like I replied to Irokoroots... if you were european would u write good things about the African kings/queens that killed your fellow europeans...

people like you seem to forget that the europeans stayed in west Africa for a while after the 1900s and they stayed mostly on islands meaning they could build "empty slave houses" on the coast add chains and other weapons they used on black american slaves and write history that slaves were sold from there...

they fought west Africans till the early 1900s... do you think if there was a slave house in those places you mentioned before the 1900s the other indigenes wouldn't have re-grouped and attacked the place to free their fellow Africans...

even this attack on the Bini empire only happened after the yorubas signed "security agreements" with the british to the war against the british and because the Bini nation fell the Nri (Igbo) nation also fell later before 1914....

Note: black Americans were slaves long before 1914 which means Africans had been fighting the europeans before the 1700s.

like I said to another NL user OldBeer on another thread... even if we learn their intellectual property and replicate it here.. our currency cannot keep the business running because its very easy for a single digit whyte american or british millionaire to acquire a Nigerian or west African multimillionaire or single digit billionaire company...

as black people we are already in europe and america... we can create a black economy in those countries and send money back to west Africa (this is already been done)... but like you said we also need indigenous Africans to learn the skills to, no matter how worthless whyte people make the African currency..

we need to combine our wealth... ₦360m = $1m...

if one whyte american has $1m it would take 360 Nigerians to equal that wealth with ₦360m..

this would lead to brain drain as Nigerians would either have to learn how to earn dollars or foreign currency from Nigeria or travel abroad to work there and become "Nigerian American" or "Nigerian British"..

you made me write an essay... cool cool cool
Sir, I understand the African's disposition to claim the victim mentality now but we should not be blind to history just to make ourselves feel good. Slave trading has been on for long and stronger African tribes and empires have been taking slaves and eventually trading with other African empires and Europeans before Europeans finally decided to annex/colonize Africa to get more than just slaves for themselves. Heck, Oyo takes slaves of other conquered Yoruba tribes and clans long before the colonial era.
This is the rule of the Jungle (the world is a jungle): the strong feed on the weak. The lion on the deer, Oyo on Ede, Genghis Khan(the Mongolians) on the Asians and Iran, the Egyptians on their weaker neighbors, the British(and other Europeans) on the rest of the world from the 19th century to the early 20th century, the Americans from then until now, the Chinese from about 2050 until nature knows when.

We Africans should quit whining and deal with it, it's how the world is. I repeat, : the weaklings will always be food to the strong. The jungle is not a socialist eldorado Now let's get to work, shall we?

DAT was the best they could offer at that time.they believed more in the spiritual.take for example Asoro the great, he almost singlehandedly held the British forces for five days from entering Benin his statue still stands today in the spot he was killed. He needed more than the bows and arrows to accomplish such a feat
Yeah, you get my drift. We still haven't learnt from those lesson s though, we still do prayers when we should be working and mastering foreign affairs and power play. Those who do not appreciate history are bound to suffer from it.

the whites had heavy casualties alot of the British commanders at the vanguard of the expedition did not go home alive. the head of general Philip was seen hanging in the palace when the British finally took over Benin.
It doesn't mean the Binis won right? The Binis were warriors themselves but if you bring spears and bows to a gun fight, you are a goner. The efficacy of the so called Juju has been stretched far beyond what they are really capable of, partly because we Africans needed something to also boast about, partly because of Nigeria's Pentecostals, partly because of Nollywood always slapping "real life story" on stories that are based on fiction, folklore and the writer's imagination. Nuff said.

I used to sleep like that when I was away from home and had to sleep in uncomfortable places. It's just a way to get me off faster. When I got back to my place, the habit stuck for some time until it became uncomfortable(blood tend to accumulate around the knee area and becomes painful) so the habit defeated itself angry
Stop reading meanings into everything, it creates a fear cycle. Change your bed and buy nice double pillows. Buy a fan or A/C too and if your wife's job involves long sitting hours, encourage her to practice yoga/simple stretches. Good luck.

There is a 60-day lock period when a domain is registered, transferred or there is a change to whois. During the lock period, you cannot transfer from one registrar to another. However, lock period does not affect domain push which is the movement of a domain from one account to another within the same registrar. I sell domains on flippa, afternic, sedo, godaddy and namejet but they all have unique rules. Payoneer escrow offers escrow services online, including domain sales, and their service is not bad.
Thanks man. I tried opening an account with Sedo, they sent me a paper that needs to be faxed back, is that a general thing?

Hello Shola, I registered a domain about thirty days ago and I'm sending some outbound email offers using tips I found on namepros. My question is how long before I would be able to do a transfer or a push cos I read vaguely somewhere about lock periods etc. Also what do you use most, Flippa/Sedo/GoDaddy auctions? Also what's your thought on Payoneer Escrow? they have lower fees comparable to others.

