Wretched looking things, wasting their youth only to regret at age and become a liability to society. See what young people engage themselves in other societies as drivers of innovation, creativity and the new socio-economic order. These are just useless products of failed parenting. |
being:See what I mean. That petrol should be cheaper because we have crude oil. See the mentality of the average Nigerian that keeps us perpetually in slavery. But ask yourself if you were Nigeria, will you 'make' petrol cheaper simply because you have it. Or does a farmer eat cheaper yams because he cultivates it. Or ask yourself what happens to banks that give out cheaper loans to their staff because their vaults are full or the defunct Nigerian Airways giving out cheaper (free) tickets to its staff travelling all over the world for holidays. Ask them what happened. Yes, the Japanese buy Hondas cheaper than the Americans abi. Go to Japan and buy. But everyone comes from Chad and Niger and Cameroun to buy our petrol and smuggle same at our expense because we are just that....CHEAP FOOLS. They make a living off our stupidity. We pay with our blood for their livelihood and pleasure. Nonsense people who will allow herdsmen from all over West and North Africa to come in and 'graze cattle' free and murder those who resist. Tell them to buy land for their business and they say no because the land is free. Pally, those who donot want to sacrifice for value will remain slaves in perpetuity. America has more oil than Nigeria. Who will make it free for them. Is it Exxon or Shell. Who will pay?...is it Donald Trump. You must be joking. Americans pay their bills. Nothing comes free for them so they are free from everyone. Stop this useless mental slavery. Insist on right prices for right services for right living. Then and only then can you hold authorities accountable. Right now you have no say absolutely. |
Reptyle:What do you need to engage the public for. Is this not an admission that the 'public' is grossly ignorant of basic economics...and if they are, what do you expect. I am just sick and tired of Nigerians blaming those in authority for the things they should know and do for themselves and worse is their insistence on knowing nothing about what concerns them. Today the average ignorant Nigerian repeats this sick statement...that Nigeria is a rich country. And the mentality that it has all the resources to cater for anything and everything maternity shops churn out in perpetuity. How do you expect a people like this to experience anything different from what is going on now iresspective of government. |
eTECTIVe:Pally, when you've lied effectively for so long, the road back is long and hard. Just pray they have a 'prodigal son' encounter sooner than later. That is why we continue to say this: The quality of life a man, family, community or country experiences is proportional to the depth of their knowledge.... and inversely proportional to the levels of ignorance. You cannot experience what you donot know. Nigerians in quantum must raise the levels of literacy to counter bare faced propaganda. They must raise their levels of economic, social and political knowledge. They must understand how economies are made to prosper, how governments are run and how democracies benefit societies beyond mere thumb printing in elections. That is why powers that have little to offer often raise the levels of propaganda. More talk, less work, lies, falsehood peddling and fake news. They campaign more in locales where literacy is lowest, where argumentative points are sparse, where objectivity is alien. Look at Nairaland, you see their agents here. No points to support their principals, just insults, rabble rousing and fights. Look at them at the grassroots, what do you see. They engage the lowest, the least in society making even the underaged, kids who should be in school, developing themselves for a better society, stand in queues to vote for them. How do you expect to experience a better society when the leadership of it is determined by those who are no better than you, those who have not a clue as to how things can be made to work. Do those kids know what is called subsidy.....but they will set the agenda of this country for the next four years.... |
Cromcruach91:Okay. Na now day dey break for Nigerians. Unfortunately for this government the question of subsidy was one of the waves they used to ride into power and now the water must return to the ocean, it will definitely drag them out to sea. Now they wished they never opposed subsidy removal during the Jonathan government. Now they wished the Otuoke man carried the can instead. |
joudini:Hahahahaha....kai Nigeria. |
nwabobo:Poverty is a mental state. There is nothing a government can do about it. No legislation can develop ideas, wake a lazy man from slumber or detach an ignorant man from retrogressive habits. Nigeria is the way it is because of Nigerians just as America is tje way it is because of Americans. Arabia has more oil than water yet is remains undeveloped and poor. |
Can we just leave the sexism alone for once. What is the meaning of 'beautiful Halima'. Will she have gained recognition if she was ugly. I have not heard 'meet Obasanjo the handsome ex-president' or 'meet Dino Melaye, the muscular senator'. Why women are often qualified by looks, cosmetics and garments irks me, while the more important aspects of competence, capabilities and achievements will never make headlines. |
By 2019 everyone will be demystified. |
Disgusting, quite frankly. Because they've heard about the bulls on Wall Street so they bring bullsheet to Aunty Kem. |
farouk0403:So the PDP said about Jonathan and the Boko menace. That it was a political tool. Nigerians did not believe and voted him out. Tell me what is different now. The same security failings, same corruption, same nepotism, same alleged 'cluelessness'. Difference is the people it is acceptable to. Much as I cannot see a politically viable alternative to PMB at such short notice, any attempt to whitewash the glaring failings stinks. |

kernel504:Hmmmm.....very, very disappointing comimg from those who swore to uphold the sanctity of this country. |
Thinking behind deceased people getting jobs.... |
