Is the economical suitation so bad in the UK?

Not so so well but I'm okay, and my business is moving at a good pace. I make enough to maintain my family, eat well, ride a decent car, live in a decent apartment and a little leftover. I'm very much okay with that. I'd rather remain here than go to a strange land where I will be homesick, miss my friends and family and face racism or do jobs that I will never do in Naija.

And yes, UK is facing economical downtime. Its so hard to get a decent job. Prices of goods and service, including cosumable are so high. You can barely make enough to cover for house rent. There are chances that you might become homeless.

The United Kingdom has been hovering around depression for quite a while. Everyone I know in UK is complaining seriously.

For japarians, it is not a choice destination presently. You might end up homeless. You can barely get a job that will be enough to pay for a studio apartment. You can be working 10 hours daily and still be homeless. Think well.

Canada, USA and Australia are better.

But for me, I will remain here. Naija dey okay for me.

Life has no meaning. We only come to this life to live, eat, get sick, hustle, struggle, suffer, fvk, give birth and die, and then the memory of everything dies with us like we never existed before.

What then is the essence of life?

Anything can kill you at anytime. You can wake up tomorrow morning to discover you have cancer or stroke, you suffer severe pains for a few more years or even months and die. That's the end. You can go out in the morning and just die from car accident or stray bullet or anything.

This dude is a super wealthy man. He has gone now, like he never ever existed. Everything is blank to him. No memories again, nothing.

What then is the essence of life?

When I see people committing suicide, I appreciate their efforts and boldness and temerity to do so. Let them just die. Everyone else will die nonetheless and death itself is an escape from life's troubles.

Life is not worth it abbeg.

Let not a single religious person quote me and start talking about heaven or hell. There is nothing like afterlife. If you want to argue, bring your proofs and show me the person who went to the afterlife to tell the tale.

I can't. I don't have the liver. I don't have the mind. I will pass out or just die. I can't take it.

When wifey gave birth to our son, it was through CS. She was rolled into the theatre and was there for about an hour or thereabout. I was waiting outside the theatre. So many thoughts was running through my mind. It was the longest one hour of my life. I believe I went through much stress mentally than she went through.

They brought my son out first and that mvtherfucker was looking just like my Dad (Still does till today). I held him for a few seconds and gave him back. I didn't know if I should be excited. The feelings and emotions was mixed. My mind wouldnt come down until I'm sure my wife was fine. I kept asking the nurse, "Please where is my wife, hope she's fine". They kept telling me, "She's very okay sir. You'll see her soon"

And then they rolled her out. She was weak. She looked at me and just smiled a little. I was relieved. My BP went down from like 500 (I'm sure it should be more than) to normal rate.

We are all slaves to our own passion. My passion is my family and this is same for everyman.

As much as I love Osimhen and I believe he's a good player now doubt. But I still don't get the hype TBH.

To me ,he hasn't been on par with previous Africa's best.The likes of Salah, Mane and Yaya... He maybe he's the best the continent has to offer for now (based on his Napoli form) but they should just tone down on the hype. Even his performance so far at this AFCON is pretty poor if we are being honest with ourselves.

I stand to disagree with this view! Blogging is more lucrative now than ever before. I own a tech app where I also blog and also own a geolocation app where users from a particular location get info and talk about happenings around them.

Whatever app you own where people talk whatever they like is not blogging.

On the topic, I consider myself an authority. I have been into blogging and I have trained bloggers in the past.

Here is the thing.

There are different types of Blogging.

1. Linda Ikeji's kind of blogging where you have a website where people can type your url on their browser.

You see this one, its not profitable again. Don't waste your time. Your almighty Linda Ikeji and Stella and Olorisupagirl and all of them are losing traffic by the day. The only saving grace they have is the small traffic that comes through Google Search. If you are thinking of having your own website or blogger to start a blogging business, you are in for a long thing. Its not worth your time and effort. People don't visit blogs again.

2. Tunde Ednut kind of blogging where you use social media to post different things that comes to your mind.

Social media is the real thing now. If you know your way around it, you can be the next gistlover or Tunde Ednut. People wont type your url on their web browser but they will like to follow your Instagram and Facebook pages if you have something interesting and stupid to offer. Yes, something stupid because most social media bloggers post stupid stuffs before they can blow. People don't like things that make sense.

