Oga there's a Famous statement and I quote,

“What the elders can see while sitting down, the young man cannot see it, even if he climbs the highest Iroko tree". grin grin

A word is enough for the wise.
In this context, I guess the above quote is irrelevant dear.. This is because OP's mother did the same thing by going against her parents wishes and settled for her one true love...

Assuming she obeyed her parent those days and married whom they chose for her then your quote would have made some sense now.... why didn't she abide by what the elders see/ iroko climbing those days?..

It might not be out of place if I say that the quote was fallacy.... considering OP's parent successful marriage..

Shouting match will not solve anything... Getting angry where no one tends to listen to another person's opinion won't help..

Do operation 7day best behaviour... Be extra nice to your dad for one week.. within the 7th day, while he's relaxing, buy two bottles of what ever he likes.. join him and tell him u want to talk.. Ask him why his in laws refused to let him marry their daughter and what he did/ how he handled it.. let the conversation flow without interruption.. From there, you can figure out what to do..

This is a bit easy for OP to write.. extremely easy...

Put yourself in Martha's position and use your imagination....U have a younger sister at home, You have a lot of chores to do including cooking... and the younger sister was busy listening to a pastor talking... Who will cook the food? Who will fetch the water because I believe then, there was no running tap etc..

Mary look like that regular girl everyone knows that is scared of chores and needed special invite to enter into the kitchen to help out..

a judge can't go back to his judgement unless an higher court deem it fit,if the accused produced every reasonable doubt of evidence and order a fresh retrial.

Odewaleadesoye:
Things are really hard in the South West of the country due to the handiwork of these Fulani People.

Farmers can't farm anymore due to the Fulani Herdsmen. If you dare challenge them, they will kill you instantly.

They will direct their cattle to the farm and even uproot farm produces for the animals. Wicked people.

They carry gun, sword, cutlass and knife everywhere. They are very dangerous.

If any farmer should possess gun or sword, he or she will be arrested by the Police.

Why nah?

The problem comes from the traditional rulers. They have sold almost all the land to the Fulanis and making the indigenes to suffer.

How I wish we can stop eating their meats.

These people are injuring us here.

We actually need people like Sunday Igboho to help us.

If you're in Oyo, Osun, Kwara, Ekiti, Ondo, You would understand better.

God help us.

Thank you so much Mr. Sunday Igboho.
There's a picture of him with a kid.... can you make it a bit blurry please...Or take it down completely

I thought that the nib-breaking form of ritual was only a symbolic customs of the Indians.....

According to what I heard, Judges have no powers to review/revoke the judgement once it has been written and signed.....the nib is also broken so that the judge may not think of reviewing his own judgement... I don't think it is done in Nigeria.

Information exists in two form sir. I.e personal information and impersonal information. When information is personal; it reveals the identity of the victims or client. But impersonal Information are those that doesn’t identify the client or patient as individual. So what the lawyer did is 100% justified cos he didn’t mention the name of the victim neither did he name the location. Take for instance the health sector. If they did not inform the public if occurrence, everyone will definitely be a victim now but cases and information are divulge as a impersonal Information.
Thanks man for the information ... But I think the client will feel extremely uncomfortable reading about this if he happens to stumble on the lawyer's write up...
U know the power of social media.. Also, the Family members and friends of the client that knew what transpired will know that it was him... so for me, it's a no no..

If I hire a lawyer and he/ she broadcast the information he/she had about me, personal information or not, I won't take it from him..

Even Nneka the pretty serpent we watched those days did not control elements..

What will then happen when u grow up and gets married...and maybe, just maybe your wife could not conceive for 2 or more years..Then what? u will probably stone her to death or burn her alive for eating up your kids...

By careful young man.. U don't know the intercession she has been making for you before the throne of God.. and u were busy accusing her of a faulty laptop sad

Thanks giving brings money into the store house... Remember it's the same none legally married couple who are coming to give thanks....

Obviously naming the innocent child is against the 'rules' because.. (just complete the sentence)

The question is, is the church of Christ excluding or bringing sinners to Christ or to God? which I believe was the original commission. They are running it now like money making organisation with stiff rules that will benefit the organisation but not the lost sheep.