matrixme:Bunkum. Go and sit down. The cattle population of the United Kingdom is about 9.68 million compared to Nigeria's 13.9 million and they have a landmass of approximately 242,500 square kilometres compared to Nigeria's 925,000 square kilometres meaning they have a higher cattle density of 40 cows per square kilometre compared to our 15 cows per square kilometres so cattle should be more visible everyday in the UK than in Nigeria. And on the streets of a mega city like Lagos it ìs just preposterous. The population of London is 8.8 million compared to the population of Lagos at 17.5 million. Which means there is approximately 1.1 head of cattle for every Londoner compared to 0.8 head of cattle for every Lagosian which means they have more beef at their disposal yet we don't see cattle on the underground or herdsmen taking the number 11 bus and you come hear to talk about grass when Lagos has less than 5 percent arable land surface and just about 32 percent greens (non pavement). You must be a joker of epic proportions. Cattle on Lagos highways.... |
Benekruku:Yes, these men are dogs and fowls to you these heartless people, instead of admitting your principal has failed in the one thing he promised - security. Even if you have scant regards for human life at least know that your tax naira used in training and equipping these men has gone to waste. And of course you will pay to compensate their families. Keep on covering this disaster you hear. Nonsense, brutish society where lives mean nothing. |
desreek9:No one will fall anywhere for this skankiness. |
I am surely getting land there. Who has the details. |
If the government or its supporters want to prove that these incidents are not what they claim to be, then the onus is on them and the government to prove otherwise. They are lucky this is not the west where the media will have torn the government to shreds. After the twin towers fell in Manhattan every single terror incident subsequently was atttributed to Al-Qaida and by extension Osama Bin Laden and until he was terminated America and her people did not rest. If the government feels every crime is now tagged 'herdmenace', then it should catch and punish perpetrators publically and put an end to it. It is insensitive, callous, repugnant and stupid to blame an already traumatised citizenry. As long as the wolves roam freely someone will shout wolf. |
Benekruku:You see all these and still play politics. You have certainly lost your humanity. I have said countless times. If you are under political pressure and your team is messing up. The very least you can do is to take cover, keep quiet and let the storm blow over. But here you are demonstrating your barbarity for pecuniary political peanuts. Even if it is the 'opposition' trying to blackmail the government in power isn't it their responsibility to ensure these tragic events donot occur. Didn't Mr. President list security as one of his cardinal objectives to which he has now roundly failed. |
Thank God the world does not run by our standards. Just look at the replies. Nigerians cannot gove to church in tithing, They cannot give to their communities in decent behaviour. And they donot understand what organ DONATION means. To us it must all have a personal benefit or our church can collapse, our society can be reduced to a game reserve and sick people can die for all they like. And we expect to lve in a better society that this. Talk of expecting lemonade from hibiscus leaves. |
voicelez:Which Abuja is that. Certainly not the one in Nigeria. GLO is just hopeless. |
This is where everyone should press for what they want from the centre. What the centre seeks by these emissaries is to extract commitments and precious votes for nothing. Votes are very precious. They are the only authority of the common man. Should only be traded for concrete benefits. If the Oyo people agree and cannot benefit then the system is not working. There is no point having a rolls royce in your garage if you cannot drive. Nigerians should know that Mr. President is the MOST VULNERABLE, POWERLESS BETWEEN NOW AND THE POLLS. This is the time to ask, to act. There is no point in complaining after you vote. |
Can't see his relationship with those who will wear the kits. Can't be right. |
Quality20:Death row is worse except you are a deep seated Christian. |
Good development. Railways are the way to go. |
Government should see to their wellness then they return to the docks. Ill health does not nullify the law. They should be prosecuted and jailed. This thing is taking too long. The Judiciary should wake up. These criminals are becoming cult figures and celebrities. The Judiciary owes it to this nation to clean its stable. Judges and lawyers buy from the same market as the average Nigeria amd our poverty is theirs as well. They should play their part with decorum but with business efficiency. |
AerialMapper:A bit right. But the fact is that aircraft doors..and windows are technically made bigger than the surrounding opening so that they cannot easily fail at altitude when the pressure within the frame is considetably more than outside. By this it is also impossible for the door to be opened at altitude even in an emergency and the pilot will have to drop to an altitude dense enough to do this. It is also the reasons military troop transport aircraft are not always pressurized and where they are they have to descend to a safe height to enable paratroopers disembark. |
pyyxxaro:The design of most aircraft passenger doors are such that they cannot be opened in flight...,that is at pressurized altitude because they open inwards and naturally press against the bulkhead in normal operation. Lets just say decades of aircraft development saved them from calamity. And good thing it fell off on touch down and not at takeoff. |
IjeleNwa:In 2015 Bishop Oyedepo was....nnot so complimentary towards the ascension of this government and he was 'crucified' by thd very Nigerians asking them to speak out now...hmmm. We either have the church involved in politics or not. You cannot have both. |
It is the folks that watch it that pay the 25million and they have every right to delude themselves with b rated porn. Can you find a dynamic person who has time to indulge in voyeurism. It is a free world. |
biacan:Because in life your spouse is the only one you relate with. You don't have a driver and can leave your phone in the car while at the ATM, you can't have a secretary and leave your phone on the desk while you visit the john. Phones are multifunctional devices these days that to narrow secrecy scenarios to husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend is just naive. When your close staff begins to funnel confidential, insider information about your operations to rivals and clients for favour and fees then you lock up everything, I mean absolutely everything. Nigeria has changed. |
