CareerRe: Please advise me on this dilemma After Nysc by SamuelLoch: 4:26pm On Jan 03, 2021
BrainBright:
pardon my grammatical and typo error.

I completed my NYSC , March last year, got a job with with a company outside the country that pays 60k per month, though I work from home which allows me to go about other daily Businesses . After the lockdown I got a farm land of about 2 and 1/2 acres of land and planted cashew and it's developing already ( I paid labourer for everything since the nature of my health doesn't permit me to do hectic/ stressful work). I have been able to save 300k already because I eat at home. This year I intended to to get a shop near one of the fed. Polytechnic so I can be making photocopy and online registration for them just to augment my monthly earning, but I came across a thread here on nairaland some weeks back and now I'm considering to go for training and open a chemist or a retailer pharmacy, I was told starting a pharmacy will require like 2million upward, I'm considering of saving through the training period and getting loans to start the pharmacy, and 4 years time too the cashew should be able to give returns of 1-5 million per annum.

"PLEASE ADVICE ME AS A YOUNGER ONE", I want something that will still sustain me financially even when I start having my own family. I'm 29 already.

✓ should I go for the photocopy or the retailer pharmacy?
✓ is there any other good business idea you can suggest? ( Nature of my health can't do hectic/ stressful work)
✓If you have any experience on chemist/pharmacy please advise me.

lalasticlacla please help
Retail pharmacy gives more advantage than the photocopy business.
An investment that is booming now is Bitcoin (Cryptocurrency) and Forex, and you can do it yourself. If you don't trust any of them, then go digital. Work from home and save some more cash.
I don't have any personal experience about running a pharmacy but I know someone who runs one.

Has anyone used this app, please share your experience.

One more question, can you access your digital national ID? Thanks!

FamilyRe: Help!!! My Dad Still Smoking Weed In His Old Age!!! by SamuelLoch: 12:44am On Dec 31, 2020
Emperormartin:
Compliments of the season to all nairalanders...

Please I noticed a disturbing scenario playing in my house as I came back for xmas... My 67yr old dad use to smoke weed (Igbo) in our sitting room.

When we were younger, he use to smoke outside and occasionally smokes around the house especially late in the night or in the wee hours.

As a matter of fact I'm 30yrs and I have another younger brother who's 27yrs then my sister who's the youngest. But Non of us smoke weed or have toed in his line... My mother has tried in that aspect not to raise us like that!!!

I brought this issue here because I need help on how to make my aging dad DESIST from that lifestyle... It breaks my heart seeing him popping smoke like that and it's degrading when we have visitors in the house... And secondly I'm wary of his health!!!

Pls help a Brother!!!
Please, don't consider the voices that said you should let him live that way. He's not getting any younger and his system weakens with age.

If I were you, I would start by gathering my siblings so y'all can have a word with him. Let him know what he's toying with, the health implication, and the stress that comes with it especially for family members.

This is not a guaranteed solution but its the beginning of something. Please, surf the web for working solutions to stop smoking.

That is because you don’t have a recipe. So you don’t really know what you are doing, somedays you’ll get it- other days...blahhh. That was how my stew game used to be, till I got a recipe.

You need to be particular about your ingredients and TIMING. grin

Apologies on the abuse o. At least she get wetin she dey do for una.
That recipe and timing is the secret.
I didn't mention how I leave the kitchen back to playing games, continuing a series or resuming work. By the time I remember or perceive what I'm cooking, its probably too late cheesy

There's one important item you miss out in all your posts even though I am sure you know how important it is for beginners.

@SamuelLoch, as a starter, you don't have to put all the things used in cooking a particular soup, just the necessary ones. That's how I started my own anyways.

Now lemme show you how to cook Egusi soup as beginner.

Things you need.

Water.
Red Oil(good one)
Salt
Onion
Pepper
Ugu Leaves
Magi
Fish.
Beef
Crayfish
And Chilled Bottle Of Macdowell whisky[I have no idea why Poco doesn't recommend this?] or any other blended gin of your choice. Igabada kai kai is also recommended.

*Some add tomatoes but I don't*.

Let's Get Started.

1. Set the pot on your stove(fire) and pour in a cup of water.

2. Open the Macdowell.

3. Wash the beef or fish or both(if you can afford them) with clean water and put them in the pot.

4. Before you proceed, sample the Mac to check for quality.

5. Add some ingredients that you normally use to cook meat, eg. Salt(a little) magi, sliced onion etc and stir small.

6. It must be just right! To be sure the macdowell is of the highest quality, pour 1 level cup of mac into a glass and drink it as fast as you can. Don't Repeat.

7. Mix the ground egusi with water and set aside. Please don't make it watery.

8. Wash the ugu leaves, slice them and set aside.

9. Meanshile, it's important to make sure the Mac is of the finest quality-try another cup.

10. When the meat is almost done, use a tea spoon to put balls of the Egusi into the pot. Please don't stir after putting them. Cook until the balls of egusi starts to break on its own.

