Hardtotrust: I am very very angry right now. I couldn't sleep last night. That is why I'm bringing this here this morning before I do something very bad. A father should be after the growth of his son and not after ruining him.
Please you guys should help me look into this matter. I understand that it was a matter of life and important concern.
I'm seriously struggling in the city to eck a living for myself and do the little I can for my family also. My father was a petty trader who hardly can provide adequate for the family. Some of us who come from a very poor background would understand this better. I mean coming from where absolutely nothing is kept for you. No support from the family and nothing, nothing and nothing. You are the one who die and same you would have to pour yourself water to come back to life. You, you and only you.
I buy fast consuming products and supply to people and make some gains from there. Sometimes I hawk the products. I was able to save up to N150k. Around May this year, I went to the village and bought some rubbers of palm oil and store them to sell around November/December and make gains.
Last week, I got a call that wind pulled off our house roof in the village. Since they are using small torchlight phone, I didn't get to see how serious the situation was. Even though I didn't have money, I sent N15k to help fix it. My father later called me and complained bitterly on why I sent just 15k, that according to the carpenter, that materials and workmanship would cost N65k. In my mind, I was just like, does this man even know how I survive here in the city?
For two nights, they didnt sleep in the house as the wind pulled off the rooof.
On Tuesday, I learnt my younger brother was being operated of Hernia. I know about the hernia but was under plan to raise money for it. And I knew there was no money to settle medical bills for operation. So I was shocked where they got the money to do operation.
As I traveled down yesterday to see them, dear Nairaland friends, all my rubbers of palm oil has been sold and the money spent on fixing the roof and paying for the medical bills for the hernia operation without my notice.
I am not taking this kindly with my father who engineered the whole thing and I want to arrest him to refund my money.
That is my life investment and it took me so much to raise the amount. Due to how things are now. I even wanted to sell two rubbers to invest back as the business is facing challenges now.
What should I do here to recover my money back? If I have another money, I would over look it but that is my life investment of my labour.
My brother, i feel your pain. But let me ask you, do you have an idea what it takes to raise a child from infant to when he/she begins to cater for him/herself? Do you have an idea of the sacrifices your parents had to make to raise you through poverty? You even said it that it was based on life and death situation, yet you want to arrest your own father who rescued your younger brother and put a roof over the family's head because of your quest to save and make more money?
In life we sacrifice to make others happy and in turn God brings more for us. be grateful that you were able to keep the oil and it served a purpose. Who told you God gave you that money only for your plan? Sometimes whatever God gives you is for you to use and sort others out. Are you saying if u had the 150k cash in your bank account you would have closed your eyes/ears for your brother to die and your parents to stay inside rain and sun? Haba, i dont want to call it quest for wealth bc i understand where you are coming. And lest i forget, stop complaining your parents gave you nothing and you struggle all alone. How many people have parents who gave them something? Remove such blame game from your life if you want to make progress. The good thing you is you're healthy and fit to hustle. Just Thank God and continue with your hustle God will answer you soon.
Moment UNIPORT VC asks his aides to take details of female student who dressed "indecently", threatening to dismiss the student.
Take a listen!!!
#wetindeyhappentv
The menace of skimpies by female students across these universities is something else. They over do things more than even the oyibos that introduced the dressing. It's too much. You will see a girl with a big box of clothes when she opens it you find small small pieces of rags, and she can actually wear any of them as clothe. When you talk they will tell you its non of your business, that its fashion and there is freedom of dressing. O! i hear
Offpointng: Do you know the most annoying thing, I don't want to know how Angelic the girl might look or seem, she'll never agree to it if the siblings were to be from the Husband's side
But I doff my hat to any guy dating a girl with so many siblings sha. If your siblings pass 2 and ur family ain't rich enough, I ain't doing no Poverty Alleviating Relationship. I'm not marrying
SKIBiNSKI: The solution is for nigerians to querry their council chairman, governors and officials who are incharge. I have not asked any question, but i will start with why has that road not being repaired by his council? You and I and everyone else should start with and asking that question. By dashing him 10k we are ignoring and denying the real problem. We are also encouraging the councils who are supposed to repair these roads to also not do their jobs. We may not get an answer but we should not shy away from asking repeatedly.
Okay after you ask and receive the answer kindly share with me here let me learn . Thank you
SKIBiNSKI: You see? This here is the problem. Dash him 10k another person will dash him tomorrow and next week God will provide, all that doesn't sound logical or even realistic, it is just sheer hope. Believe! Believe that the sun will shine today! Even though the weather forcaster says it will rain all day! Just keep believing! even God doesn't believe that.
So when? Which years? Will these questions start asking themselves? never! I guess.
What is the solution bros? and which question have you as a person asked in this country and they have answered you as an example? Bc you see, most times its easier to criticise than to provide solution.
SKIBiNSKI: What you should be doing rather is asking questions why the road are not repaired by his local council. isn't it time nigerians stood up to their corrupt tiffing leaders?
If You "dash" him a meagre 10k naira today what about tomorrow? The next day after tomorrow, next week, or next month?
If i dash him my meagre 10k, you bring your own and 100 of us bring, my brother his life will change. By the way, give him that meagre 10k let him manage for today, tomorrow God will provide through any other person. Ask questions? that is, if anyone will be ready to answer you na? If he doesnt answer any question what will you do? What about some of their supporters that will call you wailers etc ? You think Nigeria is serious? Anything you want to do to support people of good will please do, forget the leaders because most of them are not ready to do the right thing.
davodyguy: Stating the fact. There are over 100,000 polling units.
