indoorscholar:Ask me. I don't understand the bull the NLC is offloading. Is the government responsible for the development of an individual's competencies in seeking to work. Can it force a horse at the stream to drink. Will the NLC president permit his children to be taught by those dunder heads knowing what he knows of their flagrant lack of knowledge and skills. Does he know the linkages between education and future prosperity in an ever competitive globally integrated world. Does he know Nigeria is falling of a cliff of illiteracy. Can't he see that the lower the educational standards the bigger the budget required for the military and internal security....and on and on... All he cares about is salaries and survival not sacrifices and standards. This vicious cycle will destroy us all sooner than later. |
And so what. Is it a crime for the State to downsize or right size by pruning. Is the civil service a work for life program or what? The state should eject the chaff faster than a combined harvester and let the NLC protest to the governemnt or sponsor bills to make Nigeria a welfare state. They are the biggest drain pipes running down this country with their galactic corruption and hopeless inefficiency. Nigeria needs to be run like a corporate entity for at least 50 years to reverse the decay of decades of inglorious bureaucracy. |
I hope we are not going to deposit all our emotional currency in this Ezenwa investment.... hmmm |
Omooba77:Yes, that is clear and it is good they are warning against collections because it could damage their reputation abroad and in the comity of those kind hearted enough to sponsor the spread of the gospel throughout the world. My grouse is that the abuse by a few pastors of the privilege of receiving offerings has played into the hands of those who want to run the church out of town. No one will call for the ban of cars simply because of accidents but to make them safer. Why not suggestions to make pastors more accountable, no. They just want all offerings stopped so that the church grinds to a halt. Nigeria is bad. It is the churches fault. Yet they know exactly who does what and keep quiet on them but pick on pastors simply because they are soft targets with no moral rights of reply. |
He is an Evangelist not a Pastor. He has no flock so needs no offerings. It is not the same thing as running a church. Evangelists aee like midwives. They take delivery at new birth, but it takes a mother to raise a child and tell me it doesn't require funding. |
Matinho:Last I heard he was looking for bigfoot in the Himalayas with National Geographic. |
If you invest in Kelechi Iheanacho stock you may want to cash out now. Its dropping fast. He badly needs a good game anywhere.... for any team.. |
Yeah, noticed it driving into Portharcourt a few days ago. Thought it was about to rain until I wound down at a military checkpoint and was hit by the noxious, avrud smell of money .... yeah..... illegal refining is back full force. |
HAH:My friend stop supporting mediocrity. If you eat this kind of thing at home you ate classified poor and ignorant. This quality should not be found near the Presidential palace. We are speaking here about the security of the number one citizen of this country. They should eat Aso Rock cafeteria and if this is what they serve there then they better contract staff feeding to the average public secondary school kitchen. |
Fried rice (whatever that means) and eggs is a security risk. Or do they want to neutralize the President's assailants with hydrogen sulphide from their vent pipes. Wack this stuff regularly and you won't be able to stay on the beat for more than 30 minutes at a stretch. That's a security risk. |
positivelord:Let us understand the spiritual dynamics of this whole thing. First and foremost, Christianity is a Faith so the most common expressions one will encounter with Christians are faith based expressions. Where the problem lies with most Christians is what they express their faith on. Ultimately the Word is the anchor of faith in the personality of Jesus. But faith is also a Spirit and the nature of a spirit is dynamic. It is living. It can move, rest and occupy space and persons. It came upon the man Jesus and made him the Christ. It comes upon men of the Word, men of virtue and occupies all about them including material things. The woman with the issue 'touched the hem (edge folds) of Jesus' tunic and she was healed. Faith met The Faith. In the New Testament it is written, aprons, hankerchiefs ministered. Even the shadow of an Apostle. You are right. The ultimate desire and purpose of God for us is reunification with Him. He wants us to fellowship with Him as a son does with his father through the salvation of Jesus Christ. So the Word is the ultimate guide to this objective. However the journey of Faith takes time and people grow in virtue. Before they can fly with the Word God has made it possible for them to tap into the virtues of those who are ahead of them in then faith for instant solutions to pressing problems. A man with a terminal illness may not be able of have sufficient time to build himself enough faith to overcome his challenge. Likewise a man in deep troubles. It is very unfair for Freeze and others to sit in their comfort and judge people who may just be clinging on to life, sanity or perhaps dignity. What these 'chair worshippers' as they are mocked is exactly the same shouting down that blind Bartimeus received. He persisted and received a reward. I will not be surprised if their faith is likewise rewarded. When it then becomes a shortcut to a life of the 'Word of Faith', it is God Himself that will ensure it doesn't work. |
Elnino4ladies:The chair worshippers have expressed their opinion. Freeze has done so similarly. You have done so as well so why should he shut up. It is a free world of expression. They have broken no law against man or the state. |
Hmmm..protein powder....I always think long and I am certain if she continues, in her later years she will send emissiaries round Asia and Arica seeking kidneys to harvest. Any abuse of the body has consequences. Russia does not have universal healthcare. |
