Family › Re: My Wife And Mother Hate Each Other by Sanchez01(m): 5:08am On Jan 18, 2020
Your wife clearly dislikes your mother and has grown to be very comfortable with saying all what nots about her because you allow it. Mama, on the other hand wants to be in your lives because you guys are all she's got. She wants to love and be loved. She's is trying to get involved and she is desperately doing so.

Someone once said there is no mother-in-law anywhere, that regular mother-in-law issues won't happen if only people see their supposed 'demonic' mother-in-law as their biological mum.

Unfortunately, you, E685 have failed to better manage the situation. Your first gaffe is the fact that you took a side when you should have stayed neutral and strategically blamed both parties one-on-one, far away from each other.

The fact that Mama is making attempts at resolution while your wife is hell bent on shutting her window totally tells a lot about your wife's person. She is selfish, egoistic and stubborn. For a start, having a heart-to-heart with her and probile why she resents Mama so much. Does she reacts towards her own mother the way she reacts towards yours, particularly when differing opinions are put forward?

Mama has her own small, small wàhálà but bulk of the entire problem is from your wife.

Shut up.
Go and read what Falana and other lawyers are saying on this issue. Policing/security is not the exclusive preserve of FG. It is shared by FG, the 36 states and the police commission.

If you are not OK with that, then approach the law court

Cc. Omonnak0da. Sanchez01
The emboldened is what the God-forsaken presidency wouldn't do. Akeredolu as a SAN must have done his homework well before choosing to chair the project.

Buhari and his stooges very well know they can't afford to go the legal way. A loss will be the beginning of state policing as other regions will follow the South West immediately. And rather than go the legal route, the presidency is engaging its militia arm to pressurize South West governors by dangling the national seat before them.

What Malami did is similar to testing the waters, to see the response of the South West before deciding in which means to curb the new found encouragement of the South West. Crazy people.

LandMann:
We all should put emotions, tribalism and ethnic hatred aside and examine this issue of Ametokun based purely on its merits and demerits and in light of existing laws.

The following points should guide us:

1. Internal security is an exclusive task of the FG. FG can give authority to state or local actors to improve security. Example; local vigilantes and some paramilitary organisation like Man o War must acquire police permission before operating... This is an example of FG giving other actors permission to act in improving security.

2. There's no federal law or agreement between federal and state outlining the activities to be covered by Ametokun, given the existence of police, nscdc and other existing internal security outfit... This agreement or law is important to avoid conflict between these organisations when issues of security occur. We're still dealing with superiority contest between FRSC, VIO, NSCDC, YELLOW FEVER, POLICE AND ARMY on our highways...

3. With no national law or agreement coupled with high level of illiteracy and unprofessionalism of most state workers, state governments can quickly start using Ametokun as instrument of oppression and a means of further looting state resources because security spending is often shrouded in secrecy, and even Ametokun members can take to crimes as side hustle when they start feeling dissatisfied with their salary. They have the training and the instrument of force (guns)... Who's going to prevent them from misusing both and how?

The above are just some issues worth considering.

If all the loopholes are properly plugged, then Ametokun can kick off.

We shouldn't cheer on the idea even with the obvious loopholes because it can quickly spread, every region can quickly have their own version of Ametokun and it won't be long before outside actors start smuggling weapons to these different regional Ametokuns and with the existing ethnic hatred, it won't take long before another civil war arises that will tear Nigeria apart and make current Libya and Iraq look like heaven compared to how Nigeria will look like.

We should protect our country, not our states or region or ethnic enclave.
Sir, if you don't have anything meaningful, take the back seat and let breeze reach better people. Internal security is the sole responsibility of the FG but Hisbal is in full operation in the North and you didn't think to mention it in your vomit?

The presidency and its militia have been jittery since Àmọ̀tẹ́kùn was launched. To what end? You didn't say a thing about lowlife hersdmen who have been saying or two about the outfit being illegal and must incorporate their people. The Fulanis are a tiny fraction of the Nigerian population. Their expansionist agenda can only be curbed by regional security.

The aging donkey in Aso Rock along with his wildlings who plot, and pretend they don't know about the activities of hersdmen across the country are now concerned about regional security just because it will threaten their plans.

I sincerely hope Southeastern governors develop the balls to rub the salt in, alongside their clueless colleagues in the South South.
Family › Re: Married People And Their Sense Of Entitlement! by Sanchez01(m): 6:32am On Jan 17, 2020
A Nairalander sought to know if making out with his sister-in-law on the bed was bad. The deed had been done and I'm sure he asked because his restrictions prolly does not cover that area.

And then you, a supposed human with a meaningful job decides to rant over what has happened and dish out an epistle nearly 12 AM on some other person's case! And then there is the issue of authenticity of the story in itself but you thought married people are entitled?

Let's all pray for meaningful jobs that will make us focus on our lives and not brood over people's cases all day long and rant about them when half of Nigeria has slept. It is way too early in the year.

Weekend flights are usually more expensive and I noticed same on the website... Seems fair.

I think Akwa Ibom to Lagos at 15k is strategic. Thrill seekers like us might just find it convenient to head to Akwa Ibom for a weekend knowing it is just 15k cheesy

I hope more routes will be added with time.

