banmee:If you ran into your doctor at a children's party dressed like a clown that makes him what.... and when you have a chicken bone stuck diwn your throat tell him to get dressed properly before bringing it out. Know the circumstance first. |
There is nothing wrong with an armed policeman out of uniform. There are lots of circumstances that can put him in that situation. What counts is a legal, alternative, visible and credible means of identification which should be made compulsory despite the dresscode. Various security agencies should adapt the use of badges, crests and tags to identify themselves while out in public to prevent unwanted incidences. |
samjey:Not necessarily. There are many breakups in life that end well from businesses, religious organisations, professionals, etc. Remember a certain Beyonce was a group member. It just depends on how it is handled. Certainly an absolute rebranding is imperative. The guy just has to be focused, hardworking and enormously patient. |
Aufbauh:The fight is ideological not physical. I know you guys want blood. You crave destruction but it will be denied you while the freedoms and liberties of a progressive society will be achieved before your eyes. We will develop and look back to your types in decades to come as mere stepping stones, obstacles that led to the development of an egalitarian society where laws are made and kept in the interest of all. I commend the igbos for keeping it peaceful despite the unprecedented provocations, the needless loss of lives and destruction of property. History is on your side. Oppression may last a while but freedom will always come. Nowhere in the world has it remained forever. Bloodshed will not define the struggle no matter how they want it to. |
sarrki:And can you see why tact rather than threats is the solution to what was a social problem.. ..and I emphasize 'was', because it appears all the government is good at is escalating situations and making mountains out of mole hills. Instead of containing it has dispersed the problem so solutions will become more costly, harder and prolonged. Instead of negotiating with one party they will have to negotiate with multiple parties, spreading resources of law enforcement thin and bogging down the criminal justice system. It appears the government has not learned from similar conflicts in the south-south and north-east, that a problem can spread and deepen if not handled wisely. If they donot de-escalate the situation they will pay a heavy price and at the end of the waste still ask for negotiations. We need statesmen to stand up and be counted. |
Intellad:He's had his heaven here..... which one again. You only get one. |
The man that corrupted us all. All hail the king of skin. |
EazyMoh: if it is boring it should cause you to doze off not keep awake typing epistles. Like those who spend every waking minute talking about Ipob, secession and Kanu yet called it, them inconsequential.... I just can't put the two scenarios together. But we can understand the 'bold face' as we say. |
MISSCONGENIALITY:hmmm ....indeed many of you ladies are. |
Totalitarianism loading..... Unfortunate. |
Saved her from all sorts of anti-social problems. What is in the body abeg, and what is in the minds of ladies who worship an unsustainable commodity. She should rather be worried if the tailor was degrading her mental capacity. |
GavelSlam:Okay Kanu is history, IPOB is proscribed, peace has returned to the east....then what. What is the plan moving forward. Be explicit....if you and your lot are sincere. |
Oya, with the one you have heard what are you planning to do to mitigate their greviances. The government that has acted swiftly against the movement should also act swiftly to consider what the grieviances that has led to the unrest if they are sincere. But no. They want the matter to die down, everybody goes to bed and the problems continue to their advantage. Nothing has been set up at any level to address the issues raised. |
emmyN:Social media is the interface of the public so that is where they should live their lives. Afterall the public made them so they are accountable to the public. And performing artistes are public figures who should live their lives in public in totality. Everyday you see them post pictures of 'pre wedding' this, red carpet that, bentleys, booze and bozos, no one complains. It will be hypocritical not to show the other side of life, the red side so that ghe public can learn that success does not stand on one leg, is not a linear graph and that every bling comes from a dirty diamond mine dug by sweaty peons. That there is the difficult, tough, unpleasant side of life too and such must be reflected and represented. The deception that our youths go through everyday in encounters with folks like these is a perception that all is always rosy so they like to try it out and oft get burnt. Whereas to get to the top and stay at the top in any sphere of life from pastoring to politicking requires some levels of ice cold brutality, the desires not to take nonsense and a disposition to fight for ones visions and values. Abeg, they should continue the public 'show' so others can learn and live. I have come to realise over time that it is impossible to merge the souls of men and fhat most times when relationships breakdown it is often so that there can be full expression of potential. That break ups though sad are often necessary exercises in evolution. So I expect something better from them not worse. |
And the mumus will be criticising private universities with better facilities calling them glorified grade schools. Does this not look like a concentration camp. We have told citizens to invest in education by paying the right price for it, but no. What you see is an epidemic brewing the likes of which will cost millions to resolve if just one of a number breaks out in such squalid conditions. |
