You are not the only Yoruba woman on NL, just see how taking the gibberish you read here seriously has turned you to a bigoted bitter person. If I did'nt grow up amongst Yoruba people, I would have thought that every yoruba woman is uncouth, bigoted and uneccessarily combative. You have never shown good example here on NL right from the time you were FL gators ( the prostituting persona that shared nude pictures of herself with every guy on NL) before you got bursted and disgraced by Platinumnk after you did thesame nonsense with her boyfriend, Theseeker or something. You changed name to ileke idi and took thesame trashy character to the politics section which was intellectually tasking only for you to turn to bigotry, tribalism and hate mongering as your own way of contributing to the section. When are you going to stop and get some real job, stop disgracing yoruba women, they are better, well mannered and cultured than than all these ghetto attitude you are always displaying here.....you prolly live in one of those American Ghettos cos you obviouly are ghetto and uncouth.....if you like reply me back in your usual manner but in your quite time try to think about it, NL is bringing the worse in you, it has turned you bitter and very hostile and bigoted. Thesame thing was happening to Bbkbaby before he too realized it and took a break off NL and attended to his problems. Na wa o!

Trust Me Dude, you are on your way to losing her. A woman that ask you for sex and you reject her will silently loathe your guts. You might not realize it now but it goes beyond religious creed. While there is so much myth surrounding $e.x in a relationship, its importance can't be disregarded and you will only realize that after you have had it yourself. Whether you believe it or not, $e.x takes a relationship into an intimate level of openess and sincerity that your religious belief will never bring out in the both of you. And trust me mate, it is important that you reach that level if you truely wish to marry her. It is not all about being nice to each other and verbally expressing your love, it is in the action, it is in the way your action conveys your emotions. Trust me, if you do not feel any sexual tension around her, it is a potent problem, you don't want to marry a woman you don't feel sexually attracted to cos in the end you will regret it and might end up being the one to cheat on her.
Finally, you need to be truthful to yourself if you are actually ready for a relationship and its demands. If you truly love her, you wont be selfish enough to expect her to wait for you until you are ready to marry her before she atually satisfies her sexual urge. That she is even asking it from you without minding how religious the both you are about your relationship shows that she loves you and wants you to be the one to make her a woman and take the relationship to a whole new level of openess. If you are not emotionally there with her be honest and tell her to look for somebody else, if she is yours she will come around.

Dating And Meet-up Zone › Dentist Removes Her Ex-boyfriend’s Teeth by rhymz(op): 1:04pm On May 01, 2012
I’m conflicted. It’s a philosophical debate on par with determinism versus free will or Xavier versus Magneto. Can this woman really be deemed a “crazy ex”? Here are the facts: Anna Mackowiak is a dentist in Poland. Her ex-boyfriend, who left her for another woman, had a toothache. He went to his scorned ex and asked her to pull the tooth for him. But while Marek Olszewski was under anesthesia, Dr. Mackowiak preceded to pull every tooth out of the man’s mouth. Go ahead and let that sink in for a minute. This man no longer has any teeth. Listen, we’ve spent a lot of time here at The Gloss debating men’s use of the term “crazy” when it comes to females who express emotions. I think our Editor-In- Chief, Jennifer Wright, explained things brilliantly. Normally, “crazy” is just code for “having emotions that the man was uncomfortable with.” In this circumstance, Anna obviously had some resentment towards her ex, which I can understand. It can be really difficult to have someone choose another woman over you. It damages your confidence. It breaks your trust. It can leave you angry and hurt. This woman had every right to those feelings. By waltzing back into Anna’s office and just expecting her to treat him like any other patient, Marek was obviously disregarding his ex’s feelings and possibly rubbing his choice in her face. Not to mention, what type of serious idiot goes under anesthesia with an ex-girlfriend whose still mad at you? I feel like that level of stupidity is really begging to have something horrible happen. But we have to keep going back to the fact that this woman didn’t just “accidentally” pull his front two teeth instead of the molar with a cavity. She removed every tooth in his mouth. All of them. He will wear dentures from now on. She also faces criminal charges and will never practice dentistry again, at least not legally. Her hatred for her ex just ended her career. That’s a level of intensity that might just warrant the whole “crazy” label. I feel like Marek might be one of the few men on the planet who really has the right to slur, “At itch iz cwazy.” Yea, that’s what I imagine you would sound like without teeth. I came up with it by trying to talk with my lips covering my teeth, so it’s not an exact translation or anything. Then again, if the man who just broke my heart was lying unconscious in front of me and I was pulling one tooth out of his mouth, I think I can understand the intense need to just keep pulling. I bet it was cathartic for dear Anna. I bet she thought of every mean and horrible thing he had done as she pulled those bicuspids and incisors. But yea, she’s probably a little bit crazy. What do you think? Justifiable revenge or Fatal Attraction level insanity?

