YoshiMaster:The road is a commodity so you have options on whether to buy or not. So exactly what is the rant about pally, find an alternative product. Na by force to live there. By the laws of demand and supply as the Lekki 'show' grows so will the 'gate fee'. The horse bolted when the privatisation was accepted and hailed so get your children well schooled and prospered cos by their time they will probably be paying 5,000 for a scooter. |
mejai:hmmm...and I hope that is not euro manuals or else....muscle cramps overnight loading. Better get your partner to massage your hamstrings.... |
Holyfield1:National protest for a private road and personal business....and you folks will condemn the federal government for having special interests in the breeding of cattle and 'herdsmanism' while ignoring the fishery sector viz the polluted waterways and creeks of the delta. Tell me why we should give a damn. Welcome to a new restructured Nigeria. Afterall Lagos has become semi autonomous. If Uche is caught sipping larger at Kofa Wamba and the sharia squad whips his butt, we go say....who send am. Pal, whatever happens in Lagos....stays in Lagos. |
A new low. |
baralatie:Why answer him. Just look at his reply. But I'm not at all surprised. These are the types of people this government hopes will get them back into power. Intellectually empty but full of raw emotions and packed full of insults. Don't bother to reply such. |
Reference:What makes America great is its people not necessarily its government. Right now they have a lunatic in charge but they are doing just okay. |
60 million at 28 years of age appears a panic buy and is symptomatic of Wengers lack of planning and foresight when year after year he is more active in the January window than the summer one. Once again his gambles on squad players and contracts has proven to be inadequate again... so say the results and league position of his club. |
Nice. Blame your parents for having better loins than brains. Ask yourself. How many are you in your family, what is the income of your parents and how much they pay as taxes. Then ask them why they needed to have that many of you. Then ask them why they still insist government as run is the best way of life. Ask them why they don't demand universal liberty for all citizens to determine their future and why they insist on sticking with the status quo. Finally ask yourself why you wonder at getting lemonade from lemons instead of apple juice or cider. |
lastempero:That is the restructuring we constantly advocate. In it everyone decides what he wants. Today even with privatisation the central government still controls everything through its appointed regulator so the people ultmately cannot decide on how they want a service and a product called electricity. If we were properly structured the people at any level will decide how they want power. They can choose to pool their own generators (generating capacity), they can chose to have an investor do it for them or they can choose to have their local government do it for them via taxes, levies or bonds. They can decide for black energy or green energy. They can choose to have it run as a social service or purely as a business concern. But what do we have. Bright and enterprising Nigerians forced into the same destiny with dumb and recalcitrant ones and not being able to do anything about it because of the rules of th game. Change the rules and see places such as Lagos and Aba take flight. |
usba:It is you and your rudderless government I pity. With a population of 180million and a minimum power consumption of 1200kwh per head as spec by the IEA Nigeria should have a minimum installed capacity of 25,000 megawatts. Worse still by the UN's estimate on population growth 5 million people will be added to this country in 2018. This means an additional requirement of 700 megawatts for 2018 alone or two decent power plants built and commisioned this year alone or 2100 megawatts since this government was elected in 2015, a minimum just to enjoy our poverty. So for every hour they spend blaming everyone except themselves they should be installing a 100kva generator for Nigerians. Remain there ranting you hear. Be looking for arsonists while your house burns to the ground. Useless people. |
usba:They have told you severally why investment is not coming in. Instead of addressing the issues ignorant folks like you continue to call names and deflect attention. The government is failing to create the necessary business friendly environment needed to privately build and operate critical infrastructure. It has squandered all the goodwill and political capital it inherited at election in 2015 that will have seen the right pricing of electricity and petroleum products by continuous denials, buck passing, deceit and politricking. Now that the reality has come and its goodwill is all squandered it cannot call for a rise in tarrifs to make electricity a proper business and cannot ask for a rise in fuel prices to make investment in refineries attractive to foreign capital. So continue to talk rubbish you hear. Your pet government has drawn enough rope to hang itself and like I said in 2015, the best we will get is mere superficial improvements here and there. Nothing will fundamentally change in this rudderless country. |
When the majority of Nigerians cannot even charge their phones...? |
NgeneUkwenu:There is just no one out there. We are talking about a potential 8 year candidate. It takes a lifetime of preparation abroad to contest for such an office. In Nigeria it always falls on the unwilling and unable. If Buhari after 3 trials spanning 12 odd years cannot cut it at that level how much more an individual ill prepared. Our best bet is to have Buhari complete his tenure while opposition parties and candidates prepare properly. |
Annie939:CN...Cartoon Network abi. |
phemmyfour:Isn't everything plastic these days. |