Thanks but I don't think I can quit social media tho, I've improved since I made the post. I had a lot of people that helped me out.
Okay, good to know. I didn't quit totally too, I use Facebook for business and stuff, so it's vital to me too, but the way I use it changed dramatically after reading Cal Newport. Good to know you made progress.

Peachess:
I don't really like bringing my problems online but it's really getting out of hand.
I'm extremely reserved, shy and antisocial. I find it difficult talking to strangers and people I'm not really close to. I've tried every method possible to come out of my shell but I'm still the same, I'm not improving.
I'm trying to start a carrier along with my studies, this path I'm trying to go into needs someone that's not shy (cos I'd face a lot of audience). I got selected in the first audition I went for, but I chickened out and didn't go back. My friends dragged me to another audition, I got selected again but I'm scared I'll chicken out again. They're not forcing me, I actually love it (I have a passion for it), but my personality sucks.
I've tried making new friends online (hoping it'll make me open up a little) but I'll stop talking to them for no reason. It really sucks, I don't like the truth but I'm antisocial and need to change.
Walepackage has said alot so I won't try to rewrite that. But I'll add that you have to get out of the online world and go into the real world. They are called 'social media' which is actually very untrue and misleading. Various studies have shown that these technologies that are meant to bring us together are actually drawing us apart. Instead of talking to your brother sitting with you on the couch, chatting with your classmates while waiting for the lecturer or exchanging a few words with the guy sitting next to you in the bus(activities that help us be more sociable), you will be online talking to a 'friend' in Kano and the other party is also talking with a friend in Moscow. It's a challenge we face as millennials and the people that learn to spend less time online and more time forming real world relationships will be happier and lead in their career paths. I'm assuming you spend a lot of time online while indoors, it's a drug a lot of us are addicted to. If you want to break it, go out more. Take walks in the evening if you live in a nice neighborhood, join a gym or a singing class outside of your local church, or join your local church choir if you are not a member yet, better still volunteer in your church's children church. All those places and others related will help you to go out more and meet new faces more. I must tell you before hand that building real relationships takes time. I am also in the journey. Search for 'Cal Newport: Quit Social Media Tedx' on YouTube. He made a really nice argument about reasons to quit. Good luck breaking out of your shell, gracias!

Escoboss:

Yes. Its doable. But dont get caught. Also, dont make it obvious.

However, instead of having to pay people to sign up and place orders so you earn...

You can set out for a public Fiverr orientation whereby you educate masses and evengelize about the platform Fiverr. Its benefits, whats all about, how people can earn from it and also have all their jobs(both petty and sophisticated) done for as little as $5.

... Then at the tail of it, you have them sign up through your link and place order for gigs and as/whenever they do you make your money(You can also give them the actual Fiverr web adress)

However, you will still easily make/convince them sign up through your link when you tell them they can get a 20% Discount on their order using the coupon code given in the offer..(This coupon is only valid when they sign up through your link)
And so they will gladly and of course sign up through your link..

And as they start placing order your money starts rolling in.. As simple as that..! You are not even selling any product, just going out there to get leads for something that will be of benefit to the audience and you behind the scenes know how you will make your money. (CPA) Utilising the potential that thks is a worldwide offer..

A student of mine opened my eyes to this method.. Which also has benefitted another person from Nairaland here after sharing with him. And lately this is what i share with anybody contacting me and complaining of not having funds for paid ad...

A 200l student of mine used this idea and made over $800 in a week without spending a dime..

*What he did*

He simply went to every lecture hall/theatre where there was a gathering of students without a lecturer or relaxing spot (you know as it goes in campuses) and started talking and orientating about Fiverr. As he talked he showed them illustrations with his laptop and explained all benefits of the site and how they can use it to do simple school stuffs and even projects for I. T and final year students... And at the end of every talk he had people signing up from every gathering he approached..
Now you should know what is means to tap into the potential of the massive audience available in any University campus..
He has tried and confirmed it and told me how he made great success and i was happy with that..

Also here on Nairaland, a guy here in Abuja called me and told about his condition of not even having enough cash to start promoting offers but has been following all my threads about CPA and already has a Maxbounty account...
A polytechnic graduate but hustles by means of hawking petty products in buses here in abuja.

I gave him same idea about the student above and he got his own idea too.. instead of hawking stuff what he now talks about is Fiverr.
He practically evangelizes about Fiverr and its potential and have people signing up through the link following thesame 20%Discount coupon routine as described above..
i am still very impressed with this guy and automatically have him slotted to talk about this style of promotion in my next CPA seminar.. Why! Because it takes a lot of courage to go out in those public buses to do any form if public stuff(marketing or whatever) even though it can be somehow profitable..
However, it has paid off for him. Every single day he makes over $50.. am sure you know how hard people like this hustle in thoses shuttle or brt buses. Their sweet mouth and marketing skills, Now forsee using all that to promote this Fiverr offer.. All it takes to make $50 and more is just 2 to 3 leads and that is just from 2 to 3 people from over the 50 people occupying bus which they get to enter almost ten times daily...

