McKren Thanks a lot. I must be asking too much this time around, but do you by any chnace have the same video in windows media player version? My system has no Real Player and wouldn't allow me to download it (adminstration issues). |
The man must have paid someone to remove the interview from the whole www. Can someone prove me wrong here. Please!!!! |
Please does anyone still have a link to the interview granted by Orji kalu on Hardtalk? The one posted by Texazzpete does not work, anymore. |
I don't think there is a link between snoring and alcohol consumption. I have a friend who does not drink alcohol. When he sleeps, he sounds like a caterpillar. |
Quite an interesting array of comments from the house. I have been quite close to both parties, and I've followed their relationship keenly since inception, so I can reliably inform the house. Please note that both parties are very good friends of mine. I have never taken sides in this whole issue, and have tried when I can to talk to both of them. The girl has her own array of qualities: Good christian family beautiful ambitious young good prospects for a decent job (about to finish NYSC) a bit cold to most of the guy's friends (can't say if this is good or bad) History of the breakup The guy proposed to the girl a couple of days before christmas. The girl came up with stories of their incompatibility (characterwise). I, as an onlooker has always thought they fit like gloves. People, these guys have been dating for 4 years. The only difference between the two is the absence of a wedding ring, and the fact that they don't live together. When I spoke th the girl, she seems hell bent on quiting the affair, citing her inability to combine career and marriage as a reason. I spoke to a couple of her fellow girlfriends, who have admitted shocked beyond words at her decision. We've all been lining up for a swell wedding which may never happen. While the guy is a household name amongst the girl's sibblings and friends, the girl has found it dificult to warm up to the guy's family. Before you draw ur conclusion, the girl has turned down thrice before, offers from the guy's sibblings to come over for short weekend stays. Reason: BUSY, OUT OF Town etc. I hope this clarifies issues a bit for more constructive comments on the topic. |
This ain't no typo. Your girlfriend for 4 years dumped you days after you popped the question. Before you judge: He's intelligent and well educated He's got a 7-figure per annum job He's affectionate and down to earth He's turned down countless proposals and recommendations from family and friends He ain't no love-vendor. He's God-fearing He would make the ideal brother-in-law (if only I had a sister) Now this has happened and his whole world seems to have caved in at the moment. I need to cheer him up, but then I need the right words. |
Can I marry a former prostitute: No Reason: Because there's every chance she could one day (in my company) run into (literally) an ex-acquaintance. However, some guys will end up one way or the other (knowlingly or unknowlingly) getting married to a former prostitute/aristo-babe etc etc. Recall that Star, 33 and harp are still beer in different labels. It's mighty hard to tell the difference these days. Just because one peddles her goodies on Allen avenue, and the other delivers from her hostel to your door step (bedroom) doesn't alter the fact that it's sex (pre paid or post paid) |
Love (be it true or false) is what people feel (or think they do) for each other when they get to meet each other for the first time and feel like getting it on. Compatibility and understanding comes to the foreground when marriage and commitment stares them in the face. Ever wondered why best friends and lovers spend years exchanging the same old phrase (I love you), only for one party to remember (some years down the line) that they are not compatible even though they've been dating since Majek Fashek sent down the rain? If understanding and compatibility is made a criteria from the word 'go', most relationships will eventually get to its climax (blissful marriage). Love becomes part of the ingredient (others include understanding, committment, honesty, patience, tolerance, discipline) |
anastmary:Your CV looks ok. However if there were 100 CVs on your desk with yours, would yours stand out from the others? You need to highlight what you have achieved while carrying out the tasks you enumerated. KPMG wants outstanding candidates, not satifactory ones. You may belong to the former. You just need to bring that out in your CV. Remember, your CV is what the recruiter has with which to paint your first profile. Also check your spelling and font type. Go for Arial. |
Nightfall, Your name says it al :Dl. Your bright days are about to be clouded over by nightfall. Look at it from the other side. Your wife is not your wife but your younger sister, and married to another guy called daylight. Daylight comes onto Nairaland and tells us his balls itches so bad he feels like humping the next lassie that strolls along his way. And he seeks our opinion .What would you tell your sister's husband; your brother-in-law? The ball (not your balls) is in your side of the court. |
Married men run after young girls when they need to jerk off in a manner quite distinct and set apart from that which they can get FOC at home. |
I feel like playing devil's advocate here. Is it possible for one to get a job legitimately in Nigeria at the age of 20? Let's do the maths ![]() 20 - plum job 19 - corper shun (nysc) 18 - 400 level (no strike, private uni; 4-yr course) 17 - 300 level 16 - 200 level 15 - 100 level (UME was smooth sailing )14 - SS3 13 - SS2 12 - SS1 11 - JS3 10 - JS2 9 - JS1 (ok, let's forget PR6. I didn't need that myself) 8 - PRI 5 7 - PRI 4 6 - PRI 3 5 - PRI 2 4 - PRI 1 3 - nursery 2 2 - nursery 1 (on top of mama's breast )Abeg, where Ribadu dey? |
