hillsate: Guys, one of the serious problems affecting Ndigbo is that they are never united, and that is why it will be difficult for an Igbo person to be president. They do not even accept their own. Just imagine how they are attacking their leader. How many northerners do you see attacking their own or even the westerners? Are you a democrat at all. How many in the SW fell in line with the PDP with OBJ even as BOT chair and two term Executive President. Why should everyone toe the line of APC. Is Nigeria now territory to be conquered. Let people flex their political muscles. If APC is good enough, fine but to exchange a one-party state for another is a disaster in the making. Not everyone should be in the PDP neither the APC. |
That's why I luuvv politricks. The east is no more for easy pickings. No more falling in line. No more political correctness or tagging along to make the system work. This is self actualisation, this is the people speaking. This is power and this is the first step to a corruption free, democratic society. Oya Rochas, swivi. |
After the Spain match I saw our real level and knew we'ed lose and didn't bother watching. Had a good night sleep. Same problem. Lousy attitude. Bonuses and parties are our priorities. Hope they have them plenty before the spanish inquisition. All I hope is that the FA doesn't panic and send us back to medevial times. The potential and talent is there but can you stop the black man, the Nigerian from self destruction. Attitude. Attitude. Attitude. |
Uruguay and Tahiti have all seen the dentist. Next is our turn. May they temper justice with mercy. |
And someone said earlier that Spain might not put as many goals past Tahiti, trying in vain to colour our performance. Well, I have an equation of my own. If Spain can put more than six past Tahiti without conceeding then Uruguay will likely defeat us on the balance of play. We must get serious. |
bebe2:Gives air to what the guy on the surfing thread said bout the critical thinking of the av. black or Nigerian lady though he was vilified. Hope you are just kidding. |
Afro connect: Genetic modified foods is a commercialization ply,it is uindermining good health all for high yields and multiple returns on lifestock rearing. The scientists know it is harmful, the Government knows.GM seeds are already here. Private farmers have been importing and using them for years. That government is just arriving the scene is natural. They are always years behind the curve. |
hisblud: Now the question is *how can one differentiate between GM and non GM farm product? No difference on the surface but it depends on what the modification is targeted at, disease resistance, drought resistance, productivity, appearance, taste, whatever. Where a crop or animal is disproportionate, dysfunctional or just plain different, it is likely to be GM. Ordinarily in western shops you find for instance perfect fruit and vegs. Most of these are not by natural selection but are GM to reduce field losses. For those saying garri is exempt should think twice. The humble cassava plant has spent decades in the labs of the FAO and other local institutes. What we have today is far from what our fore-fathers planted. If it sticks out, it is likely GM. |
Look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. Chase men around and forever be surprised. No man can do it long enough, consistently enough. Read your bible. David's sons were not like him, neither Abraham's sons, neither Solomon's sons and so forth. We are all saved by grace. No man is worth following. They are just mediums. |
If this was about persons in the ruling party or from other parts of the country the thread will have grown to supermarket proportions. Anyway that time is coming. I will see how Nairaland will be transformed then. |
riyaq: we dont wear rings in somaliaOkay. Whatever floats your boat. Talk about 'wedding band'. |
greatgod2012: Does putting on wedding ring ALWAYS prevent a potential cheat from cheatingEven God found that out long time ago. Objects, rites, rituals and other symbolism simply doesn't work. Those that hang crosses on their necks or stickers of Jesus Christ on their dash boards are the same. A vain attempt to convince, persuade or perhaps deceive. A casual onlooker may fall for it but those that interact will detect intentions within seconds as to whether that is just expensive junk on your finger or otherwise. It is the heart. |
Suspended? Am sure fellow prison inmates will be tearing their hair out at the lost opportunity to co-launch the new summer jail collection called El Vilano or perhaps Vilanova. |
Pretty average performance against a football nonentity. Seen enough. Be back much later. |
Igbanibo: When the first lady opens her mouth and starts attacking a governor, we know that this tussle has been taken to another level.Exactly. Serious depths. |
A new low mark madam. Politics is not your turf and GEJ has a vice already. |
