OK... so they are not relevant.... their own death cannot break the internet because they were the lowest of the food chain.. that was why they there were not included in the number of death.....

But I don't really like what u did. You should have told him what you were telling us instead of promising him...

The matter would have died down assuming you told him that look buddy.... I gave you so much... My inlaws, one of them passed and I gave so much... now, I can barely feed... FULLSTOP.

Now he might be hoping that next month you will be giving him what u promised... and if u don't, it will seem as if u have and u don't want to give...

You guys should try and be honest in your dealings. it doesn't take much...

Don't give birth to children you can't comfortably take care of, give options in life, and leave a good inheritance for. People who give birth in poor, abject conditions have no conscience.
That's not the main issue my brother.... even the whites that give birth to 2 or 3 all struggle...

When a nation has system that is working, the citizens rejoice.... In some parts of the world, students apply for grant... Govt gives grant with hope that they will pay back immediately after graduation and starts working without defaulting.., when they starts working, they get payment plan on how to pay back so that others too will be given a chance to study as well... Of cause they will not default because govt has a way of tracking all these... database were interlinked... and there's no way u will start working without them knowing...because your tax file will be submitted.....

But is that system gonna be workable in Nigeria? when there are no authentic home address system....... when there's no data base that link to different private organization, ministries and internal affairs office... when someone will give an address to the govt that he/she resides in in sokoto state with some fake street.... but has never been to sokoto before...

It will take a long time to arrive at the stage when govt must intervenes but until then...

If they are your friends then u can always talk in a joking manner that you have noticed that they like eating here... that each of them should contribute 100k to restock... failure to do so, no food/drink for them...That when next that they are coming, they should come with their own food and drinks....they will know that you know what they have been doing...

In my opinion though, I will suggest u ignore it ie if it's not hurting your pocket too much....Friendship is about sacrifice.. I can't remember the person that sang this song while growing up " blessed is the hand that giveth than the one that taketh..."

What happens to privacy even the phone companies tell that IMEI is just use for emergency. Let's not use because of insecurity to justify this. Do you know how many branches of police we have in this country and yet we still bring up policy that they can't train the police on how to use it. Since nin registration how many crime have they been able to solve using it let's be objective and see how things work. For me all this are not necessary. Let's have census is you're identified as a citizen a number should be assigned to you like what the USA have SSN everything you do getting a job or buying stuff using ur debit card you number will be linked to it. With the level of data usa have crime is been committed over their. I still need a valid argument from them the reason they need the IMEI because this one doesn't hold water.
To be honest with you, That's the problem of developing Country... They give little or no information before enforcing any Bill, And that gives room to speculations...they should have informed the Citizens first the reasons why they were doing what they were doing.......There should have been room for a press conference where they can highlight the advantage, the disadvantage, benefits etc and rooms for Questions and answer section...So my brother I don't know...I was only speaking out of little experience based on how it works....

But on a lighter note bro if for example, u found yourself in UK tonight... and you were asked to do this/register your SIM, will u demand for an explanation on why? smiley

and you think that medium through which you demand your lost phone be tracked for you will be accessible to you?...

Just like when your account is hacked and you lose your money to another account that will never be traced yet the bank system has a database...
Just saying what I know bro because it's a system that works for many countries...It is universally accepted... It could be a baby step to help reduce insecurity in Nigeria...Especially when the govt wants to track those criminals that uses different destroyable SIM with one phone... if registered, it could help put a name to the person using the device...
In terms of tracking, anyone can do it themselves... just try reading how it works on google. smiley

Submitting EMEI is not the problem, using it to oppress innocent citizens for speaking up or opposition to their crazy ideas is.
You are right though especially when one wants to exercise his/her right in terms of freedom of speech.... because u might be tracked even if u swap numerous sim using the same said phone... yes that's a disadvantage to citizens where fundamental human right is questionable...But think about the insecurity going on in Nigeria... that's a big concern...

What of a situation where the phone was stolen and the person that stole the phone used it to commit crime or the phone was trace to a crime scene. Nah another problem be that , note in this country where even if you complaint to Authority immediately after the phone theft , they will still be harrasing you for questioning.... Although it is a good idea but the laziness of black man will not let the good motive of the initiative to function well.
If your phone is stolen,...report it immediately with a prove that that was your phone. then it will be backlisted.. it will be made useless... even if someone buys it, and do factory reset... it might not work for them... u can't use a phone that is useless...

Ok but that's already in place with the IMEI, the cell tower and yhe nin can help with that.
Some people uses Sim that can be easily destroyed because of their notorious activities right?... but a registered cellphone can help put a name to it...except if that person have a lot of money to buy so many cellphones..

