Barka Juma to all, May Allah (SWT) bestow on us all the benefits of Juma, amin. I really hope uplawal is alright, whatever she may be going through, May Allah (SWT) bestow on her consolation and strengthen her heart with faith, amin. |
Ayatollah is not the progenitor of Islam, from his words, he said 'Islam says' not the Quran says. Where such words are in the Quran, it should be read in its context. Ayatollah said it as if Muslims are mind readers who will know those who want to harm them before they do anything at all thereby killing innocent people in order to prevent their plans. Because Ayatollah says it does not mean it is Islam, ish |
That's a bold step there deols, I luv movies alot but I have come to accept them as fantasies a long time ago. I have trained myself not to take that hobby as priority and Alhamdulilah, I don't take watching movies, especially the 'talk of town' latest movies, as a do or die affair as I used to. I did not watch Avatar until about 5 months after it was released which was unlike me, I pondered about it too but was not as freaked about it as everyone was making it. I'll really like to quit totally like you. May Allah help me to and strengthen you to uphold your decision, amin. |

illusion2:@illusion, every prophet has his unique title just as Jesus (PBUH) was the anointed, Mohammad (PBUH) was Al Mustapha, the chosen. |
Acid rain is not necessarily water falling from the sky, it could be snow or particles, i.e., dust. Who knows, the 'harmatan-like' dusty occurrence could be acid rain. What's of more importance is that acid rain, whatever form it may be, does not directly affect humans. It directly affects plants, lands, statues and more of aquatic beings. It is only gases inhaled that may cause asthma and lung infection. |
Sagamite:I believe we should start from you since you can not even use . If your teacher had killed you instead of teaching you, I wonder how you would know what you boast of today. |
MESSIAH Definition: Messiah is the transliteration of a Hebrew term, Mashiach. The New Testament (Greek) equivalent is Christos. Both terms mean "the anointed one." The verb mashach, found about 140 times in the Old Testament, means "to smear, anoint, or spread." Description: The verb was frequently used for the ceremonial induction into leadership. Three types of leaders were anointed: Prophets- represented God among the people (1 Kings 19:15-16). Priests- represented the people before God through sacrifices and prayers (Ex. 28:40-41). Kings- defended and ruled over the people on Gods behalf (1 Sam.16:12-13). Implications: The anointing meant that someone was authorized to serve God in a position of honor and responsibility. Divine enablement often accompanied the anointing. While many were anointed, only One was given the title of "the Anointed One."- Jesus Christ |
Yeah, not many people can be patient to withstand setbacks and start all over again. Bilms, you know what, Allah (SWT) will test every being as He wills and the virtues He love well in His beings are patience and perseverance and He is well acquainted with all happenings. Your signature, 'progress has little to do with speed but has much to do with direction', was a form of inspiration to me I read it. I hope it is to you too, Ma salaam |
If hausa peaople dont have mind to retaliate what useless Berom did to them, we Fulani shall never leave the blood of our brothers shed for nothing. A battle line has been drawn. Una no see anything yet.
Brother, it is true the Fulanis were also massacred in the middle of the night while in their sleep but that does not justify killing innocent women and children. If justice is to be sought genuinely, then seek it on the real culprits of the Fulani attack. I am sure it is only about 3% of those defenseless people that were killed in return that participated in the Fulani attack. So like your signature says, the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, fear God brother and do what is right in the right proportion. |
Aolly:If birthdays are to be celebrated, they should be celebrated with praises to Allah and sadaqah to the less privileged. It should not be spent wasting resources. As fo that of the Prophet, it should be spent remembering his mission on earth ans thanking Allah for His mercies |
Sam Milla:There is nothing wrong with the content of the Book, it is perfect and FYI, there is no promise of 72 virgins to 1 man in the Book. Those that make a noise of the 72 virgins reward didn't get it from the Book so there is no changing it from the Book. nehemaih:That's not true, life is sacred in Islam, even taking your own life has grievous penalty. |
May Allah (SWT), Who is the source of all abundance, bestow on you a more rewarding job that is good for you, may He make us successful in this life and the hereafter, amin. ma salam sis |
Phew! I am already having a headache from all these politician "chop money" talk. Guess they are all the same past and present. And if you think anybody will probe them, think again! The money in their hands in such that they can even bride the pope to say benediction in an Cele church. As for the press. Forget them. The brown envelope works wonders. Change the topic "jare". Let PM News come out with an interesting headline like "FASHOLA IMPREGNATES HOUSE GIRL" or "TINUBU MARRIES A AFGANISTAN TALIBAN WOMAN" Then I will be interested. If politician no chop money what do you expect him to do? As Barkin Zuwo summarised it "Government Money in Government House" is no crime. Send for Panadol extra!
PM News headlines! ![]() |
If the Islam was designed after a religion of a pagan god, don't you think the highest in rank of all the gods of that period would have been preferred? i.e hubal who was referred to as "the god of gods and the most notable" Why would a sub god of hubal, one of the three goddesses be chosen. These propagator of 'moon god theory' have to change their attack weapon cos this one is weak. as if any other one could be effective anyways, for a substantial reply to the OP, visit http://www.mostmerciful.com/moongod.htm |

