swaggerjack:
Why did Peter Obi hide funds in the Carribbean through his daughter name with the intention of hiding his ownership of the bank account and pay a firm in Monaco that specialises in hiding ownership of assets to have a foreign director pretend to be the owner of the said account.

Why did he not just walk into any bank branch in UK, Canada, Netherlands, or USA and just open a bank account in his name and report it in his assets declaration form.

Owning a foreign account is not illegal. Why go through all that to hide ownership of the said bank account and any possible trace to you- Nigerians would have never known if not for the Pandora expose.

Politics / Re: Unknown Gunmen And APC Terrorism In Anambra by samunaka: 3:41pm On May 23, 2022
OfoIgbo:
For the past few weeks, I have been observing what has been going on in Anambra since Soludo came to power.

The terrorism there is targeted at the APGA leadership and leaders and HOA members, and to scare innocent Anambra indigenes.
A few Fulani peasants have also been killed to give impression that this is a general action and to throw people of the scent source.

But one thing I have noticed is that the APC personnel and interests in Anambra state have not been affected whatsoever.
In fact, the current terrorism being carried out by Ekpa's boys and DSS's UGM in Anambra seem to only serve the interests of APC, both at the federal level and in the state.

Andy Ubah's political structure and allies in Anambra have been allegedly left untouched by what is happening. In fact, they are waiting in the wings to know when they can start taking advantage of the situation that they are secretly sponsoring.

I think Anambra people, ESN, IPOB and the Anambra state government need to recognize what is actually happening, and deal ruthlessly with those terrorizing Anambra and her citizens.

It is clear those in Abuja and the DSS leadership may be out of the range, but for those who reside in Anambra and the APC personnel in Anambra. They must be confronted and punished for the arsons and murders of innocent people going on in Anambra, that they are allegedly secretly sponsoring. Some of their enablers are also be in Imo state and Ebonyi state.

Useless writeup, continue to destroy your infrastructure and say that it is APC, when your useless vagabonds were messing around in Imo why didn't you say it was APC or is it because Anambra state is govern by APGA

The problem is that even if PDP zone the presidency to the south they will vote in the primaries based on sentiment, at the end of the day it's either Obi or Wike that will get the ticket, and I assure you that none of these two can get 25% vote in any northern state other than Benue and Plateau, so how do you expect to win the presidency with only the southern votes, except Udom Emmanuel most of the southern presidential candidates which the average northerner have soft spot for are presently in the APC, Tinubu, Amaechi, Osibanjo, Okorochas

The leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, Edwin Clark, has insisted that the next Nigerian president must be from the South-East extraction.

He claimed that southerners are treated as second-class citizens in the country, noting there may be no Nigeria without zoning in 2023.

He said this while speaking during an interview on Arise TV on Tuesday.

According to him, there is a monopoly of leadership by the North.

He said, “My idea of zoning the Presidency to the South-East is well-known. No Nigerian will like to live in a country where certain people believe that they have the only right to lead.

“The APC believes the 12 million votes by President Muhammadu Buhari might be eroded if it is zoned to the South. The PDP is also considering zoning to the North. This is unfair.

Anything short of Jonathan’s ticket ‘ll cost APC 2023 presidency — Group warns Buhari, Adamu

A political pressure group, Citizens Network for Peace and Development in Nigeria (CNPD), has called on the All Progressives Congress (APC) to adopt former President Goodluck Jonathan, as the party’s candidate for the 2023 presidential election.

The National Coordinator of the group, Mr Ralph Okorie, who made the call on Monday at a news conference in Abuja, urged President Muhammadu Buhari, to endorse the Jonathan project.

“There is a need for experience and continuity. The two enjoy the most cordial relationship that had ever existed between an incumbent and his immediate predecessor,” he said.

Okorie said the call for Buhari to endorse Jonathan was to ensure that candidates without a clear cut vision do not emerge as the party’s flag-bearer in the 2023 presidential election.

