Happy new year to you all and all the best for 2008! Thanks for 2007 and this is the year of DIVINE EXCHANGE for you all. Your profits compared to what you would have invested in 2008 will simply be mind-boggling because you will enjoy unlimited FAVOUR. You guys have been a major major blessing to moi! Back from a well-earned holiday. Holidays are for families innit? I spend most of the year away from home so the least i could do is give family my undivided attention while i'm around. Now i'm back in base and i have been trying to catch up with the zillion bytes of info you have posted on this thread trying my best Somebody please tell me the stuff about CHAMS PP closing today is not true i have been reading the PP memorandumwindy wendy is not the only who's been busy this wekend! PAT for half-year 2007 about N648M is about x2 PAT for the whole of 2006 and those guys operate a virtual monopoly in the identity management/payments space so please tell me its joke that the PP has closed. I read somewhere that they will be doing an IPO after the private placement sometime this year but it might have become expensive then! Spring mortgageanyone heard about them? has applied to be listed on the NSE after concluding their PP if the application is succesful that would make only two of such companies listed in the mortgage sector in the NSE. Dont forget that so many insurance coys especially those that have life insurance businesses are positioning for a piece of the action in the mortgage sector. Watch the space! |
tochii:hmnnnn, cant see the connection though |
I would have liked to travel from NIGERIA to GERMAN, using TRANSEXPRESS flight. But the flight was ADC airlines, so I contacted NAHCO to do my baggage; I also noticed that the window of the plane was made by BETA GLASS. An official of TOURIST COMPANY was around to get me a nice car; we stopped at OANDO for some fuel. When I came back into the country, I stayed at IKEJA HOTELS. The next day I was at FIRST BANK to make some cash withdrawals, but I missed my atm transactions at GTB. Thereafter, I went to shop and bought some 7UP products, generators from AG LEVENTIS, clothes from ASABA TEXTILES, books from LONGMAN, pillows from VITAFOAM. I remembered that I should paint my house in the village, so I visited DN MEYER for some paints. I will also buy WAPCO CEMENT since it is cheaper than DANGOTE CEMENT. Stopped at BIG TREAT for some bread, and then noticed that JULIUS BERGER was doing roads that were awarded to COSTAIN, how come? I ran out of cash so I breezed into OCEANIC BANK, and saw a friend there. He worked for CADBURY and married a lady working at MAY & BAKER. We went out to mr biggs, owned by UACN. My friend wanted to have some maltina, a product of NIGERIAN BREWERIES, but was instead given a GUINNESS malta. There were adverts on the telly, AIICO INSURANCE were doing offer for shares, but my friend liked ZENITH BANK offer better. As we were leaving, a truck belonging to NIG. BOTTLING CO. was in our way, so we did a detour, came out of another road in front of UNILEVER.
I wanted to get on the TRANSEXPRESS flight from Zurich to Lagos but Mypeace told me the flight was full! I tried boarding Redstar Express they told me they only have first-class seats available i only travel Business class as its more value for money. When i was in Lagos i checked into ikeja Hotels because easimoni recommended their services but i have checked out now they were really good I also noticed that COSTAIN has been mandated to repair the roads to Port Harcourt terminals because the last time i was there it was almost derelict this notice was brought to my attention by easimoni again! I always transact most of my business with OCEANIC everytime i'm in nigeria been doing that since '04. UBA helped me to get started putting a property portfolio together somewhere in Lekki as they are the financiers of one of the numerous projects springing there as they are incidentally my stockbrokers. I also liked the sound of ZENITH so i became good friends with Uncle Jim and was so impressed i introduced my son to him we have been getting on like a house on fire since '05. I'm also thinking of getting some PILLOWS from VITAFOAM but i will wait till January if i can get a better deal just before they release their results! I tried to get hold of my pally Benson one of the directors in JAPAUL but it seemed the time was very incovenient for him so i guess i wont be meeting with him afterall. CILEASING are busy buying so they didnt have time for me or what i had to say I have already seen the banking halls DIAMOND,FCMB and PHB and so far i liked what i have seen i may return for a second visit depending on my schedule and how fast i can pull out my cash from UNION bank as i have been told that they will not be allowed to sell 30% equity again which is why i was happy to go along with the gravy-train |