APC and PDP had party agents in all, as party agents are expected to stay at the polling units, count votes there and sign the form before the form is either uploaded it the hard copy taken to the collation Centre.
You're unable to get 100,000 plus agents to assist and you want to claim fraud or rely on IREV.
So what happen in those units that you had no agent? How can you prove fraud?
Tell this Obi guy to stop wasting his time and 🤑
And you expect the court to rely on party agents's results rather than the one from the statutory org(INEC) with the mandate to conduct election and keep records? I think some of us need some education and be unveiled from this politic.al, triba.l and religio.us coverings
Saving it is one thing, using it judiciously is another.
The only way we can applaud this as an achievement is when we see what the money has been used to achieve for the betterment of Nigerians.
Afterall, past admins recovered monies from Abacha's loots, and we celebrated but later when we started asking what they used the money for, no explanations. Nigerians shine your eyes. Our mumu don do.
ysgs: Good day. I am here to reveal how i cured my sister body odour. Ingredients are sea salt, castor oil, activated charcoal, yanko, lemon juice You grind the activated charcoal, grind the sea salt together. Mix castor oil and yanko together. Use the activated charcoal and sea salt you mix together to bath with lemon juce with it. Leave it for like 5 to 10 minutes before you wash it away with water. Then use the castor oil you mixed with yanko to rub your whole body. Repeat this up to 3 times consecutively. Bad odour is gone for life. This tested and working. I have also use it to cure up to 6 different peoples.
ernesco0816517: Why can't Akwa Ibom State Government just copy only this one from Lagos?, INI local government area in AKS has a fertile soil for rice cultivation .
Wish our oil ll dried up,so the govt of AKS can think outside the box,all their thinking is oil money from FG every month....wicked and lazy mofos.
Copy what? Where did u see the rice in Lagos? Or you want Akwa Ibom governor to just be talking like this, finish?
Samantha124: This is the issue I have, I find myself being emotionally attached to my nephews and nieces.. I think them and I have this special bond to a point that most of them also feel comfortable opening up to me.
This past weekend my nephew was taken to an initiation school, I just had to travel all the way from Durban to Polokwane just to see him before he leaves... The last time I left home the relationship between me and my mom wasn't going so well, but my father managed to talk to me and asked that I forgive her even though it's not easy... I was able to put everything aside for the sake of my nephew because I wanted to see him before he leaves for the initiation school.
Those who may wonder what an initiation school is, it's a cultural school whereby kids who are about to enter puberty, or are already in puberty are taken in order to be taught cultural virtues and principles of transitioning from childhood to teenhood.
His mother brought him to the family house on Saturday afternoon, I spent the entire afternoon gisting with him and he was nervous about the whole thing of going to an initiation school... I had to calm him down.. They were already late because other kids had left with their guardians to the mountains in the morning... My mother then called the royal house to make some inquiries and she was told that they could bring the child the following morning which was Sunday.
The following morning my parents and my sister along with my nephew left for the royal house in the village, the boy's father met them there and from there, the boy and the father were taken to the mountains, where the boy will stay with the others for four weeks.
The father just wanted to drop his son in the mountains and leave afterwards, but he was told that he must be around for at least 2 days to make sure that his son is well settled.
It was so difficult seeing him leave and I couldn't hold my tears, he's just so adorable and I sometimes wonder if he'll be able cope with the living conditions in the mountains for four weeks.
I remembered of how he talked about wanting a PlayStation when he visited the family house back in December, so I bought a PlayStation 5 for him as his graduation gift from the initiation school, they'll be having a party at his home when he returns, but I won't be able to go because of the protection order I have against his father... I gave the gift to my sister for her to give it to him.
The relationship between his father and I may not be good, but I love the boy so much like he's my own.
My other brother in law has also talked of how his children look up to me...
So I'd like to know if you guys have also found yourself emotionally attached to your siblings' children.
You're such am emotional person. I guess your type can love like crazy.
Wildkat02: Nobody is whiter than the whites? And I’m not black but negro. I don’t subject myself to that slave language Black, u guys call yourselves.
Waist beads, piercings and local tattoos are all part of the African culture, from the ancient Dahomey empire down to the hinterland in ancient Nigeria. But u guys were brain washed by religion to see everything as evil. So you’re the one trying to be white 😂
How come negros are the ones involved in all this timewasting ventures? You do everything in extreme and say its african culture.
Our forefathers (Africans)never did things outrageously like that. Excessive piercings, walking around with crazy tattoos, mad-looking dreads ,going about almost naked and all that, reduces your image and makes other humans not take you guys serious there.
If you are doing culture why not do it in moderation? here in Africa people still engage in all that but in moderation and it makes it look normal. The mentality of an average so-called negros is parthetic when it comes to such topics.
Wildkat02: Stereotypical mindset. It’s just like saying guys with Mohawk (Gallas) hair style or neat dreadlocks are criminals
oyibo weldon. You are still an african. Stop destroying the society pretending to be what you are not. You are black village Nigerian boy. Stop doing things trying "to be like".
What's your opinion about women with multiple piercings? What do you think of that or them? Does it affect your opinion about such a woman? Will your opinion about a woman change if you notice she has more than the usualpiercings on the ear lobes? I have about 4 piercings on my ear lobes. I don't know if someone's opinion about me will change if they notice that. Or if those piercings will have any effect on how the person sees me.