No amount of propaganda can bring him down.
The piece is superb but with a wrong/misleading title. The writer talks about how the APC tries to rubbish GSM but then highlights his qualities and what makes him unique and not the governor the APC paints.

I'm sure you'd have seen this if you read the piece.

The North has the most ethnic groups in Nigeria, there are over 60 distinct ethnic groups in Northern Nigeria, so no, that title does not belong to South South.

You did not say "MOST of the South South" you said "MOSTLY the South South" I hope you know these terms are NOT the same.

Less than 10 of the ethnic groups in the North ask for kidneys and livers, but you overlooked them to mention South South, where even the five or so that ask for kidneys and possibly, possibly have the most alarming figures for bride price in Nigeria. I, for one, know that a Kalabari bride is more expensive to marry, than anyone from the much maligned Imo State, and let me not speak on Ikwerre.

The North is where you find brides with chicken change, aside Hausa/Fulani, no other ethnic group in the North has high requirements for a bride.
You miss the point totally. The North is about 95% homogenous; belief system, tradition, food, origin and culture, etc. The same cannot be said of the ethnic groups and tribes in the South South. Ancestry, belief system, foods, culture, etc, are not in way related. It is why the Ibibios are known for notorious bride price costs and their Anang sisters don't follow that line of thought. It is why some sub-groups of the Urhobo people will ask a groom-to-be to pay N65 while some others N120. Edos? Totally different.

You see why I stated that the South South is the most diverse compared to other regions in the country?

The North which mainly consists of the Hausas/Fulanis have their bride prices tied to education. You might want to do your little research on this. The illiterates among them might request for little or nothing but the child of an influential individual would see the partner-to-be bring gold jewelries and boxes filled with clothes.

Regardless, that of Imo, specifically Mbaise is on a whole new level. I lived in the East and can attest that the Ibibios are the only ones that can match or come close to Mbaise's neck and throat approach when it comes to weddings.

which part of the South South? Is it Kalabari or Ikwerre? Maybe Efik? Which mostly South South?

Please, correct to PARTS of the South South, before someone will think they can enter Bonny Island with a miserable budget to marry wife
The South South is the most diverse in Nigeria compared to other region. It has the most concentration of ethnic and sub ethnic groups. Again, I stand by my earlier assertion because if anyone is asked to list or name areas where tooth and nails are required as bride price in the South South, anyone is more likely to mention Ibibio, one or two parts of Edo State, Ikwerre and maybe not more than five other tribes or groups. And then there are about 40 distinct tribes and more than 10 ethnic groups in the South South alone.

How then is it not MOST but SOME just because less than 10 ask for kidneys and livers?

Waoh! That will be nice. From which part of Nigeria can someone get a wife at that low expenses?
Mostly the South South and some parts of the South West. The problem with the latter is that most of the families live for parties, so even when the bride price is cheap, you might not escape the reception.

As per the South South, most of them are so cheap that you are good to go with very little and wouldn't bother with party sef.

You do have an amazing lady. Most ladies around today live for the glamour of their weddings and wouldn't compromise the Bella Naija kind of wedding in their heads. A friend said she must have all the three weddings, particularly the church's because she wants to use it to 'honour God'. Crazy.

Big, small, medium, quiet or loud, it is most about staying married and not just getting married. Congratulations, brother.

For someone who is trying to sell or manage celebrities, you should, for a start, have a proper website and not a free Blogger site.

This is why I said he should resolve it with them. He's in the issue due to violating their tos, another polite response to them should resolve the issue. I don't think qservers have their tos carved in stone.
Your mindset scares me. First off, he is a client and not a beggar and he is entitled to SUPPORT just as every other Qservers client out there.

What TOS did he violate that you've been hammering on? Does been rude to an agent demand, warrant or suggest being blacklisted and denied his basic rights as enshrined in their TOU or TOS?

Why should he cower over their inability to bring their head down? I have never had any dealings with Qservers and I never will in this life or the next but asking a client to be polite towards a company offering services he paid for before he can get SUPPORT is tantamount to saying he should grovel and beg for what is due him by default.

jonnyboy4u:
You don't have to lie to get yourself noticed....

They asked you to open a support ticket via chat and you only posted their response to the ticket you opened leaving out your own ticket comments, which got support withdrawn from your client account.

I've been with qservers for a long time and they offer very good support, If you violated their tos then that is your own issue to resolve with them.
Let's pretend for a minute that he insulted them, does that warrant withdrawing support from him?? Perhaps I doubt you understand what SUPPORT is! It is your right, except stated otherwise.

My hosting company had an issue at their data center mid last year on a Sunday and it wasn't resolved until evening. I sent them a long stinker as I was frustrated and angry. They responded, apologized and hinted the cause of the downtime and notified that the issue has been resolved at their data center.

It didn't stop us from becoming the best of friends. There are things they do for me that are way beyond customer level.

They did something recently that was way out of any regular hosting company's rule. I sent a mail and they were patient enough for me to come around.

A service company mails a client that support has been withdrawn for insulting or abusing an agent and you think that is normal? We so need orientation in this country.

Sawyer and the team, THANK YOU GUYS for being amazing!