Then why not use nin to achieve this why all this registration is like they are up to something.
Yes they are in a way because If registered, and u have a contract with a mobile carrier say MTN, the government could use a search warrant to access your IMEI information for number and location tracking. So even if you swap out your SIM card with a prepaid one, you can still be traced if you were using that phone.

Oga, how will registering phone reduce crime alot in nigeria?

To restrict the usage of a stolen device and hence control the instances of theft..Also owners can registered with their phone numbers. Whenever the device is used with a different Sim Card, a notification is sent to the registered mobile number of the owner. I believe you want to know the number that was using your phone when it gets stolen

I understand your point bro but this is Nigeria.

The first thing to do is to make life a bit easier for the common man. Once there jobs, the cost of living is reasonable etc the rate of crime will reduce.

But as long as we have this incredible number of unemployed people in Nigeria and as long as the number keeps multiplying, crime will keep multiplying.

You see this policy? It's only good in papers.

The same police you report to will charge you to help you trace your phone, sometimes their charge is more than the cost of the phone.

The werey imei will be wiped and replaced in certain phones.

We already have specialists in unlocking/buying stolen phones.

Do you think those people that format locked phones, wipe and change imei etc do not know that the phones were stolen?

Yea... That is a big challenge man.. I can now see the reason why most developed countries pay their youths and citizens who were unemployed from tax payers money...
Part of the reasons was because of this minor things u mentioned ....Every country will be a dream place to be if they got good and working administration

Who told u, if they still want to steal the phone they will. The ones they have stolen, has anything been done about finding it? To track phone self is a problem if u provide them with the imei when ur phone is stolen. The next thing u will see is government will use us to be cashing out on that aspect. Releasing our imei to this present government will be the worse thing ever
They will steal your phone... yes but it will be useless.. because you will report and it will be locked. before it's opened, Questions like
IS it a SIM Locked? Was this phone stolen or lost? and so on ..All this uncomfortable questions would be asked and it will be dictated in the system when the person comes to unlock... It would deter some people from buying stolen phones..And before any phone is opened, you come with some ID...Like international passport, Local ID not birth certificate smiley....

no be SIM dem dey talk na IMEI of your phone.
It will reduce the effect of mobile phone thefts... It has many advantages... even the the UK has that law...Australia uses Cell phone numbers to certify their own IMEI that was why I mentioned the sim...Just google it...It will help Nigerians alot to track certain miscreants...

Do NCC think every Nigerian use the same phone for years?
Very simple... the criteria of purchasing any simpack is always that you register it there and then before it will be handed to you... it usually takes 2mins to register at any shop...That will reduce crime alot in Nigeria... I'm even surprised that it has not been introduced in Nigeria in this modern time...Every shop that sells sim is linked with network providers...

Family › Re: It Really Hard Being An Introvert. by Richy4(m):
Myfriend, being an introvert is not hard... just that you mixed being an introvert with laziness... most of the things you listed there was an attribute of an introvert yes, but some of them was just laziness/ choice that you made as u grow...Example

<<<< Not following your mom to attend any function....<<<< laziness in my opinion... most introverts of your age that knows that they were fighting lonesome battle will go to 89% function with gentle push/ persuasion from friends and family members... The stage that u are right now should be how to mingle ,,..that should have been your question...You can't continue in this stage of not going at all... You have passed it...U should draw a line between laziness and being an introvert...

<<<<Joining a church group....U said that u used to, but now you don't feel like it... that was your choice and has nothing to do with being an introvert...if not why don't being an introvert stop u from attending university/ secondary school? is school not part of a community? and in that community u have faculty/ department... so also church... u have different section in church...

<<<< Having people who feel that you don't belong here nor there... that is why we are social animal.. even if u speak dozen languages, some will still find it annoying....there's no way u can please every one... u will find some who will still question your true identity because of that ... Look for those ones who are comfortable speaking English language with u and stick with them...

You are your own enemy here...Do not use laziness/ I don't wanna get disturbed and equate it with an introvert... wear your cloth, go to the park alone... Go to church... If u feel like joining a group, I will suggest the usher... Since u can smile, then u can welcome people with your smiles... From there, you network and fellowship with others...

Besides, being an Introvert may have helped u fight an unknown/ hidden battle... So many trouble u may have landed yourself... so many headache of dealing with friends....Go and ask the agony of people that have so many friends....Being an extrovert is equally not easy... some doesn't know what embarrassment meant... it was no longer in their dictionary...A lot of them get humiliated on daily bases but they don't dwell on it...'some time u go shame on their behalf' .....So in summary... put some more effort in working on your insecurity..
The way u are carrying on, u might find it hard securing a job...because u might think that the interview panel were there to swallow u...
