It is a phenomenal greeting for friends who have financially arrived and attained mutual position of comfort through hardwork. The awkwardness is because they are exchanging such pleasantries as very young men. Fortunately for them, they found an opportunity in tandem with their talents and tapped in accordingly. May we find direction and great grace in life to comfortable greet friends in like manner while aides look on.... |
Lack of strategic vision However, no one till 2019. Both candidates are unfit. Shameful how there are no better alternatives who can fight corruption but Buhari. This seems to be his only key attribute with a barrage and baggage of unsavory past actions and utterances. For the lives of fellow Nigerians lost daily in the North with no evidence of concern by this government, I may be willing to take a risk and vote for the next candidate. Moreso, the present administration lacks strategic wisdom and understanding. I can't comprehend how the President has just woken up to start drawing a plan to tackle corruption after over 54 months in power when his predecessors left a robust system. I do not understand the hype about revamping old railways when impact is nominal or insignificant. I do not understand the noise about building new universities that are way below the standard of existing ones built decades ago. So much spent but little felt. I an non partisan. We indeed need change! |
simplemach:You do not beg terrorists and their sponsors, you find them, prosecute and put an end to their madness. When you do nothing about weeding the roots of this carnage as the head of government, the blood of the innocent citizens lost daily and gallant men who fall due to corrupt practices will be on your hands. This cancer if unabated will spread to the other parts of the body. Act or resign! |
Youngest Killer in the world. Moreso his own mum. What an own goal. A fatal one. Rip to the deceased mum! |
Thank you Lord for my own life. Forgive my complains. All I feel is pity for the tattoo man. May God grant him peace. Amen! |
Correction: N2.97tn is not $5.7b but $16.19b at a dollar to naira exchange rate of 183.45 as at today. With crude oil benchmark price of N65, though still falling, some of us expected the budget to reflect a corresponding average slash of 35% in the wages! salaries and allocations of political appointees and their respective entities. E,g. The National Assembly, The Presidency, etc... |
Hausas have the best culture ever. See how well dressed the bridal train ladies are dressed. But for the insurgency and extremism, the north is an amazing zone of the country. Congrats bride. |
Keneking:Very soon we will be told that wearing of clothes started with GEJ. What an egocentric government.. |
To the TANoids, IBB is a hero worthy of being a mentor to their paymaster albeit his inglorious past and records of destroying Nigeria beyond recognition. A man guilty of every crime they have penned against Buhari and many more. Desperation and fear, the outcome of poor performance! |
@ Post, I do not like Buhari for very few reasons: - allegations of his imminent extremism - allegations of any links to BH - age - relationship with Tinubu who has been adjudged morally corrupt by a cross-section of the public(though exonerated by the court) However, until the allegations above are evidently proven, I prefer to save a vote for him than the feckless head of central government of the FRN. GEJ must be very weak to know so much about APC and Buhari's involvement with BH with no prosecution. I think the President's media aides are the most immature in the history of Nigeria. They are damn too inexperienced and intellectually bereft. They slander any form of opposition and vehemently attack any critic of the indirect fiefdom, misrule and malappropriation by their paymaster. What has a post by some random individual got to do with some people craving for bomb blasts? These guys are extremely unserious. Reno the other day was addressing Osinbajo on how a Pastor should conduct himself. He should direct his sanctimonious sermon the himself and colleague Oche since they are also both Pastors with uncontrollable thirst for hatred and negative propaganda. It is appropriate for a President to be criticized and called names in a democracy. He is the point man at the helm of affairs and must be ready to take the heat. His team should grow up and understand this and learn to choose the right words when addressing citizens who serve as the employers of the President. |
The pose of the two dudes on the floor is classic. ![]() The boy sitting in between the whites must be a lucky one at the time. Most of these people would have moved to the great beyond. Oh life oh life... |
