AnonPoet: https://sunnewsonline.com/taraba-group-cautions-governor-over-alleged-wasteful-spending/ I don't agree with you on the education policy, no amount of investment done on education is a waste, even before the advent of Kefas's free education policy most schools lack basic infrastructures, in the state university and colleges students normally received lectures from the windows of their lecture theater, so the fact that there are two hundred pupils in a class receiving lesson, which I doubt anyway, does not make the policy a wasteful venture, what this governor need in that sector is prayers and encouragement, we should not be unmindful of the smile he has put on the faces of the less privileged who ordinarily would not have had the opportunity of being in school |
Politics › Re: Hope Uzodinma Pushed For Lawan As APC Consensus Candidate - Lukman by samunaka: 2:30am On Nov 09, 2023 |
FreeStuffsNG: Gov Hope Uzodinma pushed for Lawan emergence as APC consensus presidential candidate, alleges Lukman
08 November 2023
From the former director general of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), Dr Salihu Lukman came the startling revelation that Governor Hope Uzodinma worked assiduously for the emergence of the former Senate President Ahmed Lawan as the consensus presidential candidate of the ruling All progressive congress (APC) in the build up to the 2023 poll.
Lukman, in a piece titled “Agonising Experience of Being APC Member Message to APC Leaders” expressed surprise that Uzodinma is among those in the good books of President Tinubu.
Lukman who was the immediate past national vice chairman North West of the APC claimed that he was among party leaders that rose to the occasion and resisted the attempt to impose a Presidential candidate on the party.
He further claimed that even after that, forces of reaction within the APC attempted to both sabotage and undermine the electoral prospect of the APC and all its candidates, especially Asiwaju Tinubu who was the Presidential candidate.
“I am not making any claim and I am not demanding anything extraordinary. My expectation is that President Asiwaju Tinubu and all his appointees, especially those saddled with the responsibility of managing his relationship with party leaders and members, should do so with humility and respect to other party leaders and members,” he said.
” As things are, it would have been more rewarding if one had been antagonistic, or opportunistic to the person of President Asiwaju Tinubu. When, for instance, party leaders who were boisterously opposed to the Presidential ambition of President Asiwaju Tinubu are today appointees in the Federal Government, and in the case of Governors such as Sen. Hope Uzodinma, who financed the attempt to manipulate the emergence of Sen. Ahmed Lawan as the consensus Presidential candidate of APC, emerging as the Chairman of Progressive Governors beat the imagination of every founding leader of APC, and in every respect heartbreaking.”
The Kaduna born politician remarked that it was incumbent on President Tinubu to live up to the expectation of returning the APC to its founding vision of becoming a truly progressive party.
Lukman who is on verge of concluding work on his book detailing his experience in the APC disclosed that he had met with Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Chief Bisi Akande, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole who all chaired the party between 2014 to date on the way forward for the party.
He expressed concern over the antic of party faithful and officials in the corridors of the presidency hell-bent on stopping him from accessing President Tinubu to write the Foreword to on his book aimed at righting the wrongs in the party.
He noted: “Disappointingly, we are getting to a point whereby, once you are marked as someone whose views are not in agreement with the priorities of elected leaders, access is blocked.
“As things are, work on the manuscript APC and Transition Politics has been concluded and I am confronted with a brick wall. Access to both President Asiwaju Tinubu, Dr. Ganduje and many of the appointees close to them is hardly available.
“It is my hope that President Asiwaju Tinubu will write the Foreword. It is also my hope that both President Asiwaju Tinubu and all our elected and appointed representatives today, will always remember that the struggle to reform the APC and return it to its founding vision predates the emergence of President Asiwaju Tinubu as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If anything, President Asiwaju Tinubu provided leadership to that struggle and deservedly, he is today the main beneficiary.