Family › Re: What Are We Doing Wrong? by Richy4(m): 2:12pm On Jan 18, 2021
In my Opinion, Marriage in the olden days was durable and sustainable because of;

Technology<<< Technology was not advanced in those days like it was now... I mean there are tracking devices to catch cheating spouses nowadays...
My great grand mother/ father knew nothing about social media. It is possible for a man/woman to cover his/her tracks well without being exposed then than Now... So, what you don't know won't hurt you was common those days.

Education / training<<<< Those days, women were trained to be submissive to their husbands.. Girl child education then might be seen as zero existing. except in a situation where the family were rich enough to train them.... They were only trained to do some domestic work, make babies and please their man... while the men provides for their families...

But nowadays, some women were the pillars and the breadwinners of their homes, Most of them were educated... even more educated and richer than the male counterpart.. So equality has become the order of the day in our present generation..
So if you don't like me the way I am, You can go and don't let the door hit you at your back mentality is prevailing in most marriages...

Well I don't blame u, You are just saying what you know and not necessary what is correct. Your type are the kind the devil and his agents use anyhow for suya because you lack spiritual understanding. To you everything is normal. I pity u!
The most annoying part was that u were claiming to be a Christian... What do you think Jesus would do if he was to be in your situation? To let an innocent person's blood pressure rise because of what he knows next to nothing about?

If the bible said "do not let the book of the law depart from your mouth, you should meditate on it day and night.." Based on that fact alone, Can you refer me to verse where it was written that eating in your dream was a sign of spiritual weakness or that you were a witch/ wizard?.

The time the holy spirit wanted to minister to Peter, to teach him about the Gentile, he used food in his dream... He said... "Peter arise kill and eat"... Assuming those things were not creepy, do u think Peter would not have obeyed the holy spirit?

Even if u were being attacked by the Devil and his agent as u claimed, what made u think they cannot use the face of someone else?...Since you claimed to be so spiritual, and the devil cannot use u for Suya, what happened to
"You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the calamity that destroys at noon. Though a thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, no harm will come near you.…"

Assuming you dreamt where u were in a Meeting or a conference with Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gate, Donald Trump or even Dangote eating and drinking, U would not have remembered that you were not supposed to eat in dreams.. Just because it was a homeless guys, he now wants to kill u.

Even at that, u did no have the decency to tell him that he has overstayed his welcome, u were using spiritual mumbo jumbo to portray your "kindness" What a very good Christian you are.. "Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord!' will enter the kingdom of heaven" So says the Good book.

Family › Re: Eating In The Dream, Good Or Bad? by Richy4(m): 3:59pm On Jan 17, 2021
To be honest OP, I can't share a house with someone like u man. I don't mean any disrespect but I am honest ...
You were ignoring someone that offered u a hand of friendship and u even said you were not bordered about him and his mood? just because u said you were eating with him in your dreams?

Assuming you were eating with the owner of Facebook in your dream or Bill Gate, would it have made a difference?.. I guess u would have interpreted it to be that God wants to elevate you right? And u might even pray for it to come to pass...

I don't just know how someone that eats in reality cannot see himself or herself eating in a dream... I don't see how someone that works in a morgue will think it's a taboo to see dead bodies in a dream... I don't see how someone that cooks food can find it disheartening cooking and eating in a dream...

In your Bible, those guys Joseph interpreted their dreams, what were they doing in real life and what was their dreams?.. Psalm 23 somewhere said "... he prepared a table before me in the presence of my enemy....." even if u were being fed by a wizard do u think it can affect u as a Christian based on that verse...

Anyways, I wish I could find a way to tell that your friend not to worry about u because it's a waste of time... angry

I don't just understand some parent... For the life of me I can't imagine someone in school being pressurized to go and make money...? Is the studies not meant for you to make it when u finish?...was that not a career you were pursuing?

I don't mean to disrespect your mum but I think she's not fit to be a parent.. her job was to encourage you... not to give you a killer push.. if you do it now like your mate by stealing or Yahoo and get caught.... she will be the first to be dramatic, shedding tears/ rolling on the floor... telling everyone that cares to listen that she warned you
