mzmeeday: How mean can people be, moving this pregnant snake to a safer location is better than killing it, wasting all those lives. This is animal curelty, a pregnant snake couldnt have pose any threat, why kill it when you can just move it away, far far into the wild maybe. The rate at which we kill snakes very soon snakes would be extinct in africa. I quite agree with you but not this dangerous specie. Rather we should spare the pythons more instead of killing and eating them. |

Why do we always like to turn a blind eye to reality? You know the answer deep down in your heart yet you want embrace the lie. Isn't it obvious to you that you are the only one in love and in haste to marry a lady that isn't ready for marriage yet? She hasn't really lived her life to the fullest and experienced life. You can't deny her of that. If you force it, you will surely cry tomorrow. However, if you are so desperate to get married, reach out to ladies that are ready in mind body and soul. When you meet ladies that are ready to settle down you will recognize them. Of course you have intuition to guide you. If you insist on the said lady, the marriage may be on her terms while you have to endure all through. Dem nor dey use money take buy wahala. Sword is enough. keyman0007: Why do ladies like to pretend to be confused, when in the actual sense they know what they are doing, and what they want. It jut so annoying.
So this year i raise the marriage thing with my lady and she is like she wants to go for masters, that i should come see her parents then we do an introduction of some kind and she leaves, I told her a masters in the UK will mean i will wait till December 2017 to get married if she goes to a UK school and maybe 2018 if its a US or canadian school. I told her i am not trying to tie her career down, that why doesnt she go to LBS, since its an MBA she wants to do. I also discussed with my folks who are also desperate and they were like i should forget her she isnt the only lady in the world. what the guarantee if she goes she will not see someone else.
Sha i pulled out of the relationship and began to search again. only for her to come back and say she is sorry, she has reflected about every and that she is ready for marriage. Cos i liked her i dumped all other female admirers i had began to develop relationships with . I told her again about the LBS master and even told her that i am willing to allow her go do her masters oversees after we get married long as her dad will be willing to pay. Or if God blesses me i can sponsor it. She said she is ready for marriage even if i proposed today.
Sha with her change in position i decided to go see her parents in Lagos, the dad was receptive but the mum seem abit tough, wanted to knw what i did for a living and dall that. I then go see her uncle in Abj. I also told my folks she is having a rethink on the masters thing, that soften my parents. I then invited her to my place. She met my parents they really like her. she also met my siblings as well. My father even called her dad self and they seem to have started getting along.
Only for this babe to begin to say she will submit her school application to fulfill all righteousness. Then 2 days back she says i need to go see her folks to make my intentions. Then she is like she thinks she shd go for her masters now and brought the whole introduction story up again. That we should do introduction and then she travels. I told her i think she is trying to trap me, she is trying to trap me, We have been in a relationship for 2 year no kisses, no sex we even rarely hug. i am 28 she is 22. It is either she goes for her masters and then if she is still single when she returns am i also still single then we get married. It is nt heard of, in my culture. She is not even considering doing it in LBS.
We are not talking at the moment. I am thinking of a way to break this news to my folks. cause they have already started seeing her as my wife. I have told her i wont move an inch further in the relationship if she cant tell me what indeed her plan her. it is either she goes overseas or does it in Nigeria and if it is overseas am nt giving any commitment.[/font]
IT just so annoying. |

Rape alone is evil talk less of raping his daughter. The scars, the emotional murder? The society suffers more from that man's actions. He needs to be admitted at yaba left immediately. Then we are as much as doomed! I blame Nigerians for this. We couldn't just see the battle between unpatriotic and greedy cabals and the government. They hoard and punish Nigerians and we in turn face the govt and condemn the govt. Cabal at work. This time they will go back to the till and steal us dry if care is not taken. The same thing GEJ was trying to remove when we all shouted and cried wolf. Meanwhile the cabals were flossing at our ignorance. What have they not tried? Dollars? Fuel scarcity? Blowing of pipelines? You can insult the president all you want but truth remains, Nigeria needs a revolution. No matter how visionary our president is, we need a followers hip that is patriotic, purposeful, informed and willing to make Nigeria great. May the saboteurs in high places never find peace. |