@All I wont bother mentioning names Barge has done that quite perfectly well!. Every single one of you guys have been amazing on this thread and you made it what it is. You have all been fantastic and you have all impacted me in your own individual styles and i'm just so much the better for it. I wish you a merrry christmas and a prosperous new year. The RSI of your portfolio will continue to gather momentum in the years ahead, the moving average convergence/divergence of your invetsment will continue to favour you in Jesus name and the On Balance Volume of your holdings will not be in negative terrotoryi just have to slip that one in!. In short all the technical and fundamental indicators you may think of and come up with will continue to work in your favour in Jesus name. As the star can never struggle to shine, your portfolio will never struggle to shine in'08. The river can never struggle to flow, you will not struggle to get ahead in '08. You will gather speed, you will gather momentum in the years ahead. Your progress will be accelerated because there's something called FAVOUR. What it has taken men years to achieve you will all achieve in a fraction of the time. I see the aroma of the favour of God oozing from all of you in '08. Where you have been despised you will be CELEBRATED. Where they have said NO because there's something called GRACE that suspends the natural law of man, they will say YES to you. Nobody can do without water, they will look for you all over because God will supernaturally advertise you.Your talents will make way for you. I will see all of una at the top as the bottom is getting crowded. You will be lifted, you will be elevated and you will be promoted in Jesus name. Do i hear a big shout of AMEN! Thank you VERY VERY VERY much. All of you on this thread have been a MAJOR MAJOR blessing to me. You have been an incredible source of inspiration to me. Keep it up and don't be discouraged Make i throway one proverb to round up You know person wey pour water for ground ahead of time must definitely walk on a peaceful land You will not walk on troubled land! Seun thank you very much and the fountain of your wisdom will never dry up |
barge:Let me also do the same before i forget how can i forget? Thanks for the shout out and much appreciated just like God never forgot Joseph at the hour of his need even men may forget you will not be forgotten in Jesus name and honour will come your way. Thank you very much I take it you have or if you havent you are planning to take position in UNIC and Cornerstone ![]() |
aktopgun:The point i'm making is you only need a small volume of CUTIX to trigger a very big price movement because it is an illiquid stock. Once guys realise that is what is happening all they need to do is mop up small quantities here and there and then offload when you have enough to send the share prices downwards in the meanwhile you have made a very tidy or is it massive profit and then enter again. |
aktopgun:From a cursory look at what i have on my laps CUTIX has been trading volumes in the low thousands up until 5 Dec 07 when someone decided to shift 1.08M units and guess what happened? The stock lost consistently for the next 6 days in fact it lost max 5% in the first two days i.e on 7 and 8th Dec and then on the 13th Dec 1.7M changed hands and guess what? The price rallied and gained 48K thereafter meaning someone has profited seriously in those intervening 6 days! The pattern is offload a lot of units at a profit and then mop up again when the price has fallen all within a period of less than 2 weeks! For a company that has 500M shares outstanding shifting 1 million units(~0.2% of the total) should not have any effect on the share price at all but in this case we know this is not true. Catch my drift? |
aktopgun:Make uncle Jim just dey hold the forth for now until when they are ready. The problem with illiquid stock is you only need a small movement in the volume of the stock before you trigger an appreciable price movement. Looks a lot of folks have been doing this with spectacular results. We are not the only ones using tech analysis go and check out Cutix, Redstar Express and do some MACD,RSI,OBV analysis. Its quite startling! |
aktopgun:The way to go my man! How's it going at the moment? so i see madam let you off the hook of baby-sitting duties Your son and my son will be regular attendees at the Zenith board meeting in the not-too distant future ![]() |
@wanajo abeg now, answer my question. posted earlier on. Am new on the thread. I need to invest N20,000 and make "quick" profit in about one month. (short term, that is)
I tell you for a fact wanaj0 is the wrong personhe doesnt do short-term and 'quick' profits to direct the question to and frankly speaking doubt if anybody will be able to answer that question. Dont know if you have been reading the thread at all.Did you come across anybody saying anything about making a profit in 4 weeks? I will advise you read as much of the thread as you can and then see if you will be asking the same question again |

