Pele
Try to stop your products for now.
What soap and cream does he use?
Boots soap and coconut oil. Used to olive oil, which I swapped about 4weeks ago. That's all I apply on his skin. The rest of d body is very ok o, just face and neck.

Good morning
Just porting from the pregnancy thread
My DS is 9days today

Pls I need help.....
There are sores on my nipples n breast feeding hurts......
Really hurts.....

Do we know any remedyhuh?
Am so scared feeding him ??
Wow. Just 9 days? Baby isn't latching well, that's the cause. I felt pain too, which lasted for like d first 30secs of feeding but never had sores. I once asked here and lansinoh nipple cream was suggested, so I suggest same too. Meanwhile try to ensure baby latches well, part of the areola needs to be in baby's mouth. Although with time, baby will learn to latch properly.

Just know it will get better. Pele

Yes heat rashes can appear on the face and It isn't compulsory to oil his face sef.
He can be fine without it. Remember, our body produces natural oils too and some skins can be quite sensitive.
Ok, will try that for a few days and see how it goes. How about the neck? Should I do same?
HealthRe: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by rvpbae: 9:53pm On Jun 08, 2018
JGracious:
What kind of rashes? Are you sure it's not caused by heat. If it is, reduce the layers of his clothing.
You can also stop rubbing oil on his face and neck area.
I think it is but does heat rashes appear on the face as well? In place of oil, what can I use?

Mummies please help my pain

My 12 days old baby was circumcised today and the hospital used the traditional method of cutting. I've been crying for my baby since.

I was going to take him elsewhere, don't know y I let them go ahead. I am still in shock of it n trying to change focus to how to maintain it till it heals.

He was given pain reliever and we were told to apply penicillin regularly. I can't remember if they told me how how often to apply it. Pls how often?

Was this method used for any baby here, can someone guide me on what to expect? And what to do? I can't find info on it and I'm beginning to get worried already.

I can feel n see that he's in pain sometimes.

Pls help me
Chai. Even us that did plastibel type didn't find it funny, talk more of traditional method.

We were given both paracetamol and vit c drops. Para was for 3days and vit c we gave for about a week to help d wound heal.

We were asked not to put anything till it fell off, after which I religiously applied penicillin at every opportunity plus I wore a bigger sized diaper.

Pele dear.

Congratulations Mama...God bless you new born baby

Kindly confirm if this happened at Anua lipsrsealed
I did my first Antenatal there and I am hoping to register again by next week

Let me know whether to run away or try again.
I still don't plan to give birth in Uyo
It is quite obvious power has changed hands there, that's why she was treated that way, because i used to hear good stuff from people who used there waaaay back. As in, I'm seething with anger on her behalf.

And I have a family friend who plans on putting to bed there o, she is equally a ftm. She has started antenatal sef.

It is well.

Thank you ma.
We all thought it won't happen again that day since I wasn't feeling anything.
The hospital is st Luke's hospital Anua in Uyo.I don't know the DR's name.
God bless you ma
Mama I am really sorry you had to go through that, like I truly feel bad for you. Their behaviour is totally inexcusable. As a FTM, such experiences can scar and frighten you.

The hospital is blacklisted on my end here, i used premier and I absolutely loved my stay there.

Thank God you and baby are well.

Follow on milk aka formular from 6 months.
I introduced aptamil at 7 months up till them it was breast milk. the follow on milk is usually tagged as a number 2 or stage 2. So which ever brand you get, be it Aptamil, SMA, Enfamil, Similac, NAN, or other will have a 2 somewhere on the pack.

You can make your choice based on budget and how your baby tolerates it. Different people have different experiences so don't buy a carton to start with especially if your baby has been EBF since birth.

From 1 yrs
There are some stage 3 milks for toddlers but all you really need is Normal whole / full cream milk from 1 yr old. This is because at that age, milk should no longer be your child's main source of nutrition as they should be eating a reasonable amount of varied solid food.

These are also more expensive than your normal can of milk, as they are fortified with a whole range of vitamins and minerals however it may be cheaper to get a separate toddler multivitamin syrup and use your normal milk when your baby turns one. That way you don't have to be buying separate milk for different people in the house.

I typically use Nido, I just upped the can size. But mamas will suggest other full cream powdered variety. As I understand there is a filled cream option which is different from the full cream milk.

Me, I can never find NL posts when I want to. not sure what I am not doing right , so have stopped sharing oh jare,! grin I just copy the post and save on my notepad on my phone.
Thank you for this. I truly appreciate. The problem with saving on my notepad is that sometimes I unknowingly delete them. Also I change phones quite often.

No mind them. Looking for who to disfigure the tummy. If your hand can't enter the water without you doing aishh, no try put it on me
Lol. My mama kuku sabi me, don't bring that shiiiit close to me. We did warm water for like 2weeks and that was it. The 2weeks sef na off and on. The only thing I think really works is drinking lots of warm fluid. I drank warn water for 1month plus.

All in all, i think we need to give ourselves time to heal, then start healthy diet, definitely weight will drop. Weight loss is 80% food and 20% exercise.

You can't really force it, you just have to keep offering.

Ask him what he wants or if he wants what you are offering, everyone has moods of what they want. If he says yes- give and see if he will take it. If no - don't stress.

I usually tend to put snacks in a bowl with a bottle of milk and drop it on a stool or on the floor, and just let my Dd know it is there. You will be surprised one day he will bring empty plate back to you and ask for more.

Children have a weird sense of what they think is being independent.

Pele this motherhood na trial and error!
Just quoting so I can revisit your posts when we get to that stage grin grin.

I read back that you only give water and milk. What kind of milk pls? Powdered mixed with water? Pls explain.

Also which would u recommend as follow up milk at 6months?

Thanks

Pele. It's either that or u endure. When I was preggy, mine started in 3rd trimester. Anytime I stretch like this, it will hook me. I kinda got used to it, I no dey over stretch. Once it starts, na to start countdown till it relieves me or i just manage to place my feet on the ground. Mine was even back to back and I didn't take calcium.

Please is anyone using these kind of lunch boxes in the pictures attached below and does it keep food warm and where can I get it if it does.

Secondly, for those with one year olds, what do you typically pack as food for them for day care, I'm running out of ideas and how often do they eat in a day. Jazzyj..azz, hunniesu..zzie, Enq..ue, Zayn..ie, Queensn..ow, Alphahandm..aiden.

Hope I make sense, MS is making my brain fuzzy
As per the plates, there are different types. They have the plastic ones, which doesn't keep warm and the ones that keep food warm. Check out lushluxurykids on IG and ask your questions, she get orishirishi, and quite affordable. She equally sells thermal lunch bags that helps keep food warm as well.

K, I guess he's more than two months? Gently n carefully apply agnesia or raving powder( mixed wth a drop of water) on the affected parts once a day especially as soon as he baths. Don't apply every time, once a day for two days is ok.
He will be 2months in 4days. I'll try the the agnesia and give feedback after a few days. Thanks