Let me tell us all what this is trying to say. They are trying hard to make fuel supply work in nigeria yet the greedy Nigerian businessmen are fighting against it. They've tried removing subsidy yet the cabals are fighting hard to retain their thievery and crooked ways. They charged the refineries to work yet the mindless and senseless militants blew up the pipelines down south. Who's loosing? Are we not pur own enemies? So since we say we don't want to move forward, if they get the refinery up north to work and the pipelines secured why not? In case we haven't noticed, serious efforts are being made to frustrate progress that will benefit the common man and most of these evils are done by a greedy set of businessmen who will rather sacrifice the head of Nigerians for their business to thrive. The battle is still on. My fear is that many Nigerians can't see beyond the veil. |

Honestly, I think the Army has been infiltrated since the days of GEJ. The ex president once said every fabric of the govt had been infiltrated by this BH people. Isn't it possible they are still present in the system? The bad side to this is that we may never hear anything or see the end of this latest happening. DaBullIT: Sorry this may sound insensitive
But now is not the time to grieve
He was kidnapped, tortured and killed ( story said his body was bloodied !)
Shouldn't Nigerian Army tighten their grips ?
Because i think there are two things involved
If he was kidnapped by BH , they probably got information out of him, sensitive information , armory , location, Operation plans e.t.c which may be detrimental to Nigeria's security
On the other hand if he was killed by a fellow army member , they probably killed him because he knew something, an internal investigation should be conducted and soon or else a big conspiracy might be in place ( probably corruption related) |

