Got Robbed Tuesday Night around 9:15pm three Houses Away from Unilag Junction close 2 Yabatech.
3 Man Gang on a Bike. It all happened in less than 2 Min.
I was walkin down 2 d Bustop with a Collegue. We Noticed 2 Guys Behind us walkin, i was about 2 tell my pal 2 let us make a Dash 4 it when they brought out their Pistols.
They Collected my Bag which contained a White Sony Viao laptop, 3 Wristwatch (Movado, Promade & D&G which i unfortunatly choose that day 2 Repair), My School Project (almost Completed), flash drive, Mobile phone, Money & other Important Documents.
They also carted away with my Friend's HP laptop, Wallet, phone & Wrist Watch.
It wasnt funny at all, i tried resisting cuz i wanted 2 be Sure they were really holdin a gun + i was buyin time hopin somebody might come 2 Rescue us. 1 of d Guys Cocked his Pistol & Threatened 2 kill us, I begged him 2 let me take d documents in my Bag & 2 take d money inside my wallet cuz of my I.D card. They were havin none of that, 1 of them took d Money in my wallet & dropped it.
They got on a Bike & Zoomed off.
Went 2 d Police Station Wednesday (yesterday)Morning 2 make a Report. I was Told we Have 2 pay N20,000 to get a Police Report.

Its d 1st time i'll ever experience a Robbery, Am stil in a Shock cuz i keep havin Flash Back, Share ur Experience

I don’t know about other countries in the world but here in Nigeria being an atheist can get u into a whole lot of trouble. For me, I have gotten into trouble with my family, some of my friends and recently (yesterday) my girlfriend called it quit cuz she can’t imagine living with somebody who does not believe in a supernatural deity. She said at first, she thought i belong to 1 of the religion (Islam/Christianity), until she saw me disproving the arguments of my religious friends that have d habit of attributing all the solutions to Nigeria’s problem to God and prayer. From that moment on she tried convincing me to have a religion (any one for that matter) but I keep insisting u don’t need to believe in any deity.
It’s funny that I have always accepted people for who they are (irrespective of their religious belief) but most religious people won’t do the same for atheist. In fact, they prefer a stone worshipping fellow to an atheist.

Was in a bus 2day and i saw this pregnant woman, with a couple of kids like 3 of them with 1 on her back. They were trying to lap on a sit. With the help of the other passengers we were able to take the kids 1 by 1 cuz it was obvious they wouldn’t fit on a single sit.

My question is why do people have more kids than they can cater for? Nigerians complain of poverty and still give birth to a lot of children.

Sometimes in life we come across things that defy explanations/logic.

Sometimes you find it hard to express yourself often with the people you care about so much. We just have that feeling that there is no word in the world vocabulary that can pass across the message. We let those moments pass us by, we often regret it, a trip down memory lane will make u flinch because you just cant explain these Moments. You needed to say something so bad but the words just aint coming out.

I stumbled upon a remarkable story online a few weeks ago. This is it unedited:



10th Grade

As I sat there in English class, I stared at the girl next to me.

She was my so-called "best friend".

I stared at her long, silky hair.

I wished she were mine, but she didn't notice me like that. And I knew it.

After class she walked up to me and asked me for the notes she had missed the day before,

and I handed them to her. She said "thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

I wanted to tell her. I wanted her to know that I don't want to be just friends.

I love her, but I'm just too shy. And I don't know why.



11th Grade

The phone rang. It was her on the other end.

She was in tears, mumbling on and on about how her love had broke her heart.

She asked me to come over because she didn't want to be alone, so I did.

As I sat next to her on the sofa, I stared at her soft eyes, wishing she was mine.

After 2 hours, a Drew Barrymore movie, and three bags of chips, she decided to go to sleep.

I stared at her. She smiled at me and stared at me with her crystal eyes.

Graduation Day

A day passed. A week passed. A month passed. Before I could blink, it was graduation day.

I watched as her perfect body floated like an angel up on stage to get her diploma.

Funeral

Years passed, and I looked down at the coffin of the girl who used to be my best friend." At the service they read a diary entry she had wrote in her high school years.

This is what it read:

All I could say at the End of the story was “Awww”, but just like the guy in the story, some of us will miss the chance to be a part of something special just because we couldn’t say the things we needed to say.



The next time I find myself in a situation where I am speechless, I’d take the john Mayer’s solution in the song “Say What U Need To Say” he said:

Even as the eyes are closing

Do it with a heart wide open

So in the spirit of valentine, go out there, pick up the phone & Call, pick up ur pen & write a Letter, and tell the people that are dear 2 u how much u love them, say it the way it comes to u, no matter how shy u are, no matter how awkward… just go out there & Say what u need to say.