In another decade that asset will have assumed junk status. Folks, invest in the long term so that your grand kids will be in awe, not seeking court orders to hide their past. |
Wanna see the loo. That is the minimum standard for humanity. The first priority. The referee for health and wellness for the act of the only thing that cannot be decribed in book and on radio or shown on television and the movies no matter how high the PG rating is. I don't care for public shows. It is what folks do to make themselves different from animals that matter... yes the humble lavatory. Let us see that first before we praise or condemn... |
Saintp:By 2019 they will all be demystified. They better hem in the parrot after his sack with a well rotted skeleton from his cupboard or he will sing like a canary. |
Even OPEC is conspiring to undermine the present government by eroding the last excuse in their political missile shield. What next... there was no monkey pox in PDP's time.... eh.. |
Instead of going into the bush to w.?.nk off his career he prefers shooting it in the foot...or thigh.... just sick. Said it a thousand times. Soldiers are not meant to be in civilian territory. Nigeria is not at war or being invaded. Restructure the police to make it a proper law enforcement institution. Whatever soldiers do the police is better equiped by tradition and moreso in all civilised countries of the world. Soldiers on the streets is not proactive security. It is symptomatic of a failed state. |
Noblewhiz:I think Jose is always in fear of losing. Clean sheets are good no doubt but this is not the current state of the game. Almost all the champions league and world cup winners of recent years had attack as their emphasis. Most had poor defences talking of the Madrid's and Barcelonas, great teams of our time. If Jose cannot evolve his game he may go the Wenger way, stubborn to inconsequence. His stock will fall. Even Conte who comes from a traditionally defensive football culture yet his Juventus, Italian and now Chelsea teams were/are free scoring. |
Mourinho should realise that the fear of losing making him play defensive is not the modern game. All the successful teams of the recent past have all outgunned their opponents. This is the decade of the attackers. Not the 90's and 2000's when defences won trophies. The game has changed and the philosophy of bus parking cannot win trophies these days. Secondly, there are a few overrated players in United. Lukaku should have been removed. Not a big game player, Miki as well. Without quality strikers United will remain a marginal team, not champions stuff. |
Piggery.... to produce pork chops... |
I think Arsenal fans should just admit that their club has become a mid table team without a chance in hell against the top teams home and away. Their north London slot in the top four has been taken over by Spurs and there is no more vacancy at the top. |
Arsenal has just too many poor players. Left wing back Monreal, Right wing backs are not just Premiership class amongst several. Wenger has a big squad of average players. Brought in Lacazette and you cannot use him against the best team in the league.... what more is there to say about Wenger.... and his madness. |
sarrki:Okay. If cabal doesnt exist then we can blame Baba directly.... for all the dramatic stories we hear every week. I think it is on your interest to accept the existence of 'the cabal'. They are the circuit breakers of this government and whatever failings they demonstrate. |
mosho2good:The same thing on earth bro. In Nigeria the only name your hear, day in day out is Buhari, Buhari. In the world it is Trump, Trump...it is all about power, that comes with responsibilities. You will have supporters and detractors in equal measure. Folks who look up to you and others who blame you for mosquito bites.... its the same. So Jesus is perhaps the most praised and maligned in heaven and on earth in equal measure. It is power.... |
Because all power in heaven and earth has been given unto Him. There is no higher authority, simple. In Nigeria there is no higher personality than President Buhari. So his signature cannot be turned down anywhere in Nigeria. Same with Jesus as far as all eternity is concerned. Its all about power. |
The Park selection is a gear function so the entire potential energy of the vehicle rests on the gearbox. For a heavily loaded vehicle or one on an incline this will put immense pressure on the gearbox components and you notice this when you attempt to drive out of a slope. I don't think this pressure goes without wear to the components so what is advisable is to engage your handbrake in any situation that will make the vehicle roll unaided (either by loading or incline) and to do so BEFORE gear selecting the park lever so the load is carried by the wheels/brake assembly and not the gearbox. Modern gearboxes are robust and enduring but notoriously difficult to repair or replace when they eventually wear out and certainly much more expensive that the brake system of yoir vehicle so why stress them unnecessarily. P.S: It is possible that modern vehicles will/or are being built with linkages between the 'park' selector and the brake system thus nullifying the need to have a seperate brake lever. But for the vast majority of vehickes on our roads today bith systems are entire independent and for a good reason too, one acting as a redundancy to the other in case of failure of which stopping a vehicle in motion is a serious priority. My two cents. |
When intellectuals are gunned down on the streets like dogs one can only expect a dark, desperate future. What a pity. |
Queenlovely:Almost the same as the Secret Service. That is, 'To serve and protect God, His interests and His family'. |
Queenlovely:Very naive. God is surrounded by Angels. He understands what security is all about, you don't. |
Hmmm....the man is grossly overweight. Must be on some serious medication to keep him going at 75. More productive years to you sir. |
This is irritating... disgusting. China has more than enough resources to be independently innovative. They have the population, the cash and the clout to offer the world more than just cheap(er), generic stuff. I'm disappointed at them. No one is safe and Africa as a whole is doomed with behaviour like this. |
