Shameless people

Is your democracy in Nigeria better than them?

If security forces don't inadvertently drop bomb on hapless citizens, they shoot them dead because of N100.

Shameless country that is known for the worst crimes on earth against her own citizens but go about advising others about democracy and good governance.
Apply the advise on your rotten country.

600 years is waiting for all these crooks

Very timely.

With the alarming rate of divorce and murder in the bedroom, this might just save some marriages that are at the brink of collapse....for the marriages that truly want to be saved though.

A bitter woman, and a wife beater cannot be saved even by Titanic

Nice one Dickson

My comment is not meant to mock anybody or any region.
I was only trying to raise the point that celebrating buildings is not a metric for standard of living.

Rather than celebrate V. I, Ikoyi, Lekki, Marina and environs, when more than half of the population of Lagos live in filth and squalor, we should bring the plight of those in Ikorodu, Mushin, Olodi Apapa, Makoko, Ebute Metta, Agboyi-Odo etc to the front burner for all concerned Nigerians to see the wickedness of our leaders despite the abundance of wealth.

Sorry for calling out your hood.
I have friends there, and I personally love the sound of that name.

Adios

Show us Ajangbadi jare'

Most Nigerians are little minded.
We celebrate buildings that don't translate to better living condition.

Building is never a metric for standard of living, especially in this century.
Rather than rejoice over brick and mortar, let us demand governance from the crooks that has held the country hostage.

You will never see people that live in Las Vegas, Hong Kong, Tokyo etc snap buildings to celebrate non-existent national pride

Did Sanwoolu listened when BRT service was increased by his government?
He did not listen because most of the people affected are commoners that lack the capacity to affect or influence government action..

Same cannot be said for the 5% increment.

Ordinary people don't matter to Nigerian politicians not until elections.
Surprisingly, despite all the disdain and wickedness, we still vote to elect same people that are treating us badly today

I feel for him. Not a good time to lose a job.

So Bamidele made a daring move of imposing 5% on digital platforms without carrying the state government along? It is hard to believe...
This suspension may just be done to save face from the backlash.

However, it is a sign of accountability. When we complain, our leaders should be able to listen and act accordingly.

What office were they holding when they have been using their visible platforms to speak on public matters of interest to them before now huh
Mr, you seem not to get the point. At this time, we don't just need people to talk for the sake of political correction.
Honest and sensible Nigerians are more interested in saving the life of that young man, and the little we can do as individuals is to call out those that are entrusted with the power to save his life.

At this point, Atiku and Suleiman are not any of such people. The more time we waste on them, the closer the young gets to his grave.

The young man is condemned in apparent betrayal of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and there are people that swore to defend that constitution, for which they collect salaries.
Call them out and stop beating round the Bush

Do you really need someone to tell or teach you that they are unelected officials? Really??

Why they are on front page? You should direct that question to the owner of this forum and his moderators...or better still ask the 2.5 million people why they are interested in the football teams they speak of.

You're just revving the engine of a vehicle that has no wheels.

Direct your anger, if you have any, to those that swore to protect us with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to save the condemned, because the young man does not have the luxury of time.

Which office is Apostle Suleiman holding? Or Atiku?

I urge you strongly to ponder on your last sentence because you seem to be looking for direction with your comment

@bold,

"If a hyena claims to have a cure for diarrhoea, then she should use it on herself" thus says a Nigerian proverb.

I want to believe your above submission is not what the lead post by the other commentator meant. However, if it does, then I am compelled to ask; what is the benefit of seeking for an opinion that you know will not amount to anything?
What is the sense in calling out those that does not have the means to save the young man that is doomed to die in the hands of proven criminals?
Is it not more sensible that the energy used in seeking for irrelevant opinions (in your own words) be directed to those that can use state apparatus to save the wrongly condemned man?

The more time used in seeking for irrelevant opinion just for the sake of political correction edge the young man closer to his grave.
As a sensible man that you claim to be, don't you think that in itself is a senseless thing to do?

Your comment betrayed you as another blind party faithful that is holding up a finger to know where the breeze is blowing from.
Life and death is not a party issue. It is humanity that is being questioned here....

For the sake of emphasis, let me reiterate again. Direct the attention and energy to those that swore to defend the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Seeking mere opinion from irrelevant individuals will not save the condemned, and moreso, he does not have the luxury of time

CrimeWho Killed The Man? by ReubenE(op): 7:23pm On Aug 15, 2020
Sometime ago in Lagos Nigeria, a young man (John) in his early thirties got fed up with his existential reality....because general poverty, frustration and rejection were the key drivers of his every day life.
For the above reasons, killing himself (suicide) became attracted to him as would a swarm of bees would gather round a honeycomb.

Again, there is a young man (Femi), who for over a year had a running battle with his newly married wife over certain disagreements centered around infidelity.
Overtime, they both agreed for a divorce, but the woman (Sarah) wanted more than what she could possibly get.

So on this faithful day, the frustrated young man having given thoughts to taking his own life decided to walk up a 25 storeys building in the middle of the city, very much determined to jump down to put an end to his misery.

Coincidentally, the couple fighting themselves over infidelity and divorce also found themselves in that same location in one of the opposite buildings on that faithful day.
While having a verbal exchange of bitter words, a melee ensued between them.

Unfortunately for the couple and the young man attempting to commit suicide, something happened that divided opinions till this day on the big question; who really killed the man?

The young man (John) jumped off the 25 storey building, but while he was still in flight yet to reach ground zero, his head was struck by a stray bullet before he could touch the ground. Obviously, he is dead.

Incidentally, the stray bullet was confirmed to have been fired from the Beretta pistol of the couples fighting themselves albeit inadvertently.
Sarah fired the gun in self defence while Femi was trying to strangle her to death....

Now, the question on everyone's lips is:

Who killed the man?

Did John kill himself or he died in the hands of the shooter?
If the answer is the latter, can the shooter be charged with manslaughter over a suicidal man that was already doomed to die?

Secondly, What if John had died already midway after taking that jump long before the bullet struck him?
Even if not so, the young man could have died after hitting the ground without anyone shooting at him....

In law, it is irrational to believe John would die anyway after jumping even without the bullet.
At the same time, it beats all known parameters of common sense to believe the young man could have survived after jumping to the ground.

*The big question is 'who really killed John?*

For some, It is morally wrong to sentence another man to death or life imprisonment over the death of a man that was already doomed to die.

On the other hand, some believe there would be no justice for John if the couples are not punished for putting a bullet in his head.

Where do you belong in the divide?

Keep the opinions coming.

Your best is killing people in mass.
Oga do harder by resigning from that fraudulent position you're occupying.

The only people that know that you are doing your best is just your family, largely because you provide all the luxury they are enjoying today, while those in Borno and Southern Kaduna can't even afford to sleep.
