Nairalanders! Una harsh oohh! Bros, Don't mind them. It's not confirmed if the girl is pregnant. Wait till she misses her next period then you can start panicking. The goal you think (fear) you've scored may be disallowed, after all. |
He's 27. At that age most guys are trying to make ends meet, get a good job, have as much fun as possible and break a few hearts in the process. You're also 27. That's the issue. At that age, most girls are ready to settle down. If I were in your shoes, I'll walk. Try for someone in his 30s. |
I have flown BA a couple of times before, and am yet to be maltreated by their crew. However, I have to state that the conduct of Nigerians in foreign airports is often embarassing and disgraceful to say the least. We are now calling on first class passengers and business class passengers and women with infants to board the plane, stampede!!!This only happens in any counter that checks out a Nigeria-bound flight. RESPECT HAS TO BE EARNED. LET'S EARN IT AS NIGERIANS. |
It's either he doesn't like your cooking and doesn't have the guts to tell you; Or he's scared you'll add some cognomi (I hope I got the spelling right) inside his food. Tell him to his face that this is what you think, and watch him wriggle out with some other excuse |
The fact that you already have another guy you intend to marry and you're still presenting this issue here implies you still have some fond feelings for your ex. If not, then send this topic straight to the jokes section. Concentrate! Focus! Forward ever! |
@bymya Women and men do have different hourglasses. Most women start thinking of marriage typically at 22-24. Most men do same at 28-32. I suggest you look out for single working-class men, ready to settle down. Your college hearthrob is exactly what he is, ur college hearthrob. When he graduates and gets a job, his choices and taste will change. The last thing on his mind now is marriage. He may not really want to use and dump you. He just doesn't think beyond 'boyfriend and girlfriend' level. Remember that this is Naija. In western countries, a guy at 18 is almost independent, gainfully employed (even without a college degree). Here in Naija, most guys at 30 are still grappling, trying to make ends meet, probably still living with their parents. No thanks to baaaaad condition. Marriage for most guys happens only after attaining some level of financial independence. So, cheer up and shine your eye for that mature guy also looking for you out there. Your boyfriend's wife is probably still in JS3, if you ask me. Seriously! |
Next thing, somebody will ban sex between singles Naija!! |
This would be a major milestone for Nairaland if this plane is found via info provided in this forum |
It's all about communication and getting the message. Men and women pass across and receive messages in different ways. Understanding and appreciating these ways and how they differ remains an on-going task in any successful relationship. |
Ain't nothing bad with dreaming occasionally. Some have lofty dreams Some ambitious dreams Some happy dreams Some nightmarish draems Some crazy dreams Some weird dreams Some wet dreams ![]() Bros, I cannot but agree with u. Your girls dont "match ur intelligent". They've probably surpassed it. If not, they should be falling for u; hook, line and sinker. |
To get fat, you may have to:
[li]increase ur dinner ration eat more of snacks and fatty stuff before going to bed think less sleep more[/li] [li][/li]
But the way you sound, I don't think you really want to get fat. Probably you want to add some meat in some strategic places for vital reasons. It could be a bit hard to get fat (especially if you have an endomorphic body build), but definitely difficult to lose it. So be careful of what you ask for. |
@Chaoga, I hope there is nothing about you that attracts these 'big bois'. Re-examine yourself: your carriage, the company you keep, places you go, what you wear etc. Remember that you are a student and please behave like one. You only have to do that for 6 years maximum. Do you have a rolex for a wrist watch?? Do you drive a BMW in school?? Do you wear a N30,000 shoe probably because your folks can afford it?? It's a free world I know. Free for you to do these things and free for them to harrass you (so long as they dont get caught) Also, try to join and participate in your church's/mosque's activities (if you belong to one). That may make you a jew man. Jew man also graduate, you know. Do not succumb to their demands. Most important of all, make sure you dont share common interests with them. Such interests include hangouts, joints and girlfriends (no offence meant to the ladies). I would report them to the school authority if there is a strong campaign against cultism in your school. If not, be careful who you report them to because you have no proof of that "threat" (your word against theirs). Aslo remember: Jew men and cultists have nothing in common. Most successful people I know today started out as jew men in school. As for Neoblack, his name and footnote says it all. |
Wonder shall never end. That's absolutely true. But for as long as my child remains a child, it is my responsibility as a parent to see to it that he/she heeds my call and respects me. That invloves going to church with me. He/she can decide to join a rock n' roll band for all I care, but that will happen when he/she has attained adulthood and is no longer under my direct supervision. In other words, such a person no longer feeds off my table. It is my house. My family. My domain. I (with my wife) call the shots. It is no democracy here. It is a monarchy. It is my duty and responsibility as a parent to provide my family with the very best that I can afford. If that child wants a democracy, he/she can as well pack and go live elsewhere, or join Barack Obama's campaign crew. I think our teenagers of nowaday should exercise some patience and wait till they attain adulthood before they start contributing their independent opinion to how the house should be run. This democratic attitude in the family is tearing a lot of families apart and bastardizing family values. Did I get that child's opinion and consent before I decided (together with my wife) that we are going to have children? I know i sound like a harsh father. But the very fact that I am the father/parent and that child is under 18 years, I legally, ethically and otherwise remain in control. So, she goes to church with me till she attains 18, and then decides what she wants from then on, including how to fend for herself. These are my thoughts anyway. |
Maybe Tupace should buy a simple and common car, say a Toyota Corolla. It would still take him anywhere he wants to go without attracting undue attention. And his records would still sell ![]() |

I need some advice here. With N500K and looking at portfolio security and short term gains-20-30% (6-9months), what stock would u advise I go for? |
What if CIV beats Mali, and Nigeria draws with Benin? |
If he smells, then discuss it with him. But be sure he will repel you at first and then realise that you may have a point. I suggest you lead by example, if you live together. Drag him along when you want to do your oral hygiene thingy. If you don't live with him, then let your next gift set suggest your opinion. But present this with subtlety and definitely when you're alone. Most men will repel you when you correct them. Good luck! You sure need it. |
Whose marriage is she discussing? |
Talk about being in between the devil and the deep blue sea Either way you go, you're dead. If the guy keeps many male friends, wahala. If he keeps many female friends, more wahala. Why dont you try to get close to these 'female friends'. You will be suprised at what you can learn from them about your 'boyfriend'. If you try to change this guy, it won't work. If you don't like the situation, get out of it. If you trust him, then let that be your guide. If you don't, then you shouldn't even call him your boyfriend in the first instance. |
Most couples consent to that; knowlingly or unknowlingly. How else can you explain child delivery six months after wedding? Let's be realistic. Some couples resort to that as a means of consolidating the marriage or arm-twisting domineering parents. Some women however resort to that in getting the man to 'hurry up and settle down'. While it goes against the 'no-sex-before-marriage-thingy', how many virgin brides, and grooms do we have these days? |
Big deal |
what a mum! lucky mum! Ever heard of blackmail? |
It is amazing how our individual activities affect people around us; including those who think your business is not their business and vice versa. For instance, how come a man stabs another to death, and all his neighbours (all of six families) proceed on compulsory holidays/temporary relocation? |
Thoughtful post by Orikinla. I amy not fully agree with all its content, but then it's a free world. |
