kikio1992:The things wrong there are not more than what is wrong with all other states, even Nigeria. The only thing wrong is the info you've been receiving. When the single source of revenue dwindles, you use a large chunk of it to service debts, and the Federal system already made everyone lazy, you must expect what we're seeing today. It's not rocket science or mathematics but plain arithmetics. I don't expect learned people to taunt him for the state's struggling economy(all oil-dependent economies of the world are struggling), rather how he's managing the situation which unfortunately most commentators don't know or just chose to ignore for whatever reason. The guy ran a populist government during his first term, borrowing like crazy. He obviously wasn't expecting a sudden plunge in global oil prices. I loved him back then, but I still blame him for running a socialist government in our age, when history has proven it cannot work. He likes Awolowo too much. 2 Likes |

kcnwaigbo:Your naivety is fantastically' interesting. Successful people, either good or cruel, always have a goal in mind, make plans for it(either obvious or not) and pursue the goal with everything they've got. You think Fayose just woke one day in 2014 and decided to run? Besides, if you actually read the chart, it was not until June 2014 that the money came to Ekiti. To point out another grand move, Obanikoro had incorporated his own cash cow(just like almost every other corrupt crook) about 3 years before money started rolling in from NSA's office. Also, it's a crime if you fund an election beyond the amount stated by the Constitution or the electoral act. |

I said it before. When western politicians are all salvaging the morally right on the alter of political correctness, they take more steps closer to the falling apart of the society. If you are gay/lesbian, I see no reason why you should want a child. They should not be allowed to adopt too. Sooner than I expect, bestials and peadophiles will start campaigning for equal rights too. Nans3nse! |

Surfboard:I gave myself time to actually get your opinion right before I pass my comment, you didn't disappoint When he said he is rigid, any sane critic who understands letters will know that he's simply saying that "he doesn't compromise his standards. He will not join you in doing evil/misdeed". But for someone like you with your subjective mind, what you see is "he is rigid, he is not open to new ideas and better ways of doing things". Nonsense Our world is so distorted that we prefer evil over good, and crooks over the uprights. |

The juju that got me glued to nairaland is the intelligence of minds I met here when I discovered nairaland. The discussions on politics section, expert advices from sections like career, romance, education, etc and balanced educative posts always on front page. I read almost 120 threads in my first 7days of nairaland discovery, reading all the comments and using Google to check the new facts I'm seeing. I was so much addicted to Facebook before I found here accidentally, I would check my Fb timeline almost every hour and never logout for hours, then Nairaland broke the addiction within just 2 days. It was like magic! I didn't even check my Facebook timeline for about 15 days after. It shocked me that I knew so little about the Nigeria I live in. My favorite guy then was Beef(he's gone too, brilliant PDP supporter, the best I've seen from PDP ever), then Obiagelli, naptu2, berem, omenka, barcanista(before he started swinging back and forth). Looking around now, Nairaland is just a figment of what it used to be. You can't even find a single thread with 10 consistent brilliant comments. Politics is suffering from people with skewed knowledge and biased minds. Kids everywhere! You could spend 2 hours on nairaland then moving from thread to thread, learning all the way, now even 15 minutes is a waste of time. Any sane mind will naturally move out, reduce visits, or become passive. Now Quora or yahoo answers is where you should be if you want to learn, or better still read threads from 2013 backwards. When I finally registered late 2014, I thought I would never be healed of NL's addiction, but the stupidity of a lot of commentaries on this forum(look at the first page of this thread for example) already healed me. Obiagelli if you are seeing this, I love you! I respect you! I admire you! I've learnt a lot from your knowledge. I will definitely find you out on Twitter and follow. Thank you!!! Beef left, Obiagelli is gone, Naptu2 please do not leave(at least not yet), I still need more of your intellectual prowess abeg 6 Likes 3 Shares |

Don't expect me to pay 8k out of my 17k for FFK to buy his girlfriend Range Rover Sport, for Jonathan to spend more than 4bn on election campaign and for Mr. Falae to pocket 50m. Direct tax and VAT being deducted, I don't know how it was utilized. I don't even know how much we made from tax returns last year. mentorandfriend:Sir, the story is most probably false and the picture is without doubt false. The pictures are from a clip on YouTube of a tribe in Ethiopia that drinks milk and blood for fattening, for some 'the most handsome(fat)' kind of competition. You can check the clip on YouTube. I watched it sometimes ago. This is long overdue though. I'd like to send you a PM too but Nairaland is faulty or something. |
