not Reporting The Protests? by Princek12(m): 12:46pm On Jan 04, 2012
The election for the Republican party nominee who will challenge Barrack Obama is going on, and CNN is focusing on it. U.S. presidential election politics is big news and draws huge ratings, and the fuel subsidy protests are just not forceful enough to be given priority over it.
RomanceWho Should Be Blamed For Prostitution: The Provider Or The Customer? by Princek12(op): 1:47am On Jan 04, 2012
I started this thread in light of the debate that emanated out of my other threads, where some lady blamed the prostitution epidemic on the customer. She claimed the customers' demands, and not the woman who voluntarily sells her body, are responsible. I beg to differ. The woman should be responsible for her actions because she chose to sell her body (this does not apply to child prostitution or women who are forced into prostitution against their will; I am talking about grown, mature women who flock the streets and night clubs out of their own volition to sell their body)

Are the sellers not selling voluntarily? Did anyone force them to sell? Will you sell your two kidneys because their are buyers out there? Don't you chose what to sell and what not to sell? Therefore why can't the ladies in question chose not to sell their bodies?
A BUYER EXISTS WHEN A SELLER HAS VOLUNTARILY CHOSEN TO SELL AN ITEM OF PUBLIC INTEREST.

CultureYoruba Language Is The Most Influential Nigerian Language Outside Nigeria. by Princek12(op): 11:32pm On Jan 03, 2012
Most Nigerian songs that use our native language use Yoruba language.

Most slangs used outside of Nigeria have a relationship with Yoruba language.

Most foreigners who want to learn or study a Nigerian language choose to study Yoruba. Titi Oyinbo and her colleagues, among others, can bear witness to this.

Yoruba people seem to travel outside of Nigeria more than any other Nigerian tribe (this is based on anecdotal evidence, so don't crucify me).

Anyone who disagrees with me should say so, but please do so civilly.

the customer. the customer puts the business in motion. that's common sense.
supply and demand. HELLO?!  grin
The seller sells the product in the first place, and had the seller never sold the product, the buyer would have nothing to buy. The seller consciously and voluntarily avails herself for sale, so do not blame the buyer who is just paying for a service. It is a business transaction. Common sense.

The seller comes out on top because the seller is making the money, right? So why are you complaining about the prostitutes who get paid for doing something they voluntary did?

You cannot blame the buyer for conferring a financial benefit on the seller.

Goldieluks:
Here they come again with their derogatory statements and assumptions towards Nigerian women. This thread doesn't make sense because the fuel subsidy I believe is affecting both men and women,it is not secluded to just women. I believe most men would go to the lenght of purchasing Petrol from the nearest and cheapest black market,so as to get a good rate and price. So why sounding as if it is only Nigeria women that  runs helter skelter looking for every opportunity to acquire free petrol from men, prior to the fuel subsidy? Hypocrisy is a disease my dear OP.
This is not a derogatory assumption towards women. It is a speculation of how many Nigerian-based women will behave based on their current behavior insofar as telecommunications is concerned. As to telecommunications, many Nigerian women ask men for recharge cards, they flash your phone rather than use their minutes to talk to you, and ask men to buy them Blackberry phones in exchange for whatever they have to offer, among others. This behavior by many Nigerian women foreshadows the same behavior insofar as the hike in petrol price is concerned. To speculate that many Nigerian women will now expect men to burn their own petrol when coming to see them, or that many Nigerian women will now ask men to buy them petrol in exchange for you know what, is a reasonable extrapolation supported by objective facts. Please let's not feign ignorance here about what happens in Nigeria. If you consider that derogatory, maybe many of these women should refrain from engaging in the purportedly derogatory behavior.

Now, if you can't afford to buy petrol at the new rate, Naija girls will not want to date you.

Instead of asking for a recharge card or Blackberry phone, Naija girls will now start asking you to purchase petrol for them or fill their tank.

The new "flashing" will be that guys would have drive to go see a girl, rather than her come to drive and see you, synonymous to the mobile phone behavior where girls call you and hang up expecting you to call them back.

If you don't have a car to pick up your girl, don't even think  that she would drive to come see you, for she would want to conserve her petrol.

Those girl in Lagos clubs and clubs across the nation will now start charging more for you know what, for it would cost them more in taxi fare to go to the club.

Girls will now start giving up the goodies in exchange for buying them a full tank of gas.

The list goes on. Feel free to contribute.
PoliticsRe: Fuel Subsidy Removed - Full Transcript Of Press Release From The Pppra by Princek12(m): 4:36pm On Jan 01, 2012
Even though I am somewhat on the fence on this issue, I am leaning towards the removal of the fuel subsidy. While it appears on its face that ordinary Nigerians would suffer because of this move, I think the country would benefit from the subsidy on the long run (assuming the money saved would be used to develop our decayed infrastructure).

^^^ Im not playing any semantics game. I think theres a big difference between a wife and a mistress! Come on! grin
Anyways, you still have not said anything about this: Women can get bored just like men and can have the same thoughts about " eating the same soup everyday for the rest of their lives"
A wife or a mistress is still another woman. You can call your mistress your wife, which is what a lot of those Nigerian men do. It is semantics. They call any mistress for whom they are finally responsible and with whom they have children their wife.

You may claim that women may get tired of eating the same pot of soup everyday, but the fact of the matter is still that, unlike men, many women do not marry multiple husbands. It is a biological difference, and you can argue against reality and biological disposition all you want.

Many women do not even go around sleeping with multiple men, unlike men who sleep with multiple women and brag about it. When has it become a badge of honor for a women to spread her legs to multiple men? Maybe in your household.

Ok, Im imagining that and if they all like it,then its fine. But in your original post you were talking about a married man with mistresses, not many wives. And Im still saying that women like variety just as much as men do grin
Mistresses, wives, or whatever you call it, they are other women. I am not here to play the semantics game. Many of those men just call the other women wives, anyway, not that they are legally married to them.

The late Chief MKO Abiola called all his mistresses his wives, at least the ones who had his children.

so the people that managed to stay married without "benefiting" from the side are abnormal? Whatever happened to disciplinehuh
Many of those men see other women secretly. Some of them don't have the brazen to stand up to their wife and put her in check so that he can see other women. Not every man has game. It is a biological urge for a man to be with multiple women.

So imagine this:
A man and woman are married and the man starts getting bored and his testosterone is pumping and he feels the need to go out and start Being Intimate.ual affairs with other women. The woman waits happily at home (she loves to knit) while he does this because he apparantly will be soooo happy that he will worship her and she knows she is his no.1 priority.( Not sure how ). When he gets home from seeing slut no.1, the woman falls into his arms in a passionate embrace and they gaze into each others eyes. Its true love!
So imagine this:

A man marries a second, third, and fourth wife or mistress. He rotates them, and they all know about each other. He is faithful and takes care of all of them. His desire to be with other women is done overtly, and he does not have to hide behind his main wife to do it.

3.  Where is the moneyour politicians steal and take to EU, USA, etc? What happens to undiscovered funds Ibori and Alamiesiegha looted?

6.  Can someone explain the reason why American Embassy will hundreds of $$ for visas they know for sure that they will not give you. To make maters worse, they will not explain why they denied you visa and still, they will collect your money.

Yes men and women are" engineered" differently.I did not disagree with that. But it still doesnt mean that women need to "eat one soup" their whole lives.  We can get bored and restless just like any man. What part of that dont you understand?
Unlike most men, who are commended for sleeping with multiple chicks, most women who sleep with multiple men are not commended. In fact, such women are referred to as , for example, whores and sluts. Your argument is inimical and inconsistent with reality, my dear.