Shameful how GEJ has become a reject as a sitting President. Shocking how Nigerians are willing to unite to vote out an inept government and vote in any alternative, even if the alternative is saddled with an armory of unsavory past! Everyone in our history who desires a second term makes conscious efforts to perform during their first terms suspending the lax for the second tenure. Since the advent of this team, it has been poor results all the way. Their supposed achievements are half baked with huge expenditure and little or insignificant impact on the populace. The President had an opportunity to listen to the voice of the people but instead chose to send his attack dogs for verbal assaults to anyone who opposed his indirect fiefdom. Even if Jega declares him winner come 2015, he would be the first unwanted President in a supposed democratic dispensation. |
@ Post, This must be the most useless article written by Reno. This dude has the effrontery to demean our collective reasoning with this sentimental article shrouded within the ambits of religion. I have said it times without number, and I reiterate, GEJ's media team are wholly responsible for the ethno religious bigotry sweeping across the nation. A citizen of Nigeria in the person of Osinbajo shares his views about the performance of the President by citing him as "visionless" and the best reply is to attack the man's faith. How useless can Reno be? Who is he to pronounce Jonathan as innocent, in a country where corruption is unabated, in a country where people are dying everyday from insurgency which has been left too long unattended to, in a country where poverty and unemployment are in monumental proportions? Imagine him citing Jonathan as the anointed one. Chai, this must be the most satirical nonsense of the year. Anybody can call the President anything. What is important as a media rep, is to give a counter within the remit of the discussions or shut up. In the eyes of these irresponsible aides, Jonathan is without guilt or blame. He is the best thing to ever happen in their lives. They should at least consider that a handful of them eating crumbs from his table are far less than 0.1% of the populace. A leader who cannot withstand criticism is bound to fall, ask King Saul. We have challenges and GEJ's team must acknowledge it. Narcissism and pride will further destroy any iota of goodwill left! |
@Post, Quite disappointing that Etcetera will posit this below grade article and disseminate same to the public. What does Etcetera understand as the roles, responsibilities and functions of a President? Why does the President have near absolute authority in the appointment of heads of government parastatals, Ministries, Departments and Agencies? Why is the President given so much comfort with a huge retinue of aides and paraphernalia of office if he cannot guarantee performance across MDAs? The failure of all systems and sub-units in the present day Nigeria is as a result of GEJ's attitude and complacency. He has shown to all and sundry that he has no intent to punish public officials. The EFCC has become moribund. How do you expect any public official to put in best efforts when he or she is certain there will be no consequence for bad behavior? EFCC, NAFDAC and SON were all active during Obj's days because the President at the time supported the course and objectives they were set up for. Everyone felt the impact of the change in the way things were done. The world all over commended Nigeria. What is the root of the carnage being experienced across the North? Could it not be partly attributed to the inglorious constitution of the PDP which rotated the Presidency between the North and the South? Who has carried out a deep root cause analysis of the daily killings of our innocent co-citizens in the North? Should our soldiers and gallant officers continue to die with poor warfare equipment because they joined the military? Who is studying the underlying reason for the mutiny by soldiers experienced at different times of the year? When will sponsors of this wicked groups be brought to book? How many more will die? Are we going to keep seeing GEJ's supporters continue with their name calling of the opposition when every time a bomb goes off with no reaction or efforts to fish out the doers? Why do the President's media aides and apologists promote ethno religious sentiments? Who do they promote blackmail by digging up any information all in a bid to discredit an opponent instead of spending time to articulate and sensitive the populace on the achievements of their paymaster since the mantle of leadership was entrusted in his hands? Why is there an insignificant or negligible presence of the FG in a notable State like Lagos? What strategic support is the Presidency giving to key economically viable States (Lagos, Rivers, Anambra, Kano, Delta etc) beyond the monthly allocations? The few basic supports in some of the States controlled by PDP are damn too basic for any productive outcome. Why are ministerial appointments now compensations for PDP losers? How many Ministers are onboard on merit? The recent request and receipt of huge donations to support the President's reelection bid through individuals and entities who do not qualify to give such gifts to public officials shows how morally lacking this government is. Is the overhauling of old railway tracks adequate to address the militating traffic situation infra and inter a States? How much has