I used to think that some of this people do reason before typing or going social media..

If people are not much for the rally, does it not mean they were engaged somewhere and being productive?.. how does number of people that came for a rally actually affect vote counts...

Many online have read the manifesto of many parties, why go and roast under the sun or got beaten by the rain?

Good question. I believe to achieve what he has said, it will be a collective effort.
I agree with you...We that shares Nigerian passport and identify might have a good president.. in fact an angelic president...

But when the people... Or let us say the majority are fantastically corrupt, that will bring him ( the Angelic president) down to ground level zero...

I wish that as we are all clamoring for good governance, management and Development in the country,. We change our behaviours as well.. so that we would know when to hold the ruling power accountable and when we the citizens can identify our own fault as well..

Just thinking aloud.. What if Nigeria have a good president that sticks to his promises but the people around him.. including ordinary people on the street of Nigeria including civil servants are deep into corruption and shady dealings, how will that affect change?

As for the wife, I am trying to understand why she is acting the way she is if the story is true. At 21 she has 4 kids and she isn't scared of starting all over again when the real start over she needs is how to build her life and earn a decent living for her family.

Some people should know what to post on predominantly African website in my opinion...
How many blacks uses sunscreen for example?..
U can't just fetch Oyibo write ups meant for them alone and dump it here making people to be unnecessarily worried...I don't think it's applicable....

We used to discuss this issue Wayback in Uni with my friends but they don't always agree with me... Most times I felt like John the Baptist..a lone voice in the wilderness.. embarassed

When a woman said No.. she was not into you.. just let her be.. That was always my stance..If u ask her twice and she maintains her stance, just Waka pass...But my friends always disagree...Saying it was an African women thing to do Shakara...I am not against that but two times is enough...I know that every reasonable individual knows whom he/ she wants to be with without so much persuasion...why waste persuasive skills on someone that loves another?

OP, you and I knows that you will never trust her again.. even if she pleads for forgiveness..
And anytime she says honey Na 4PM I dey show.. and due to traffic, she arrives at 4:15PM.. U and I knows where your mind will be going within that space if 15mins...

In my Opinion, I will suggest that you leave the house for 3 days to think.. where no one will disturb you, persuade you, distract u or emotionally blackmail u.... After 3day, comeback.. whatever u decide, good , ..If u want to kiss and make up great!!.. do it and mean it without revisiting the issue... But if trust is dead and you think there's nothing to salvage... U know what to do..

Peradventure u want to try the three days solitary program, please stay off Nairaland especially this thread to avoid Home Wreckers association Nairaland chapter influencing your decisions.. Good luck buddy..

Judging by what you wrote there, honestly you might not know what the truth was even if it's staring @ you in the face..

There are wonderful women here who knows what WRONG is all about and they condemn it wholeheartedly...therefore calling it a spade..

And there are some here who are interested in GENDER CARDS, soliciting for sisterhood support no matter what even when it looks embarrassing,...they don't know how ridiculous they sound most times because truth was never their thing.. embarassed

OP do not be offended that some people were naturally curious... I believe that many have used this means to avenge one vendetta or the other leading to deliberate attempt to destroy someone's reputation...But If your story is genuine,

Nigeria has 36 states and Capital if I am correct.. It would have been really easy if the state where your sister was last seen was made available to the public..That would reduce the wide search to the state and the neighboring state.

I understand that people use disposable Simcards, The one that your sister typed with would have given a clue on the location..
She should have mention the man's name instead of the HIV thing she was talking about...at least amateur like us would have tried on LinkedIn.

Some that were good with Facebook would have swinged into action... Experience have shown me that there are so any smart people on Nairaland

This is really sad... Maybe the radio and TV broadcasting stations should do more in Ogun State by telling the indigenes of the state that one can't get rich by rituals but by hardwork...
They should invite native doctors, traditional rulers, psychologists, Police officers etc on their program..This is really getting out of hand..

TONYE001:
If every patient pays up, there'd certainly be some money to accommodate emergencies. If the government decides to create funds to cushion hospital cost, emergencies will be covered.

But what happens in situations where some patients refuse to pay, and the government is doing next to nothing to help the situation? How will consumables be acquired? How will hospital staff (that will attend to the patient) be paid?

If a private facility continues to "save lives first" and patients fail to pay thereafter, they'd close down in no time.
People are owing many organizations around the world.. the health care system would not be an exception...That's why credit control job is created to deal with debtors... I understand the valid point you made though..

But I think people should just go to some of this election rallies more.. gather their manifestos, comeback home and deliberate on which candidate will take the Healthcare system and employment serious in Nigeria....If people were employed, they can cover the cost of their treatment...and the ones beyond them could be funded by the govt...

But unfortunately, many were going there for jamborees

You won't understand
I have worked I 3 general hospitals, the crowds can be choking.

Is it the MD's fault. Who told You most general hospital MDS won't need surplus doctors, nurses and manpower

It is not available and they work with the provision given by the government

About Private Sector
I have even had an organisation
Bring a patient who almost died but after stabilisation

I waited for some days then sent the bill. It became a topic of dialogue but they paid.

Private health care is not free. Nigerian patients don't like to pay most times. Most drugs and equipment used in Nigeria is imported from other countries. Private Hospitals and health facilities pay a lot of bills. Generator, electricity, Salaries, Reagents, machine maintenance, taxes, software, stationery, staff, medication , printing costs and they are all paid for in cash not with empathy.

Did a test for a patient and referred based on Urgency. They never came back and paid.
Staff and the input costs for that test were not recouped

Nigerians were going to the USA to American Hospitals to give birth and leave without paying paying until American Embassy starting out measures to check such actions

I have spent money accessing healthcare for Loved Ones.

It is not cheap in the private sector

Let the government expand health care facilities and staff and take steps to trains and recruit more manpower to the public health system
I totally understand you trust me buddy.. I am not in the medical field.. Life first before any other thing is what I am talking about... is there a way that a dying patient could be stabilized or rescued from the point of death...

I am not saying that he/she should be given full treatment.. Just enough for him or her to be alive first before Money negotiations kicks in.. That's just my line of argument..

So where should the hospitals get money to buy supplies and consumables to treat others?
When they deposit such money in the hospital, such consumables does not just magically fly in immediately or does it? there are ways organizations around the world collect their debt.. or is that not so?
Health › Re: Doctors Share Alarming Stories Of Attack On Duty In Nigerian Hospitals by Richy4(m): 12:51pm On Jan 05, 2023
I don't blame some relatives sometimes though... The day that they will decide on changing some hospital policies, then the attack might cease..

Many Hospitals puts money first before the lives of individual/ citizens.. I believe that was not what they were taught in school..That was not part of their oath of office especially in a poor country like Nigeria..

How can one see someone that was about to die, instead of at least rescuing the person from the hands of death first without administering full treatment of recovery, they just ignore the person until family members have deposited millions... That's just inhumane behavior...

I wish that they can just move passed the colour of her skin and treat her like any other human being... They should deal with it already.

Since she was married to Harry, there was this tabloid that looked like it was dedicated to her.. day in day out, week in week out, it's all about her... It's not really easy on her having that kind of colour in her skin in a place where skin colour matters..she will be scrutinized at all times..
