Kenzico:If it will win a world cup then Gerhart Rohr had better wear banana leaves for our campaign in Russia..... for unimpeded access of course.... |
Typical talk that never gets people to succeed. Just like simpleton business proposals that tell you a chicken lays two eggs per day so in a year you should have 600 eggs in your kitty. Just like a lot of Pentecostal churches as well these days that preach only benefits not responsibilities, only what God can do not what man SHOULD DO. Back to topic. Yes, its good to know what you NEED to succeed but more importantly (the part they don't like to say) is who you need to be to succeed. This is character and is formed in the crucible of challenges that form part of life and living, its complexities, its intricacies and its uncertainties all rolled into a character building course you need to pass to reach your goals. I would rather value the chap who will tell me snakes eat eggs too and bird flu is real and poultry houses these days need more security than Aso rock, more luxury than Transcorp Hilton and more hygiene than an operating theatre. Yes, Jesus is Lord of all but He died on THE CROSS and if Satan could do that imagine what battles lie ahead of anyone towing that path and.... of course your 'motivator' may as well be the chap that will steal from you, intercept your dream and betray you to your competitors, having so much information about you. The power to overcome all these sob stories is what makes a man successful. It is not what is achieved, it is what is overcome. It is not offense alone that wins matches or contests but the ability to successfully defend and walk away. It is the last man standing that often wins. |
This man's mouth just runs like a bad Mexican soap...on and on and on... |
They are irredeemably lazy...in thought and indeed. |
....aka demolition team alpha, heading to Owerri, Yaba...or a city near you where the emperors live. |
Women are slaves to sexuality.... and the maddening rush to nudity.... victims of their primitive thoughts... |
IamaNigerianGuy:I am sure if you read this again you will edit or delete it. MUGABE IS THE, THE FOREMOST CIVILIAN INSTITUTION AND HE SAYS HE IS NOT GOING. Then external powers..... you want me to laugh.... which one.... the US or Britain or France or China or...... Nigeria...mbok which one is a Mugabe fan.... |
EponOjuku:But what do you want exactly. They want to go, no. They don't want to vote yet you bicker. I don't understand what irks you guys about the liberties of others. You do what you like. Why seek to keep others in bondage. What kind of dark mentality is this. They protest, your people gun them down. They stay peacefully at home, you're angry....if thinking like this is not evil, tell me what is....pls leave them alone... |
owomida1:....and subcutaneous monkey pox.... |
Na waoh. Military is 'asking' him to step down..... even a lion totally domesticated for decades will regain its killer instinct when starved for just a season. Soldiers who fought a war of liberation against an empire cannot remove a weak, senile, old man. Mbok, what is a Kalashinokov for again. Pls remind me. |
oludayoJr:A king is the paramount ruler in any kingdom he or she presides over. A traditional king is only relevant to the domains that practice that tradition. In effect it is the peoples that make their rulers. So if the yorubas consider their Ooni a king, the Biafrans have every right to anoint Kanu their king as they wish. It will not bring respect from yorubas but it works the other way as well. |
That is the summary of Nigerians. They oft donot think when they speak. They did not see this coming so the mad rush to crawl under a rock and shoot back now that it is clear it happens in other climes |
This is normal and we see nothing wrong with this since every one in government has the authority to kill civilians with the weight of the military or paramilitary. Scores of civilians died in Anambra. The very state Mr President went to campaign, in the same calendar year and no one asked any questions or demanded for closure. When you insist on a unitary state and the value of lives are debased or devalued at one end, it is bound to drop at the other end too. Just like you cannot have water at different levels in a bucket unless you create watertight bulkheads called restructuring. So the impunity in any part of Nigeria to any citizen of Nigeria will reflect negatively on every Nigerian even if you live in Ikoyi or Maitama or just arrived Nigeria from overseas, you can be gunned down at the airport by orders from above and nothing will happen. How many times will I say that the military has no business on the streets of Nigeria. |
Guvnor Tussauds.... |
gincmedia:Exactly. Sensitive devices require multiple redundancies. Have multiple bank accounts all with a different method of access. You can have just one (or max two debit cards with only one on your person at all times), another access by online banking only, another by cheque only, another OTC only. If you wish another for just cardless withdrawals. Just like comm devices, never do dual sim and never pitch your entire life on one mobile network. All these things could be hacked and your sensituve data compromised. In Nigeria thus us common sense but yet again contributes to the high cost of living and doing business we all talk about. Collective/institutional security lags terribly behind. A cous lost her purse to pick pockets at a supermart and it was a traumatic experience. First she had to shut every physical and cyber backdoor. Then she had to battle only God knows if they were swindlers or abductors who had so much data on her and then had to go through the maze of red tape to replace card after card from banks to PVC. I was amazed that one could be so naive as to carry around on ones person the twenty or so cards and devices that defines ones life. Even with armed escort you will never catch me with more than a couple of phones (two networks), one debit card, drivers license, security access card and five thousand in loose change. That is the limit of what I can afford to loose in one fell swoop to accidents or incidents. |