madridguy:What has been done about the IG gate more than a month after the accusations by a whole senator (people to check the executive). Abeg go and sit down and shut it. What has changed in two and a half years of hot air. They cannot listen to a senator, it is a prisoner they will listen to. Next you will hear is attacks on the person of the complaint. |
CrtlAltDel:And you are absolutely right. It will cost him and I'm happy you mentioned the west too. Together with the rest of Nigeria we all ignore facts and vote sentimentally. That is why we're the way we are, retrogressive. |
VIPERVENOM:Fact not insult. Abeg remove your sentimental specs. If you are from the north, educated enough to see through the feudal curtain you will acknowledge the fact and be mad at who is responsible for this and vow that it stops herewith. You don't need an Atiku to tell you this. |
expialidocious:hmm... food for thought. Not knowing that the very country they maim and kill for to maintain the status quo has been an anchor to their collective destinies. They whine and whine all day yet cannot summon the courage to say thoughtless of to do what is right. |
Obi1kenobi:Put this template of what you have said on Nigeria, step back and just wonder... |
iammo:What will yours do when he is insulted.... or disrespected. You love America. Make Nigeria like this. |
When the Niger-Delta brouhaha was hottest and Nigeria was on its knees it was the ripest time for any of its constituent nations to speak up and make demands but the west and others rather than strengthen their position with visionary leadership weakened it by ambivalence to hostility against those who wanted change. It has taken the east again to weaken the country yet there are still calls from largely oppressed people to maintain the status quo. You can imagine how much further all these regions will have gone if they pressed a dialogue then with solid, visionary demands. But folks felt peace at all costs was the solution to Nigeria bit as a student of engineering I know that most dynamic systems are stable when under tension be it the rope that holds your tent up or the rubber that keeps your tyres inflated. In political terms it means nations are kept stable and progressive if their constituents are constantly in a state of social tension. This means no one is relaxed taking others for granted. This means everyone has to work equally hard for the integrity of the system. This means the failure of one will lead to the collapse of all. And so this means the quality of materials that form a country has to be high and uniformly applied. Nigeria is no where near this. That is why we cannot succeed in anything meaningful as far as humanity is concerned. |
slimfairboy:Simple. Now that the iron is hot it can be moulded. This is the time to strike it. Once the owners of Nigeria awake from the turbulence they will fight back. Rise now or be silent for long. How many people can they kill at once. If Cross-Riverians sit back and form good boy they will be left behind. That is how nations grow and prosper. They negotiate their participation in various unions that form states. 'Give me this and. that and I will remain to strengthen the union', simple. That is real change and Nigeria must change to a nation of democratic negotiations. One set of people cannot sit back and decide how all others live and die. |
libertyhope2017:Pressure. Undiluted pressure. Their choices are becoming limited. |
Good one by the federal government and all thanks to the various activists for restructuring, and shows that intransigent things cannot be achieved by negotiating with an opponent with all the aces and loaded dice alone. You need force or the the threat of force to gain traction sometimes. From. the funds for such a massive investment made possible by the Niger-Delta agitation to the calls for the delamination of this nation which will give it wings to fly if they can overcome the final hurdles of Customs and other statutory supervision which will not be easy. I'm sure Donald Duke will be amazed at how far the country has gone and wonder if he governed at this time perhaps Tinapa wouldn't have become a white elephant. Small, small the Titanic will turn and miss destruction hopefully. |
naptu2:With this perennial flooding they might as well dam the damn thing and return the cables. How much power does Kainji and Shiroro pump out anyway.... and then those plants work to cap only during the rainy season... |
Shakingdbumbum:Sure. They will be liberated from their feudal overlords to be independent, educated, properly empowered and obviously de-radicalised. Then they will begin to resemble the progressive gulf Arab states they so like to identify with. |
Afam4eva:Now you see. Social injustice. When we go into details you will be shocked. |
paiz:You can see that when the foot is in the fire they are admitting what they have been denying for years....that they have the upper hand. More pressure on them will reveal how census after census had been criminally manipulated for decades in order to gain advantage in everything from revenue to political positions. But that is not even scratching the surface yet. |
As usual they attack the messenger to conceal the message. Talking up and down about Atiku's character, livelihood and ambitions while completely ignoring debate on his message... conveniently. And they say Nigerians are sensible. |
Pidgin2:Women and blaming something else since the days of Eve. |
Corruption can never end, period. |

The man that corrupted us all. All hail the king of skin.

Polygamy is abnormal that's why it always brings chaos to any home where it exists.