The chanting of '72 virgins' is ever so close to the lips of the non muslims in their effort to justify the muslims act of jihad, hence for a while now, I have been searching for the proclamation of 72 virgins in the Quran and hadiths and have not found it. What.s in the Quran is the promise of virgins to men of truth and righteousness, no particular number mentioned. i.e., 38:51) Therein will they recline (at ease): Therein can they call (at pleasure) for fruit in abundance, and (delicious) drink; 38:52) And beside them will be chaste women restraining their glances, (companions) of equal age. 38:53) Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account! Where exactly did they get this theory from? |
nikkykay:Yes, his resignation was not accepted Pifa:there is a minister of state in every ministry, Nigeria is one of the countries with the highest number of executive members |
I wish they neglect the violent aspect of the quran totally. That's why I push for quranic review by the Islamic council.
like the Bible has been reviewed over and over till it the 'current stage' abi. Thanks but no thanks, we will stick to God' words as it is, accept it or leave it. The Quran has no violent content, it only depends on how you interpret it. If you continue to interpret it like you have 'misinterpreted' Abuzola, you continue arriving at the wrong conclusion. |
Trap has also refused the Nigerian job. Says he has a 2 year contract with Ireland. Better we stick with a Nigerian coach. A foreign coach cant even perform a miracle in the few days left to WC. I'm a patriotic Nigerian but I'm also realistic, I dont think Naija stands a chance in the WC. Not with all the other well fit and practised teams coming for the WC. The best we can do is stick to a good coach, local or foreign, and allow him a chance to get to know his team. Whether he wins the next tournament or not, give him the chance of a 2nd and even 3rd tournament before expecting results. |
I think this issue should be ignored. If she really said thus, has it stopped Goodluck from being the Acting president? This is the kind of issue that makes people wanna talk and keep talking and we have done enough talking in this country, its action that we need. Lets just leave this and face more serious issues jare, |
vislabraye:Oh really? why, am a proud Nigerian |
muhsin:rely sad and mind-boggling, I didnt think a public figure here in Nigeria could act in such manner, a public figure who acts as such is socially unenlightened, which should not be when in the position of a state governor. @Bashbaba, May Allah (SWT) bestow on you, and muslims in other troubled regions of the world, His help and victory over enemies of Islam as He did with Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) and his companions, Allahumo amin. |
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: The Prophet remained behind us on a journey. He joined us while we were performing ablution for the 'Asr prayer which was over-due and we were just passing wet hands over our feet (not washing them thoroughly) so he addressed us in a loud voice saying twice, "Save your heels from the fire." - Sahih Bukhari No. 164 |
To all, salamalaykum waramatulahi wabarakatuhu, I just read about the 'None shall touch it (the Quran) except the pure' verse of the Quran on the 'Curious About Islam' thread and it got me thinking. thing is while I was serving, there was an occassion that an MCAN organised lecture was ongoing in the mosque, I didnt want to mis it, cos me like soul food alot, but I was off solat and could not go into the mosque and I felt it was weired as a few muslima were seated outside and everyone passing by will know they were off solat. I went back to the room where I met the asst. Amira encouraging other occupants to attend the lecture. She was surprised to see me cos she knew how much I like to attend lectures like that, I explained to her then she dropped the bomb shell. she told me I could go into the mosque including read the Quran when off solat. She said a lady could enter a mosque during her menses if she has good enough reasons to. She said that particular verse was 'strictly' interpreted cos some ladies could be very careless during their menses hence the interpretation. Is this so? Before I read the thread, I had intended to ask how a lady should maintain her spirituality when she is off solat. |
uplawal:serious serious or just joking, cos Abu is scared of females toasting him as you have read on the Zina thread. ![]() |
A few means I think it can be avoided are: 1. Get married if you have the means, and be faithful to your partner, 2. Avoid being in a relationship if you are not ready to get married or you do not have the means to get married, (this situation is very tempting, most say "after all, we intend to get married" its ZINA anyway) 3. Protect your chastity which is not only by your dressing but also mentally and spiritually. Most of the things we watch and read these days are not helpful. Yeah, I know it isn't easy. May Allah (SWT) make it easy for us and provide the means in abundance when we are ready and willing to tie the knot, amin. Personally, I say amin, amin, and amina Yah Allah to the prayer. |
abi o, trust me, I know what he means. |
t.truth, thanks for your concern, we already know Christ, who are we no to to be won to Christ as muslims. Thanks en, if thats all you are here for. ![]() |
water will get under the nails but not on the nails and it is advised that water reaches every ablution region including in between the fingers if you'll recall how it is usually specified that one should intertwine the fingers when performing ablution. Allah knows best. |

. If your teacher had killed you instead of teaching you, I wonder how you would know what you boast of today.
