Till date, even after a court of competent jurisdiction ruled that lagos state should let the public access to its books, that judgment was never obeyed, till today.

You and I know (I presume so), that many political criminals have been left off the hook of criminal prosecution simply because they joined the ruling party. See Orji Uzor Kalu, Fani Kayode, Ganduje, Rotimi Amaechi (too numerous to mention).
So, for one to be investigated and let off the hook being a sign of innocence in Nigeria is a fairy tale.

I assume I made some clarifications in terms of morals on the person of Obi. I never wanted Atiku to get close to the seat of the president of Nigeria, except when he is placed in contest with no other person but Buhari. If I had supernatural powers. i would have done anything to stop Buhari, but Nigerians simply shut their eyes to all red flags. For the three top contenders - Tinubu, Obi and Atiku, Obi is a saint in comparison in my opinion.

1. Jakande contributed immensely to Lagos development so does Tinubu, it will be a disrespect to underscore his contributions as Lagos state govt. Forget trajectory, Lagos was in the same of PH and some other oil producing states. Those states cannot come close to Lagos in terms of development now. Tinubu widen the tax bracket which ushered in the resources that you’re talking about now. Many governors would still fail even if you laid down all the plans for them cos majority are out there to recoup their investment, if it was that easy, all oil producing states should be like Dubai by now considering their income to population ratio. Tinubu improved on Jakande’s plan that’s no secret.

2. Speaking of Alpha beta, now you want to get down to morals. Nobody is holy amongst all Nigerian politicians in this regards. It has always been padi padi unless you want to pretend like you don’t know. Just like Tinubu having his legitimate accounting firm consult for Lagos state, Obi had invested Anambras state funds in his family business, also Atiku has used in influence as a former NPA boss to expand his business Intels progress. Now tell me why Tinubu’s case becomes a problem now and others are not.
Tinubu’s situation ushered a money generating channel for the govt, State government in the US use private firms to manage and collect their taxes too on behalf of the state, if Lagos state business stays within Nigeria I don’t have a problem with that as long as job is well done.

This is the single reason why I do not support any of the 3 folks, they are exactly the same in terms of morals but none of them come close to Tinubu in achievements as a governor.

3. If I would hire Tinubu as a manager, if those 3 were the ONLY candidates I’d definitely hire a Tinubu instead of Atiku or Obi. But in the case of 2023 election, we have over 16 candidates yet NIgerians choose just those 3 which I found very annoying, but it’s all good. Those 3 are all desperate don’t be deceived, infact Obi is the most desperate judging how he used religious and ethnic lines that has been a fainted line in our country, he got there and unleashed the old wound.

Again, my only problem in my opinion with Tinubu is his health… that’s why I never supported his candidacy. Now that election is over, I’d gladly support him.

Tax revenue grew in lagos under Tinubu, but that was done with motives and because he was pressed at the time. Saying he used 'his legitimate accounting firm...'. I hope you know he denied ties with the company when he was indicted? That act was criminal in Nigeria- using your public office for personal gain. He was taking 15% out of Lagos internally generated revenue, we are not talking about federal allocation yet. If he had done that after office, and the company had been vetted, no matter how shambolic, that would have been ok. tinubu claims he 'owns lagos', and rightly so.

Coming to Obi, it was no family business he invested the state funds in, his investments also cuts accross several other establishments. including nigeria states (through bonds). Obi was careful not to spend the state funds carelesslly, he even denied himself his entitlements- which nigerian politician has ever done that? Do you know he was impeached twice? you may need to find out why.

i actually encountered him during his valedictory ceremony as a governor, and thereafter, i spoke to anyone who cared to listen about how this is one of a kind in this country. He had said, and still says, that if you have anything against him, and show him where he has spent a kobo out of the state fund recklessly, that he will drop out of this struggle. 'Recklessly' also includes inflation of government contracts, etc.

Obi did not come into politics for gain , he came to serve. He made up his mind the day he witnessed bakassi boys killing some 'thieves' without trial. He ended god-fatherism in Anambra, changed the educational, health and agricultural status/fortune of the state.

The reason I feel he is the best candidate in this race is because our leaders have wasted our resources, plunged us into damaging debts, and the other frontline politicians personally do not stand for anit-corruption, let alone ending the corruption in the system, except Obi, going by their antecedents- unless of course he changes tomorrow. But i strongly believe that if he was able to survive Anambra, where political wolves existed with federal might, he will be the one to succeed in steering Nigeria to the right course.

1. Tinubu’s contribution to Lagos development can never be rivaled anywhere else in the country. His contribution is in the class of Lateef Jakande and the Awolowos. The invincible wolves? If they exist, I don’t see them affecting his performance, he always have a good eye to spot performers like him. Again, only his age can’t affect his performance.

2. Buhari only did well in infrastructure. Outside of that, everything else is trash. Which mostly explains Tinubu’s reluctancy to support his second term it’s like … this is not the promise we made to Nigerians kind of vibe.

Great points. but don't you think the two politicians you mentioned did way greater things considering the amount of resources at their disposals in comparison. Also, I think they already placed Lagos on a trajectory that will make it obvious if any subsequent governor fails to deliver.
Now, compare those other two leaders to Tinubu and tell me what you think about their characters. Again, what do you posit as regards Alpha beta, and all the private property and wealth acquisition as a result of conversion of state resources using political powers.