simmy:Cars are not meant to kill, but driving at 180km/hr surely will. sooner than later. A pint of beer is made to relax the nerves; a barrel will knock you out. It's all about moderation. Are you one of those that think Jesus changed water into non-alcoholic wine ?Wake up ![]() Ever heard of non-poisonous poison? |

It is wrong to work in a brewery or tobacco company , just as it is wrong:1. To work in a car manufacturing company because cars kill people and people die 2. To work in a government parastatal because government is corrupt and makes people to suffer and die 3. To work in an oil company because all they do is to pollute the environment; people inhale contaminated air, then get cancer and die 4. To work in a law firm. Lawyers condemn people to death. Remember the bible?? Judge not and you will not be judged. Condemn not, ![]() 5. To work in a pharmaceutical outfit. Ever tried to take 10 tablets of actifed at the same time. People, the list is endless. If your moral values prohibits you from working in BA Tobacco or NB PLC, then step aside and let some moral-less bloke to get a job and get paid. |
Before we nail the oil majors to the cross, The terms of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by the Government and the major oil companies in 2000 forms the basis for sharing oil revenues between the joint venture partners. NNPC maintains 6 Joint ventures. Under the terms of the MOU for one of the 6 JV agreement, the companies (including SPDC) receive a fixed margin within an oil price range of $15 to $19 a barrel. For example, at an oil price of $19 per barrel, the Government’s take in taxes, royalties and equity share is $13.78 per barrel. Of the remaining $5.22, operating cost and future investment take the lion’s share, with about $1.22 left to be shared as a margin among the private shareholders (Shell, Total and Agip). At $10 per barrel, the Government’s take falls to just over $5.12 per barrel, while the margin to be shared amongst the private shareholders reduces to 88 cents. At $30 per barrel, the Government’s take increases to $24.13 per barrel, while the margin shared by the private partners increases to $1.87. Today, oil is going for above $60 per barrel. This is the point to ponder when deliberating on the plight of the Niger Delta. If the oil majors are running a profitable business with comparatively so little, what about the FGN and her share vis a vis what we have going on in the N.Delta? |
amaka1:Pix ain't bad at all. Flat tummy and all. Well, just remember I asked first. ![]() No time to play patient dog here. ![]() Wonder what you think about the maggi cookbook I circulated earlier on |
Amaka, If that's really you on your profile, and you can actually cook all you've been posting, then where are all the eligibles on Nairaland? Wifey material (if she ain't taken already) ![]() |
start driving when ur legs can touch the pedals and ur eye view can see beyond the hood (without a pillow under ur bum bum) |
Okada comes in handy in cities and towns with bad roads. They do not have any business plying the streets of FCT. That's what taxi cabs are meant to do. The Okada riders should relocate and ply their business elsewhere (satellite towns and neighbouring villages). They can also relocate to PHC, Onitsha, Lagos; basically every other city in Nigeria where the road network is in shambles or simply does not exist) Yes, country hard. I know. That doesn't mean we should expose road users and bikers as well to the hazards caused by these Okada riders. None of them (absolutely none) learned formally how to ride a bike. |
Has anyone dragged him to court yet? Or can we send people staright to jail these days? |
Chavez may have made some good points. No doubt about that. However, whatever point he had to make had been masked by that childish openign remark. I think it is degrading on his part to refer to someone (a president at that) as a devil. Whatever happened to terms like terrorist, dictator, rebel, criminal etc etc. Some years down the line, he will feel like a fool to have that speech credited to him (a president in his own right). |
Afam:well-informed |
Seun:Not quite boss. Just delete the 'happy' part, make it 'my child' and not just 'a child', and bulls-eye. |
You'll know he ;likes you if: He'll miss a live premiership match to take you out on a rainy saturday afternoon after the clean-up exercise (sanitation) He buys you chicken and fried rice and ice cream, while he watches his weight on pop corn and soda water He'll send you an mtn card, and then call you minutes later from a phone-booth He'll jump the molue to your house, take you out on a drop, then join the molue back home |
Rawlings, You basically need one of two things: The money The mouthpiece (to front and make mouth and denge pose) I would go for the former. Nurture your career and get a good job. You'll definitely come back to this forum to ask for an antidote to ladies. |
That faith without good works is like a toothless bulldog. Just outside the church ( a coupla metres), I learnt that the moon has been on the top 10 most wanted list of some. |
elyaqoub:how serious?? As serious as Bin-Laden's rumoured death?? ![]() |
Ohh! This is fantastic. An Nigerian girl in space. Really!! In Florida?? Simulated?? Real?? Can we also conduct our elections in space?? maybe bundle OBJ and Atiku to the moon. How about stage a debate in space between Hugo Chavez and George Bush. |