For all those who have been asking about how to chart and calculate TA indicators please find attached a little tutorial on RSI, OBV, MACD and moving averages with a real-life demo. The charting software is American unfortunately(well may be not) but its pretty cool you don't have to feed in the data manually it has a feed from the exchanges which means all you you need to is input the symbol for the company you are interested in and select all the charts and indicators you are interested in and that's it. Read the tutorial attached with this post and visit this linkhttp://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?c=msft,uu[l,a]daclnimy[p][vc60][iua12,26,9] before everything begins to make sense. I think someone else has already referred to this website whick i think is pretty cool I will be talking about stochastic indicators fast and slow in the next instalment these are very useful for non-trending patterns where the periods are relatively short and you cant establish a clear pattern. For the indicators we have tried discussing on this thread they may give false SIGNALS as the time frame may not be enough to form a definitive pattern If you need software that will analyse NSE stocks visit trw-stockbrokers.com and you can download a free charting software on the free software hyperlink i havent tried myself. You need an internet connection as the software has a live feed to the NSE which is used for downloading NSE data to its back-end database so i gather which means you don't need to maintain a database for the NSE data Secondly make sure you have anti-virus protection on your computer to guard against spyware that may inadvertently be downloaded (i'm not saying this is the case but just to be sure) If anybody has been able to use this software please holla Happy investing |
aktopgun:Halleluiah! and congrats. Your joy shall be permanent in Jesus name and what the Lord has started with you and your family He will bring to perfection unto the day of Jesus Christ . Amen Hope you are thinking of getting him a seat on the board of Directors of Intercontinental, Zenith and ACCESS. I'm sure if you start him early now by the time he's 18 he might just be ready to take over from Jim Ovia Na him be say your investment don pay off be dat! And start teaching him RSI, OBV, ATR, SAR, MACD, Aroon Indicators etc etc you know what they say start 'em young Congrats to you and madam and many many igbosas! |
hbrednic:They have been concentrating too much on the NSE instead of the roads and bridges in desperate need of repairs ![]() |
ololufemi:i join you to celebrate ![]() |
Your quote suggests that is soon as you mentioned a stock people will scramble to buy it I am happy you know it doesn't really work that way, one really have to make an informed decision.
Are you really taking that comment seriously? Gimme a break! its blatantly obvious that it was meant as a joke and if you are taking it seriously i can conclude that either
[li]you don't have a sense of humour[/li]
or
[li]you still have a long way to go[/li]
or
[li]you still have a lot to learn[/li]
or a combination of some or all of the above I don't mean to be patronizing or uncivil to you on this thread but if you took my post seriously as to warrant that response from you then i can't conclude otherwise! |
pumping777:Abi o my broda! |
pumping777:That is why stock-market investment is a whole package fundamentals, technicals and sentiments! |
If this is always the case people that held stocks for so long and wanted to offload might come to this forum and announce them here and wait for the price to move up then they can cash out.
You can try it out to validate your hypothesis if you think that's the way it works. I think that is just being simplistic ![]() I just cannot believe you think its that simple |
pumping777:You are speaking 'semantics' now! playing with words ![]() |
pumping777:All these 'tory' about promoting PET bottlling as opposed to glass bottles will seriously impact the bottomline for betaglass infact it may put them out of business. Once the currency of this story starts gaining ground investors and potential investors alike may panic and send the shares nose-diving. I will tread carefully on that one timing is of the essence! |
pumping777:Didnt see anything that stands out today looks like market activities are winding down for the year but this may change if TS is lifted on FCMB that's about the only market mover i can think of now |
easimoni:Well i like to believe that Husu is not serious just having a laugh but if he is that na another matter o! |
husu:Trust me FBN is just too big and too massive for wanaj0's recommendation to influence the direction of the share price even if he is the unanimous stock field marshall on this forum ![]() |
barge:Seriously i'm beginning to believe that as soon as you mention a stock on this thread it just suddenly develops wings and before you can say Jack Robinson its out of reach |
easimoni:i guess he has his hands full now! |
FatherOF2:Plus and including your 25% strategy another one you have come up with is to buy first and then announce on nairaland! ![]() Na wa o |
