In this world, everyone have got choice ... so Op if you decide to place your wife before your mum, it's up to you... and if a wife decides to put her dad before her husband, it's up to her... If I wasn't born and she was not there during those fever days, teething, sleepless nights, when I got measles @ 6 etc.. just maybe i would have died in my infancy and probably reincarnated.. U have to be alive first, grow up before marriage... Assuming she gave birth to me and dump me in a pit toilet, I will not be here arguing with u on who men should put first, So do not crucify anyone that have different OPINION... we have freedom of choice.. 2 Likes |

You are what I tagged "a poor sheltered soul" trust me I won't even want to be in your shoes... I believe very soon they will decide who u will marry... the way I see it, just forget about your own choice because it will not happen... the emotional blackmail that's gonna happen when the time comes is still applying makeups... Temporary Solution to this problem is in your hand though... rent a house that you will call your second home.. stay more in your second home... Studying outside your state is already all the ticket you needed for freedom... learn the skills...get a job from the skills u acquired and use part of it's proceeds to pay rent because I guess they will not pay the rent for you(freedom comes with sacrifice) Finally, learn to use Chinese keys to lockup your heart a little bit(I suggested Chinese keys because it's not strong but it works) so that you won't be moved much when the crying and emotional blackmail comes.. My opinion... If he can provide for you without complaining in Future... very good, Also, If as a woman, you dislike someone asking u what u want to do with money when you ask for it, please do not consider being a house wife... Because time shall come when he will feel that you were drinking his money... more especially when he is stressed.. no matter how well to do he is, my take is work so that you can retain your dignity.. 2 Likes |

You should first of all ask what the African culture is all about.... If we gonna go by western culture then it's not every parent that see their kids through school over there... once the child clock 18, he/ she might request for a grant from the govt (student loan). The child will repay the loan after graduation.... Now that leaves the parent to continue saving the money they would have used to pay for the child tuition.. the money saved would be used to pay for a nursing home or a retirement village were the parent will be looked after during old age... so there will be no demand whatsoever from the parent..... And no parent will hold it against the child if they cannot spare a kobo on them.. Now you don't expect an African parent that used up all his fund( because their was no assistance from govt) in training a child not to at least ask for something in return at old age do you? If we gonna copy the Europeans, check their system first... what works for them, and what cannot work in Africa. 2 Likes |

It's just simple... Let your Brother do the chores that he can, and the ones he cannot do, he should ignore it without complaint.... If she complain again about cloth and cream, your brother should tell him that he is not disabled.. the fact that they were together does not mean he should kill himself for her... in this day and age women do all kind of job from nanny to executive jobs.. let her find where she belong and help out.. Tell your bros to buy some chewing sticks too .. If she starts nagging, He should just chew the sticks furiously ie if he doesn't want to leave the house.. he can consider buying earphone to listen to some music just to tune her off... |

My problem with this whole thing was that noone knew that he was a hoarder... the hoodlums practically exposed him.. Imagine keeping what was not meant for him for months... not that he was eating it.. is that not a disease? |

What is wrong with this OP? I wish I can just see you and tell you what I thought of you... How does it even feel when you were typing this nonsense that a 3 year old can't read?... Instead of buying picture books and asking him/her to identify the object.. or do some coloring.... anyways, i don't blame you..... because I believe some parents here will tell you how their kids or neighbors' kids passed WAEC while they were 8months and how they graduated from Oxford university at 12... Truth Can never be hidden no matter how hard the person trying to hide it act... Though I must give it to them, the little boys they are paying here in Nairaland to say there was no death were doing a great job... Just listen to what the governor was telling the infants/ kindergarten kids he is governing.. .....The state is investigating if the victims died of a gun shot or not.... Which means the doctors in that hospital does not know or cannot tell him offhand or cannot differentiate between gunshot wound or stabbed injuries or any other injury ... in that hospital no one can tell if a gunshot wound until maybe when an X-ray is conducted... I don't even wanna talk about the number of the victims because one death is big enough.. When they say/ do all these how does it make u guys feel? |
