Politics / Re: Ayefele Building: Protesters Pull Down APC Billboard, Chant 'ajimobi Ole!'(pics) by RoyalPriesthuud(m): 6:50pm On Aug 19, 2018
worlexy:
Let's analyse this scenario from different angles.

1. Ajimobi is angry that Ayefele's fresh FM is giving voice to the opposition to criticize the government in oyo state. That's to tell you that APC are not democrats, they don't like hearing dissenting opinions, they can't stand what they did to the ruling party when they(APC) were in the opposition, they don't respect the rule of law, the demolition case is still in court (Buhari has refused to obey court orders to free Dasuki and Elzakyzaky)
Ajimobi is a dictator, (we remember the popular statement made by him of calling himself a constituted authority), he's so full of himself, please tell him that he's not God, and if he actually demolished Ayefele's buiding cos of personal beef he has for Ayefele, Karma will catch up with him and everything he had also built will be demolished and destroyed while he's alive, but if he's not doing it to punish Ayefele, he ought to have tarried a little for the outcome of court's judgement before he directed bulldozers to demolish someone's properties. Note that El Rufai another APC governor demolished the buildings of his perceived political enemies in kaduna state too.

Ayefele is an entertainer loved by many, his song has brought joy to the lives of many people, but Ajimobi has brought bitterness into the man's life. Ajimobi will not know happiness too

2. Ayefele should have known that politics is a dirty game, he shouldn't have ventured into political issues, he should have known that APC government are not like PDP,
APC crushes the souls of oppositions, they want to rule forever, they are jihadists, carrying sorrows to the homes of those that reject them or their teachings, their army either bomb your body or your souls.
Ayefele next time, don't dabble into politics,
I pray that you will get justice
If you keep telling people to not dabble in politics, don't you see that you're indirectly encouraging tyranny? Life is politics, and people will always air their views. This is just one of many setbacks of life thrown at all, he'll come back, stronger or wiser or both. To run away from problems and discomfort like an ostrich is COWARDLY!

Freetech:
What most of the people commenting above failed to realise is that the only way Nigeria can develop a through redistribution of the Nation wealth. This is the only way business can thrive. The major problems of Nigeria and Africa as a whole is the fact that the purchasing power of the huge population is almost zero. They can't afford new technology. The nation resources is in hand of few who will never patronise local biz but are obsessed with imported goods

This government is doing redistribution right from it's inception in 2015 but turn by turn based on availability of resources.

The farmers were the first set of people to enjoy this. Remember Kebbi rice farmers and Cocoa farmers. Also fertilizer made available for all farmers without middle men

The school lunch program for children of the poor in public school. This apart from the 5k per month for the extremely poor individual.

All these didn't start this year.
It's call social policy.

Then the unemployed youth through N power. Now it is the turn of the Corpers.

The civil servants already have access to housing loan without equity contribution and soon will have a new salary.

This was not possible before because only one person will collect the money belonging to a whole community and pocket it .

If this was done during the 16 wasted years of PDP,, it would have been a great story of development
Redistribution for immediate consumption, financed by debt that your kids are going to pay. You remind me of the story of the old man who squandered his earnings and that of his unborn children.
Politics / Re: Trump Never Called Nigeria A ''Shithole''. by RoyalPriesthuud(m): 3:38am On Aug 12, 2018
Rossikki:

Dude, please spare me all this garbage. You can literally list three quarters of countries on this earth and recite the exact same rhetoric against them as above, and it would apply to them, yet their people do not HATE their nation, and go around calling it a ''shithole''.

Like I said earlier, MANY OF YOU NEED TO TRAVEL AROUND. Not to the US and Europe. But to the rest of the world. The world is NOT a paradise. The majority of people on it are struggling for their daily EVERYTHING. You people are spoiled by your constant exposure to the so called 'First World' where only a tiny, TINY minority of people on this earth live.

Look, for all your complaints about Nigeria, progress HAS been made. You are living a MUCH BETTER LIFE than your forbears. In the 1960s, how many people owned a car in Nigeria? Cars were only for the very rich and highly favoured classes, who made up less than two percent of the population. Majority of our grandparents were too poor to even own a BICYCLE. They walked everywhere, often barefoot. Majority of them were stark illiterates, courtesy of colonial neglect of education. THEY had no choice of emigrating to say Europe or America. Or even Ghana or SA. They had no idea what those places were or what they would do there if they got there. Today, courtesy of the mass education policy of the Nigerian govt which ensured that YOU got educated, you can contemplate the idea of travelling to any country on earth to settle and earn a living. Your illiterate great grandparents would have KILLED to have had such an opportunity. Such a capability.

Electricity? Look, up till about the 1970s, most parts of Nigeria were not even connected to the national grid. This is the same Nigeria that has existed in various forms for over a thousand years. Are you saying all those millions of people who lived and died here without seeing a lightbulb, were all ''in a shithole''? Nope. They never had that attitude. The Benin Empire used palm oil to fuel street lights in Benin City as early as the 1400s. They had underground drainage by virtue of city impluviums they constructed. Their houses ''shone like mirrors'' according to one visitor's account, due to their scrubbing their walls with special chemical herbs. By the 1500s Benin City was rated among the top cities in the world.

