Besides, Obi is not an Igbo project but a Nigerian project. Therefore carry your tribalistic self and shove it in a place where the sun don't shine. Now that you are campaigning for votes Obi is a Nigerian project but once elections are over and may be happens to win you will hijack him and lock him up in the south east, he becomes an Igbo project, before this campaign I don't think whether Obi has ever being to any northern state |

Ozinlex: Funny guys being carried away by same crowd that have been attending Atiku and Kwakwanso rallies
Same people you see here are same people in other rallies; all Obi needs is release 50million for mobilization with 3k each and then watch thousands show up in Kano as well.
I for one; I am not carried away with the crowds anywhere because a desperate man like Tinubu with Lagos state treasury in his pocket can mobilize a million poor jobless people to his rallies or do you think having 133million Nigerians living in poverty and them seeing 3k each won't make them attend rallies?
The crowds in most rallies; especially in the Norrh where poverty is at it's peak will attend as many rallies as possible for them to afford basic stuffs like food and this is no Rocket science.
At the end of the day, the votes will be divided and a candidate like Obi will get enough votes from area dominated by Southerners, Christians and enlightened northerners And on the 24 February he will release the same N3k to the 133million jobless Nigerians you are talking about and they will still go out and vote for him, case closed |

PDP can only bark but can't do jack Once they are expelled from the party it becomes a different ball game altogether, the court will become the major player then, not INEC again |
Politics › Re: Cracks Widen Among G-5 Governors Over Choice Of Presidential Candidate by samunaka: 8:44am On Dec 30, 2022 |
Mynd44: Fake news. It is not possible to remove a candidate at this point. Even if the candidate decides to pull out, INEC will still recognize that person and award votes to him/her, nothing will change. This is similar to Peter Obi's new campaign, Osuntokun. He has abandoned his Senate candidacy but because of the time frame, you cannot pull out of the election again.
Anything less than 90 days, you are a candidate but force. The PDP's expulsion threat is dead in water Political slowpoke, no body is going to remove anybody's name, but once they are expelled from the party and ratified by the highest decision making organ of the PDP, they cease to be a candidate under the banner of PDP, and as you have rightly said it is too late to either remove their names from the ballot paper or decamp to another party, this simply means that they can partake in the election, win the election but at the end of the day who ever comes second in those elections will be given the certificate of return in the court, because all the votes casted for the PDP will be declared invalid by the court |
Politics › Re: How Can Your Campaign Grounds Be Empty Like These And Still Hope You Can Win? by samunaka: 7:07am On Dec 29, 2022 |
SmartPolician: Politicians use money to mobilize people. The South is not like the north where you have bunch of beggars looking for handouts.
Down south, people are busy doing business, working in office and trying to survive in an economy APC has totally destroyed. If you want to mobilize them, you have to pay them to leave their sources of livelihood for you.
In the South, crowd in campaign rallies doesn't determine the actual number of votes.
I am outta here... This is a very stupid comment you are making, these people you are calling beggars, useless, have nothing doing will be the same people that will come out on election day and vote for the candidate of their choice, while your sophisticated people will be sleeping in their houses just the way they are doing during these campaigns, we heard this type of comment in 2014, the rest is now history |

festacman: With the exception of Oyo State, the other states under G5 Governors are likely to be won by Peter Obi due to obvious reasons. So it won't be surprise if they endorse Peter Obi to go with the flow. But their decision may not have any earth-shaking effect. Nigerians are not zombies.
Whatever happens, it will be interesting to follow Nyesom Wike 'matters' post 2023 elections. It might be a little movie-like.
Generally speaking, Peter Obi has a large percentage enlightened young Nigerians as his support-base across Nigeria. However, my fear is the rural communities across Nigeria given that there will be both Senatorial and HoR elections on the same day as Presidential Election Day. PDP and APC have most of these Senate and HoR candidates who are popular and well-entrenched politicians in their constituencies. They are already known to the rural communities. They have established foot soldiers. And more often than not, they are communal benefactors or of some sorts. They will campaign vigorously for their parties’ logos, making it difficult for illiterate voters who will be given three ballot papers to sort out and vote for LP’s Presidential candidate after voting other party's candidates. Unfortunately, Peter Obi is not helping matters as he is not supporting LP candidates across Nigeria. They are on their own with insufficient resources to match the other parties.
Lastly, Tinubu’s campaign slogans are top of the range. You would have serious rheumatism not to dance to his Christmas themed song. Just saying! Forget these people with their terminal delusional mentality, they are only interested in the presidency ignoring the senate and HoR, I wonder how a president can rule Nigeria with out having these two arms of government to back him up |

