marylandcakes:Reproduction is a necessity for those with positive sustainable values. If one has nothing positive to contribute to society then there is absolutely no need to have further copies. |
Because ma'am you are selfish and self serving basically. |
He should start immediately and without delay. Let them return to repair their countries of origin. |
Just wonder why this thing recurs often. An air incident and there is so much delay in getting the plane to the ground. You hear electrical problems, mechanical problems, structural problems, instrument failure, fire, etc and the crew will be busy seeking to 'repair' things sometimes even arguing amongst themselves while the aircraft falls apart mid-air. Where there is smoke there is fire and the momemt smoke is detected an emergency should be declared and the plane put down asap. I'm sure in this case the pilot waited for feedback from the cabin crew before taking action. He would have asked them to find the source, neutralize it and then continue in pretense as if nothing happened. Fifteen minutes to Accra could have meant the loss of that plane if it had been more serious. The passengers were just lucky. The pilot should have come down in Benin or somewhere closer to the incident even if it meant turning back. A fire onboard a flight in northern europe was lost because the pilots had to circle back over the ocean to dump fuel as regulated. I would never do that. I would head to the nearest airport and take my chances crash landing there. Same thing with the Dana flight from Abuja to Lagos that crashed. One engine failed and instead of putting the plane down at Ibadan or Akure, they continued to Lagos, the second engine failed and all hydraulics were lost. The plane fell like a stone. Just so annoying. |
sweerychick:Impossible. And this your assertion is one of the reasons why. You just speak out of emotion and not analytically and this lack of critical thinking is why we are where we are. The average Nigerian is too ignorant to be in that list. First and last of all, looking at the list you immediately observe that all these countries are sparsely populated so the revenue generated is not spread thin as in Nigeria but more concentrated. None of these countries is heavily industrialized so just don't go the way if work ethic or technology. They are just better managers ond keep their loins in check and their borders tight. They are all very introverted countries and territories. The US has incredible productivity so has China but they are all weighed down by huge populations so are not there. Nigeria on the other hand has every possible bad index. Highly ignorant, poorly educated, sexually indisciplined, lazy, corrupt. No amount of natural resources can overcome these debilitating challenges. Our population however is the primary reason why this country can never become rich. It is the same for a family, a community, a state and of course a nation. |
Night vision goggles for what mbok.....hmmm.... |
Some of us just prefer pure-breds. These are meant for entertainers and their blingy lifestyle abeg. Not impressed one bit. |
Beans is best. Drops your weight like a stone despite your other bad habits. |
In Nigeria he will be kept in the mortuary while his relations seek loans and sell property to buy beer and food and show off to folks they don't know and who don't know them. See as multi-millionaires appear sombre, without drama and funfare, seeking no pleasure from the misfortune of others. We are indeed primitive. |
This Alpha- Beta again. Haba. They have been running Lagos for a decade and a half. What are they consulting that has no end. This is just so disgusting. |
I don't know why Nigerians are so ignorant about the state police issue. In my opinion the police is at the service of the people. It is the people who are presently fighting to have policing come closer to them and not the Governor's forum or other such interests. Thus it will be a pity if the people wrestle law enforcement power from the autocratic centre only to hand it over to yet another autocratic state system. I don't understand what will make it imperative that the people should hand over the police to a Fayose or a Wike or a Ganduje, or an El-Rufai when thwy have tirelessly complained about the handling of the Federal police by Prwsident Buhari, Jonathan, Obasanjo, Abacha, Babangida and all before him. When they seek to change the Constitution to restructure law enforcement in Nigwria they can and should make sure it comes with all the safety systems possible and they, the people should be firmly in charge of appointing the head of their local police to do their bidding and not just that of the governor. Nuff said. Nigerians afw too ignorant and lazy to have a etter country. Citizens of other nations we envy fight tooth and nail, day in, day out to have a better society by controlling the outcomes of their power output via the polls. We on the other hand think democracy means elections only as a means to the end. Vote a liar and get el-dorado. While the truth is that voting is just the gunshot that starts the race and you have to sweat to win. |
Throwback:....and to think the chap actually looks like Stephen/Sam L Jackson in 'Django Unchained'..... |
Our Vietnam...... when will the authorities start to do the right thing. |
When the Lagos state government has been borrowing all these years to make it a so called mega city, Lagosians didn't know a day of reckoning will come when thd money men will decude how they and their children will live now and in the future. Unfortunately same thing is happening at the federal level. Unprecedented borrowing just this past two years and of course the tsunami of taxes are coming. |
