pepper them.... until they can be handcuffed to development without a struggle. |
The biggest loser in all this is Tinubu. His empire is shorn in half and like the Emperors who once ruled Rome, watches painfully as once loyal lieutenants now jostle to unseat him. Surely Abuja now shops for a replacement for the crown of the west... and there will be plenty young turks to fill the shoes. Whether they can do so or not remains to be seen. The ACN was always a regional party. They have tested the waters abroad, reached out across the branch perhaps too far and now the crackling sounds of danger are becoming all too frequent. To avoid a catastrophe it is better they retrace their steps back to the Bourdillon to avoid a fatal fall. The experiment to Abuja has clearly failed.....like Napoleons attempt to the east of Europe, like General Paulus attempt at the Soviets....Tinubu perhaps in his heart of hearts perhaps wished he never climbed that tree. Call 911 for the emergency services to bring him down before something bad happens.... |
Not too sure whether it will be a success. The SUV market is oversaturated at the top except if a few fall off the wagon. They should stick to what they do best. |
TrumpDonald2:Are these programs you described church outreach ones or do they have a seperate administrative taskings outside the church. |
zoedew:That is why they should be empowered by liberty to deal with their own. Is it a hidden fact that in most states you have a dichotomy between local and 'Abuja' politics and politicians battling to control their localities in all parties since 1999. Is it a secret that most state governors and legislators spend a better part of their resources (time and treasure) 'abroad' for fear of their constituents. Is it a secret that the centre whether government or political leadership is apt and fond of meddling in Internal, local politics, pre-selecting candidates and other anti-democratic tendencies in favour of whoever is the defacto Head of State and I can go on and on. Ibori was not made in Delta. He was made, supported and empowered in Abuja for one purpose long ago. To corner the resources of his people. Only when he grew too big for his boots die he cut away and sought relevance locally to fortify himself. Empower the people with the power of freedom, stop meddling in local politics and watch people select the right leadership to move themselves forward. I can understand the north with its age old traditions of feudalism will resist this but southerners are more educated and pragmatic. They want to be the captains of their destinies and this cannot be denied them. Stop scare mongering and flying false flags. Restructuring will solve ALL Nigeria's perennials problems, period. |
When Nigerians put money above every other index of development this is the result. They believe in success without organic growth. What do you have by way of education, intelligence and organisation that makes you competent to handle such a financial challenge successfully navigating the intricacies of the tough business environment we have. Trying to execute a job of that magnitude without legal representation is the first step to suicide but may have enabled him keep his property and his creditors at bay or recovered his held compensations. The offending company must have known he stood legally na.ked so are playing the kind of hard ball they can only do with nonentities....sadly.... NB: taking the story at face value having not heard from the other side bit certainly if the suicidal man is at default it makes the fact of his ignorance all the more tragic. Nigerians should endeavour to develop themselves. Life is not all about money. Values are definitively more important. |
Tinyemeka:Bad. Too bad. If automobiles fail tens could die...if aeroplanes fail hundreds could die.... if civil engineering works fail thousands will be at risk and I sure hope they were not involved in anything nuclear or biochemical.... that will be armageddon loading... Trust the United States. They will slam Kobe so hard the ripples will be felt round Mount Fuji... |
Indeed the best days of Nigeria are in the past. I just appreciate the way Yinka Odumakin puts his case forward. Very consistent and objective. To the government and its spokesman we can equally say that your doubts and opposition to restructuring are equally suspicious. Could it be that because you are in power you find the inordinate benefits and trappings too enticing to want to let go or as most of us suspect... you don't want to go down in history as the one who gave up Nigeria to Nigerians instead of keeping her at the pleasure of a particular section of the country.... so that your legacy will not be trampled upon when you eventually return home.... But Nigeria is changing. The sufferings are beginning to unify her peoples despite your efforts at dividing her and you will be surprised at the end of it all when you will be asked at home why you didn't pull the plug much earlier.... Nigeria has indeed changed most certainly... most radically. |
demystifieduthor=xynerise post=61389350]Osinbajo has finally reduced his integrity level. Genuine pastors have no business with Nigerian Politics[/quote]By 2019 there will be none yet demystified. As long as we remain in this structure Nigeria will continue to produce a conveyors belt of thieves In government. Look at how they fall over one by one like dominos. |
leo2020:And who or what makes it fragile. Instead of addressing the main issue leading to the recurrent problems you blame those who react to it. Other nations see the value in togetherness, equity and solidarity as imperative to their collective prosperity and security. How does our present leadership see Nigeria(ns). So sorry for you folks. Just barking up the wrong tree. |
Good job customs. |
With its studded history the kind of ghosts patrolling its corridors will surely be destiny definers. No, thanks. |
Ha, oga judge. This is absolutely not correct except if it was aggravated with loss of life or limb, rape or abduction. What will you do to those stealing billions and causing genocide in the process. |
