if everyone decides to take up harms at the slightest excuse, then expect the whole country to go up in flames. May God help us.
Slightest excuse indeed. You must be sick. This is exactly why the right to bear arms was enshrined in the American constitution, the central government was weak and divided and couldn't secure the lives of the people from the native Indians, the Spanish, French, British and the Mexicans. The people were the defacto defenders of the union. What is different in Nigeria today. A weak central government, invaders from Chad, Niger and Libya and a people divided, against one another. Abeg they should legalise the thing until we have a working constitution and a functional country. The end to the lopsided turkey shoot is long overdue.

Do you know the North feeds the whole Nation? All these backbone talk should stop. Whether these stupid men negotiate with President Buhari or not, it is still our land we are destroying. This is senseless. There are a lot of Niger Deltans working in these sites. Currently, those men are jobless and President Buhari is still President.

If we like, Bomb for the next three years. We will be the ones who suffer the effect why President Buhari and Aisha will still flex Aso Rock.

After destroying all the installations, will we still be the so called backbone?
The thing I often wonder about is that, if it does not matter, why comment. Like someone said, when these things happen all you hear about is pollution and the facts that others can do alright without. If something is irrelevant normal people just leave the thing alone. If the oil and the region is irrelevant, leave the oil and the region alone. Let us stop being clever by half. Nigeria cannot work without everyone in all regions, of all tribes and religions in agreement with mutual respect.

And when Asari does his own the senseless idiots talk rubbish. They will not ask how developed Indimi's village, town, state and region is. Who is Indimi. What is he or was he, or what did he do to gain that wealth. Was it willed to him by an ancestor from that region. Is he a great geologist or petroleum engineer or a general who won the Nigerian civil war and these are the spoils, because we have ex-generals who have oil wells and have given out oil wells. Now we have Niger-Delta militants fighting battles, winning and losing. Their spoils in pipeline contracts and others are termed corrupt and their wealth vile. What is the fundamental difference between General Tompolo and General TY Danjuma. Is Danjuma's village better than Tompolo's. What has Danjuma contributed to Nigeria since 'winning the war'. Nigeria as constituted now is an unbalanced, unfair society that cannot prosper until it confronts itself in honesty and settles all its constituents amicably. Every single thing the leaders and people of the Niger Delta are being accused of are what the leaders and the peoples of other regions are doing and have been doing for 50 years since independence but all of a sudden it has become so vile. I just pity this country.

Palm oil as replacement ?....you want me to laugh. Do you know that the anti-oxidising properties of tomatoes is one of the few things standing between you and the certain deadly downside of palm oil. My friend, food is not just about taste and energy. Don't toy with your health. There is NO substitute for tomatoes in the food industry. Go and grow some at home. It is not too difficult.

'Victims' fighting back. As usual playing the victim card. We can hardly survive viruses but we owe ourselves a duty of protection and avoidance. Where goes the saying, 'don't talk to strange men' told us by our parents time and again. Naivety and greed placed them in danger.

With the menace of rampaging herdsmen everywhere this is a good case for those seeking local solutions to the great protein question. Everyone can and should raise fish. Though catfish is close to the bottom of the fish quality index, it remains far healthier than any red meat out there.

Behold the Senior brother to LAI MUHAMMED...

What happened to PTF FUNDShuh??

On the massive fraud discovered when PTF was disbanded in 1999, the dullardistic general only defence was that he was not aware that such massive frauds went on his watch, but that in any event, he could not have benefited personally. What manner of defence! And off-course he has remained poor ever after and had to take a loan from banks to purchase nomination forms but his wife donation 135Million naira worth of drugs to Adamawa state government .....
Buhari must believe Nigerians are a bunch of idiots to tell such a story, despite driving a fleet of armored jeeps.
In the end, the independent consultants concluded that of the N181 billion that accrued to PTF in the four and a half years of its existence between July 1994 and July 1999, as much as N25 billion was either stolen or improperly expended, under our anti-corruption crusader!

Who is fooling whohuh

Swear today and see us bury you 2morow.
I remember the PTF thing as if it was yesterday because I was there. I tell you. People know just that Abacha was so so despised, the ligtning rod for all the wrongs that it overshadowed the deeds or misdeeds of other players in that government. Buhari obviously has not done it wantonly and I give him credit for that but he has also been enriched through patronage by notable compromises in the past and has successfully been able to weather controvery. That is creditable.

Sports › Re: Flying Eagles Arrive Burundi Ahead Of CAF U-20 Championship by Reference(m): 6:30am On May 21, 2016
Is it me or what. You've hardly digested the news of one tournament before another takes off. There's just too much football played these days that some trophies are better beaten down into fake ornamental jewelry. Yesterday Manu, Siasia, today Amuneke again with all the drama. Too much footy. No wonder they are all so corrupt from FIFA to NFF. This summer alone you have Euros, Copa and Olympics soccer. That my friend, is the recipe for football indigestion.

Then you have the other side, the ladies wanting it all as well. If FIFA insists on having a new world champion in age grade soccer every 2 years, it should consider merging the U17 and U21 programs into one cadet tournament. Is it surprising Europe doesn't take age grade soccer serious. Look at the Euros coming up shortly. Everyone wants to play because in a career you may get just 3 shots at it whereas the Nations Cup changes hands so quickly that top players gamble with it knowing many more opportunities abound. You only see them come when their stock flounders.

Nigeria has won the U17 Cup like a gazillion times. Its now like an old wife, reliable but not sparky.

saintdennis:
The true cause of this incident MIGHT not be told, I was walking past a police checkpoint in my area and personally witnessed a truck driver floor his gas pedal after pretending to obey the policeman's signal to park .

They both cocked their rifles but decided against opening fire on the vehicle (maybe cos they felt he wasn't really a security threat but probably had no/incomplete drivers license/car papers)

#justsaying...i haven't seen anyone with the right papers/licenses misbehaving @ a checkpoint b4
Just shut it. That a vehicle speeds past the police, does it give them any right to open fire. Most check points are equiped with a patrol car with which to give chase and if they cannot they can call the nearest checkpoint to them to make the intercept. The rules of engagement for most officers under arms in non combat scenarios is simple. You only attempt to use deadly force when your life or the lives of innocent civilians is threatened, not when a felon has his back turned in flight.
Properties › Re: The End Of Omo Onile In Lagos? by Reference(m): 7:31am On May 19, 2016
Lagos can never lay claim to being a civilsed ci ty and is not prepared to advance beyond the 21st century if it cannot deal decisively with the menace of economic pirates namely: 'Omonile', Transport (air, sea and land) touts, copyright infringers, etc.

The omonile one is the worst because it affects the inflow of investment funds to the State, a cancer that has to stop. Rivers State had a similar if not worse problem before the Amaechi era and he succesfully wiped it out. It led to an unprecedented expansion of the city and deepening of development. Such is the case that even with an entirely new grassroots government there are no signs the menace is back. Lagos just has to do something to clean up that image. I have personally had experiences on two fronts, the additional costs on my projects and the embarassment of explaining to overseas clients these 'sundry undocumentable costs'.