“Therefore, let it be known, blocking access to President Asiwaju Tinubu, or refusal of President Asiwaju Tinubu to be accessible will not end the struggle for the reform of APC. Both President Asiwaju Tinubu and all his appointees must recognise that, indeed, reforming the APC is an integral part of the struggle for the development of Nigerian democracy.”
Continuing, he stressed: “Eight years after, we are still on the starting line. APC is becoming more and more a replica of PDP with all the negative attributes. We have spent eight years under former President Buhari motionless, in terms developing the needed initiatives for party building. Are we also going to experience another era of zero initiative for party building under the leadership of President Asiwaju Tinubu? Where is then the claim of being progressives? Where then is the justification or any link to being an awoist?
“It is no doubt agonising and troubling that President Asiwaju Tinubu is starting his leadership tenure of APC by sending a very strong disturbing signal that reforming the APC is not his priority. Because reforming the APC is not his priority, out of all the leadership materials available to the party, Dr. Ganduje is his best candidate.
“Having achieved producing Dr. Ganduje as the National Chairman, whether party organs are functioning or not, it is not President Asiwaju Tinubu’s headache. It was also the reason why even if the emergence of Dr. Ganduje meant marginalisation of the people from North Central in both the party and the Federal Government, it is not important.
“Perhaps, we need to remind President Asiwaju Tinubu and all APC leaders about Frantz Fanon’s timeless warning to the effect that ‘Each generation must, out of relative obscurity discover its mission, fulfill it, or betray it.’ President Asiwaju Tinubu and all APC leaders must be reminded about that APC founding mission of changing Nigerian politics, which is basically about internal reforms within our parties to facilitate the emergence of candidates for electoral contest through democratic means.
“President Asiwaju Tinubu and all APC leaders must not indulge themselves to imagine that simple defeat of PDP and producing former President Buhari and now President Asiwaju Tinubu as Presidents of the Federal Republic of Nigeria equates to the political change Nigerians are desirous of.
“So long as APC will allow a situation that could be interpreted to mean consolidating the old political paradigm that promote lack of accountability and imposition of leadership, it means betrayal of the founding mission of APC.
“We can deceive ourselves to imagine that we can continue to succeed in emerging victorious in elections and successful leaders surround themselves with sycophants who only tell them what they want to hear, it will not change the reality of betrayal and it will not protect leaders.”

Politics › Re: S'court Judgment: 30 Diaspora Groups Insist Tinubu Must Resign by samunaka: 4:19pm On Nov 06, 2023 |
Jatuski: *Ask UK, USA, others to place visa ban on judges
*Coalition to embark on "a reclaim Nigeria Diaspora protest" around world
About 30 different Nigerian diaspora organizations under the aegis of Coalition of New Nigeria Diaspora Movement (CNNDM) has said it will embark on "a reclaim Nigeria Diaspora protest" around the world to expose President Bola Tinubu and demand his immediate resignation. The group also demanded the European Union, United Kingdom, United States of America and others, to as a matter of urgency, place visa bans on all the Justices and Judges of the Appeal and Supreme Courts who gave the judgements that legalized Bola Tinubu as President of Nigeria, adding that the Visa ban should also be extended to their families.
Addressing a press conference Monday, Secretary General of the coalition, Jackson Ude, said CNNDM has also agreed to help mobilize and support any group in Nigeria to join the movement and the 30 days mass protests of reclaiming Nigeria.