PrecisionFx:The thing just taya me.... Nigerians are so, so, so dull.... Its a mystery, wrapped in an enigma, carried by a question mark to lala land... |
dowjones:Just like your comment that lacks depth and quality. Yes, the bulk of comments and commentaries just criticise, disparge but offer little in the form of remedies. Once again.....what is the solution if you feel it is a problem and how can Seun manufacture intelligence and then inject it into tne heads of all members eh.... I have no complaints about this forum because it is not pretentious, it can do better with less regulation (but that's okay). It is a realistic snapshot of the realities of life and living in Nigeria. It doesn't sugar coat the challanges and tragedies the average Nigerian experiences in the course of life across all religions, tribes and tongues. There is no preset script. People say it as they feel, warts and all. So if a foreigner resident here or an alien abroad wishing to do a thesis on Nigerians or Nigeria, this forum is an effective compedium. Of course everyone feels it does not suit themselves for one reason or the other but that is exactly how humanity is created. We are not animals. We have a significantly differing make up. Even the souls of twins vary greatly. Just ask the P Square. So it is all good. Seun, well done. Wishing you more productive years ahead. You might be the agent to put this country on the global map.... for the right reasons this time. |
femidejulius:Hero of everything wrong with the black race. And don't even try to shadow what the west is or isn't doing in Africa. He is just evil. |
translux:Then you will leave here and marry 3 wives and sire 16 children... then when we say restructure you will run to the politicians for cover. |
On any good day Nigeria is capable of beating any of the teams in pots 2 to 4 meaning that the second round, the round of 16 is the minimum acceptable performance the Eagles have to deliver. |
eminikansoso:University education is not mandatory for life and living. It is for those who will contribute to society via intellect alone and in very few cases will you have entire members of a family grouping in that position. So it becomes less difficult to raise the funds for just one or two as opposed to the half dozen or so wards Nigerians have on average. A couple of my siblings are pursuing careers and visions completely at variance from what they studied at college and I will take this to be a complete waste of their time and the government's resources for courses that are obviously heavily subsidized. And this is the great failure of the black race. Waste and want on the same plate. |
cyborg123:Educated people talk that way in private and public. The right company breeds good manners and objectivity....the shorter route to success. |
Would have loved to watch ths match though a friendly that has nothing too serious in it. |
muller101:Nigeria has an above than average record in international tourneys at all levels so I am optimistic about our fortunes and with a team that can be described as second only to the 94 squad the least I expect is a runners up spot on the log after the groupies. |
AFONJAPIG:It is Brazil's turn to win it. Anyway Italian soccer has been on a decline for close to a decade symptomatic with the performances of their clubs internationally. Gone are the days when two or three serie a teams got to the latter knockout stages in the UCL or Europa regularly and the fact that the serie a has a dominant team in Juventus for so long speaks of a lack of competitiveness at then very top. Italians and their teams are not investing in football as they used to. That tardiness has to catch up someday. Then you have the facts of the modern game as I had mentioned with the Mourinho misses. This is the era of the strikers. The era of high pressing, blistering counter-attacks and an overload of goals. The traditional Italian game has no place here. The flair teams of AC Milan and Internazionale are dead. Even Conte has abandoned that at Chelsea. |
thotianna:If you don't care about a woman's sexual assault why should you care about a man's or are men not entitled to civil liberties as well. The problem is that we often mistaken an excuse for a justification so both sexes play the victim card. The right thing is that both sexes should stop taking advantage of one another. Men should stop peddling their influence and women should stop peddling their bodies. Anything over and beyond that can then be questioned. |
Bill Clinton will have quietly wished to be a Nigerian Inspector General of Police even for a night.... if he was allowed to bring Monica along as 'aide de chomp'.... |
hmmm... so every skirt wearing cop is fair game. Honestly I will resist every temptation to call this country an animal farm as some are apt to. Applied shame. |
Hmmm, the policeman should unfollow John Wick as a matter of urgency. It is bad for the health. |
GavelSlam:What is wrong with his assertion. People only support what they benefit from. So you mean you donot benefit anything from this government yet support it. Then it must be for one or two of the ten plagues released upon this country.... religion and tribal locusts....can you imagine what you are staying...duh |
AnodaIT:That was Nations Cup. |