It is well. I understand the feeling. In that situation, our inner eyes just opens to see that this material world is nothing. One cannot have such an experience and still hold on to grudges, quarrels, fights and other vanities. Indeed there is a life after this life. Otsealu1: Mine was on the second of January this year. I was travelling to Delta state from Benin. When the bus started the journey, i just brought out my phone and started playing music with the ear piece on then rested my head on my hand at the back of the seat in my front. But to God be the glory that i woke up with pain on the third day to find myself in the hospital with my family members around me all jubilating thanking God for bringing me back to life because my situation was so critical that the first hospital i was taken to in Agbor rejected me and referred me to Uniben teaching hospital. But to God be the glory that today am a living testimony. In fact when i heard the number of people that died in that vehicle, i cant help but keep thanking God for sparing my life. I remembered before i left for that journey that day, i called my mum to ask for forgiveness for disobeying her instruction on a family issue sha and she told me that she has forgiven me and prayed seriously with all her heart for me and God honoured that prayer and kept me alive |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: My Near Death Experience by richiepolymer(m): 4:58pm On Mar 28, 2016 |
Jengbetiele: MY NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE This time last year, my life flashed in front of my eyes. It was the closest near death experience I’ve ever had. My folks will say if the death that ought to kill someone end up shaving your head, then one should have every reason to be grateful. I had an interview appointment with KPMG in Lagos, so I had to travel all the way. Unfortunately, I was involved in a road crash on the popular Lagos/Ibadan highway.
From the onset, I had this uneasy feeling because the bus made a loud sick creaky sound when it was started at the park. As a matter of fact, its rickety looks was baffling than usual. But waiting for the next bus wasn’t an option. The probability of missing my interview was 90 percent putting the steady traffic into deliberation. Or should I say I prioritized KPMG’s offer than my own life. A risk I will never take again.
Just about an hour into the journey, we were out of the city in the middle of absolutely nowhere. I could feel the bus forcefully pick up speed as we cruised down the pothole ridden highway. We were going pretty fast at about 100km per hour. The mere thought of the rigors I was going to go through in Lagos as the sun arose from its slumber made me exhausted from within. That informed my decision to get some sleep as I fell slowly into slumber.
I was just about dreaming about myself in 3pieces Italian suit repping KPMG and travelling all over at KPMG’s call, attending world class trainings and conferences beyond the shores of Nigeria, applying all the special graces, etiquettes and poise learnt from school of poise during business dinners and meeting tall beautiful and brilliant career ladies. As I imagined my radiantly glowing future with KPMG, I felt a smile on my gentle face.
Then all of a sudden I heard a very deafening bang from behind… dearest brethren the rear tire blew out (bursted) on motion and immediately the jostle for the steering began as one of the passenger seated by the driver was either competing or helping the driver to have that much needed life saving grip on the steering. Everyone started shouting Mohammed, Jesus, Ifa as the bus swerved left and right simultaneously on the road with death lurking at the corner. Babies were crying as mothers called out to their children. That moment, my calmness superseded that of River Oni in Efon Alaaye Ekiti state. That innate fear of death we were all born with just vanished, and nothing really mattered any more. But the thought of how they are going to deliver my dead body to my family petrified me. I could visualize my brother or my sister already claiming my body in tears. I pitied the struggles of my parents but what do I do? I muttered to myself Mum, Dad, and Siblings….this is where it all ends. I love you so much. I wanted to reach for my pen to write down my own epitaph but I could not find my pen.
I began to wonder what becomes of all my mahogany tall dreams of the future I have always envisioned. So condolence registered will be opened? Just like that? I thought I was going to be another case of many that were born talented but die unknown. That moment I knew the whole lot that makes us human is just pure vanity. I had no choice than to close my eyes with the expectations of opening them in the afterlife.
The driver applied break and then bus tumbled off the road, rolled down by the side twice and fell into a mini cliff around shagamu. It was such a gory sight to behold. I thought I was going to die. The chilly breeze on my body was the best thing I’ve ever felt. I was so grateful that I wasn’t even injured at all. I was the first to get out alive unaided before people came to the rescue. Some people were carried off in Frsc truck designated as ambulance almost breathless as they fight against death unconsciously.
I realized two people were trapped inside the bus. In fact, I wanted to sit where they were seated, but I changed my seat twice by divine arrangement. I wasn’t certain if they made it out alive, because I didn’t stay long enough to find out. I left the scene and got picked up by a Good Samaritan that was heading towards my destination. It is a pity our government really do not value the life of her citizens. If they really do, every bus in our parks would have been monitored and regulated before every trip. In fact, the sight of some of them is enough reason for a life impoundment.
Nonetheless, this experience has taught me never to forsake myself at the expense of anything again. I should not have cared about getting late for the interview or even missing it. If I had died, KPMG will not pay me a kobo because I am not even an employee yet. I have learnt to appreciate the people around me the more.
To everyone reading this right now, please take a second to appreciate everything in your life. Tell your parents you love them. Call your best friends for hook up sometimes. Because you never know what can happen unpredictably. “May we not travel whenever the highway is hungry” like my folks would pray. I thank God for sparing my life and I still made it to the venue of interview that same day on time and passed. My friends said I should have gone back home immediately after the accident though. Similar experience happened to me in February this year. A big Daewoo bus (comrade bus) veered off its lane and swerved towards us and bang!!!! I was sitting in the front with the driver. Honestly ......I cried seeing those who gave up the ghost as help didn't come. Immediately, my life started playing like a movie before my eyes. Several questions started running through my mind. Was I proud of the life I had lived in the past? I saw another wicked part of Nigerians in behaviour. They approach the accident scene and say eyaa....they take photos and zoom off! Even the police refused to help accident victims. FRSC and NSCDC showed up later to help. For respect of the departed, I refused to take photographs of any lifeless body or bleeding victim just the bus wreckage. Let me tell us all, nobody knows the minute his number will be called. The earthly death does not need anybody's permission to knock on his door. When the time comes even our conscience starts judging us immediately, especially when you know you haven't lived right. I had a second chance, I know what I felt and vowed to totally disconnect myself from all earthly vice that has been a limitation to me. Fellow nairalanders, hmm.....a word is enough. |