Religion they say is the opium of the people. I have some questions to ask and I hope some of his fanatical followers will be level headed enough to answer them or atleast ponder over them. 1. Are these businesses owned by the church or are private business concerns of the "Pastor?" Several times Oyedepo has been asked if he owned these businesses, his answers have always been dodgy and hazy; at some point he is vague about the ownership and at another he makes statements that put him as the owner. To even strengthen this belief, he is usually the CEO of most of these businesses, this raises the question, is it ethical and morally right for a pastor to own businesses outside of his church, this is more pertinent if you consider the fact that his pastors are not allowed to do thesame, they are usually full time pastors with no other means of survival than the church. 2. Is it not exploitative and fraudulent that a pastor who solicited for funds from the members of the congregation will turn around only to channel it into his private business concerns. It is a shame that christianity has been debased to this level where it is no longer about God's Love and compassion for us again but man's quest for power and authority. There's no more soul to christianity worship, it is now about wealth aquisition with zero consideration for the welfare of the less privileged, survival of the fittest is the life lessons being promoted in their sermons( and you wonder why Nigerians are into all sorts of crimes and corruption). Pastors and their indoctrinated followers now blame the poor and underprivileged for their condition and damn them when decisions are made. Christianity without soul that is what it has generated to.... What is the point attending these churches when there is a glaring fraud going on in its dealings, no transparency or accountability, fanatical members give the pastors the impression of infallibility and God-like omniscience. God knows I will never path a kobo to these bible wielding Con-stars, and I will discourage anyone tha wants to....why continue to give your widow's might to a man that has so much but gives very little in return, in fact, like a writer once opined, Oyedepo should not only preach to others about the miracles of giving and given one's widow's might, he should be seen to give and give and give until it hurts him that is the whole Idea of widow's might. Obviously, the man only likes to talk about it but dreads to do so. It is a shame that the Church has become so bastardized and turned into a business. God forbid i will give a dime to these conmen in the name of God.

meksmewo: The word christianity could be define as "being christ like". If this is true then I am 100% sure that there are only few christians in the world especially in Nigeria (I am judging no one). I said this cos I know the "Men of God" who were supposed to follow the steps of Christ and guide us through this wicked world have turned to the wicked ones.

I am sure that if Christ were to be on earth and headed the ministry himself he won't do the following;

1. He won't ride on four private jets with the last one valued at about $30million even if they came as seeds and tyths.
2. He won't buy properties with money generated from the altar, he will move round and affect lives.
3. He won't run an institution, he is sure 95% of his congregation cannot afford.
4. He won't run a publishing company from offering and tyths and still sell the prayer book back to the congregation.
5. He won't go about displaying pride of wealth when some members of his congregation dies of hunger and abject poverty.

But there are a few things I am sure he wiill do;