LoveAmaka: Just close the door since you mother in law is there with the kids. How many thunderstorm is happening in one week.Maybe the thunderstorms were coming from their room and the children were mistaken but momma is certain. |
joni2time: That Brazilian side lack team coordination . |
thegoodjoehunt: I just read this comment on dailymail after the Spanish thrashing of Norway in the U21 European championship. It rains everywhere but if you want abundant water you need a big pool. It is the FA's responsibility to build that pool. The current bucket of talent the FA is carrying on its head is not exploiting the neverg ending rain which is the popularity of the english game. Same here am afraid. |
What next on Nairaland. Page 3 girls? |
Never seen a scraggly looking cook. Wouldn't eat his works. The richest men in Nigeria should be Niger-Deltans whether they work or not. If you're angry then cease your thirst for oil. Diversify. I don't envy or insult Kuwaitis, Saudis and Qataris. Why should anyone vilify Deltans. Asari is simply a Nigerian sheik in his kingdom. |
Pastor Kun: But this is very very stale news na, the transformer plant was commissioned at least three years ago.Yeah. Thought I heard bout it too but can't be sure if they were policy statements, plans, turning the sod, certain milestones or whatever. You know in this country information is a harlot to be used as one pleases. Good initiative though. |
When private universities lock down they complain. When public universities express liberties they complain. What do you guys want. |
uceee: Very, very well said. In the long run, the effect of crude oil theft on our economy may be just as bad, if not worse than Boko Haram. If something is bad and dangerous to you why continue sniffing it. Either quit or destroy it. With all the calamity oil has brought this country, I thought it will be our collective sleeping and waking dream to move as far away as possible from that dangerous stuff. What are the people at NIPSS paid to do. If they cannot see that in ten years Nigeria may not have access to more than 100,000 barrels of oil per day even if Tompolo is made NNPC GMD then their salaries should be NFF'ed. |
If the basis of the imminent collapse is diminishing crude oil cash then its a good thing. If a drunkard is going to die because misus is hiding the booze why should I be bothered. Let him eat food instead. His potruding beer belly that's attracting the babes (foreign investors) should not mask his decaying liver. Diversify the economy Okonjo like the faithful housewife of Nigeria you are. |
No one should be surprised at this. He is just a chip off the old block. MKO himself led the way. June 12 is and should be about the target not the trigger. But it goes a very long way in projecting how this country functioned under former feudal lords the kinds that the late man wined and dined with. |
OmoEziokwu: Please all those even mentioning anything about hiring a foreign technical director should just stop, PLEASE STOP! This team has a soul, and Keshi is part of that make up. The boys are fired up, it's just that some of them aren't all that, or haven't sufficient experience. Let them grow from strength to strength, together. Yes it is true that Emenike and Moses will be missed but right now the best thing in my opinion is to encourage the boys to step up. I believe Ujah and Oduamadi would have learnt their lessons and will step up their game come Monday next week, and Ideye will be gearing to go for the kill to assert himself as a lead striker in this present team for the Confeds. This whole thing is just psychology and the mental state of the players. Guys, they won't do badly in the Confederation Cup and may surprise you all again. Cheers! Now this is one who understands the game. People often ref the 1994 team but they forget Westerhof started in 1989 with a team of unknowns and inexperience (except for Keshi) that dreaded the likes of Cameroun, Ghana and all north african teams. The first match of Algiers 90 we lost 1-5 but rebounded to reach but lose the finals. That team did not win the Nations Cup till 1994. That's 3 tournamentr and 4 years of Westerhof. My point is. One of the key to lasting success is consistency in approach. Chopping and changing for short term results will get us no where. In football, it is teams and tournaments that make players not players that make teams. Before 1990 several of the players we celebrate were as ordinary and unskilled as the ones we have today. Heck Siasia could not find goals regularly, Oliha was all over the place, Eguavoen conceeded PK's willy nilly but they were a heck of a team. |

Provie: Ouch! |
There are practically no works given to mass production in which the processes are a marked turn off. From slaughter houses, restaurants, construction sites, oil rigs, and the factory that manufactures your beloved rolex watch or BMW. A peak behind the curtains and you'll be thoroughly amazed or disappointed. |
That's why its proper to develop your own instead of relying on these mecenaries who have no honour. If he was Namibian where will he run to. |
