Adminisher:Hahaha. So they are doing you a favour, weaning you off your addiction to octane fumes. Any body builder angry with his workout machines because they hurt his muscles is a joker....dumb citizens. Instead of insisting for the expedient diversification. Your problems are in Aso Rock not the creeks. That is why Jonathan remains the best president to date. He saw tomorrow but the establishment will have none. Even Saudi Arabia with unlimited reserves and production costs of 20 dollars (virtually the only OPC making profit now) has gone beyond thinking to 'doing' diversification. We are running round looking for drugs to indulge our habit. |
Acidosis:I call them tissue paper, only good for wiping your rear end. Once the original is gone just forget it or the service it supports. |
I said that this thing will spiral out of control if not handled properly. Here we go. |
Pointless match. The horse has bolted. |
NNPC, the scourge of Nigeria, the grim reaper of all administrations. Why can't that failed organisation be scrapped. |
Whether car or house or hotel or church, leather or cloth is synonymous with climate control. No A/C (full time) no leather. Its an animal remember. |
Quakertellicus1:You should know better, that it has come to stay and that it is a barometer of the quality of people making up a country and the likely direction the country will take, afterall they are youths.....the driving force behind the successes of other countries. You are right. The APC did its part last administration and see where it landed us, an auerage choice. When the youths will not set the pace and find a leader who can match it with a drive towards their aspirations.... Leadership is only as good as followership afterall Moses the meekest man was rubbished and died in the desert because of the goats he led. |
Good development. This is what a President should be doing, engaging across demographics and party politics. That's leadership and statesmanship. He should engage all the governors of states at the centre of the economic war. |
The fact that Ateke, Tompolo and Asari are not part of the latest campaign of sabotage against the State lends credence to the amnesty program of the past and more notably the ascension to power and responsibility of a figure from that region. The fact also that new groups are spawning clearly shows that the present government isn't getting it right. The ND issue is not a Jonathan, PDP or South-South issue, it is a Nigerian issue and we should start viewing it with collective responsibility as a nation. A northerner, westerner, easterner, PDP man, APC man should view the region from a perspective as if he or she came from there. And even if he was resident in Turkey or Timbuktu consider that his aged parents live there. Tell me. Will you be proud of what the place has become. |
ddippset:It is cyclical. The APC was once like this, a party of factions but came together to wrest power. They will run government until they run out of goodwill and lose power. This is inevitable and is the nature of democracy. |
Wow, really surprised that the party machinery is crystalizing this early. I had earlier thought nothing was happening but for their members to start taking positions is a sign of revival. I hope a few more groupings emerge before the year's end so that the foundations of the party will be deepened. We really need the PDP to get back into active politics as an institution. The present scenario where individuals speak on its behalf and oppose the government is problematic because the government shuts these folks with arrests, charges and prosecutions. That is why I will always favour institutions over individuals (you cannot arrest institutions). Now that the party is being rebuilt there is hope that true opposition politics moves closer for our collective benefit. |
Until GLO builds a refinery I will use them for voice (calls) only. |
The APC should stop this buck passing. Buhari was elected because of these kind of things, tough, decisive decisions. A vast majority wanted to tap into his militaty background to institutionalise discipline and cut through political red tape. If he cannot take responsibility in times like this he will severely undermine his respect and if his aides keep on taking political blows on his behalf it is they who will first rebel. |
Lìke I said a number of days ago. Buhari and his supporters will do anything to insulate themselves from political responsibility. In order to remain a cult figure and appear squeaky clean the bitter roots of governance must always be uprooted and others made to take the brew. Deflections, excuses and buck passing has now become the norm. The governors are the latest to fall for what is a Federal decision and responsibility while the President as usual was absent. Hmmm,......I just wonder..... |
Dang. Now Wenger's hinting Giroud could be the lead man next season with just one supporting cast..... |
Anything this administration suffers going forward on this matters is self inflicted. They should have allowed the previous government bell-the-cat. |
citizenisb:Stop being silly. So being critical of persons, policies and government is not patriotic. If no one was critical about the previous government and president will this government have seen the light of the day. Abeg wake up. This government is open for criticism and if it can't take it, it should close shop. |
Baba dey play wit tiger tail.....anyway una know una sef.....from the 70's... |
Abeg what is all this useless whining, Nigerians should get to work. The bottleneck of scarcity and uncertainty, theft and corruption is over in the oil sector. Fuel is here. Use it to grow the economy and stop complaining. |
Quite agree. At least after surgery you are given pain killers while healing else you run mad or collapse from shock but like the late Prince, when you get addicted to painkillers aka palliatives.....death is not far from your economy. Nigerians always want the easy way out. They want to be Japan without being nuked or China without Mao. Sorry, ain't gonna happen. |
OgidiOlu3:Honestly, I really can't understand what is happening in Nigeria except this is some practical joke by the op. |
Omooba77:No. Tomato is a dry season crop. It needs plenty of sun and dry air, not what you get induring the tropical season of high moisture, high humidity which promotes lots of diseases. The only way you can do it successfully is to have a greenhouse. |
TopsyKrete:If the sector is properly deregulated and liberalised it can generate up to 5 million jobs at full bloom. |
Nice...... now and hence forth he should be addressed as 'Honourable Seven Toes'. |
Then they should be ready for 60% downsizing. Each worker carrying the load of three.. |
Corruption will be a saturday afternoon picnic compared to what is coming if this country is not restructured. |
Lisaflex:As women roam about half naked with all the anatomical enhancements imaginable on display just to impress men, so are men fighting back, robbing, kidnapping, assaulting just to impress women with fake lives and false wealth...its a viscious, destructive cycle. |
After 5 children.....who are now orphans more or less. |
Our David Silva of times past. Great player. |
Without a credit history checking system, no way, and that depends on the establishment of a national financial data base which is not there. However the BVN can be an important start. |
Corruption can never end in Nigeria. Like matter it can only adopt another form. |
