Okay sir, we will stop shaving it. We will braid it. What style do we adopt. |
It is not a matter of weaponry alone but of training, tactics and doctrine. |

hushpapi:I am sure every soul in Benue wished he had a gun and a legal right to use it in self defence. Abeg sit down. The gun laws of America and constitution rights section predated any organised and constituted law enforcement agency even local ones thoughtless of national ones akin to the Nigerian Police Force established before independence, check out when the FBI was formed. Yet 58 years after independence we cannot even make a dent on crime through our so called Police Force. And when we do how many criminals are dealt with by our criminal justice system. So don't dare compare and don't dare criticise a system that is light years ahead. It may interest you to know that though Trump is the most powerful man on earth with unimaginable and unrivalled tools at his disposal, he doesn't enjoy the liberties an average Nigerian leader has to use them. He cannot send his Army to massacre his people protesting for secession. So to whom is given absolute liberty is demanded absolute accountability. Buhari will be criticised and where necessary held accountable. Failure to do that will condemn this nation like the rest of Africa to perpetual desolation and misery. The one before him was criticised and lampooned for his inadequacies and failings. Who is Buhaŕi that cannot or should not be. |
I would like to read the autobiographies of these Igando Court Judges at some point in their illustrious careers. There would be stories that touch aplenty. |
calddon:Because you are focused on self, that's why. Focus on others and on service and you will find many willing to quietly partner with you to do things and leave you with the credit. People have founded multi million naira enterprises starting out with an eye for service. So don't view it as the National Youth Self Service Corps. Go out and get busy. |
Not Nigeria alone. Any society that places a premium on the potentials of the loins over that of the brain is bound to have more hapless folks making hopeless decisions than wise and positive ones. |
kennygee:Hmm...yes indeed. The greatest conundrum of our time... 'are women sexual objects'. They say no, but I know of no woman who will take offence at being called 'sexy' at some point in her metamorphosis to grannyhood. This lady in question acknowleges that fans tag her not for her acting skills but 'her beauty'. The question is: Can the average lady today delineate the limits of beauty and appeal. In summary, what is at play in the mind of a woman concerning her looks, her personality and the outside world. |
If you heeded his advances and succumbed to his threats then you have been walking around with a fake certificate and questionable competencies all these years. Why didn't you squeal then. Every company and employer you worked for has been conned by your dark secrets and deserve compensation for being defrauded. A societal attitude like this is the beginning of development. When we begin to take causes and effects more seriously. 20 years a sexual predator. He is looking at decades in the slammer if our criminal justice system works. |
PaChukwudi44:Even nature slows you down with age because you are expected to be loaded with virtue. There is a stage you get in life when everything you do is thought out very, very carefully. Insurance companies will not touch such cases. They will not insure a Ferari bought by a fifteen year old even if he can afford the premium. It was highly unwise. |
SLIMDON88:That is what France said when Hitler's Germany invaded Poland.... |
And you drive a Range Rover Sport on that salary. Abeg, get lost. |
Appears the ruthless Barca of the Pep era is long gone. To be spending such vast sums on new players who have not fundamentally upgraded the team shows there are storm clouds gathering. The post Messi era fast approaching will be interesting. |
Wow. Both City and Barca out. Who'd had seen that a month ago. Football is indeed a wierd game. |
With all those things going for him he decided to take a crazy risk. Anyway I don't usually sympatize with those who meet with accidents at parties and burials. If you consider yourself as valuable as a king, then you become a scarce commodity to influences and 'affluences'. |
Only restructuring can save this country. Imagine the once homogeneous south-west delaminating along religious lines. So sad. |
It should be properly maintained or taken to abigger stage beibg a historical artifact of a significant national personality who accounted for a significant portion of our collective history. |
ultron12345:There is no indication in the report to the fact that their Nigerian subsidiary was 'highly profitable' as you allege. They spoke of better margins due to cost cutting on alternative fuels. That is not necessarily profit when you have a large unsold inventory because infrastructure projects you anticipated did not materialise such as the Calabar 'superhighway' which within the catchment area of their Calabar plant. Cement sales tie in closely with infrastructure. Engineering companies did not do well last year due to the poor economy. You don't expect material manufacturers and vendors to be insulated from that. |