11. Now Take another shot of the Mac for consistency.

12. When the egusi starts to break, add red oil and stir.

13. Sample the Mac again to be sure the heat hasn't affected the quality.

14. Add the rest of the items and stir. Cook for 3 minutes.

15. If you are still awake by this time(I hope you are) then drop the soup and start arranging for the garri, poundo, or semo that you will use to enjoy the soup.

I know you must be wondering why you have to drink all that alcohol while cooking?

Well, I will tell you...

First, it keeps your mind in clear state.

2. It will give you something to blame if you use too much salt, pepper or water.

And finally, It will help turn your stomach against food if the soup is tasteless and impossible to eat.

You're welcome.

You wan learn about any other soup?

Just ask.
Amazing!
I would have replace the alcoholic drink with Hollandia Yoghurt but I won't have the appetite to eat after cooking. Lemme just stick to the one that would not turn my head upsidedown.
Anyways, nice tutorial!

That's because the abuse is for me and my friend. cheesy

I've started cooking myself but on a scale of 1 to 10, I would say 3. Its like Glo's network, today it taste good, tomorrow we have to manage, recook or dispose it.
Except fried plantain, eggs, noodles, fried chicken/Turkey/fish and the simple ones

Your foods don't necessarily have to be/taste like what this afò nri is posting to be great. You're good so far it doesn't kill you after you eat it.
You're right, I've improved now.
Even though, the salt and Maggi issues still happen.
If it'd not enough, I'd say "I don't like seasoning because of my health"
If it's too much, I'd blame it on those who said I houkd add more.

Truth is, I'm not good at cooking, plus I think I'm lazy to cook.

Before the lockdown, my friend's girlfriend cooks stew and soup then we manage to take it up from there or eat out. Sometimes we forget to warm the stew lol!

Even though she has issues, we find a way to let it slide.
Before the lockdown, she travelled then we were eating out until the lock down, mehn! I was finishing Cornflakes and milk in three days

PhonesRe: Mobilecart34 Scammed Me 60k by SamuelLoch: 9:07am On Dec 26, 2020
@Sociologymajor, don't give up your hard earned money because you wanted to get yourself a gift. You can get it back! At worse, you'd safe others from getting scammed if you can't get yours back!

Please, start with PayStack. It is much easier with PayStack! Disturb their fraud desk support team to release the guys details. They might not want to, so get one or more persons who have been scammed by that same scammer.
You might want to include CBN's fraud desk mail address in the Cc. That should make PayStack act faster.
This would be done by sending a well composed email, because CBN would get a copy too.

I don't think there's anything your local bank can do here, but if you feel they can provide some support, include the fraud desk email address in the Cc also. You can send the network provider a message, let them know what he did with his SIM card. You might get lucky if you reach out to NPF on Twitter.

This can be done in a day.

Later, you might need a court order so the scammer's details can be released to you.

At your leisure, try to dig more on your own. Just do some inspection, those guys are not perfect with their dealings. They usually leave a flaw.

You shouldn't have gone through this at a time like this. I really hope that you'd recover this and more.
Season Greetings!

ProgrammingRe: PLEASE, Help Me Make A Choice From These. by SamuelLoch: 3:09pm On Dec 15, 2020
These fields require prerequisite knowledge but with time you'd get better.

Video editing might require more than just a laptop, in the long run. Also, it might require more expertise because it's in the creative industry.
Gigs may be scarce too because most jobs would be handled by who shot it or directed it.
However, it's pays well but you may have to link up with directors, videographers and the likes to bring money home.

Web development is competitive and wont take as much time as Video Editing. Learning this can be boring at first (because it's coding), but it would bring money in faster till when you can add more skills. You can easily buy templates, edit them and fool your client.

I met her at Iyana Ipaja Lagos few days ago.

She was new around there, I saw she was tensed and I inquired about her destination.

We were going to the same place, we sat together, I paid her t fare then we alighted and she was happy to give me her contact and expressed her gratitude as well.

I chatted her and noticed she was a bit dismissive, maybe she thought I was going to toast her, so she had to say she was married.

I believe the marriage gimmick just 10%. I have reasons for that.

ASIDE: She looks like "hustle" girl sef.
OP, your messages were too much! She didn't ask you for explanations!

2simple:
Life is all about a choice.
You can choose to be poor as you would also choose to be rich and the decision is yours.

I only want to do this because information as they say, is power.
High frequency trading(HFT) has successfully quell my wants for job and I'm now planning setting my own business that will be employing people to work for me in the nearest possibly time.

Have been trading on vandera for over 5 months now and I can successfully say, I'm paying myself 200k every month, which kind job will give me such money easily in the country now? The great news is that as I reinvest, I also increase my monthly profit, though I start with small capital but I'm happy where I am today.

What you need is a smart phone or computer with data and every blessed day, you trade on a given signal and every 24 hours your capital and profit will drop.
Then you repeat again next day.

If you are interested, you can WhatsApp me on 07010261010 and I will put you through.

As I said earlier, to be poor and to be rich is a choice.

Below are my successful trades