He said that allowing candidates without a clear cut vision to get into the Presidential Villa in 2023, would not only be suicidal but would be like aiding and supporting incompetence over competence.

According to Okorie, the persistent calls from different parts of the country for Jonathan to contest the 2023 presidential election indicates that Nigerians have genuinely and passionately joined the support for Jonathan.
“We acknowledge that the ripple effects of good governance are multi-generational, hence, the CNPD for Jonathan call on all Nigerians to support this agenda.

“We strongly believe that this administration is working round the clock to address the two major problems of security and economy bedevilling this country.

“It will be counter-productive to bring an amateur to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari at this material time.

“As vanguards for Nigeria’s development, peace and unity, we want to reiterate that, our beloved country cannot afford to have a regional champion as a flagbearer.

“It is imperative that Dr Abdullahi Adamu as the National Chairman of APC will use the best man for the job to win this election bearing in mind that anything short of a Jonathan ticket will cost APC the presidency in 2023,” Okorie said.

He noted that his achievements of Jonathan stood him out among all the aspirants that have so far indicated an interest in the presidential election and described him as one of the most outstanding presidents the country had produced.

“For instance, within two weeks, Jonathan grounded the activities of Boko Haram insurgency and gave Nigeria a credible election adjudged by domestic and international observers as free and fair.

“Nigeria’s economic trajectory under his presidency was globally recognised as his national economic prowess earned the country the status of the largest economy in Africa.

“Today, some of the talented people who worked under his government are championing global economic transformations.

“Nigerians have not forgotten the glorious days of GEJ with Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala as the minister of Finance, Olusegun Aganga, Akinwumi Adesina, Mohammed Pateh, to mention but a few.

“We are still yearning for the immense contribution of Akinwumi Adesina who was the brain behind Jonathan’s agricultural transformation agenda that saw the increase in agriculture produce, value chain and foreign exchange earnings from the sector.

“In terms of foreign policy, Nigeria under Jonathan saw huge foreign direct investment, FDI, and infrastructure developments due to his economic liberalist and friendly dispositions,” Okorie added.

The CNPD coordinator also said that said that the Nigeria diasporic policy enhanced over 24 billion dollars in remittances under Jonathan which made Nigeria and Nigerians the pride of Africa and the world.

He added that Jonathan’s return to power would not only enhance the economic, foreign policy and security situation but would provide a favourable environment for national engagement and dialogue.

Okorie, however, called on Jonathan to listen to the numerous calls and observe the political mood across Nigeria as he would give impetus to APC’s victory in the 2023 presidential election.

The governor of Rivers State, Mr Nyesom Wike, who is a presidential aspirant under the platform of the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, at the weekend tasked stakeholders and founding fathers of the party to give the presidential ticket to someone who will not run away from the party.

The Presidential aspirant equally vowed to put David Umahi’s successor in Ebonyi State during the forthcoming 2023 general election.

Wike made this known while addressing stakeholders and political leaders of PDP in Ebonyi State during his consultation visit to the people of the state.

According to him: “I’m here in Ebonyi State to let you know that you should not border on the setbacks you have, that the law must take its prepared place at the right time. I don’t want to send any delegation to the people of Ebonyi, I told Governor Ugwuanyi that I’m coming personally so that you look into my eyes and I will look at your eyes.

"And nobody born of a woman shall tell me not to enter Ebonyi, I say nobody. I’m a full committed party member of PDP. I joined PDP when it was founded in 1998. Anything I’m today by the special Grace of God, as chairman of LGA to governor, Minister and it is PDP that gave it to me.

"Therefore, I owe PDP a lot and I will continue to support PDP. I’m not one of those who will reap and abandoned those who helped him. Go and tell whoever that is anywhere, that whatever you sow, you will reap. All those that PDP helped to be in power and have betrayed PDP, the judgment will come one day.

“I told Ebonyi people that you must take back your party secretariat and to the glory of God, we are here today. Let me tell you the truth, nobody can intimidate me, Not one. And I want my colleague in Ebonyi, David Umahi to hear me well. Wherever you are, wherever you may be, hear me now.