I stil get different sort of testimonies from people talking about their success from improvising and testing a promotion method from ideas they had..

So you can think, it won't cost you a thing just your time and sense, boldness and determination

You can also come up with your own style or means.. May not be bus or school.. Anywhere you can think of where you will have access to a gathering that will give you audience willingly or unwillingly..

Yes, Fiverr is popular in the Online sphere. But there are still thousands of people out there yet to know about it.... plus the fact more internet users are springing up by the day and system of doing things is becoming digitalized, you will easily make great progress promoting this offer.. (For as long as it continues to be a CPA offer)

I am really proud of these two guys because i too had never thought of this idea but i have seen the potential in it. And a great idea has birth from this, I will also explore it too..

So, its all about thinking out the box okay. You really dont have to pay people because you wont go far with that... Yes you will make money if you do your washing very well and don't get caught...

However, no need. Just orientate and evangelize about Fiverr. And you will see the rewards as shared by these guys...

At the end of the day i think People will even thank you for introducing something like that to them because indeed Fiverr itself is a great Platform!
Thanks man. Lemme go get to work. I'll be back for thanksgiving offering.

Hi Escoboss, thanks for this amazing offering. While reading about promoting the Fiverr offer, I thought of incentivising people to buy through my link and washing it through facebook. I send them to my FB age, they order through my link for, I get paid. But you mentioned they do not allow incentivising. Is this method not usable? How will the network detect I'm incentivising, in case I do? Please do reply. Thanks.

A short but very insightful contribution. I wish you elaborated more. Thanks...
By 2050(that is 33 short years from now) our population will almost double to about 350m, and we'll be the 4th populous country in the world. Now that is a ticking time bomb if we don't plan and start making things work right. It could also mean immense opportunity, because a huge percentage of that will be a youthful, productive population, coupled with a 'rising' middle class and more cash at their disposal means they'll need to buy more and more economic activity. We'll have to start growing the economy at 7% or more if we want to have a meaningful use for 350million people in 30 years time. 2 or 3 rusty, ineffective ports cannot support that destiny. That is what I was trying to point out the guy harping about Lagos going down after we restructure. Restructuring is supposed to put us on the path of immense growth, to attain our potential as a great and powerful nation. So whether we have 5 or 10 more ports, all will be well served, our sky is big enough to accomodate the birds.

I don't see the need of our leaders sending their wards abroad.

Most of them end up learning nothing different than they would have in Nigerian universities.

Let them meet in CBN and see how a UI graduate would floor this one that went to LSE.

It's not that the schools abroad don't teach so much, it's just that the big men's children don't even care enough to listen attentively in class.

Not forgetting those that ended up as junkies!

Besides, what good is sending your child abroad if he still ends up lacking the ability to create or grow wealth?
Those guys are coming back to continue their father's conquered 'empire'. The truth is he'll likely become a director at CBN while the UI graduate and those that fight for their fathers online fill the paperworks or be their driver.

""Most have admnistrative HQs in Lagos and not production factories.''''

unitary government n the fraud that has gone on for years has made Nigerians not to know how things work.

Wen the SS have full control of their resources, they simply need a state law that will outlaw all oil firms from having a HQ away from their region. It's very simple, Shell u can only mine crude oil from Akwaibom if ur HQ is in Akwaibom, if u can't then AGIP who are willing will take ur place.

Lagos is the only commercial city in Nigeria because the nation is a fraud, on a level playing groung, Many powerful commercial cities will rise in the SE n SS, it won't be difficult.

The whole of SE n SS are always headed to Lagos wen they want to travel because all the embassies n international airports was intentionally kept in Lagos n abuja, do u think it will remain like that

You are yet to understand to what extent other regions are cheated in Nigeria, I just mentioned a few.

With as little as only calabar n rivers state port open, imports going to most of middle belt, SE n SS and all it's taxations, import duties n stuff running into billions will leave Lagos immediately.

Wen the time comes, u will know.
I understand your angle perfectly, you seem not to understand mine. In any case though, it's a good thing. Businesses will have a range of options to choose from, governments will have 'options' too, and talents will work in places that interests them. What I care for is wealth creation that lifts the lifestyle of the overall populace, not whether Shell sits in Lagos or PH, or if Total mines in Uyo or Yola.
NB: I still insist Lagos position as the biggest commercial hub isn't going away anytime soon. If you move your firm from New York to Texas because of tax or because you're Texan, it doesn't kill New York. And the advantages of Sillicon Valley can't be derived in New York. Let's have 20 big commercial cities, it only translates more wealth. The greatness of US is sprinkled in New York, DC, Chicago, Sillicon Valley, etc.

And you know this how? A study conducted or atheists secret confessions? Your point could as well be taken as false. It does not necessarily mean that 'all atheists talk more about God'. Heywood's words, said almost 10 decades ago, is still true today.