1. He will use all the resources he gets from the vineyard to affect the lives of the people and prove to young sould that the church is the safe haven and not evil shrine where they go for help.
2. I am sure Christ will set up a school where brainy kids of even the poor will attend for free wit best quality to shame the devil.
3. I am sure that in all honesty and humility, he will live in a modest house, with basic security and adequate mobility without any pageantry and pride while he goes about his good works.
4. I am also sure that no member of his congregation will die in d hospital for a bill as low as N50,000 while he drives in a private jet and wear expensive suits.
5. I am sure he won't be screaming "Blessed in the morning, afternoon and night" he will say "repent and make heaven"
6. Above all, his name will not be on any list as one of the richest men.
My brother you are not wrong at all, in fact, you said the exact truth. People like me irked by the type of scam going on in churches these days no longer see the need to attend churches.
I realy do not blame people who are fanatical and often times resort to cursing those of us that are calling a spade a spade without minding whose ox was gored cos I understand that these MOGs read mind control/conditioning books; what better avenue does he need to psychologically program en masse his congregation than to have them seated at his 50,000 faith tabernicle auditorium where he executes his mind reading, control and conditioning experiment on them. After the mass suicide in Jonestown, it was revealed in some quarters that contrary to the stories of mass suicide that was rife in the media, the whole thing was a CIA mind control/programming experiment that went bad and Jim Jones may have been a CIA agent executing an experiment on his "congregation". As ridiculous as this might sound, one thing that can't be easily ruled out is the evidence of mind control antics and psychological mind programming and conditioning that could have led to such a climax. None of us here have any personal beef with Oyedepo but we all have a problem with what he and his likes have turned christianity to. There is no more ethics in what MOGs do again, they employ all sorts of mind programming and control antics synonymous with intelligence organizations like the CIA,FBI.... and so on, on their congregation in the name of preaching the gospel. Have we all noticed how the gospel is now for sale for a profit? Ok, check this out, you go to a service, the pastor preaches and then the next sunday or so, there is already a DVD for the previous sunday's preaching being sold at a price not to cover the production cost but at a profit which will be going directly into the pastors private pocket. Imagine videos of the leader preaching in his church on a certain topic being sold at a profit. Let me ask you a question, is it ethical for a leader who has been paid by his church to prepare and deliver a sermon, to then take that performance and sell it back to his own church members for a healthy profit? I'm not talking here about paying for reproduction costs or the money going into church funds. I'm talking about DVDs being sold at the same cost as a movie DVD and the profit going into the leader's own pocket.
To show you that these MOGs have perfected their mind control method of preaching; you only need to observe how defensive, sometimes abusive and the illogical rationilization employed by his mind controlled followers. I don't blame them cos if I had allowed such brainwashing and indoctrination through reading his books, listening to his audios, watching his visual and attending his mass indoctrination services in Ota, I will do thesame and curse out any dissenting opinions. That is the power of mind programming and indoctrination, it will only take the grace of God to open their minds. After reading excerpts from the audio record of the final rituals of the jonestown massacre which cos of space I wont add it here but will do it in my next post, I can only imagine the level of mind control/programming that Jim Jones congregation had been subjected to. No wonders Oyedepo's followers are not any different, it will take the grace of God, I must say to make them see what is going on in their church and with christianity at at large.

johnwell: my sister, God bless you; don't mind all these blind nigerians with their poverty padded mindset. The are too blind to appreciate the light, may darkness over shadow them. I hear some fools talking about offering: how much offering can they offer? In winners offering is not by force, that's why they don't dance around for offering, rather sacks or baskets are passed round. There is nothing like fund raising or any financial service in winners chapel. Winners have one of the best and cheapest private universities in this country. For their information, He's working towards building one in Ghana and UK... The fact is that no matter their poverty oriented accusations, this Great man still moves higher.
How old are you by the way? Seriously, if you have got no fact and intellectual capacity to make an argument or contribute to a discussion it is better your dont bother instead of revealing sheer ignorance and unbridled fanaticism that defiles common sense.
Convenant University for your information is not any cheap in comparison with other private schools in its league in this country. Neither is it affordable for even a middle class family.
Before you type your mumbo-jumbo make sure it is grounded in facts and not
!d!otic regurgitation of baseless assertions. I have an excel sheet of their school fees and I have it on good authority that they are not the cheapest, in fact, the are amongst the costliest. Another fact to note is that these fees are paid per semester and not even per session as some of us think.
The least school fees CU collects from the excel sheet which has a compilation of fees charged is #345,000,000 for students studying french, Industrial Relation and HRM and this is per semester although it is not indicated there but I learnt it is per semester.
Meanwhile my cousin studying Economics at Madona University pays around #210,000,000 per semester which in CU goes for #370,000,000, so how and where did you get your claims of them being the cheapest? Before you type anything to post try to understand the crux of the argument instead of resorting to curses amd abuses because your "Papa" is being criticized. And yes, at the early stages of building CU members of the church were asked to contribute to the building of the school. You can ask the real devoted members if you doubt me. Thesame apeal for finance was also asked when they were building the library. Yes nobody physically forced anyone to donate but of course we all know how our pastors indirectly cajole the congregation into giving. These are facts my dear not some emotional outburst.