"PDP laboured and put their sleepless night and PDP won the election and you took the mandate of our people and go to another party, anybody who has conscience’, if you know you are a man and very strong and any day they put election you will win, I challenge you to resign and then come and contest election to know whether you will win again.

“We will continue to fight against injustice, we will fight for democracy. I’m making myself available to defeat APC in the forthcoming 2023 general election. My dear Ebonyi people, I’m here to tell you, I will stand by you, I will support you any day anytime.

"What PDP want is who will win election, give me this ticket, let me go and defeat APC for you. I’m not running for president to be given vice president. I’m not running to be called former presidential aspirant. I didn’t buy another form, Incase this one didn’t work, I will go back to it. If you have told Ebonyi people and Nigerians that you are running for president, why are you collecting another form for other positions” he stated.

"In a swift reaction, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief David Umahi who is equally a presidential aspirant under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, challenged him to a debate.

Umahi cautioned Wike for saying that he will not win elections without PDP, describing him as a lawyer that does not know the law.

“I am calling him to debate, he wants to be President, I want to be President, let us do a debate so that the world would see how intellectual property would be deployed,” he noted.

Politics / Re: Why PDP May Lose 2023 Presidential Election – Reno Omokri by samunaka: 8:18pm On Apr 24, 2022
InsightsGuru:
It appears no candidate from the NW may flag either the APC or PDP ticket, so we may not expect as large a turnout from the NW in 2023. That turnout was driven by PMB who had a cult following in that region. No matter who PMB endorses, the turnout may not be as large this time around.

The PDP may have an upper hand if the APC makes the mistake in who flags its ticket. A key consideration for the APC should not be the most popular in the party, but rather who is widely accepted and can go on to win the general election. I'm not sure if there is any credible poll for the APC but speaking from sentiments I would think Osinbajo remains the strongest candidate even against an Atiku/Obi ticket though he still needs to be able to extricate himself from the government in his messages and campaigns which will be a tough job but not impossible.

The PDP is supposed to have an upper hand in this coming election for several seasons. First, Buhari is not on the ticket. Second, the economy is in bad shape. Third, insecurity is clearly a big issue. Fourth, they can field a popular candidate from the north and capture huge voter numbers.

Given the above reasons, the APC is in a vulnerable position and needs to get it right, else they will lose the election.

APC is not in any kind of danger because we all know quite well that PDP is broke and at the long run will give their ticket to the highest bidder either Wike or Atiku. Wike cannot get 5% votes in any northern state except may be Benue and Plateau states, and for Atiku he is a regular customer to Buhari pandemic, which ever option you choose APC will win because the likes Peter Obi, Saraki, are washouts when it comes to northern politics

The fearless outspoken priest and spiritual head of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria, Father Ejike Mbaka during the Good Friday all-night program, spoke about the monday sit at home, he lamented on the negative impact of the exercises, especially on business people, but also made it clear what the only solution will be.

He said; we can not deny the fact that this sit at home is costing millions of money especially to business people, but we cannot also pretend not to know the solution.

They should release our brother mazi Nnamdi Kanu. If he is released today the sit at home will stop today. You can’t stop it by force, politicians tried it but it was in vain. They sit at home with their families every monday and if they want to go out, they move with more than 20 trucks of security men.

Anambra Government that tried to use force to stop it is feeling the heat today. So let them release our brother mazi Nnamdi Kanu and sit at home will stop.

On mazi Nnamdi Kanu, he first sang the emotional brotherhood song; (onuru ube nwa nne agbala oso) ” He who hears the cry of his brother should not abandon him”

Then he said; He is our brother, we lifted our hands up to God to pray for his release, we can’t run away from it, it is a situation that came up with our generation, we must face it.

I heard the names of some people that were granted presidential amnesty but his name was not there. I wonder what his crime is…
Let the Igbos who can go request for his release start the journey.