Ude said "In our determination to save Nigeria’s democracy, deepen democratic institutions and values, protect our shared common interests and protect the integrity of our country, the leadership of 30 different Nigerian diaspora organizations concluded a meeting that began one week ago to review the sham judgement of the Supreme Court of Nigeria on October 26, 2023, and demand that Bola Tinubu must resign to save the integrity of the Nigeria’s presidency. "It is our believe that Mr. Tinubu not only rigged the 2023 Presidential elections, but he does also not possess the academic credentials to run for the elections. Tinubu forged the Chicago State University degree certificate and as such, committed forgery for which he must be prosecuted. Tinubu is also a member of a drug cartel in the United States of America as per FBI documents recently released. He committed drug crimes. "Not only did Tinubu compromised the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, which conducted the 2023 Presidential elections, Tinubu has also compromised the Judiciary in Nigeria, which was why the Supreme Court, regardless of all the overwhelming evidence of his election fraud, forgery and his criminality, went ahead to legitimize his Presidency. "Against this backdrop, millions of Nigerians in diaspora under the aegis of Coalition of New Nigeria Diaspora Movement, CNNDM, have agreed and decided to save Nigeria and her democracy, demand immediate institutional reforms, demand the immediate resignation of Bola Tinubu so that Nigeria can begin the urgent process of cleansing herself, and rebuilding an integrity-based leadership selection process. T this end, here is what we agreed: "CNNDM agreed that a Reclaim Nigeria Diaspora Protest would be held around the world to expose the criminality of Bola Tinubu and demand his immediate resignation. "CNNDM agreed to help mobilize and support any group in Nigeria to join the movement and the 30 days mass protests of reclaiming Nigeria. "CNNDM agreed that Nigerian Americans should begin reaching out their congressmen and pressure them to push the U.S Congress to begin an inquest on the 2023 Presidential elections in Nigeria, the Chicago State University and Bola Tinubu certificate scandal and why the FBI refused to prosecute Tinubu for all his crimes. "CNNDM agreed to raise $10million for the 30days protests and litigations that is being planned against Bola Tinubu in the U.S for his crimes. "CNNDM demand from the EU, UK, U.S to as a matter of urgency, place visa bans on all the Justices and Judges of the Appeal and Supreme Courts who gave the sham judgements that legalized Bola Tinubu as President of Nigeria. The Visa ban should also be extended to their families. "CNNDM agreed to mandate the Contact and Mobilization Committee to announce a date for the protests soon."
The coalition vowed "to continue to pile pressure locally and internationally to force Bola Tinubu out of office. The group will mobilize Nigerians and protest in every country Tinubu intends to visit to show to the world that he is a certificate forger, a drug criminal and unfit to lead any nation. "This action is aimed at reclaiming Nigeria from the hands of criminals who have taken over the country. "CNNDM believe that Bola Tinubu remains an illegitimate President of Nigeria on account of his drug crimes and certificate forgery for which he refused to declare when he sought to run for the 2023 Presidential elections." undisputedKOC: Igbos are the biggest enemies of the South South, all that fake love you show us only happens when you need our help to escape your Fulani masters and Yoruba tormentors. Igbos always claimed they voted for GEJ, yes you did, but Ijaws are not fools, we know you supported GEJ because of your hatred for Yorubas, not because you love us.
Igbo political character, motive and motto has always been "Anyone but Yorubas". Igbos will always go in the direction that destroys Yoruba political interests. This was the only reason you supported GEJ; but later it was still the same Igbos that ruined the GEJ govt and made other Nigerians to despise our great Ijaw son and vote him out.
Now that no Yoruba or South West is contesting for Senate Presidency, only South South, Igbos are showing their true colors and exposing their hatred as usual by maintaining a political stance that if Igbos can't get Senate Presidency, then their Northern masters should have it. Typical slaves with their wicked and hateful spirits.
How many times have Igbos been Senate President since 1999? But greed and hatred won't allow you wicked tribe to support others genuinely. It is the turn of the South South to have the Senate Presidency in Nigeria whether Igbos like it or not.
You claim to love South South, always attaching yourselves to us by force with fake love, but now when there's no Yoruba candidate contesting to direct your hatred on, you expose your true colors as the enemies of the South South.
Igbos were the biggest enemies of the South South during the era of regional government; Igbos were the most wicked enemies of the South South region during the civil war, commiting all kinds of wicked atrocities and evil against our men, women and children - we have not forgotten this; and now in 2023 Igbos are the biggest problem for South South to win Senate Presidency. We will not forget this wickedness.