The Ife kingdom built pavements on their roads using broken potsherds. You can visit Ife today and still see traces of those pavements.

Why can't our local communities be so proactive today? Everybody sitting around depending on western solutions to problems they can solve, simply by studying their own history and by being creative.

Communications? As recently as the 1990s, majority of Nigerians had no means of communicating beyond travel by foot or public transport. Today you can dip your hand in your pocket and speak to a guy thousands of miles away with no sweat. You can start a business based entirely on your phone.

These are strides your forbears could not even dare to dream about.

I MEAN, I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHO YOU PEOPLE THINK YOU ARE. You think you should have the finest and most up-to-date living standards on earth, when you are only less than a generation removed from illiterate, village, peasant populations under colonial brigandage and oppression. You haven't even worked out how to properly govern yourselves. Which is not a surprise, considering you only gained independence half a century ago.

You fail to realise that you MUST go through teething problems involving societal ills - corruption, civil war, mismanagement etc. YOU MUST, or you will never be that successful nation.

Success means overcoming problems.

If there were no problems, there would be no 'success'.

Many Nigerians talk as if they expect the country to have no problems.

They expect success to simply land on their laps.

''Ah there is oil. So the oil money will be shared equitably and all will benefit, and we can all sit down, hold hands and sing Kumbaya'' .

....''Oh wait...That hasn't happened? We are failed. Useless nation. Shithole.''

A highly simplistic approach to issues.

Go and read the history of any sizeable nation moving from underdevelopment to development.

It MUST be replete with teething problems.

What we foolishly see as ''failures''.

Signs that we have ''failed as a nation''.

I shudder at such displays of historical illiteracy.

Go and study Dickensian England. Victorian England. You will be shocked at the level of mass poverty and deprivation right at the same time they were building iconic, expensive landmarks like Wembley, Buckingham Palace, and Trafalgar Square. Child slavery was the norm. People slept 20 to a room in London, Leeds, Manchester etc. Disease was rife. In all this, a tiny aristocracy lived like lords, literally. This went on for over a CENTURY before changes finally began to make an impact.

That is just the UK. We can call examples from China, from Germany, from Russia, where Stalin slaughtered 20 million of his countrymen on the way to creating his communist state. That is like 10 Biafran Wars occurring at the same time in one country. Yet look at these places today. They've come out smiling.

Lesson: We are evolving, and we must be patient with that evolution. Nigeria will most likely not be a developed nation in your lifetime. Accept that fact, and contribute your quota to making it better for this and future generations. That is what God put you here for. Not to grumble and complain and insult the country all day, all night.

Seeing that you had to write a 5000 word reply to the 6 words highlighted, while ignoring every other part is enough to realize you are not worth debating.
And I am sorry I made you remember how miserably YOUR ancestors lived. Goodbye.

Romance / Re: Chinese Man Marries Muslim Nigerian Girl As He Accepts Islam by RoyalPriesthuud(m): 1:36am On Aug 11, 2018
chineloSA:

That's the biggest problem with most Africans. You have never lived with other races in large numbers. You get deceived by their smile and think they like you. Africans love validation from other races that you go out of their way to accommodate, rationalise and defend their racism.

In their private spaces, they hate you. They only want to make money our of you and that's where it ends. In Uganda so many Chinese people left children as soon as they were done with what they were doing. A lot of Ugandan women are crying today with their kids. Father who is not contactable and a child without identity. Once he is done, he will leave her and go to China and never return .

All races do marriage they want to infiltrate. Nigerians in particular are fond of marrying in any country when they are seeking to infiltrate. This is the oldest trick in the book.

The strategy is infiltrate and dominate. This Chinese just wants to peacefully do business. How do they communicate if they met on the net?

If you think Human is Human, explain why Africans are currently enslaved in Lybia as we speak. Explain why white people despise you that they don't want you in their countries. Why Chinese in China won't let you be.
The few interracial marriages you think are successful does not really mean they are successful. Besides the unsuccessful ones exceed the successful ones. Again marrying a scum who is not wanted by his race does not make him a good person. Most times its because he is rejected by his people and he tries and African.
Again Chinese are abusive towards theiir people and black people. See how they treat their people in factories etc.

Africans are a problem that's why African Americans have issues with you and your call it jealousy. They endure pains for decades of slavery fighting a white man and you land in America and you disrespect their struggle by marrying an enemy that you should be automatically acquiring by virtue of race.

Chinese hate you. Stop deceiving yourselves. Ask Ugandans. No race is for you. They only want to take from you.
As a continent we only need to do business with them and it should end there.
Again, too much generalisations. Business or international trade has always been selfish from NY to Iseyin. You should stop viewing life as a victim and see the world for what it is. Thankfully you admitted Nigerians also marry locals abroad for citizenship or right of pass. The ladies with abandoned kids in Uganda had their own motives as do the husband that absconded. I do not view life from, "I'm black, the world hates me", I take each people, each deal and each country as they come.

