ogbeniolola:Well at least on that he tried arm wrestling with the guv but was shot at and threatened with a recall. Why will he not give up. Yhe peoole are in cahoots with the man called suffering so Dino has ridden into the sunset. The people created the system Dino and his likes operate in. I have said is countless times. Restructure. This partly means Dino will be paid by his constituents to represent them at the centre. If they can sponsor him to a ball so be it. |
Ishilove:Ha, all these to describe a simple court case. But come oh. Why is it that every AG ends up in the sewer. Defending government through the years has been the last bus stop of reputations and careers. I'm sure Malami has already applied for asylum in a non extradition country....btw is Aondokaa back...or what is that his name. |
OGAMINISTER:Oga. The job of the DSS is to protect the state. This might seem extraordinary but its allegiance is to the government, not necessarily the people. |
Oops....the APC led government has just lost Benue. |
.....hmmm...Hateful Eight.... starring Don Wanny. Abeg where is Tarantino and his gang. |
So how you wan make chemist dey sell... |
Of course, I did. |
Treasury Bills mean you get richer while Nigeria gets poorer. Fixed deposits mean banks get richer while you get poorer. |
Ashley86400:Conte has one eye on the CL coming soon and it is interfering with his radar. |
oshe11:Wise punters don't do FA Cup early rounds. Teams don't play to their strengths. Start at semis with teams that have no other trophy to play for. Never bet on teams who have nothing to play for. |
Mr. President you promised to deal with insecurity. What is going on is unacceptable. The very fabric of society is giving way. Remember there are several members of government, of various institutions including the security services who are sworn to defend and uphold this country. When their vows are severely tested because of great loss and devastation back home the entire system called Nigeria becomes perilously unstable. Mr. President, genocides and civil wars have started on far milder rumpus. Your inability to act decisively hitherto will be known for nothing else than its grave cost. |
davidif:This is what I suggested all those years ago. Remove subsidy at set percentage points every year over a typical double term of a government i.e 8 years. With such intent investors will more likely invest in refineries knowing that when such long term , capital projects mature the markets will have been completely deregulated. This is a win win scenario. But this pussy-footing about what subsidy is, how much subsidy is being paid, etc scares off investment. If not for cowboys like Dangote who ride the rough business terrain, with these uncertainties we will never develop our downstream sector. It is important for us to set aside politics and all the sentiments attached and face this fuel issue as a national calling. Both government and people must reach a consensus on the way forward in an open, transparent and sacrificial manner. The downstream sector needs investment that is beyond the capability of government. We badly need outside help but we are not going to get it if we constantly bicker about the underlying issues. |
I thought APC east were bidding for the presidency in 2023....hmmm.. |
Nwodosis: Can't wait. |
drmuri:But during the subsidy scandal of the past regime, marketers or importers were not blamed alone. The government took the brunt as being corrupt and inept. How come this template has changed when things go awry today. The big question mockers of the last regime asked. Where is the President. The buck stops at his desk. Can anyone be bigger than government. Then after election we oft heard a new sheriff in town, etc. What has happened. Are marketers now bigger than government....why can't the same cane used in beating the first wife be used again to get value out of this government. Abeg go siddon. If this was GEJ driving through the streets of Portharcourt with people on the queue hailing him, be truthful will you have this excuse locked and loaded. This is the problem of Nigeria, not corruption or maladministration, the people and their sentimentalism and parochialism. A deceitful people can never build a quality nation. |
You can see that structure not corruption or any negativity is our foremost problem. Can this be normal in a normal society. |
I hope none of the thugs is on this forum |
I'm an early bird. Just make sure the shower works by 4.30. Hotels in Portharcourt are notorious for sloppy service. 'Hello is that the reception...No this is the laundry...what da f... The water has cut out and I have soap in my eyes.... sorry sir I will call the bar... Are you nuts, do I sound like I need a drink....no sir it is near the gate and security will find maintainance.... Damn f. ouch, chei my eyes oh...f.*** |

The man is too old for all these wahala.... |