Don't worry, when the time is ripe, you Igbos should come and beg South South for Presidency votes, and we will remind you about how you worked tirelessly against the emergence of a bonafide illustrious South South son, H.E. Godswill Akpabio. And like his name states, Godswill, let me tell you it is GOD'S WILL that Akpabio will become Senate President at this time and there's nothing you Igbo saboteurs can do about it. Health › Re: FG To Build 15 Psychiatric Outposts In South East by samunaka: 11:04pm On Apr 09, 2023 |
ArewaNorth: The Federal Government is poised to enhance mental health in the South East with the establishment of 15 outposts in the five states of the zone.
Medical Director of the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Enugu, Monday Igwe, disclosed this at a press briefing shortly after he resumed office following his re-appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term of four years.
He explained the outposts would be located in each of the senatorial districts, noting that the essence was to make access to mental health services easier for the people of the zone.
He disclosed nine out of the 15 proposed outposts had been completed and equipped and would be operational soonest with ambulances readily available to convey patients to Enugu in major cases.
Igwe said: “This hospital is the only psychiatric facility in the entire South East region. It is also the only facility that is made to train doctors and nurses in psychiatry. It is also the only facility that offers research in terms of mental health in the South East. It is also our mandate to give clinical services to people that have mental illnesses.
“The hospital also is available for the people of South South and some parts of North Central region of the country. So, if we don’t do well, we will be leaving Nigerians to suffer. That’s why we want to make this place to be the best and centre of excellence in mental health practice.
“There are a number of ways to actualise this. Since many people live very far away from Enugu State, we want to make sure our 15 newly built outposts in South East are operational.
“We have ensured each of the 15 senatorial districts in the South East has one outpost. We have successfully completed and equipped nine of the outposts while the rest are still ongoing.
“Those ones we have completed are going to be activated. We are going to post our staff there.”
The medical director received a rousing welcome from staff of the hospital, where he thanked the president for finding him worthy of another tenure in office.
Igwe took over a fractured health institution four years ago and has made efforts to restore the lost glory of the hospital.

Politics › Re: To All Obidients: Be Sure To Start Mobilizing Your Group And Teams For A Re-run by samunaka: 3:58am On Apr 09, 2023 |
NaijaCowFarm: The APC is aware that they have lost the elections and that the Tribunals will declare a rerun.
Truth is that the justices of the Supreme Court are not ready to manipulate the constitution as it relates to Abuja. They could argue other issues but two areas they are stuck on are the issue of 1/4 of Abuja and Shettima's double registration. On the latter, they could find a technical ground but on the issue of FCT, they are stuck.
Secondly, the Supreme Court would not easily declare Peter Obi elected in order not to be seen as being unfair. To this end, the Supreme Court is sure to demand a rerun, this the APC knows about.
To this effect, APC embarked on the following in preparation for the rerun.
1. Make Obi "demonic" by any means possible, including making the alleged phone call with Bishop Oyedepo a sign-post that Peter Obi is anti-Islam, that way, they attempt to make Obi not acceptable to muslims, especially in SW
2. Distract Peter and Datti Ahmed with accusation of incitements and possibly push Peter Obi to leave Nigeria, so that he cannot campaign during the reruns. They will now call him "run-away" candidate.
3. Use machineries to forcefully take over Labour Party secretariats and leadership, with the aim of being the source for Labour Party agents for the rerun. The aim here is is to post stooges to critical states as LP agents such that the results could easily be manipulated.
These plans have all failed.
For all Obidients, be resolute, bold and strong. They have shown us all their arsenal on Feb 25 and Mar 18, 2023. We now have the antidotes to their evil plans. In Lagos for example, the Obas can no longer use Oro to distract us, in Kaduna, we shall trounce them completely, In North East, we shall defeat them, especially as Atiku is already in talks with LP.
Just be prepared for another grueling campaign, but this time, Nigerians will overwhelmingly defeat the APC one and for all! But it is too early for mobilization now, 2027 is still very far |