Politics › Re: 2023: Thisday Is Wrong; Northwest Not Battleground. by samunaka: 9:45pm On Dec 25, 2022 |
Penguin2: I just read the Thisday appraisal of the 2023 elections and their claim that Northwest is the battleground or would determine who becomes president and couldn’t help but shake my head at their clear mischief.
But I know what they are doing… they are trying to water down the effect of recent ANAP poll which projected an Obi victory as against the candidate of the owner Thisday/AriseTV Media Group which is Atiku Abubakar.
However, it is so appalling that a media platform like Thisday will deploy its platform to sell a clearly skewed narrative with no iota of reflection on the reality on ground.
For a better understanding of the reality of the 2023 elections, let’s do a very quick and brief appraisal of the different geopolitical zones in the country and how they are likely to vote to better understand why Northwest is not the battleground that Thisday claimed.
ANAP polls and other reputable polls, and reality on ground, has shown that Peter Obi is poised to sweep Southeast and Southsouth.
Now, because of Christian sentiments and the continued massacre of the people Middle Belt, these people are now understandably leaning towards an Obi candidacy which is why analysts have rightly predicted Obi to win the North Central.
Then add the votes Obi is clearly going to get from other Christian areas like Taraba, Adamawa, southern Bauchi, southern Borno and Southern Gombe in the Northeast; and southern Kaduna and southern Kebbi in the Northwest, with the votes he’s likely to get from all the states in Southwest, and you see clearly why Obi is poised to win the upcoming election at first ballot except you want to lie to yourself.
Because the truth is that whether by Obi’s making or by chance, 99% of Christians in Nigeria has taken the upcoming election very personal and are now sentimental about it.
Now, this is clearly in contrast to Tinubu who as of today is realistically only sure of votes from Southwest states and maybe Borno and Yobe in the Northeast, and Zamfara and Kaduna like Thisday rightly said.
Then there’s an Atiku who has realistically been restricted to some states in Northeast and some states in Northwest while he’s hoping to get some fraction of votes from some Southsouth states which is even looking bleak for him, because nobody talks about Atiku down South.
Kwankwaso is a Kano candidate so talking about him is an unnecessary waste of time.
So, with these things I’ve said here which are very practical and factual, tell me how the election is too close to call.
So, my conclusion is that Thisday is just being mischievous and running away from obvious truth and reality that is staring at them, like most Nigerians who are still stuck in the old ways of doing things but sooner or later, they will all come around and accept reality. So in your own thinking 99% of Christians will vote for Peter Obi and 99% Muslims will not vote for Atiku, or better still as you have said the south east and south south is on lock down for Obi and we up North will not lockdown North East and North West for Atiku, February is very close my brother as you people have always been saying there will be suprisses in this election, a real surprise awaits you, |
Politics › Re: North West Zone Will Determine Who Becomes The President- Thisday by samunaka: 9:24pm On Dec 25, 2022 |
MrEverest: Very poor analysis lacking in depth and logic. Jonathan won the 2011 presidential election despite performing woefully in NW against only one major contestant. But in 2023, at least, 3 candidates are battling to split NW votes evenly among themselves.
Peter Obi winning SE and SS is more than enough to offset NW. If he now wins NC and gets above 25% in SW then he will be clearly ahead of the rest.
No contestant can possibly win more than 40% of NW, which means the zone can't determine the outcome of the election.
As it stands now, based on the fact that we have 4 major candidates, no zone can determine the outcome. If any zone has such power then it has to be SS. Now consider this, what Peter Obi gets from SE is most likely going to be higher than what Tinubu will get from SW. Also, Obi is likely to get far more votes from SW than Tinubu will hope to get from SE.
If Atiku is able to pull off at least 35% of NW votes which is very possible and Kwankwaso gets same figure, it means that Tinubu won't get more than 25% in NW.
Peter Obi is most likely the next president, everything being equal. What makes you believe that Peter Obi will get a block vote in the south south |

FatherOfJesus: I don't know why Urchins are not smart enough to see that northwest and northeast will not decide this coming election as kwankwaso, Atiku and Tinubu are going to scatter the vote there and make whoever wins there really inconsequential. It's either you find a way and also scatter Obi’s vote in southsouth and southeast or kiss this election goodbye
If Obi manages to secure block votes in southsouth and southeast, there's nothing Northwest and northeast can do In the North here my brother, we have already made up our minds that Atiku will find it difficult to win this election with a divided PDP, Mallam Kwankwosor is a future president, as such our governors have asked us to vote massively for Tinubu if the north should remain relevant in the next dispensation, not because Tinubu is the best but because he is the lesser evil, but should PDP put their house in order, then it becomes merrier |

Eniitankorede: I don’t believe this pole because the figures shown for Obi in north does not reflect reality. Secondly, the places where Obi got 50% like southeast has 5% of voters. Therefore, the hard figures of voters which depends on number of those with PVC shows that Obi’s percentage will not translate to higher voter figures. Furthermore, Atedo Peterside is an Obi supporter, I know they would manipulate the pole by asking more igbos in all areas to vote more than the rest of the people who are in majority. Ethnic bias within same region is what I am seeing in this manipulated pole. Forget about them, by the time they start seeing real figures coming out from Kastina,Kaduna and Kano on election day then they will know that hot water is not a playing ground for toads |
