I love the courage of the British prime minister, it shows he's not power drunk like most of our African leaders especially the dullard of Nigeria who said and i quote "all dogs and baboons will be soaked in their blood if I should loose the 2015 presidential election.
may God bless GEJ whose ambition is not worth the blood of any man.
You have no right to love Cameron's courage if you still hold true that Buhari made that statement in this age of cheap Internet connection undecided

When it comes to Osun State I just have to shut up....they can confuse for Africa.

Today a guy comes from there and tells me everyone now hates Aregbe and I can't mention his name freely on the street

Then I go online to confirm and I see this kinda post everywhere.

If the guy like owe them 30months salary I won't talk. Many things are wrong over there.

Kindly visit www.kikioTolu.com for the best and unique poems, stories, romance, comedy, funny pics, and awesomeawesome editorials.
The things wrong there are not more than what is wrong with all other states, even Nigeria. The only thing wrong is the info you've been receiving. When the single source of revenue dwindles, you use a large chunk of it to service debts, and the Federal system already made everyone lazy, you must expect what we're seeing today. It's not rocket science or mathematics but plain arithmetics. I don't expect learned people to taunt him for the state's struggling economy(all oil-dependent economies of the world are struggling), rather how he's managing the situation which unfortunately most commentators don't know or just chose to ignore for whatever reason. The guy ran a populist government during his first term, borrowing like crazy. He obviously wasn't expecting a sudden plunge in global oil prices. I loved him back then, but I still blame him for running a socialist government in our age, when history has proven it cannot work. He likes Awolowo too much.

I hope you know its not a crime for someone to fund an election campaign?

BTW op anyone can just put up something like this. What you have here is no proof whatsorever.By 2011 Fayose did not dream of becomming Governor again anf thus could not have benefitted from any arms funds then.He was not not even in PDP by 2011-2012
Your naivety is fantastically' interesting. Successful people, either good or cruel, always have a goal in mind, make plans for it(either obvious or not) and pursue the goal with everything they've got. You think Fayose just woke one day in 2014 and decided to run?
Besides, if you actually read the chart, it was not until June 2014 that the money came to Ekiti. To point out another grand move, Obanikoro had incorporated his own cash cow(just like almost every other corrupt crook) about 3 years before money started rolling in from NSA's office.
Also, it's a crime if you fund an election beyond the amount stated by the Constitution or the electoral act.

As a shareholder of Zenith bank, I feel insulted to have sponsored Fayose's campaign.

EFCC must probe the management because they obviously disguised it as CSR, to think that they are the ones borrowing Ekiti govt. money at crazy interest rates, to the detriment of the workers salary, it appears the extra billions in Fayoses account are kickbacks.

They must all be investigated
I feel your pain bro. I read an article earlier on Nairametrics about how Zenith's stock would have suffered a big blow and a very damaged public image in 'saner' climes(which is right), but hey, this is Nigeria, smh!

I gave myself time to actually get your opinion right before I pass my comment, you didn't disappoint undecided When he said he is rigid, any sane critic who understands letters will know that he's simply saying that "he doesn't compromise his standards. He will not join you in doing evil/misdeed". But for someone like you with your subjective mind, what you see is "he is rigid, he is not open to new ideas and better ways of doing things". The juju that got me glued to nairaland is the intelligence of minds I met here when I discovered nairaland. The discussions on politics section, expert advices from sections like career, romance, education, etc and balanced educative posts always on front page. I read almost 120 threads in my first 7days of nairaland discovery, reading all the comments and using Google to check the new facts I'm seeing.

I was so much addicted to Facebook before I found here accidentally, I would check my Fb timeline almost every hour and never logout for hours, then Nairaland broke the addiction within just 2 days. It was like magic! I didn't even check my Facebook timeline for about 15 days after.

It shocked me that I knew so little about the Nigeria I live in. My favorite guy then was Beef(he's gone too, brilliant PDP supporter, the best I've seen from PDP ever), then Obiagelli, naptu2, berem, omenka, barcanista(before he started swinging back and forth).

Looking around now, Nairaland is just a figment of what it used to be. You can't even find a single thread with 10 consistent brilliant comments. Politics is suffering from people with skewed knowledge and biased minds. Kids everywhere! You could spend 2 hours on nairaland then moving from thread to thread, learning all the way, now even 15 minutes is a waste of time.
Any sane mind will naturally move out, reduce visits, or become passive. Now Quora or yahoo answers is where you should be if you want to learn, or better still read threads from 2013 backwards.
When I finally registered late 2014, I thought I would never be healed of NL's addiction, but the stupidity of a lot of commentaries on this forum(look at the first page of this thread for example) already healed me.
Obiagelli if you are seeing this, I love you! I respect you! I admire you! I've learnt a lot from your knowledge. I will definitely find you out on Twitter and follow. Thank you!!! wink

Beef left, Obiagelli is gone, Naptu2 please do not leave(at least not yet), I still need more of your intellectual prowess abeg

Politics / Why Ajaokuta Steel Company Won’t Function Immediately – Mr. Kayode Fayemi by RoyalPriesthuud(m): 9:42pm On Feb 03, 2016
Minister for Solid Minerals Development,
Kayode Fayemi, has said that the Federal
Government would need to clear all legal hurdles
surrounding the Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited for
it to begin to function.
The minister stated this while defending the 2016
Budget proposal of the ministry before the Senate
Committee on Power and Steel on Tuesday.
He said it would not be in the national interest to
leave the complex the way it is given President
Muhammadu Buhari’s determination to see it up and
working in the shortest possible time.
Mr. Fayemi decried the trillions of naira spent
annually on steel importation into the country and
assured that the resolution of the legal issues
surrounding the National Steel Industry would be
accorded top priority in the year.
The chairman, Senate Committee on Power and Steel,
James Manager, said that the development of any
nation is tied to a vibrant steel sector.
He urged the minister to tell Nigerians more about
Ajaokuta and use publicity to attract interest towards
the company.
The senators stressed the need to raise the revenue
profile of the agencies under the ministry, tackle the
legal challenges around the steel industry, and
explore the Public Private Partnership option in
getting the sector to be up and running.
They also urged the ministry to commence any
necessary legislative process that would aid its work
before the year runs out.

Sir, the story is most probably false and the picture is without doubt false. The pictures are from a clip on YouTube of a tribe in Ethiopia that drinks milk and blood for fattening, for some 'the most handsome(fat)' kind of competition. You can check the clip on YouTube. I watched it sometimes ago. This is long overdue though.
