excelsiorfarm: germination depends on depth, dont waterlogged, can be as low as 5 days to 12 days, depth and moisture(not waterlogged) play key role, after 4 - 5 days if no sign, u can simply scrap thru d soil to see if your seeds has d potential to grow, then d top would have turn green, note- u plant seeds with d shape cone like corner downward, but my advise is wet Your seed(enough moisture & not waterlogged), can even be done every alternate day. Dont be in a hurry, be patient for at least 10 - 12 days, just do your part well.

on my knees praying for speedy end of terrorism in Nigeria.

shekau, How I wish you identified the truth and walked with Christ the light of the world before you were killed! You were bred in sin and swam in the pool of blood of the innocent until you were caught. Now you were caught up to the judgement, and like all people who acted like you, were to bear the cost - condemnation. All evils he did in the name of God cannot go without the wrath. The wrath of Almighty God.
Christianity Etc › Re: Sunday School Lessons: What Do You Gain To Share With Others? by Rexyl(op):
Help with Finances
This lesson is to help Christians evaluate where they are on financial matters. It will also help to make right decision on spending money. All earthly resources are free gifts from God for our use. Therefore all we have as possession is by His grace and must be used to please Him. God wants us to trust and rely on Him to meet various needs. Our success is not a measure of our material and financial resources but how properly the resources are managed. Matthew 6:24 - No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; for else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. We have the followings for discussion: Put Money in Its Place; Make Wise Financial Choices, and Develop a Generous Spirit.

Put Money in Its Place: Right decision should be made on investments. According to Jesus the wisest decision is investing to secure the kingdom of God (Mathew 6:19-21). Earthly Investment can not last forever: anything can happen to it at any time. It can be stolen or destroyed by unforeseen circumstances. Global insecurity can also reduce its value or render it useless. The best place to keep investments for eternal dividends is heaven. By doing this we shall be focusing on building the kingdom of God rather than our own kingdoms which can fail at any time. Where your treasure is, there will be your heart also. Heaven is the best place to keep treasure.

Christians are to make a clear choice with money. What you do with it indicates its nature in your life; whether it is good or bad. Money is good if it is used to get what makes life meaningful and convenient. It is bad if it is used for evil, and if it is allowed to compete with your loyalty to God (Mathew 6: 22-24). Our quests for money reflects our spiritual conditions. God wants us to use our resources to advance His kingdom.

Make Wise Financial Choices: We are commanded to honour God with our substance and the first fruit of our increase. This further explains the importance of tithes (Proverbs: 9&10). Tithing should not be disregarded if we want access to God's free gifts as our possession. Giving the 10% to God is to appreciate his faithfulness and acknowledge Him as the Source and Provider. It also opens the door to His blessings. Tithes and offerings are not a means to pay for God's blessings: they are evidence of our faith and obedience.

Christians are taught to manage their financial resources very well and use it to invest in the future (Proverbs 13:11). In our efforts to do this we should design a plan to spend money for needs and in service to God. Christians should prepare a budget to analyse their finances. We must make tithes the first item of the list. Investing in our future means we should keep part of our incomes as savings either on weekly or Monthly basis until when the total amount shall be mostly needed. Failure to invest is an act of foolishness. If it is not easy to invest we must be forced to do so. We must give up some pleasures in order to invest.

Going into debt is contrary to the teachings of the scripture: debt makes the borrower a servant to the lender(Proverbs 22:7), and people in debt may not have the freedom to serve God freely. The resources that could have been used to serve God are lost to charges on debt.

Develop a generous Spirit: We must use our resources to take care of the needs of others. When we do this God's blessings of increase shall be available for us (Proverbs: 11:16,24&25). People who are blessed to provide for others should not withhold if they want continual access to God's riches. In God's economy, the best way to accumulate wealth is to share it with others. God repays those who meet the needs of others, and it is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35).

We must give cheerfully, and the more we give the greater we shall receive (2 Corinthians 9:6-11). Apostle Paul illustrated giving as an act of sowing which shall be reaped according to quantity sowed. If we expect God's blessing to continue we must sow what He has given us to the lives of others and give willingly to support His work. What we can give aside the tithe has no limit. Such offerings should not be given out of feelings of guilt or obligation. We are giving to meet needs and to appreciate God for His provisions. May God help us. Lesson texts: Proverbs: 3:9,10;11:16,24,25;13:11;22:7; Matthew 6:19-24; Luke 16:1-12; 2 Corinthians 9:6-11
Politics › Re: 2015: Alao-akala Picks PDP N3m Nomination Form For Oyo State Guber Race. by Rexyl(m): 2:14pm On Sep 21, 2014
makeitplain: As far as I am concerned, I believe Akala did better than Ajimobi. The general perception that Akala did nothing is a perception doctored by the opposition thru the media, In reality, it is not true. Akala did his best. Lets talk about construction opf major roads and using Ibadan as a case study

Ajimobi Dualised 1) Eleyele to Dugbe/Alesinloye Rd 2)Challenge to Lagos Express overhead bridge 3)Onireke Rd 4) Mokola Overhead bridge
Note
Onirekje Rd is less than or equal to 1 km while the challenge road is about 1 km or a little above that, I'm not so sure (its a distance u can walk in about 20 mins)