And about Africans marrying whites when they go to US and African Americans hating them for "disrespecting their struggles", you can't be more wrong. Their men seem to prefer white women or even hate the black women. Tons of video about the topic on Youtube, you should check it out. Heck, a lot of black celebs don't even date their black skinned counterpart. undecided

NB: I don't necessarily like these "Chinese investments" and the mode in which the Chinese government is slowly sucking us into their orbit with massive debts that are bound to cause problems like it did for Sri Lanka and currently Pakistan. But I don't hate Asians. If we sign bad deals, or allow people to maltreat our citizens, it's OUR FAULT.

I tire oo. The bleaching and the hair just tire me oo. There is no way one can knock some sense into these people.

Some months ago there was a story of one Northern woman who married an Arab in Saudi Arabia. The Arab man killed their two kids and he was about to kill the woman. Fortunately she managed to escape before her planned tragic end.

Sometimes when they are approached by men from other races, no matter what you say, they dont listen. In that moment both ( African men and women ) think they are special until some rude awakening happens.

No race loves us. It is for their sexual gratification or financial benefits or use you in some way or the other. There is never sincerity in these marriages.
Too much generalisations in your post. Because you met a one-eye man at the village outskirt doesn't make it "the village of the one-eyed". There are many more successful interracial marriages for all the bad ones you read. News do not report successful marriages, they report the failing ones. Whatever the motivations for love, love is love. And by the way, "black" husbands kill their "black" wives too. We can't be saying no to racism when we ourselves are racist towards other races. Human is human, Asian or African.

Politics / Re: Trump Never Called Nigeria A ''Shithole''. by RoyalPriesthuud(m): 5:52pm On Jul 31, 2018
Rossikki:
Trump NEVER CALLED NIGERIA A ''Shithole''.

In a private meeting with his officials, he referred to ''African countries in general'' plus Haiti, as ''shithole countries'', asking why the US was allowing people from those countries into the US. He stated that he preferred ''immigrants from Norway''. The whole incident caused a media storm in the US, with charges of racism aimed at the US dictator.

The way Nigerians somehow used this racist's utterances which had NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH THEM, AND DID NOT REFER TO THEM AT ALL, and started to beat up on themselves with it, claiming he called NIGERIA a "shithole" is really shameful and tragic.

Some of you must really have another country somewhere, to be so eagerly spitting on your current one.

Some of you need to realise that when you call Nigeria a ''shithole'', it is your mother's house you are calling a ''shithole''.

Many of you keep thinking you are somehow separate from the country you insult and denigrate each day before the whole world.

But the world doesn't see it that way. AT ALL.

The more you denigrate your country online, the worse you and your children will be treated by foreigners, and by the rest of the world. Guaranteed. And the more you will be hated and discriminated against, and treated with suspicion.

An Igbo proverb says that if a snake pretends to lack venom, little kids will use it to tie firewood.

In an increasingly globalised world, where trust itself is a currency stronger than the dollar, you are shooting yourselves in the foot, by choosing not to criticize the country while still granting it its basic.....dignity.

This is the country of Chief Obafemi Awolowo. Of Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe. Of Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa. Of Mallam Aminu Kano. Of Chinua Achebe. Of Wole Soyinka. Of Tai Solarin. Of Chief Gani Fawehinmi. Of Chief Bola Ige. Of Chimamanda Ngozi-Adichie.

The country of Segun Odegbami, Nwankwo Kanu, Jay Jay Okocha, Finidi George, Rashidi Yekini, Sunday Oliseh, and Daniel 'the Bull' Amokachi.

The country of Chief Osita Osadebe, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, King Sunny Ade, Ebenezer Obey, Tuface Idibia, Wizkid, Tekno, Yemi Alade, among hundreds of other world class luminaries that have stood up and shown the world our huge potential .

A country of luminaries. HOW DARE YOU CALL IT A SHITHOLE? cool

We are a developing country, like 80% of the world's nations. Our problem is that due to our colonial history, whenever we travel abroad we go to the UK, USA, or Western Europe. These countries make up less than 15% of the world population. But for most of us, when describing what happens ''abroad'', we are usually referring to those countries.

We rarely travel to places like Nepal, Cambodia, Senegal, Bangladesh, Peru, Venezuela, Bolivia, Honduras, Ethiopia, Guinea, Eritrea, Colombia, Uganda, Burma, Afghanistan, Mali, Pakistan etc, which is where the majority of the world lives. For most of us, these countries might as well not exist. We never talk about them.

If we shed our colonial complex that tells us that ''abroad'' only means London and New York, and started to really tour the world and see it as it is, maybe even see that things like power outages are VERY COMMON IN MOST COUNTRIES, that corruption is the norm in most countries, that inefficiency, nepotism, crime etc are not unique to Nigeria, then we just might start to hate our own country a little less.

Look, many Nigerians do not feel a sense of belonging to the current Nigeria. If a father treats his children badly, does that mean that the children should love him unconditionally. A father that steals his children's future, unleashes terror on them via the police and does not safeguard them from agressors within and without, signs multilateral deals that destroy s their local businesses, does not provide food security by allowing their farms destroyed, steals the fund for their medical bills and still borrow humongous debts to finance his drinking parties is a father full of shit Trust is earned, so is patriotism.