been spent by this administration since inception? Are the achievements commensurate with the amount spent? Are these projects suitable enough to applaud the President as a great performer? - Rehabilitating Ore road, establishing new federal universities (albeit below par), poorly renovating airports at huge costs, supposed revamping of railway system with no measurable impact, giving fertilizers with nominal output contribution to GDP, concession of Second Niger Bridge to be tolled when the FG can afford the expense... The list is endless. No one is blaming Jonathan for the failure of yesteryears. It is apologists like you that try to twist the concerns of the people. Our worry is that his administration has further plunged this nation into serious mishaps and ruins. To be a President requires more. |
Hi, Any one in Lagos or PH proficient in the use of Primavera P6 software and can also provide training services should send me an email on 2305projectsng@gmail.com Thanks. |
Yes, Few wealthy Nigerians Many poor people Many dead people! Bad government! Oga Jona does not know how to talk.. ![]() |
Sincere9gerian:An existing Bridge adjudged to be structurally unstable? How insincere can you be inSincere9gerian? Shocking how the author has painstakingly raised an anomaly for the benefits of his people and how unfair some of his people have reacted. Long way Nigeria! |
Na wa. The author and other supporting contributors in concurrence are only clamouring for the corrupt inflated factor in the PPP arrangement to be expunged and obliterated. None has asked for the construction of the Bridge to be stopped. From the article, N30b should be adequate to complete the construction at the minimum which equates to the FG's contribution. Hence, why put a toll on the bridge? Worst case scenario N50b; and the FG can afford the balance as a spread without a toll. The environmental impact of a toll on such a high traffic Bridge will be a huge burden on the great Igbo nation and residents linked through it. A pilot study can be conducted using the Lekki toll gate with a lesser vokune of traffic compared to the great Niger bridge. This is corruption unabated and every right thinking Nigerian especially Igbos should demand an explanation and request the Bridge be built with no additional burden to the citizens. Apposite infrastructure is a right especially in these days of stringent taxation! |
A prompt and swift response by a responsible government. My prayers with the good people of Sydney, Australia! ![]() |
I reiterate that a Obj has no moral rights to critic anyone let alone his anointed servant. He however has the constitutional rights if his predecessors refuse to prosecute him for his wrongdoings hike in power. Gosh, I love his guts. I need to buy copies of this book before they are confiscated from circulation. If everything he has spoken is correct then we are Balkanized and screwed. Shame on everyone who will kill themselves to support these politicians. Shior.. ![]() |
GEJ needs to attend an orientation camp or polishing school for "Public Speaking" for public office holders. His adjectives and phrases are too basic and crude for the Office he holds. However, I think Okupe, Abati and Reno require the advice much more than any other stakeholder in the political circle! |
If true, good move by GEJ. Kudos |
Everything about the "wrongs" done by others. Nothing about the "ills" done by him. Absolute narcissism. Sir, enjoy your loot and keep mute. I will only take you and Atiku serious, the day you both apologize publicly for your bad and vindictive governance saddled with extreme corruption. You are the bad architect of the state of affairs of the nation. Good night Sir. ![]() |
Mercy and mercy oh Lord. Deliver and forgive me of my iniquities. Amen! |
The best way to reduce cost is to ensure design is well coordinated and all materials, personnel and sequence of works are well defined before commencement. Abortive works due to poor planning and reworks due to bad quality are the major reasons for cost overruns. |
Ini looks like the bride to be wedded. Emem looks like the mother of the bride. ![]() Congrats to her though. Looks matter for the wedding only. A respectful and good attitude is the most pertinent to sustain the marriage. ![]() |
In a country where impunity reigns and no one at the top gets punished, everyone will take the C in C for granted. A shame how our esteemed military and paramilitary forces are facing these daunting challenges. We need a leader. A leader we need! |
superneutral:The way my brothers malign the English language is unbecoming for a fountain of knowledge. It is well... |
Lovely and great. I love the front view of the red car. Kudos to Innoson and GEJ's administration for the positive development. It is imperative that these vehicles are at the least 25 to 30% cheaper than their foreign counterparts. Else it will be forced patronage by government agencies only. |
keypad1:if Buhari is responsible and he walks about freely, then Mr President is without a heart, unfit to lead and is primarily responsible for this evil. |
