Pandev:That is why it is called a FAITH. And the JUST will live (conduct his/her affairs in this life) by his faith. Faith is the substance (the currency) of his hope of salvation, the concrete evidence you speak about. On your part there are many things you accept and believe even though you have never seen them or touched them. On a daily basis you exercise faith in many things without knowing just that they are not in God. |
vincijr:It is called a paradox. |
Just relax Mr. Alake. If your principal becomes President then he is obliged to fully disclose his business dealings and the details of Alpha-Beta's involvements will become public knowledge as FOI works at the Federal level and of course there are lots of folks out there with a lot of information and are willing to share with folks whose waking job is to open graves. |
Guyman01:Totally agree but I have also come to terms with the reality that defections has also contributed to broadening the polity. Without defections the APC will not have assumed power in 2015 and the PDP will likely have remained in power till this day with catastrophic consequences. So we must assume and hope that as the polity evolves ideologies politicians will settle down to serve and promote those ideals they identify with. There are already good signs in the new breed of candidates at the highest levels that this can be done and is probably coming. For one, there is no doubt that Peter Obi is Conservative, at the very least, a fiscal conservative and if he can make his party adopt this ideal then either the PDP or APC will in turn assume the polar opposite. And in the candidature of Mr Tinubu this is exactly the case. |
bitbybit123:Then his ambition is gone forever. He will not recover from that. The only path for his alliance with any other party is one that will make him President in the future. If he is not guaranteed that he has no benefit forming alliances. What else is he looking for. He has been a Senator, Minister, nothing else holds attraction to him in government particularly a person who is not a greedy money monger. |
bennybuhari:No sir. Too ignorant. |
Well the top contenders are guilty of that so we can call this a moral....or an immoral tie. |
Jones4190:I think water has passed under this bridge (pun intended). If the cost of that bridge and all the so called infrastructure is the total destruction of the economy of Nigeria through financial recklessness then it is absolutely not worth it. I am certain the vast majority of Nigerians will prefer Nigeria the way it was before this government arose in 2015, bridges, railways inclusive. It has proven to be a very costly error. |
Hmmm.... so what is Wike's war cry about.... ![]() Wonder what Atiku will be thinking seeing this.... |
Bournemouth is the sure team going down. Few teams recover from a double whammy. |
'...the mood of the North does not support a Southern presidency...' I respect his honesty. And that remains my position. That Nigeria is a tribal fiefdom with primordial sectional interests. Without restructuring an average PVC is completely useless. It simply cannot produce qualitative leadership and halt the regression of this country. |
Martinez39s:I hadn't seen him before (Bundesliga is not on t.v) but the moment I saw him this was exactly my first comment. That, how will this man be prolific in a league where defences are notoriously tight and the game is so fast paced. |
PlayMaker14:Good marks for presentation. Well done. This is where Nigeria's culinary industry scores very low. |
Here we go again. I think I have heard that somewhere before. |
There are Nigerians who won't understand this. They just want the certificate to join the mass ranks of unemployables and incompetents. How can you get a Honours Certificate for a Life's work for less than $1,500 dollars. I certainly do not want that kind of lawyer handling my case, that kind of doctor opening up my body or that kind of engineer putting a roof over my head. We have scant regards for values in this country and it shows. |
Sleekfingers:Then it is called a fine or penalty not a tax. Government may use fines in their slush funds but taxation is a serious matter because it is statutory, not random. It is an instrument of reformation in any society of citizens and governments. I tell you it has brought down empires when not handled properly.. |
Funny man. But he will not say anything about the folks in charge of the 'macro-economics' that is adversely affecting his 'micro-economy'. He is busy chasing rats while his house is on fire like most folks on this forum. I am sure he is one of them praising the government that is justifying the huge amount of money borrowed for so called infrastructure that has not boosted but rather degraded the economy and impoverished himself and cut his daily protein 'allocation' in half. Weird citizens. |
Sleekfingers:The last time I checked Lagos is not the US. There there is accountability, transparency, no revenue 'consultants aka agents & agency fees' and a government recurrent budget that does not consume 75 percent of revenue. There they see what every penny paid goes towards and finally it is they the citizens that order the stuff that demands the money from taxes. Government tried that in Abuja a few years ago and were taken to court and it all ended within 6 months. Not everyone will take anything anyhow. Government everywhere in the world owes the citizens a burden of proof that any tax particularly new taxes are absolutely necessary and the very last resort particularly in a bad economy. When last did the Lagos State government publish its account which is the only basis for seeking new revenue. |