Once again the ignorance of our folks led by the very definition of 'the owner of Nigeria' has spoken and has started acting in ignorance once again. One thing for sure, the salvation of this country remains an illusion. By these thoughts and acts it is certain we have no future. To liberate a man's body or situation without first liberating his mind is futile because it is his mind that creates his being, that develops his surroundings and leads him from encounter to encounter in a habitual fashion that determines his life's experiences. If we cannot surmount the mental prison that thinks all our problems are created by Jonathan and sustained by Buhari....two Nigerians out of 180 million.... and that to solve them we need yet another change of alphabets from PDP to APC and now to XYZ, then we are not mentally capable of having a better country than this. If we as a people cannot think through our challenges, identify our pitfalls and develop solutions then our experiences as a nation simply cannot be bettered. I have said it countless times. A Jonathan or Buhari can conveniently lead the United States, Germany or Japan. Barack Obama or Angela Merkel on the other hand CANNOT fundamentally change Nigeria even with all the goodwill and prayers of the people....if they cannot identify AMONGST THEMSELVES what the requirements for change truly are. Thus the problem is not with the players or the clubs, it is with the game and its rules. Change leadership all you want, change political parties every four years, if this country is not restructured the only folks to gain are media houses and jingles and printers and poster makers and ad companies. The very mental block that cannot make us look at this country holistically, honestly and free of bias and profer solutions out of an abundance of patriotism and a heart of true sacrifice is the key to our future, successful or not. Nuff said. May the likes of Obasanjo continue to lead his cattle by the nose ring to the slaughter time and again till his dying day. That is our portion. It is now I am beginning to understand how the trans-atlantic and trans-saharan slave trade happened. Slavery is not the victory of the strong over the weak. It is the victory of the cunny over the determined and damned to be foolish. |
GavelSlam:And you and your comments can pass muster....okay it can because the recurring vitriol is directed away from government.... a temporary entity called a government. Who builds his principles, his life on that with a timescale. They can censor all they like. The removal of which will just be another campaign promise of their electoral opponents. Shooting themselves in the foot. |
GavelSlam:And you and your comments can pass muster....okay it can because the recurring vitriol is directed away from government.... a temporary entity called a government. Who builds his principles, his life on that with a timescale. |
Nuheights:Told you, by 2019 they will be demystified. If you could rewind a mental tape back three years quickly, you won't believe what a psychological rollercoaster you have been on through these folks...dizzying heights and now....gut wrenching lows... |
I still won't react to all these. What is there to say.... The system is unworkable and will mess up anybody. It was just a matter of time. Restructure for good governance. No other way. |
kingandamy4life:It is not military doctrine or ethos to be a lone ranger. The military as an institution is founded on strong bonding amongst the rank and file. Strong ties of brotherhood and solidarity. Yes, there is a chain of unrepliable command and authority but consultation and feedback is at the core of decision making. The very best generals make it a point of duty to interact with the rank and file and build trust from bottom to top. Without that no battles can be won and needless lives lost. Mr President is not exhibiting his military training nor doctrine. |
dionysus7:Oga can't you read. That he does not reach out to folks and treats even his party hierachy like toxic waste. He wanted to be authoritarian. Has this narcissistic view of himself and is not a team player even in the home front with a wife who appears aloof. Such a person in any sphere of life is bound to suffer and ultimately fail. He's doing most of the sabotaging himself. The bible implies: Woe to a man who is alone. It appears at some point in his military career he lost the important tenets of brotherhood and solidarity. |
Government and by extension its agents have no business in business. The Nigerian Military is funded by the public so they should not compete with the public for business space. That is economic round tripping and will distort the various markets. They should focus and invest in their core mandate which they seriously lack and lag behind most indices of best practice. |
Thatnawtichick:Why....is your head shaped like a geographical expression.... just thinking... |
Politically correct errorism. Of course two out of four cars will be American at an american auto show. Lets see what he will say at the Tokyo show. By his logic there are half a dozen other models that are better described as iconic. |
mfm04622:So how come Ipob was proscribed and tagged a terrorist organisation. By your template, which criteria did some or all its members meet. If you cannot see this as pure and unadulterated low level state sponsored racism, what else. During Jonathan's time he did not hesitate to crack down on MEND who persisted in attacks despite the general ND amnesty. These were 'his people' some of whom are still in jail ever since. What example has this administration and its leaders from that region made of the recalcitrant herdsmen. Talk straight and clear. The long and short of this is that: if the President cannot send a strong message by making an example of some of these killer herdsmen then he cannot claim to be neutral. That is not leadership. No one who desires to establish a legacy will spare his child from the rod. No one who lays claim to lead such a diverse nation as ours to glory will baulk at reprimanding his own, afterall every keader has to come from somewhere, but that is where it ends. Mr President show leadership. |
When I said restructuring was the biggest challenge we faced as a nation, many said it was corruption. How far...because with this series of distractions who watches over the purse. |
....in Sean Connery's Scottish intonation in the movie, 'the Rock':"....your best... losers always whine about their best, while winners go f.u..k the prom queen...'..Buhari glaring back at him retorts: '....Aisha was the prom queen...'. Connery, surprised: '....really?' |
Greedy things. You were there for 8 years, you are out so get out. Like George Bush ranting about not being able to control Donald Trump. |
Even electronic copies of the wailing forms are finished....oversubscribed. ....no longer logging. |
One business I just cannot do....except I manufacture all the equipment myself and operate them all by myself. Not a business for the thoughtless or one prone to lapses of concentration. |
Just want the K2, dats all. |