And if you want to go through this route, you must be really dedicated because the number of social media bloggers out there is mind boggling. Hundreds of new pages are created everyday with the aim to be like Gistlover or Tunde. The competition out there will kill you. But this one seems like a better route for you.

But if you are my brother and you ask me for advise, I will just tell you to go and do something else with your life.

Let them hire a good coach from their country.

Growing up with my family, I grew up not liking my dad but liking my mother so much that I can go to the extreme for her. It all started like this;

While we were growing, my dad having like 2 wives never really cared about us. Not even our steps siblings who are older than us. Their own even worse, they struggled and worked hard to get what the want with little or no help from our dad. Except for 1 or 2 out of 7 of them, the rest stopped at secondary school (public). My dad had no intention of being responsible for them.

Back to myself and my brother which are the only kids my mom gave my dad, he never still feels responsible.

Throughout my primary, secondary and tertiary years, I can't pinpoint one time that my dad bought sandal, cloth or anything for us. The only drug my dad has ever bought for us when we are seriously sick is paracetamol, even if we have serious sickness, he doesn't care. All he does is to call my mother to come take care of us (my mother doesn't stay fully with us because it won't even be convenient in such house with step mom but whenever she comes, she could spend a week).

Infact he was un-interested in sending us to school but thanks to my MOTHER. Though she didn't read well as she stopped as primary 5 or so but she said that she vow that she will train her children to school if they are ready to learn. Myself and my bro were ready to learn and my mom entered debts just to make sure we go to school. I could remember giving up when I gained admission, my dad already told us that he didn't send us to go to school ooo. I didn't know how my mother did it, she came home and gave me the acceptance fee and school fees with some other money. ( I cried before and after the incident, I don't know how this woman got this money but I'm sure she took loan).

Sometimes our step mom gets jealous thinking it was my dad that was doing those efforts for us but never did she know that all was my mom. I won't deny, dad contributed little but it was by force, begging his friends to plead to him to pay part of our school fee and all. But he is always boisterous of the fact that his sons are in school and all which angers me to see him boast with me especially.

Till now, I still don't feel responsible for my dad well-being. I have tried adjusting myself to loving him well but I can't. I just like him and respect him as a father but for my mom, I will do anything for her. I will go hungry for her, I will starve for her.

Nairalanders, it's being like 3 or 4 years I went to see my dad even though his place is not too far from me. He has been calling me several times that he wants to see me but I have always told him that I don't have time.

My problem is, my dad has never changed.. He is always concerned about himself, all he ask is money. He hardly calls to check up, except when he need money.
Since I started working, I have never defaulted in sending him money every month but I send my mother 3 times or even 4 times what I send my dad. After all, he has our step brothers and sisters he can always ask for money. So I don't really care about him.

One statement he usually makes since we were small "Go and meet your mother". He doesn't feel responsible for our needs, all na our mother.
Though he gives us daily feeding while we were growing and living under him but thanks to my mother that pays food vendors around to give us food whenever we are hungry because my dad doesn't give us enough.


Many stories but I can't say all...

Nairalanders, I still feel guilty as to why I don't like him. It feels like I have not forgiven him but to be honest, I have no issue with him.

How can I free myself from this guilt?

You might be totally wrong in your assumption about your father.

African fathers don't tell their kids they are broke, they only shout at you and say "Go and meet your mother"

Those times you thought he didn't care, he was probably very broke.

The crazy part is, your mum must have fed you ugly stories about your Dad while growing up which have made you resent him so much. Trust me, he is niot as bad as you think.

I thought my Dad was wicked until I grew up to become a man. He was just a poor man who would have done more if he had money

1. Appreciation and Depreciation of Currency is not related to race or color. It isn't who is the President either; be he Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba. It is basically about the production of goods and Services and the demand of your products in the World market. A confused Country that produces almost next to nothing will never meet up. Policies only control your Currency, not the value of other Countries' Currencies against yours.