When I say corruption is not the biggest challenge facing Nigeria, we can see what restructuring means. |
A dozen times and flammable.... then why can't man fly. All the pieces are there. |
byna:Are you nuts. Who doesn't snore. Abeg get a life. |
gypsey:It is to encourage people to be industrious. It is to build small businesses and cottage industries. It is to provide an alternative shop window to imports. And most important to me, it provides an alternative to the narrow career path our youth take today to college and then the unemployment market. That there is a hope and future in vocationals. The least we can do is to encourage such programs, participants and providers. This is what big men, big business and big institutions should be doing. Well done guv. |
revolt:Mechanised production. They already know the basics and have been making handcrafted shoes for decades. |
temptnow:Hope you have heard about the uncovered teracotta army. What makes you think Rochas has not sent a team to China. |
kokomilala:No, no no....sports is not like that. I get am before will not rapture a sinner nor will it get you groceries at a supermart. You are only as good as your present status if not the Premiership will have ended when Arsenal went unbeaten. He maybe good in a country (England) where trophies are rare. If he was in Spain or Germany or Italy for that matter coaching a top four team he will have gone long time. Expectation breeds results. And the club and her fans have very modest expectations and lots of excuses to tolerate his repeated failure and why do I call it failure and why do they call him a specialist in failure....because he refuses to adapt his methods. Leicester won the Premiership with a far lower budget and modest wage bill. Other clubs in Holland, Belgium and Portugal do as well if not better in Europe with far smaller bugets and bigger debts. They never allow the sporting side of the business suffer. Wenger and Arsenal have no excuse whatsoever. |
grandstar:Not true. Sir Alex had things under absolute control till he left. In the last couple of years Wenger has been in and out of control of his players. Second his philosophy is lost on most of his players. They practically all experience better standards in their national teams be it Sanchez of Chile, Ozil of Germany, Hector of Spain or even Iwobi of Nigeria are all more successful at national team level than at club level so obviously, alternative coaching has not disturbed their psyche. Third Arsenal has such a pedigree that I cannot see anyone but a top continental coach handling them post Wenger. The choice of Moyes was a big mistake. He came in for a coach bigger than him to a club far bigger than his having won nothing in all his career. Arsenal will not make that mistake. Wenger is not exactly winning trophies wily-nily so even a hiatus of another couple of years while the new gaffer adapts will not be a let down as long as considerable progress is made. In summary, except Arsenal replaces Wenger with Alan Pardew or experiments with a retired Ray Parlour I cannot see how the team will disintegrate. Nothing right now can be as bad as the situation is under Wenger |
When I said corruption was not the formoset problem in Nigeria....here we are.... faced with the same issues that has brought this nation and her peoples to its knees. Very soon what you have in your account won't matter. Everyone will be running. |
Hobson's choice. Herdsmenace or Ebola. Both strike when not expected and fatalities are just as sure. |
For ideas. What are the top 5 perennial challenges in Nigeria today (in no particular order and if Nigeria is your immediate hunting ground) Insecurity. Energy crises. Ethno-religious turbulence. Corruption. Bad governance. Find solutions to right any of this and you will make it big time shortly. Sounds too generic and insurmountable? Break it down, string it out and start from your REST. |
Never, ever, ever place money as the reference point for any endeavour or enterprise. Throw that money away. It will ruin you. The starting point is the great queston you need to ask yourself: WHAT VALUE CAN I CREATE. Find out what you can do well and better than what is out there. Find out what that person needs that he is not getting. Find out what you constantly complain about and what drills holes in your pocket. List them all out and rearrange them in a string in order of your REST level right now: Risk, Effort, Skill and Temperament and start with the most likely to succeed. That impetus will move you to the next item on the list until you become unbelievably successful. Once again. That 300,000 is your bogey. Money is a poor, poor messenger. It will not go to where you send. It will lose its way. What all successful people have in common is a name. That is your destination. Be known for something, constantly create value and wealth will naturally flow to you. Never ever project money. |
