Just outstanding.
Not looking his age at all.

In 'autodom' a classic car should be at least 25 years old and a vintage car 50 years, so this is somewhere in between.
However the value of these definitions are in eye of the beholder since they are both considered to be auction pieces.

The role is temporary, has its own attendant risk and it is governmental.
Everywhere in the world, such roles pay more because they are short termed.
By a government that deceitfully came on board on tha mantra of prudence having criticised the previous government of profligacy.
You will have have thought such positions will be rendered unnecessary, such services handed over to the civil service or paid for by the penny.

In a proper democracy, having seen the economy deteriorate over the term of the government, shouldn't it be cutting costs here and there and relieving unimportant jobs to save money to show the citizens it feels their pains so that the citizens will faithfully join them in pleading with all these trade unions kicking?

As a father with responsibilities to your family can you spend your resources like this if your personal economy is comatose?

Nigerians are just waking up to good governance and will learn the hard way what democracy means to good governance by untold hardship. The hardship that will crush sentiment in due time.

When you see political office holders abroad riding taxis and flying business class while their third world counterparts are given luxury SUV's and PJ's to gallivant around the world by a hungry, hapless citizenry, realise that the cycle of revolution will eventually come when the peaceful transition to an egalitarian society via restructuring is resisted by the owners of Nigeria steadfastly holding unto the status quo.

There is also a small mention about the tripartite complex relationship between him, IBB and MKO, the details of which are interesting but set the scene for all the wrong things that happened a few years later in the political history of Nigeria.

Hmmm..... where is the one they have been fixing for 7 years.
You have been told many, many times to stop reinforcing failure.
There should be a penalty for poor governance if not poor governance will not stop, everyone will make excuses and carry on in mediocrity.

If a perty and a government fears that it will lose future elections it will be mindful of today's governance.
If the PDP was removed in 2015 for bad governance what will you call this.
If Mr. Tinubu knew these past 7 years that Mr. Buhari will scuttle his own chances in 2023 he will have been more vocal against bad governance as the National Leader.

Let our democracy work abeg and a working democracy is one which changes parties and governments that do not perform, simple.

And yet idiots will continue to villify ASUU, and some nitwits even saying they work for opposition parties ignoring the shocking fact as I learnt yesterday that the highest paid lecturer and most distinguished professor earns just N500,000 monthly.

The structure of Nigeria CAN NEVER move this sick, unjust country forward.

Sai Baba, Sai Baba the incorruptible. Vote him to end corruption they chanted in 2014. Let us ignore other glaring inadequacies as corruption is our biggest problem they pleaded. 8 years later the country is in ruins and the corruption they made so much noise about rages on like wild fire.

After so much sacrifice what has the average Nigerian gained from this error of a government.

The next president will come and struggle again.
When we say leadership is the problem of this country, I just feel we all trying to shift total blame on one person. Anyone holding a key position in government is a leader. That is just one small hospital you talking about. It happens in all other hospitals in Nigeria. What about secondary schools, the power sector, security etc. Is it the people the present that we still check..it is painful.
No too much expectation for Obi
All leadership, that is visionary leadership has to do is to push for restructuring.
This involves bringing people together and asking them how they want to live, simple.
Their answers will impulse leadership into action.
Nigeria is very easy to lead, just ask the British colonialists.
We just do not know how?
NYSC › Re: The Massive Corruption At The Government Hospital Where I Did My NYSC: Ex Corper by Reference(m): 1:02pm On Aug 16, 2022
It will continue as long as the present structure subsists.

Put an end to 'allocations' and the monthly sharing of Federal 'income' and all that will end before sunset.
Those States will be forced to eagle eye their parastatals.
Our structure is the fuel that fires corruption.
The youngest states in Nigeria are about 26 years old, old enough to fend for themselves, the oldest are 55 years, old enough to take care of daddy and mummy.

In proper context States are expected to take care of the Federation, not the other way round.
If Nigeria were run as an enterprise by now the branches should be returning investment or wisdom will determine mergers or liquidation.
What a failed entity called Nigeria.

Just demarketing his principal.

What he says in a nutshell is that the challenges are beyond this administration and likely will be too difficult for the administration he promotes to solve.

If another candidate emerges with a solution is that not game over for his party just as Reagan crushed Carter in 1980.

