Politics / Re: T.Y Danjuma Worth $1.2bn, Owns International Hotels – Bloomberg by RoyalPriesthuud(m): 3:28pm On Jun 28, 2019 |
wirinet:Lol, joker. If you remove emotions from your head you would know TY would never pay $25mil for an exploration license in a barren field. The comment I replied to was trying to paint Abacha a saint because TY played his game well and Abacha is dead and actual net worth unknown. The process of awarding OELs and OMLs are opaque and corrupt, bringing a 'bias' strawman to my mention doesn't change that. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Frankiss44:Abacha gave him the oil well that he made him a billionaire for $25mil. He would sell half of it ten years later for $1.8bn. How can Abacha be a saint in this scenario 2 Likes |

Business / Re: Jim Ovia: We Need More Private Sector Involvement In Education by RoyalPriesthuud(m): 3:23am On Apr 12, 2019 |
abnot: Education is expensive, but Nigerians are poor or skirting around poverty. 92.x% of Nigerians live on less than $5.5 a day. It is why economic growth in the real sector(manufacturing) is desperately needed to provide high paying jobs. The root cause of people protesting fee hikes is poverty. |

This is commendable. Hopefully coys like Dubai World develop a port in Ondo. I always wonder how a state will have the longest shoreline in Nigeria and not a single functional port. |
Travel / Re: Ibadan Residents Protest Telecom Companies Destroying Their Roads On Twitter by RoyalPriesthuud(m): 4:17am On Apr 11, 2019 |
VBCampaign:Telecom companies pay Right-of-Way per metre/km of cable laid, exorbitant even as par the National Broadband Plan. I doubt it's in their agreements to fix the roads. This problem is probably caused by local officials who pocket the funds and refuse to deliver their end of the bargain. 1 Like |
