Investment › Re: How Can I Utilize My Gtbank US Dollar Domiciliary Account For Savings? by SavageResponse(m): 10:26am On Jun 05, 2022
mediclife1987:
Hello guys. I'm trying to start saving in dollars and already have a US Dollar Dorm account.

Problem is I need some gurus here to tell me how to go about it.

I've once called a GTBank customer care service and the woman was even sort of discouraging me from the product of her own bank!!!

I'll appreciate any clear explanation on how to go about it as I want to be converting 250k/month to dollars to save in my Dorm account.

I'll prefer if I can even lock it up sef, so I won't be able to touch it no matter how much I need it...

I'm already on Cowrywise but savings in Naira dey fear me the way dollar dey do Usain Bolt for Naira

Thanks guys.
I have had a USD dom account in GTBank for over 10 years and I can tell you authoritatively that there are no monthly charges on it.

You only pay a negligible charge of about 0.15% on withdrawals you make.

Just go to any GTBank branch and ask for a form to open a dom account. The process is smooth, the only difficulty you might face is getting two people who also have dom accounts who will act as references for you.

When you want to fund it you just go Hausa guys who sell Dollars to buy then pay into your account. Make sure you only buy from the ones who have offices in the market, on no account should you ever buy or sell Dollar from the guys who sell by the roadside!

Please keep the fact that you have a dom account secret, it's not something you should go around broadcasting to family and friends!

Atiku would lose against whom exactly? Tinubu? The same Tinubu who can't win election after Ondo State
If you must know it was Tinubu that lifted former AD from a minority to a major political party which eventually teamed up with the CPC to wrest power from the PDP.

You may not like Tinubu but you have to give him his due respect cos he has earned it!

This lie has been pushed over and over again and it's annoying

So you all think tambuwal would have gotten 150 plus votes and all would be from atiku votes ?

Most people who voted tambuwal in 2019 voted tinubu now ...how's tambuwal stronger than saraki in politics ....

Enough of this lies atiku was always going to win maybe the margin would have been a little closer but atiku was always going to win
If Atiku was always going to win, why then was he running around calling all the elders in the north to prevail on Tambuwal to step down and support him?!

You people will just be talking rubbish here!

Nigerians can now earn in US Dollars by participating in the US Stock market.

Instead of buying shares, smart guys trade in stock options.

Only few smart Nigerians have realized that you can make 500% profit participating in stock options

In April, I joined the NETFLIX trade group; they did the PUT option (which means it was analyzed that NETFLIX stocks would go down)

As soon as the stocks went down, my $250 invested turned to $2250, which was available for immediate cash out. That was about 900% profits (If you have doubts, watch kids bleeding millions of Dollars trading stock options on YouTube.

You will have the opportunity to trade on stock options of companies like Amazon, Tesla, Netflix, Microsoft, Google, IBM, Paypal, Coinbase, Uber, Lyft, Shopify and thousands more.

Stock options are an incredibly insane way to generate income legitimately.

While many reading this may have had bad experiences in the past, this is a sure way to earn.

***Weekly Payouts
*** No referral required
*** You can chat with their reps on WhatsApp or even visit them
***Cash out anytime
***When stocks go up or down, you still make money based on analysis.

HUSTLER001:
I have tried soliciting for funds but non came through so on wednesday,i got a loan of #60,000 from LAPO microfinance bank. I got the loan so that i can get little stream of income while i am still without a job. So,i decided to do POS business since i couldn't afford to run a restaurant with that amount.Thankfully, prior to this time(the time of getting the loan),i'd secured a pos machine where i paid a total of #23,000. So,on thursday,my younger brother set out to run the biz for me.He said he knew someone who has a pos shop at yaba market so i decided that i give him the benefit of doubt while i keep job hunting. To my surprise, this boy made close to #2,000 profit that day and i was happy. The next day being friday,i decided to give him more money since he complained that the money i gave him on thursday wasn't enough. Later in the evening,i received a call from him.He was complaining bitterly that he'd paid a customer the sum of #22,000 even though he hadn't received any credit alert yet.

Nigerian banks are wicked,
How can this economy grow if banks don't finance start-up.
If you're a significant shareholder in a Nigerian bank you will never support the bank financing start-up businesses with its money.

Any loan a bank lends to a start-up business in Nigeria will most likely go bad and be written off which will reduce the bank's profit and thus also reduce the amount available for distribution to shareholders as dividends!

Banks are not charitable organisations, they're in business to make money and no sensible bank will give out a loan it knows will most likely go bad

I sympathize with you and hope that you are able to find the help you need soon.

The reason why most people are reluctant to give you the money is because they know that the chance of getting it back later is very slim because Nigerians do not like to repay loans. Check out this thread to read about their lamentations

This sounds like a lot of capital but the yields is worth the venture with the rate of construction going on over there on the island

What's the range you think one can comfortably start this business with ,that's without owning your own dredging machine tho
I have no idea how much you will need to pay for rental of the site cos it varies and is the major expense you will incur but for renting a dredger and a good payloader to start operations you should need at least 5million.

Please note that there are still some other incidental expenses you will need to bear; for instance you will need to settle the Baalé of the local community, you also need to settle the youths and the community may also demand that you hire bulldozers to grade the roads from time to time because of the damage the trucks coming to pick up sand from your dredging site

This makes alot of sense

Thanks so much for the insight

Can one rent or lease this dredging machine or somehow partner with a dredging company ?
Looking at options for partnership
Yes you can lease the dredging machine and the payloader but the lease rental fees are paid upfront.

You may also partner with a dredging company but if you want to go this route then you must be on ground or have your own man on ground otherwise it's very likely that your partner will shortchange you