Our Vietnam..... nothing else to say. Nigerians have clearly failed. |
Jeezuzpick:And what is a crowd Einstein? |
ClumsyFlimsy:If you love your tribe you are a tribalist aka racist. Whatever you love has power over you and will form/reform you in its image. No one is debating the life and times of the man. No one one wants to know the history of this country. They all prefer the ease of gross ignorance and convenient dialogue of racism. And as a man thinks so he is and so becomes his environment and his experiences. That is why the knowledge to make even the basic, right decisions at the polls is lacking. And yet they complain about the resultant suffering their bad decidions foist on them courtesy of their ignorance. So to all Nairaland racists and those across Nigeria, continue. More grease to your elbows. Your suffering knows no end. |
The truth of the matter and what I see of this PSG team now and in the future is that the strength and competitiveness of thehome league matters because no matter how much is invested in a club by way of players and coaches form is important and a team can only maintain top form if the quality of opposition it plays week in week out is high. That is why Spanish teams do so well on the continent. They play at a high level every week. So the owners of PSG should realise that football is not just a team game but a 'teams game'. It is the same reason that Celtic with all the experience of playing champions league every year cannot make impact due to the poor standard of the Scottish league. The gap between PSG and the rest is just too huge and the FFF had better find the means of attracting investment to other clubs. The speading investments in the English game attracting international talent on the field and dugout has resulted in the large number of English clubs in the latter stages of thd CL. Incidentally it is why Nigerian clubs are poor on the continent. The quality of the home league matters. |
A woman is alwaya a woman. No matter how well educated, exposed, enriched, and endowed the law of God always stands and women will always seek to strip to be appreciated. If her endowment is in the mind, then what is the value of the body. |
salegella:That is what I am saying. This line of thought has a few months left to expire. After 2019 it will no longer be legal tender in Nigeria. And whatever is seen and experienced can no longer be blamed on the previous regime. Moreover this regime has spent more than half the timespan of the previous regime in total. |
I hope if he contests and perhaps wins he and his party will take responsibility for the country which they refuse to do uptil now. Because once the four year term is over the country will have been moulded in their own image. |
By 2019 everyone will be demystified. |
femo86:Hahaha...they may be stuck in Lagos traffic sitting in lemons about to fall apart at the rewelds. Abeg Nigerians are too dishonest to drive used cars. Let us not wait till a major vehicular calamity before we support and promote our indigenous auto industry ang made in Nigeria vehicles. |
Our Vietnam war. But c'mon Nigerian Army the guy should have been rotated out. Is the army this stretched. |
what are yea all moaning about. Take your own kids to vote....and the pet racoon too. |
[quote author=SpaceAngel post=65487556]the main thing that caught my attention is the charger, 50Kilowatt!!! That is for commercial applications. They can provide a 10kw home charger for 10 hr to 80% charge. Problem is without PHCN a 20 kva gen will consume more than 50 litres of diesel for that 10 hour run. And only God knows how much that will cost if you put it on PHCN smart meters if power is available. You will probably burn 20,000 naira worth of cards....or more. I would like to get one, but just for the novelty factor. It remains impractical and grossly uneconomic in Nigeria except you somehow get your electricity free, aka government folks. |
Wrong post. |
And when I am back to base I can afford to drive back home for lunch and take a power nap before heading back to the office within the hour. The same house someone in Lagos pays rent to spend only 4 hours a day in. Same four hours he spends in traffic. Mbok how much is the salary disparity in Lagos....abi na dollar dem dey pay. Ha. |
dammy222:You're really suffering oh. So what if nature calls....hmmm...una dey try. |
dammy222:Then what is the point of having a house. You may as well just adopt the methods of the chinese and ask management to provide a crash pad for workers since that job is your life. And here we are thinking slavery had ended. Lagos is what God had in mind when the cursed the ground because of Adam. '...in tears and sorrow will you eat of it until you return to the ground' (para). God forbid. If that is what it takes to live there, mbok I pass. I want to live well. I have only one life. |
masterP042:Don't mind them. The Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerbergs and Elon Musks were unknown, unheralded kids with big dreams of changing their world when they started. Most of us in this entity called Nigeria should re apply to God the Creator for our real status. There must have been a mistake in allocating some of us a soul when it is clear we are animals. |
But they have the 'money man' as well....or could it be a 'black thing'. |