Apart from these, I dont know any other road constructed by Ajimobi in Ibadan metropolis

Akala Dualised 1) Molete-oke Ado to Dugbe - J Allen Rd 2) Dugbe to Queen's Cinema Rd 3) Ojoo to Mokola Rd 4) Abe Bridge Iwo Rd to Olodo Rd
5) AgodiGate - UCH Rd 6) Odo Ona Elewe express rd
Note
Dugbe to Queen's Cinema Rd is less than or equal to I km
Though Agodi Gate UCH Rd project was commissioned by the newly elected Ajimobi then, the outgoing government executed the project.
Except for Odo ona Elewe which was not completed, All other roads are still in good condition
So the general bandwagon statement that Akala roads are sub standard and have been swept away can never be true cos all the roads I mentioned are still in good condition and bear it in mind that the roads are about 6 years old now. How can they be substandard if after 6 years they are still in good condition?

The reason why I would score Akala better than ajimobi are as follows:
1)Akala was the 1st governor to raise the bar of road expansion and dualisation in Ibadan, the past 2 governors since '99 did not
2)Akala was the 1st governor since '99 to streetlight all major roads in Ibadan. Before Akala there were no street lights, he went as far as using generating set to light them during power outage just to be sure that the lights are on thru the nights
3)Akala was the governor that reintroduced traffic lights in major junctions in Ibadan Lam didnt, Ladoja didnt
4) Akala was the 1st governor to rejuvenate the public hospitals in Ibadan the yemetu hospital was a dilapidated smelly colonial building, u can see what it looks like now. Lam and Ladoja are both Ibadan guys but they did nothing, did they?

Ajimobi then criticized Akala's mega hospital project in Ogbomoso and annex in Oyo as a waste but we can see the massive structure what has he Ajimobi done to better Akala in health sector since 4 years? we can't see anything.

So the perception that Ajimobi is performing wonders, I don't know where it comes from. Oh! I think I know, The almighty Media, they think for u.
And the perception that Akala did nothing I dont know where it comes from Oh sorry the media again? They think for u.

At least Akala understands the imperative of allowing money to circulate in an economy and he did just that by empowering local service providers. when they are paid, the capital stays in the state and it will circulate to the common traders on the street. But Ajimobi on the other hand, we know how much has been said on his policy and capital flight and the result his evident. No money in circulation. So its unfortunate that today in Nigeria the electorate do not assess their candidates based on facts and figures, they go with sentiments or base their perceptions on media projections. Even at that, still ajimobi can't survive Akala's contention. The political situation as it stands has already edged Ajimobi out of office. And by then it would be apparent to all that Ajimobi plotted his own downfall by chasing everyone away and going to the polls using a one man army strategy. Nobody does that!
in addition all the completed federal medical centres during akala tenure but which were yet to be commissioned before his exit are no longer being attended to in some parts of the State. I wouldn't know why the current government doesn't open them for the public use.

I hail akala for so many projects he completed during his tenure esp those having to do with making permanent appointments available to the people of the State. All these are evident in health care delivery, schools and colleges, ministries and even micro finances among others. I won't know why many people could turn to be ungrateful going by many posts here. he really did his best in the State.

Likewise ajimobi is doing the best he could on infrastructure and security. instead of condemning and sweeping under the carpet the achievements of one administration while hailing the other people should do Justice in their analysis and accept the fact that different administrations would achieve different purposes. we better give credits due to various administrations because whatever they have done successfully will always be there for recorded purposes.

to say that akala did not achieve anything is mockery and big lies onto those spreading such. Likewise to say ajimobi doesn't perform would be an act of hypocrisy. people will always be drawn back if they hold onto falsehood. My observation is that many things are being spoiled while people in government are playing politics.

My observation on the road being dualised in Ogbomoso is that it is sub standard. this is to let those concerned rectify things they are doing wrong.

what is mostly needed is the ability of both parties to carry out responsibilities in and outside the family. The physical appearance may confuse the mind but the inner man should be mostly considered to make suitable or the best choice.

rafeelly: I stay in Ibadan I can tell u dat ajimobi is d best Oyo state has produced so far.. I wud vote him over and over again Buh ask for opinion of d masses I get Dis sensation running down my spine dat he may not win.. start from beere to oje to gate to Ojoo d way pple clamour for d return of akala is annoying.. I begin to wonder if dey want d state to move forward at all.. at the end am not surprised if even my uncle prefers him and he said "money flows wen akala was d governor" I don't knw what they mean by that... I pray he doesn't win

God bless Nigeria
Really money flowed during akala tenure and many were able to execute one project or the other of their own but during this time of ajimobi money freezes or may I say money is scarce o and it is like many are handicapped to continue with their projects. it is like money is being raked from all available places for the ongoing urban renewal project of the current administration. Though people continue to bear the suffering of inadequate cash in their accounts at the expense of the current road construction projects in some parts of the State, at least they can boast of strong and lasting infrastructure.

The governors are like a messenger sent by God for a purpose. Once the purpose has been achieved they are back to their closets. I thought akala is already in his closet soon to be followed by ajimobi, only if God wills that either of the two will come again as a governor after 2015 elections.
