The man is not the only one that has red flag on this write up in my opinion.... The woman is flying hers too on half-mast because she centered the relationship more on Financial gain.. if not,<<<< she wouldn't be afraid to tell her man the true situation of her Family background<<<<she would have declared to her man that she has so much and that she wants to invest ...she only told him because she lost it<<< Why would she be upset that the man did not tell her the exact amount he was earning?...She was also hoping for him to place her on a monthly allowance even when she was earning right? Tell your friend that relationship is not a poverty alleviation programme...... U said she is smart and I believed you because for her to be quitting jobs and getting hired in a short time while lots of people were still searching is something.... She should leave the relationship and work more on being financially independent So that no man will have the temerity to be so cruel as to body shame her again... This is just an ass licking of the highest order SIR... Let me summarize this for those who might not have the chance to read it.... OP is implying that Nigerian women cannot survive career wise without Nigerian men...That their survival strongly depends on the male counterpart ..,( his example was high number of Nigerian female prostitutes in Italy that men failed to help ).... You said they are school teachers right? during holidays, just Invite one of them to the city.... Let them come and see situation of things.... (Your mum will be the better option for this experiment) While she was there, Let the fridge be almost empty to the point that she will think u were starving...No meat, fish or chicken allowed in your home in all the duration that she will be staying... If you were cooking thick Egwusi soup before, make it a bit watery for her benefit... When she gets home, she will tell her husband the true situation of things... and they will be putting u in their prayers every morning during morning devotion.., Even when u give them money, they will be feeling sorry and reluctant to collect it... The bottom line is, U have solved the constant calling problem  N.B: This solution does not mean u should stop giving them money for ever...It's just a temporary measure 5 Likes

Besides, in sane countries around, there are certain places/ areas that Trailers were not allowed to go to.. Some of the deaths in Nigeria could be avoidable assuming laws were properly made and enforced.. mind you, I'm not saying that it was ok for traders to sell on the street.... What I'm after was that a better alternatives should be given to them....When you caste someone out, you show the person where to go... You destroyed their goods without compensation, what do you call that? If you are developing/ beautifying a country and the people u were making the development were dying of hunger and starvation, was that nice? The Almajiris that u mentioned, how sustainable was that project of rehabilitation? Was that not a case of rounding them up and dumping them to a particular place without basic necessities... You are asking what the govt should do... luckily, most of them do travel abroad.... they have seen, and they should do more for their citizens.. |

It's like all of you were extremely lucky with facial structure....Unlike some of us.... mine was worse... especially graying in 20s.... now almost covered with white Beard while my mates had none.... When kids comes into the world, They do not come with manuals.. It would have been easier assuming they came with one so that every parent will know how to treat them... what they want and how best to relate with them.... Your dad did the very best he could for you... I mean the very best...He made decisions to keep u safe... remember, he is not perfect...... no parent is... at least he trained you...put roof over your head....provides food that gave you nourishment till adulthood .. the least you can do is to be grateful.... I'm not saying u should greet him... I assume u are an adult and old enough to make your own decision.. while making such decision, u should apply wisdom... I'm just saying that it is not easy to be a parent... he did what he felt was ok at that time... Do not hold it against him.... Even at that, have you tried at least to make an inquiry about your grandparent?...It could even be how he (your father) was trained too while growing up as a child and he knows no better...It's up to you to break that strict parental cycle..... 3 Likes 1 Share |

Irresponsible father or not.... A child/son or daughter have absolutely no right what so ever to beat up their parent... Assuming it was in self defense, we will say maybe he shoved him off so that he can get away... but when he does that repeatedly, I just don't know.... If you have a military friend(s), ... let them harass him a little.. Frog Jump is in-order in this case ....If they can do things that won't leave much marks on him but will make him exhausted,...So that when next such thought came to him, It will die a natural death... what an insolent scallywag 4 Likes