Nwodosis:Hmmm..... a very touchy subject in conflict resolution. Soldiers often donot take it lightly viewing the sacrifices of their collegues and themselves in vain. Politicians should always be conscious of this fact and make sure the military is always catered for intoto. For this reason the former president of France, the great General DeGaulle was the subject of several assassination attempts by the OAS, a rebel group of former french soldiers who fought and died to keep Algeria a colony of France. They felt betrayed and wanted revenge when DeGaulle gave up the colony cheaply and without preconditions and to make matters worse gave up some of their collagues to local authotities to be tried for perceived crimes against the citizens during occupation. |
NairaMaster1:The average woman lives and dies for the love of nudity and is constantly conscious of the peversions of sexuality. Not satisfied with their own, they want men to join in. Religious leaders, scholars of repute, political heavyweights and women of influence. Successful, industrious, enterprising women.... none of whom are spared the desire to display their secret wares. |
What are they investigating. He should be sacked immediately and handed over to the police. It is their job to investigate. Normal institutions with zero tolerance to demeaning, damaging scandals will act first and pay damages later if the perp is found not guilty. I hope they realise in this age of social media and global news this will cast doubt in all the certificates they issue from patrons both a home and abroad. As usual Nigerians and OAU graduates will overlook this as a simple matter until someone somewhere uses these incidents to judge them and as a criteria in job, professional and academic interviews. That day will surely come sooner or later. There is no way my children will attend a government run educational institution. That will never happen. |
SamuelAnyawu:Ask me. They want to dump yet another 'Accidental Servant' on Nigeria..... unwilling and thus unable. |
But what are the practical options. Yes, he has not done well. Yes, Nigeria is worse than he met it. But is the slide systemic or Buharic. We should think carefully before renacting the 2015 blunder. Change the game ratber than the players. Restructure Nigeria now. |
TheShopKeeper:Where is the person. This is just 12 months to the end. In sane societies there will be at least half a dozen candidates all out with their manifestos chasing the incumbent from pillar to post as credible alternatives. Here there is defeaning silence from the political class save ond or two wannabe kingmakers without a shred of credibility the INEC campaign timetable not withstanding. Look, aan alternative to Buhari will just be as ill prepared as the incumbent was in 2015 which will be twice as bad. Let this government run the next term warts and all. It will amount to sheer madness to experiment yet again at such short interval. Nigeria simply cannot survive another gamble with unprepared leadership. |
That is the best thing going forward. There are no ready, credible options out there. Once more the failed structure called Nigeria has left us with a stark choice..... Hobson's choice. |
NoToPile:Hmm.... apparently correct but like most rhings in Christianity it appears contradictory to some teachings and acts of Jesus Christ Himself. That is why true Christianity is not religious legalism but a simple relationship between man and God. What the church did was anything but love. I do not think God Almighty will have been pleased. Jesus Christ died for all. We badly need the Holy Spirit to lead us in everyday decisions. |
The interior design does not cut it at all. Asians should not design high end stuff. They are naturally and culturally conservative. With that price tag you'd expect better. Even top end American motor homes are fairer. Give the interiors to the Nords, French or Italians. |
Hmmm...appears to work but like most things in life there may be a fallout.. will observe for a while because I had intended to warehouse GLO as unservicable due to its atrocious service. |
I was saying on the Liverpool thread. Donot bet on a team that has just experienced an emotional rollercoaster. There is no way performance can be guaranteed. Just look at Roma as well losing at home. |
tomakint:Looks are deceiving. They came for food, just as the crowd gathered around Jesus, not for salvation but for miracles. This crowd is expecting miracles the PDP simply cannot deliver. |
KenOne:And what if Buhari from the north is arrested for corruption, won't various Arewa groups not go up in arms. A series of criticisms by OBJ of his wanton misrule and they are baying for blood. Why mention Dasuki. Was he a past president or elected official. Everyone except children know why Dasuki remains behind bars and court orders on his bail are not respected, vendetta and the amount of information that guy has on Mr. President himself. Buhari cannot move on them simply because they have him by the balls. Let him try it if he can. |
kinzation:How can you bet on a team or match involving a team just after an emotionally laden previous encounter. That is just a crazy application of emotions that cannot prevail in any field of endeavour. |