Realist12:
It's easy to blame when you're in opposition. Atiku and Obi will continue blaming the federal government but when you asked them what they have contributed to Nigeria we can't point to one single thing. Electing either Atiku or Obi will simply mean Nigerians are not learning. It simply means the future aspirants can do the basics and contest for the presidency just by capitalizing on the errors of past administration to campaign.
I say we follow track records , Lagos is progressive we need Lagos spirit to move this country from this stagnant or retrogrssive state.
Deep down all of us wants what's happening in Lagos for Nigeria compared to what Obi did in Anambra and what Atiku did as the vice president

That is why we need Tinubu, the chain of command and the system of continuity matters in dispensing good governance, we all see how he held Lagos down for all of us . The state is on a fast lane whist the country is slow.

Same dumb stuffs y'all reiterating. Is Nigeria competing with UAE? Do you know how many developed cities are in UAE ? Lagos is even taking giant strides with Eko Atlantic

Man you're not been honest, why single out Dubai when there are other cities doing well in UAE . Nigeria is slow only Lagos is taking giants leap, you can see Eko Atlantic , conceived in 2003 . It seats the tallest buildings in Nigeria as at now, if you consider the storeys, nitel building just has a taller mast .
Let's pick Ikorodu from the mainland can you tell me any states capital in the East more developed than Ikorodu As you like to compare you can compare Anambra Gdp to Namibia's and tell us why Anambra isn't as developed as windhoek . Fact is Lagos is defying the odds holding Nigeria down and making headway for itself.
What kind of hypocrisy is this. What did Mr. Buhari contribute to Nigeria before being elected? Was his previous stinct as Head of State successful? Was he not elected solely based on perception that corruption was the big Nigeria problem and he was the solution.

So when others come with a perception that they can do this and that it now becomes a problem to you.

No one scrutinized candidate Buhari then and no one us scrutinizing the leading candidates now. Same thing and there will be same result by 2027.

The FA gave more latitude to referees this season to allow the game flow more this season as the same fans have been complaining that players pretend a lot and disrupt the flow of the game.

SmartPolician:
If we are honest in this country, we will not dispute the fact that the government has to partially remove PMS subsidy to save her from huge financial burden.

If these idiotic APC members had allowed Jonathan to remove PMS subsidy, we would have saved this country a lot of money.
This will put more money in the hands of government..... TO DO WHAT WITH IT.
Remember it is the common man paying oh.
Remove subsidy and the airports will completely close. No one will afford to travel as inflation will surely hit 30 to 40%.

So, do the citizens of this country trust the government to spend the money from subsidy removal well, particularly to their benefit.
Do they control the way the government spends presently.
Look at the big budget expenditure, the civil service.... how many people does it employ..... but that is where the subsidy money will go.
Look at the big budget projects, the rail system.... how many people does it carry or employ..... but that is where the subsidy money will go.
Will it pay for better education?.... uncertain, because government appears no to want to honour the agreement with ASUU, etc.
Will it pay for better social services.... uncertain, because government has not accounted for what it has spent so far.
Will it pay for better healthcare..... uncertain, because government has not accounted for the huge pandemic resources received and spent.

That is the problem.
We have descended into a bad economy we the citizens did not directly contribute towards destroying so no one is prepared to contribute by sacrifice to rebuilding. Give them more money and more cars will be given to Niger Republic they say. This government does not understand that it has to walk the talk to get everyone in line to help it.
Travel › Re: Lagos Airport Empty Amidst High Cost Of Flight Tickets (Photos, Video) by Reference(m): 2:55pm On Aug 15, 2022
Before nko.

That is the same economics befalling the highly trumpeted train services to which we are plunged into huge debts.

Last week the tickets for Lagos - Ibadan was reduced in the face of cutting the number of rides due to high diesel costs. Clearly the NRC is struggling.

In the north the trains are grounded due to poverty induced crime.

The summary is clear.
Infrastructure is a tool for development where it is done properly. Where the expenditure largely goes to creating jobs and spuring local industry so that the
loans directly trigger economic wealth.

But you take so much money as credit and then give it out completely to foreigners and foreign companies while asking your people who are worse of to pay the loans, this is the result, poverty.

The airports are a barometer of the real economy, not the one based on propaganda by government.

And to be sure how badly this government has done in the face of COVID and Russia - Ukraine, note that air travel is expanding rapidly in other parts of the world post COVID.

As a matter of fact there was a report last week that a certain airline abroad had to tell its top management to hit the airport terminals and concourses to handle baggage because of lack of staff to handle the rush.

We clearly donot have a cerebral government so when the big bad wolf of globalization hits, our house built of straw is blown away.

Vote for capacity not sentiment folks, for there are many more pandemics and wars coming to shake the world. We want at leaders of actions, not excuses.
