CelebritiesRe: Learn From Tiger Woods Mistake by Sauron1: 1:13am On Dec 17, 2009
mcwalka:
don't usually like to jump onto celebrity news bandwagons, but the media melee around Tiger Woods' public admission of his personal "transgressions" holds valuable lessons for all of us on how to most effectively protect the integrity of a brand.

Tiger is both a role model and a brand superhero. The fact that he's seemingly invincible on the golf course and in the branding world is what makes it difficult for his fans to accept that he's actually human, like the rest of us. As with everybody else, he's not impervious to making mistakes--or, rather, getting caught making mistakes.

And just like the long list of celebrities before him caught in the public firestorm--Michael Phelps smoking pot, David Letterman canoodling with a co-worker and, most recently, Alex Rodriguez's womanizing and steroid use--Tiger needs to pounce into crisis management mode to preserve his brand's value among current and prospective sponsors.
Abeg, make we hear word. . . . .

Tiger Woods brought this upon himself trying to alienate himself from his Black roots and identifying with the whites.
He painted himself saintly and saints fall harder when caught.

I can't imagine someone like Jay-Z or Cristiano Ronaldo getting this much attention.
They have never tried to be St. John or St. Matthew. If Jay-Z cheats on Beyonce with an au pair, the ripples won't trouble a goldfish.

No doubt - AA23 and Cesc did their best, but a finisher would've gobbled up the other chances.
Letz do a trade. . . . . .Welbeck for Eduardo. grin grin grin

Eagles was ok. . . he might move to a bigger club next season.
Probably Aston Villa.
Martin O'Neill loves wingers.

For Spurs fans yes - their coach was apoplectic last time around in the FA cup, this time his tan will start fading. grin

56 points this week. . . .not too bad I think given things could've been much worse. Need to know how injured Cesc is so i can ship him off quickly.
I copped 64 points.
Lennon and Assou Ekotto bailed me out.

Believe me it was - first Fab's second chance (which can be pardoned cos he scored a more difficult one), AA23 hitting the bar, Nasri freed on goal. . .it was madness.
Wenger must get a clinical striker.

Nonsense - we shall annihilate them at the Emirates to make up for this.
Agent Chris Eagles played well.
He fetched me vital fantasy points tonight.

Can't wait to face Hull. . . the tan freak must be sacked this season and this will be the beginning.
Geovanni & Daniel Cousin + 2008/9

Selfish GAYnner.

I am very pissed. . .you need to have watched this game to know what I'm talking about. . . .a little more composure and this game could've been KILLED in 15 minutes!!
Was it that bad?

I know everyone will drop points, but I'd rather draw to Villa than draw to Burnley and have all the muppets trotting out the asinine line about Arsenal struggling during a 'cold noight oop norf'.
'Oop Norf' is HELL for all London clubs this term.

I remember that, but if you watched the game, we could've been 3-0 up before the penalty. . . .not to mention other chances in the second half.

Nasri was wasteful, AA23 was wasteful, Walcott was wasteful. I get angry when the margin between success and failure is so slim.

I'm sure maybe tomorrow I'll be in a better mood to give some credit to Burnley but right now I'm just very pissed off at the reality of another two points dropped. It's very costly.
U dropped a point AWAY from home and you are this pissed. . . . . .United dropped 3 points at OT on Saturday. . . .Do you know what that feels like?
Abeg, go and drink cold water and chillax.
Everyone will still drop precious points especially this busy Christmas period.

If that is the case, no member of the TOP FOUR should be dropping points against the other sixteen teams in the Premiership, no?

It's a level playing field now. . . .80% of the teams in the PREM now have strengthened and there's no real significant difference in the team quality.
I just finished watching Tottenham V Man City now and the number of quality players on the pitch/bench is frightening.

The fact that the TOP 4 clubs cannot attract world class strikers like before has flattened out the edge they used to have over other teams.
Valencia? Tottenham coulda paid for him. . . . .Owen? He coulda been a Burnley player.
Vermaelen? Fulham coulda paid for his services and so on and so forth.

I agree the arses have been bedevilled with injuries in the past but hey i havent seen anything close to what just happened to UTD
the truth is, u'll never see UTD making noise about injuries cos anybody who comes on the field to play will do justice to the game

its a shame the arses are attaching injuries to the barren spell going on; if thats the problem, wouldnt it make sense if your gaffer adds to the squad?
I disagree. . . . .

United have copped more injuries than any team in the last 5 seasons.
Although, Arsenal have a smaller squad which means if 2 players get injured at the same time, then it's a CRISIS at the Emirates.
Have u forgotten players like Saha, Smith and Solskjaer had to be sold because they never managed to play 20 league games?

Scholes, Giggs, VDS, Brown, Hargo, Rooney(3 times in 2007/cool, Ronaldo(ankle injury), etc.
It's just that United are too big a team to feel the absence of any player.
United can do without any member of their first XI and still win the league.

De Laet    Carrick    Vidic      Evra

Valencia  Gibson   Scholes  Obertan

             Berbatov      Rooney

Brown copped another hamstring injury so it's Carrick in the defence(again).

We should tonk em 10-0 cos Wolves made 10 changes to the team that beat SPURS on Saturday.

More classic quotes from Sir Alex Ferguson:

“When an Italian tells me its pasta on the plate I check under the sauce to make sure.
They are the inventors of the smokescreen.”(Sir Alex Ferguson before Manchester United played Inter Milan in the Champions League Quarter Final 1999)

“They say he’s an intelligent man, right? Speaks five languages!
I’ve got a 15-year-old boy from the Ivory Coast who speaks five languages!” (Sir Alex Ferguson on Arsene Wenger)

“At the end of this game, the European Cup will be only six feet away from you and you’ll not even able to touch it if we lose.
And for many of you that will be the closest you will ever get. Don’t you dare come back in here without giving your all”. (Sir Alex Ferguson’s half time team talk during the 1999 European Cup Final against the NAZIs)

“If he was an inch taller he’d be the best centre half in Britain.
His father is 6ft 2in - I’d check the milkman.” (Sir Alex Ferguson on Gary Neville)

So Fergie is suggesting the milkman shagged Gary Neville's mother? grin grin grin grin

And this just proved that the English animals are racist, exploiters, greedy backside set of people, he competed for more than 2 tournaments, not one and not one year, he represented them for closed to 5 years if not more than, they kept using you to glorify themselves but didn't give him the passport he was suppose to be given. this just sums up the notion that the British are known to be the use and dump set of cheats.  before representing them between 1995-1997, he must have also competed in the nationals earlier than that, so that means for more than 5 years, they denied him citizenship but never stopped him from being exploited.
U are a laboratory retard. grin grin
If he had committed a crime before his love for sporting events, there is no way he would be given a British passport.
Converting ILR to a British passport requires one thing: NO CRIMINAL RECORD.

just like a case of someone trying to get something from you, you keep using him to wash your clothes, yet you never gave him what he came for, you didn't tell him to back off all the times he was helping you do the chores. exploiters, it's really in their blood and won't go away. so for the pro-British empire, you can keep licking their backside.

I doubt it will be clear. . . . .Lemme spell it OUT!!!!

At the moment(1999) residency is one of the main qualifications and athletes can compete for a country as long as they are in the process of applying for citizenship even though they may not get it eventually.

If the proposal gets the backing of the meeting, athletes will have to have a passport of their new nation before they can wear the country's athletics vest