The paparazzi should gather outside Saraki's back door in the coming days.... and they should not dismiss any passerby especially ugly looking women with strong face, flat chest and excessive make up. I think some undercover work is about taking place. |
Hot potato no one wants to touch. Okay, I approved the loans, contract,.etc.... semantics. Are loans not being converted, diverted, stolen, inflated, abused daily in government circles. Once a process is flawed the outcome is certain. Corruption is there. |
buffalowings:a tent maker. |
hmmm... everyone is falling head over heels into this muddy pit of corruption including respectable veep.... and man of God.... and man of the law... indeed by 2019 everyone will be demystified without exception. Nigerians will come to realise nations are built by strong citizens not strong emperors... at least democracies.. |
Political harakiri. Lets see where the NLC votes go.....wonder what Adams Oshio will say bout this. |
nawtyme:Absolutely. That is what we have been saying for years. Corruption is so endemic, systemic and intrinsic that no repairs can be done to the Nigerian state. It is either reconstruction or total demolition. Those who have called for surgeon Buhari to save a septic patient while lying in the same infecting cesspit have no idea that they should be calling for a vicar and an undertaker instead. Just wasting their time. By 2019 everyone will be demystified. It is pastors turn to have his feet roasted. Tomorrow they will tell us how much his commission was. |
PointB:Referee nominating who gets to score a goal is called corruption in our country. In yours it is called 'due process'. That is why Nigeria will go to the world cup with no referees representing. |
Greedy kleptomaniac. We don't want forfeiture alone. When will prosecution start. |
Saintp:Exactly. Very soon Jonathan will come out and explain he didn't know what the heck was going on in his adminstration. So will OBJ and IBB and even Abacha will send a memo from the grave that it was probably Jerry boy Useni as Head Cabalista that hijacked his rule of infamy. And every Perm Sec, Managing Director, Headmaster, Community leader and Choir Master will blame singing cabals for miscords and wrong tunes. Wife: My husband why all this suffering in the house, why no money always. What is this story of you spending money on the streets. Husband: My dear. Infact I'm not aware of what is happening to my finances. There must be a cabal at Iya Basira's morning grub and Mama Ngozi's sunset joint causing the leakages. Don't worry I will investigate and report back to you..... mbok no be you dey go dia yasef. |
EruditorII:Hasn't seen the person in charge of the papers you signed in London since you returned and didn't act till it became public knowledge. Okay fine, he hasn't an idea of 'how' to govern. Now that he has known his close confidants have been acting rogue in the villa what has he done about the cabal since the news broke.... nothing. Remember the issue of cabals in the rock has been an underlying theme of this administration since inception. So what is it. He knows or doesn't know. He hears or doesn't hear. He acts or doesn't act. Cabals were not elected, Mr. President was and this constant attempt at delaminating him from all that is wrong with his administration will not just wash when elections come. He either takes charge or takes his leave. Every underperforming and corrupt government past and indeed future will look at this scenario as a 'get-out-of-responsiblity/liability' strategy. Pin the blame on the President's apointees and remain dry like a duck in water. |
Johnayoola:And the thread that runs through all of them is inordinate interests because these are all deliberate acts. The three of them know exactly what they are doing. There are no pretenses. Kachikwu's people must have lost out on perks, positions and privileges. The contracts and jobs have gone to the President's men. |
EruditorII:Oga. People don't just walk into the NNPC and pick up oil contracts. Every single bid will have an ultra high level government backing and will be pre approved by the President himself usually on a political chessboard. He will nominate to exchange contracts for favours and these will be communicated by cash or kind at a time and a place of his choosing. No money exchanges hand but a lot of compromises not in the nations interests are made. It remains corruption. |
SalamRushdie:The fellow you replied knows what he is doing. And if you don't quit criticising this government you will be termed a hater or a terrorist. Sad times. |
EmeeNaka:Not true. Your toolbox may be full of assorted devices but only specific ones will be able to handle specific jobs. When countries face specific challenges it all boils down to a very few select candidates who can deliver. To say anyone can fit the job is just naive. Can you run your personal affairs that way. On Monday it must be a hausa doctor appointment, Tuesday shopping must be done at a yoruba plaza, and Saturday my football team must be led or owned by an igbo man.... afterall there are talents found in every region. Is that not madness. |
Kachikwu has forgotten the advise of former PDP stalwart and late Alex Akinyele....'... it is bad manners to talk while you're eating....' As someone said he's ended up with egg on his face and a bit down his windpipe. Next time just keep kwayet and enjoy....' at the king's table. |
The heading will first send a shiver down every Nigerian spine. |
Wow, so sad. RIP sir. Much respect to a true blue blood. A soldiers soldier and unwavering patriot. |
eleojo23:Exactly. They are well known despite their never ending cyber identities. Then they came here to talk nonsense. |
Tinnytony24:Are Nigerians any better. Do Nigerians not rejoice anytime the Haram sect slaughters folks caught in their crosshairs. Were they not jubilant about the killings by the army of protesting secessionists in the east. Abeg we have more than enough racism in Nigeria to contend with. |

... Tho nt all are racists... If i see one i knw... They dont welcome us bt we welcome them... Atleast i can boast that we Africans are better than them