CyberG: For starters, I am not Oyedepo's mouth piece. Here: I think the level of intellectual discourse is declining so fast among most Nigerians and pathetically in Ife - certainly not the Great Ife I attended just a few years ago. Mr. Man, use your brain and answer the following questions:

1. Can you tell us how missionary schools of those days was funded? Teachers, principals, janitors, etc were hired and paid, did they work for free and if not, who paid to run the school?
I will like to point out to you the faulty basis on which you have hinged some of your arguments and how unwittingly contradictory they are.
1. Starting from the concept of building the school, it was believed to be a missionary school and as such will be run that way. Missionary in the sense that they have a mission: a mission to bring quality and affordable education guided by religious principles, and Let's not forget that at the early stages of building the church, the entire congregation was asked to make contributions to the development of the school, giving them a false hope that at least they were directly or indirectly going to be beneficiaries. I do not think it is misplaced anger if the underprivileged section of the congregation and Nigeria as a whole register their displeasure at the way they have been cut off from the scheme of things in the end. CU as it is run is a private business concern with profitability as its most important motive contrary to what hardcore supporters may want to believe.
Don't get me wrong, I understand that is extremely capital intensive to attain quality, high standards and maintain such but there has to be creative ways to raise funds and swell their endowment pool so they wont have to resort to over the top school fees that can only be paid by a selected few. They should take examples from American Universities and how they raise funds for their schools.

1. Can you tell us how missionary schools of those days was funded? Teachers, principals, janitors, etc were hired and paid, did they work for free and if not, who paid to run the school?

2. If kids and people wept day and night to get into university, it means among other things that opportunities (or spaces) in school is limited. So for example, these days >1 Million students need to find places in university and assuming even a 50% were admissible after passing, are there enough schools and course of their choice available? If not, whose job is it to build schools, equip and run them? If the person has not done his job properly for > 20 years, and YOU yourself have NOT built even a nursery school yet, do you have a right to complain or rather commend someone who does?

3. Do you know that Oyedepo works harder than you have ever worked all your life, has a wife and kids and assuming (just assuming) he had so much money, who should he take care of? His family or millions of Nigerians who let thieves steal their commonwealth while defending them?

4. If you score high marks (I mean not just merely attain minimum passing scores), you will be admitted. Even in foreign universities (and I know what I am talking about 'cos I've been there), you are told explicitly that attaining and surpassing the minimum requirements is NOT a guarantee for admission. Even in a course, scoring 90% will not necessarily mean you get an A because if most of your other classmates are scoring 99.5%..99%...98% and class average sits at 94%, you could be staring down a D or E very easily.
2. While I agree with you that we need more tertiary institutions to cater for the huge number of secondary school levers that look for admission every year, I do not neccessarily believe that building elitist Universities will do or has done much to bridge that gap. Let me use your own figures and demonstrate my points: what is the use if less than 10% from your 50% admissible applicants are the only ones that can afford the cut throat school fees? Such progress is negligible and exploitative as it digresses from solving the problem but instead exploit it. And that is what these new host of church owned private schools have done and are still doing, they have left the task of helping the government better our education standards and have instead created their own exploitative empires knowing very well that our options are very limited. Let us face it, government can't do it all alone, they need the support of everyone, every organization, every religion and every government agency and so on. Our public schools are decaying because of our noncommittal attitude towards public structures, facilities and institutions, instead we are all exploiting its decadance and worsening it. Everything is now capitalist in nature to the extent it has surreptitiously crept into the church, yes, cos your importance to the church these days is based on your financial commitments to the church.
3. Whatever point you were trying to make here went over my head, sounded personal but I like to correct the notion of him taking care of his family alone, that was downright selfish a statement to make especially when one has to consider we are talking about a man of God whose wealth and ministry has largely depended on people's benevolence and philantropy. Imagine if everyone looked out for their family and damn everyone else, i doubt winners or CU would have been this successful.
4. I agree with whatever it is you were saying here even though I know understand sha...lol
Anyway, the summary of what I am trying to say is that as a church run school with supposedly very different mission; profitability, quality and standard should not be their sole aim or take a driver seat, inclusivity and to an extent welfarism should be given better consideration as they set to accomplish their mission.