jkpbestseries:Yes and governments get elected and fall on tax issues so citizens have a way of hitting back at excessive and unnecessary levies and taxes particularly when the economy bites. Right now in most of the developed world due to economic pressures taxes are being cut to counter inflation as a means of putting more resources in the hands of the public so they do not stop spending, here the reverse is the case and we wonder why people and small businesses fold up in record numbers siting cost of doing business. If other coastal states of Nigeria seize the initiative and build comfortable corporate nests it is just a matter of time before businesses begin to relocate out of Lagos after the fact. |
Hahahaha... that is the future of Nigeria under a Tinubu led APC government. Everything will be taxed to feed the appetite of big government, contractors and of course shady revenue consultants like we all know. Tax and spend government indeed. Nigerians should fasten their seat belts. If you all like be busy chasing Shettima's apparel and don't start asking serious questions of the contestants before you vote for them. Na una business. |
Just one huge mass of genetically modified vegetable that probably cannot be useful anywhere else but a prison galley. |
But if the proposed train service is actually a rapid transit system stations need not be large and as elaborate as this as there should be a good number of them in areas that are presently completely built up. What you then have is a central terminal where a full workshop and ancillary facilities are located somewhere at the extremities.... just my thoughts. |
And who's money are these silly fellows wasting up and down like this.... ![]() This is becoming really annoying and I am disappointed that no one is complaining about the spiralling state of the country and the dead pilots at the controls. |
Moh247:The south-west had it for 8 years, the south-south 6 years. And who makes you the judge about merits or not of the south-east bid. |
onez:And whose fault is that? Are government agencies not buying recharge cards and funding their calls? Are they not buying fuel for their vehicles and power plants? Are they not subscribing to cable tv in their offices.... where is the money from? What is the difference between power, energy and telecommunications..... these DISCOS are not serious. |
But why the so called government interventions with taxpayers money. This is not right. Why didn't they just allow them go bankrupt so that they can be sold to new investors. That is the simple and right way to go. And that is why they have the temerity to take legal action against their nationalisation, because the feeling is that they are too big to fail and government is obliged to keep them afloat indefinitely. It is government that has caused this scenario. And it is the same issue with Federal Universities and other institutions to which government is confused as to whether they are social services or not. Government should be clear minded and act responsibly. If DISCOS cannot handle their responsibilities there are enough laws to end it and enable others that are better take over. |
In a regime that was supposed to correct the wrongs of the previous as concerning corruption amongst others for which it was voted in. Nigerians are clearly saying all these do not matter and they will risk continuity with a new driver in 2023.... just amazing... chai. Folks, it is what the people tolerate that will be their experience. No nation on earth in all history was developed against the will of the people. It is not possible for any leadership in minority to succeed at anything without the complicity of the citizen majority. |
Maxymilliano:So the NFF is just knowing this. Well the citizens out of sentiment will all not agree that wrong is wrong, that poor management is poor management so those on authority will not be punished. We are a nation that cannot sort ourselves out, cannot solve even rudimentary problems and so cannot progress in any meaningful way. My faith in Nigeria is almost ended. |
The first picture perhaps shows the 'ugliness' he was talking about and none worse to a man than crass attitude. Believe you me it trumps all looks and cannot be covered by cosmetology. |
Owontime:But why insulting simply because he makes fun of your beloved candidate. You guys are just impossible, intolerant, vindictive and hypocritical. And like I said a few days ago, exactly the same as other fanatical supporters that browbeat others. Now that your party is in the hot seat and defacto in opposition courtesy of a poor 8 years in power, you lash out at even pun intended. Abeg take it easy. |
German, French, Italian and other second world soccer clubs will be glad. If UEFA does nothing only English and Spanish clubs will be winning the Champions league. |
Nigerians never take anything seriously. Of what use is this to the state of this country. That is why politicians repeatedly fail to take the citizens seriously. |