2. A Country where over 500 Industries died within 30 years must be Stupid to complain of Depreciation of her Currency. We keep killing local industries and expect policies to make it up, it's a joke sir. Don't use China as an example of depreciating Currencies and strong economy. China produces and may attract more export with that strategy, unlike Nigeria that produces nothing.

3. A Country where someone made away with $2+billion simply to be shared, is already a doomed one in terms of monetary policy and value. A Country that produces a Dizeani and a Bafarawa, who spent billions to appease Demons. Those money without economic value is an economic waste and poison injected into the system.

4. A Country that favours importation over local production is doomed because it creates employment for other Countries while sacking her own Citizens. Some people are working in Michelin and Dunlop somewhere, yet we use the tyre here. Don't tell me about the principle of comparative advantage here; it's not applicable.

5. A Country that exports all raw materials without adding value to them, is shameless to talk of depreciation of her Currency, and will later re-import finished products of those materials, is the peak of daftness. A bag of Cocoa will go for, like N1million Naira, but when it is processed, its worth is around N7million. Even farmers who produced the raw Cocoa can't buy the end product... Chocolate!!

6. A Country that deliberately operates a banking system that gives loans to importers at the expense of local industries, is doomed and should say nothing about depreciation. Most of the loans are given to Senators and Representatives not industrialists.

7. A Country that gives loans in billions to the agric sector without monitoring & evaluation of such loan on how it gets to the real farmers, is a Sham. A guy collected over N2 billion agric loan, he bought a Jeep, built a nice house and used the rest to import processed Pork. Meanwhile, local Pork Farmers are dying here. Is that not double tragedy, stressing Forex and at the same time killing local industries.?

8. A Country that spends more on few privileged politicians at the cost of the populace who are unemployed, should not talk about money depreciation. A Country that keeps paying NNPC Staff N10 billion as Salaries every month, when a single drop of Petroleum Products was not processed, should shut up about depreciation of Currency. The only value-added product to the system is rising Crime and Criminality!!

9. A Country where it is difficult for investors to register businesses because of the demand for bribes by governent officials. Right from the Airport to the Hotel; to the Ministers and to Governors, investors will bribe. All these are part of cost of investment. A friend brought an investor on Estate Development just for the State Commissioner for Lands to demand 30% of the investment! To see the Governor in a State will cost you N2 million as bribe before you can be scheduled. This is a State as poor as anything.

10. A Country where the cost of travelling for treatment abroad by government officials will build World Class Hospitals, should not talk about Naira against Dollar parity. Money taken on that trip is part of stress on forex. Same as forex spent on Pilgrimage. Let religion fanatics keep off me here. Without going to Mecca or Jerusalem, you can still make heaven. Yes! You waste forex on Pilgrimage and later talk rubbish about forex. Pilgrims get Dollars for N160 while industries get it for N350! Is that not Crazy ?

11. A Country where a
few people have access to Federal Reserves and those few can get loans, not because of what they can produce but the connection they have... Is that Country not doomed already?

12. A Country where we import what we produce because it's "Cheaper" to do so, is doomed.

13. A Country that has Arable land and teeming idle youths but still complains of hunger, should not talk about Currency depreciation. It's not only annoying but nauseating.

14. A Country where free money flows can never control inflow and outflow of Forex. Imagine someone who wants to hide his loot went to "Aboki", the Forex dealer, to buy Dollars worth $50 million just to hide it in the basement of his house. That money has no economic value, yet it deprived those companies that needed it to import raw material. The same Companies go to "Aboki" to buy the hard Currency at exorbitant price.

15. A Country where a strong Bank owner can influence Shares from within the Stock Exchange floor to inflate their Shares' worth from N20 to N150, crash the same Share to N30 and ready to buy it back at N28, all within a year. Forget it, the Currency will never appreciate in such an economy.

16. A Country where Banks are involved in round- tripping and inflated cost to siphon money, is doomed. A Company wants to import Caterpillar worth $50,000. A Bank made the forex for such import $550,000. Meanwhile no Caterpillar was imported at last, yet the money faded into private accounts. Who strained the Forex exchange rate in that case?