While I commend the MOGs efforts I can't help but wonder why most of his interventions are elitist in nature. I mean, if this is all about improving standards, investing in Nigeria's future, building a burgeoning group of quality Nigerian leaders then there should be less emphasy on profitability and more on inclusivity not neccessarily based on welfarism. While it can be argued that quality education at tertiary level is cost intensive and almost impossible for everyone, we must be careful not to sacrifice inclusivity-even at this level-just so there can be room for quality. The problem most of our tertiary institutions have is lack of management creativity and specialization. Our management ideologies are greatly flawed just like the argument of stating that quality education is only possible if it is made available to the privileged few that can afford. If you take a good look at the American Universities in particular and the way they are run, you will see that these Universities have huge endownment fund not entirely or neccessarily from huge school fees or other traditional means of raising funds. Rather the managements of these Universities employ creative fund raising techniques that swell their endowment pool which in turn gives them greater economic stability and independence thus improving their quality and general standards, that way the cost of attainin and maintening standards is not hugely borne by the students. American Universities even seek for funds from the private sector, many of their Universities have development offices with both part- time and full-time staff that specialize in raising funds for the Universities through many techniques. Some Ivy League Universities even sell bonds to raise funds that is how they are able to raise their quality and standards without neccessarily charging cut throat school fees that makes their schools a luxury for the wealthy or super rich alone. In our own case here, the idea of a private University carries thesame old long redundant idoelogy with striking similarities with the way we run our private secondary schools where parents, sponsors and guardians always indirectly and almost entirely bear the brunt of the cost effects and processes of keeping and maintening standards and quality. If truly as these churches claim; they are building a legion of Universities that will raise quality and standards and bring it to Nigerians there by improving education in Nigeria as opposed to the orthodox idea of building a private University limited by funds only to charge exorbitant school fees that can only be paid by a very few thereby contradicting the very essense of setting up the University then we need to see some sincerity of purpose in their efforts. Currently as it is now, none of these church owned Universities are leaving up to their claims, they seem more to be verging on the idea of profit making than bettering any cause. Until an average Jo like me and very many Nigerians start seeing genuine efforts and sincerity of purpose in their claims, people will continue to sneer at their efforts and to some extent they will be justified.

drills: This is great news, a church bringing great reforms that will cause nations to marvel. And for those who think 450k is expensive for a session u better ask of the average fee for kindergatten kids in Lagos per term. May God continue to bless each and every contributor who is making this happen wow
I understand your unbriddled passion for your "papa" but please do not comment if you lack the mental power to make informed argument. It makes no common sense to claim or try to justify the huge school fees charged by these church owned Universities by lying that kindergarten schools in Lagos state charge above that. Are you for real? Do you understand the enormity of such a daft claim? Which kindergarten in Lagos state does that?

stagger: It should be made cheaper abi?
How much is the school fees of a UK or US university? Even in Sweden where tertiary education was tuition free, fees were introduced 2 years ago for non-EU students and the average is now 20,000 Euros per session.

We want quality standard education but are not ready to pay for it. Anyone who wants cheap education can go to the public schools. We are of course seeing the performances in WAEC and NECO as a testament to what public school education has turned to.

Instead of criticising the high school fees of private universities, why not advocate that the Fed Govt ditch the idea of selling off the Unity Schools, and fund them appropriately?

THERE IS NOWHERE IN THE WORLD PRIVATE EDUCATION IS CHEAP. So stop living in dreamland!
Guy, you are contradicting your own claims. Sweden still made education affordable at least for her citizens abi?
What is the point of claiming to build Universities that will raise standards and give quality education when the school fees charged are way beyond the reach of an average Nigerian?
Let's be realistic here, how many decent Nigerians with decent jobs can afford to pay 450k per session for their wards in school? Imagine a parent that has say 3 childrien in such University? Will such parents not be under serious financial pressure that will force him/her to compromise and indulge at their work place? Yet, we want to eradicate corruption, give equal opportunity access to quality education and standards.
Let's be real, most of these church owned Universities springing up are for profitability and not neccesssarily to better or improve any particular cause, neither are they genuinely interested in most of what they claim will be solved by the creation of this Universities.
It is even folly to argue against inclusivity and welfarism just to make room for quality and standards when the main claims of setting up these universities border on social reforms and improving standards. Let's not make it look like high school fees automatically means quality education, I understand the need for funds to drive in projects and better the standards but such cost does not have to be entirely borne by the students. The managements of these schools should look for creative ways to raise funds for University so they wont have to resort to exorbitant school fees all the time.
