A bird in hand is worth more than 2 in the bush Kola5281: A lot has really happened to me on this unemployment wahala since i finished service last year. I initially got a job as a credit officer in a microfinance bank, omooo i won diee for that work cos i didn't know it entails me walking around the whole state just to get customers to take loan and if i didn't meet stipulated target, my salary might get delayed. 2 month into the job, i had already had to resign cos of the hazard the job posed, imagine a young guy like me harassing a 70yr old men & women cos of default, it even got to the point I had accident but God saved me shaa, naso i leave the work ooo. 5 months later after sapa nearly killed me, i got another job in a Medical Lab working as a laboratory officer, i worked there for 6 months and i had to resign this month cos the pay was small and my employer wasn't ready to increase it, imagine graduate collecting 20K monthly ooo , i enjoyed the job just that the money can't solve anything at all, i had to accept the job cos i didn't wanted to sit at home doing nothing but the pay was too small...Now I'm currently searching for job, i have a BSc in Microbiology and i don't mind working anywhere as far as the pay is okay...my Phone number is 07043010958. |

yommyoke: You shouldn't let anything hinder you from your goals in this life, there was a time I had to trek from UI to lautech just to attend a seminar that added value to my life. I trekked to the extent that I lost my shoes along the way and I was sweating out blood. See me now, I bought all the houses along the road to lautech, even that college building was donated in my name. I rented the white house out for free, I also gave aso rock out as a gift, furthermore I built a road to Rome to assist those that may want to follow my lead. If I can do it, don't let your village people tell you that you can't, just one step at a time, that's how you walk thousands of miles till you get to your destination. Always remember that outstanding success requires outstanding hardwork. Thank you werey |

NoToPile: @bolded have things gotten this bad?
As per dressing if you talk too much they will say everyone has freedom to dress the way they want so it's just better to look and pass
The way some girls dress nowadays is very alarming, growing up we were taught some basics of dressing, there are clothes you wear with vest aka Shimi, there are underwear for different types of outfits, chiffon/light materials you wear solid underwear, there's a level to which you must button your shirt to etc etc. The neck line a slim little bust person can get away with, a busty person can't.
Why on earth should I be seeing the line between your buttocks, are you the first person to wear a Jean trouser?
Now some don't even wear pant or bra not to talk of other undergarments. Don't they teach these things anymore? These are basic things I believe every girl should know.
Either way na to look and pass o. |

I recall an incident during Nelson Mandela burial between Michelle Obama and Barack Obama at the burial of Mandela "Madiba".
Michelle seated on the right , Obama seated at the center and a woman seated on the left Obama was seen talking with this woman seated close to her, when Obama was called to give his speech. Michelle quietly sat in the seat Obama was sitting and after the speech Obama sat on the seat Michelle was sitting on the right. THIS IS WHAT I CALLED MATURITY.
The landlady should get a revealing outfit also. However, the truth is some girls are something else. I was at the mall a few days ago and the way some of us ladies dress, I don't know if it is to kill, impress or get attention. You see girl with heavy breast wearing no "bra" and the ones with huge back side with no "pants".
I went shopping and I was at the stand of wines and beverages, with a middle-aged man across the other side. A little girl in her early 20's walked up to the man.
The following conversation happened:
Girl: Hi Man: Hello Girl: So, only you want to enjoy this you buying alone, it unfair, if you need company I am available. I am Dee Man: Thanks I will pass.
What would you call that? Shooting shots gone wrong or what? Well, what do I know, we are in an era of shooting your shots

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Share Your First Job Experience by QuinModah(f): 10:13am On Jun 23, 2022 |
My first
I got my first job in one of the Behind investment management companies in Lagos, shortly after graduating from school, even before going for NYSC.
I found many things interesting. Yeah, good food for lunch. The informal gists with fonee speaking colleagues. I tried twisting my tongue too, make dem no think say aboki no dey speak turenchi, but my aboki accent no gree. I don improve sha.
The craziest thing was getting to work – crazy traffic. Having being used to strolling to classes in the university, adjusting to working life wasn’t easy. In the university, I used to go back to bed after my 5.45am, and sleep till like 7.30am before preparing for classes. I can prepare for and get to class within 30 minutes after all. And I can choose not to attend classes, anyway.
But working in Lagos – my first post-school – was a different ball game. Not funny at all.
I stayed at a very far distance. I had to leave home by 5am every morning, sometimes having to do eat dinner on the road. Of course I was hopping public buses, most times. I still struggled to get to work by 8am. Almost 3 hours on the road, every morning.
Work hours was officially 8-5pm, but with a caveat that “you may be required to work longer hours”. Well, that should actually be the rule, not the caveat. It was long hours everyday. 5pm? The work was just starting. 8pm? Okay, you may be free to go home then. And I spent between 1 to 2 hours on the road in the evenings too. Most times I got home after 10pm, sometimes after 11pm.
It didn’t matter whether there was oro (late night fetish activities in some Lagos communities with prior announcement on restriction of movement after a certain time in the night) in the suburb of Lagos I was staying. Wetin you go tell Oga? “There will be oro in my area today so I have to leave by 7pm to get home before 10? “
Well, guess where I landed on my fifth day at work?
Hospital.
I just sent an sms to my direct supervisor that I wouldn’t be able to come to work that Friday – my first Friday. I spent the Friday at the hospital. Too much stress.
