I just checked it. Do you know it was narrated. It was not quoted. He called them apostles and not Jesus said"you're my apostles".
So you mean Jesus never said so? Do you see your problem now cast in bold relief?? (once it does not agree with my opinion it cannot be true) The same mindset makes you write off the other epistles. You better REPENT!!!!

Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:Luke 11:49

Who said this? undecided

PoliticsBeware Of The Law: Do Not Patronize Hawkers In Lagos! by Scholar8200(op): 9:00am On Sep 30, 2016
Lagos State Will Enforce Six Month Jail Term For Patronizing Street Hawkers
Femi Adesanya July 1, 2016

Akinwunmi Ambode

Following the fall out from an incident where a street hawker was killed in the Maryland axis of Lagos, the Lagos state government is preparing to take tougher measures.

While speaking to Intercontinental Television, Governor Ambode disclosed that his administration will take a tougher stance on the issue of traffic hawking. So strict, even those patronizing traffic hawkers will face a fine of N90,000 or six months in prison.

Lagos state has a law forbidding hawking in traffic and there will now be more stringent efforts to enforce the law. Traffic hawking is commonplace in Lagos and it is not altogether uncommon to see all sorts of items up for sale whenever there’s a traffic congestion.

You haven't answered my question. Jesus is calling everyone. Jesus never called the 12 apostles, He called them friends, disciples, sheep, little flock etc. Jesus called me and His calling everybody.
Is this deliberate or inadvertent?

New International Version
When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles: Luke 6:13

Yes, He calls all to salvation but not all are Apostles.

What did Zebedee's sons do when He called them?
What did Matthew do when He called him? Did he go back to his tax collecting job?
When Jesus calls you, He wants you to forsake all and follow Him Luke 14:33
Interesting!!! So was Jesus living by faith all the while HE was a Carpenter? Answer! Was He therefore violating that portion which you misinterpreted by working as a Carpenterhuh (think twice laddie before answering).

Okay thanks. But there is something about your interpretion of salvation that does not sit well me. You might have honest intentions but you can still be wrong too.

I have to be sincere, this is not enough proof of free will. This is just like someone taking only what he wants to hear and smartly avoiding many others that are discomforting.

I use to think "whosoever" means just anybody to God and man but couldnt it be that only God knows those "whosoever" and since his apostles are oblivious of them, that term had to be use.. "whosoever"

If salvation was by man's will, why then should God take all the glory! Surely some flesh must glory in his presence. Or do you think its easy to choose God? God must share his glory with some sinners then.

I will come back later with all the chapters and verses that talk of salvation originating from God.

They are many
I never implied that man gets saved by an exercise of the will!!!(Christ paid it all) but the Gospel call to repent and believe, without which NO ONE can be saved, appeals to the will!!! God's OFFER of salvation must be received and the call is to all!!!

Else was this inspired:

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
1 timothy 2: 3,4

HE wills that ALL MEN be saved!

Whats wrong with studying with my own version, king James? You know its more reliable?

vs12" But as many as received him to them he gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.

vs13 " Which were^^^ (those in verse 12, who received him) were born, not of blood (not talking of natural birth) nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, BUT OF GOD"

Born of God! Thats what i am getting from reading this. Honestly, i think people get born again by the power and will of God not theirs.

Prior to this remember i believed in free will?
No problem, consider this:

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 1:13

Now were they born before they believed on His Name or after? Of course it's after they believed! Meaning This passage isnt talking of receiving Him or not, rather it talks of the second birth being of God, experienced by those that receive Him by believing on His Name!

Now let's consider this:

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Revelations 22:17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

It will be wrong to indirectly claim that God qualified that blanket word, "whosoever"! Afterall it says HE loved the World (not a pre-selected few) and for the same World He gave His Son!

Sis, there are no fine prints in God's offer!

But the bible says he wills those who accept? Read it again
John 1:13 follows vs 12 where it had said as many that received Him were given power to become the sons of God. Hence 13 further reveals how that sonship came about after faith namely being born of God. Study that verse in the Amplified version.

Those scriptures are as straight forward as they are. We have a choice to please God, but it is God choice and decision to choose who he wants to be saved

Verse 12 of John chapter 1 shows what we should choose to do.

Salvation is an undeserved kindness. Not something we earn or deserve. This should make us humble and indebted to God.
Blessed be God, He accepts whosoever will!

Christianity EtcRe: The Husband Should Not Be The Head Of The Wife by Scholar8200(m): 6:15pm On Sep 20, 2016
rexben:
The concept of the husband is the head of the wife is evil.
The husband being the head of the wife is a product of the curse which 'God' supposedly cursed Eve when she disobeyed and 'deceived' Adam.
Moses had it recorded this way;
Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
Gen 3:16
Christians believe that they were freed from the curse of the law including that of Adam and Eve.
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us (because it is written, " Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree "wink
Gal 3:13
If Christians say they are free from the curse of the law, why are they still holding unto the curse that says "and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee." by saying the husband is the head of the wife?

It is not consistent with the words of Jesus. Jesus taught about husband and wife.
Lets see what He said;
4 He answered, "Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator made them male and female , 5 and said, ' For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and will be united with his wife, and the two will become one flesh '? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate."
Matt 19:4-6
'The two will become one flesh'. Did you see that? They are no longer two, they are one.
So, if the husband is the head, the wife is the head likewise. If the wife is the tail, the husband is the tail likewise because the two have become one.
This is subjugation rather than religion.
Two will become one, it is not that the greater one will be joined to the lesser one.
A husband being the head of his wife is a culture of the world, it is not from God.
If Jesus is the head of the husband,He is evenly the head of the wife and not the husband.
Eating from your sweat was mentioned, is that evil too? If yes, do you go to work?

This is not about the popular John 1:1 which the writer of the Gospel of John failed to credit the original writer of those words, Phyllo of Alexandria.

This is about two "divinely inspired" writers of two books of the Bible.

1. The book of Isiah.
The book of Isiah was written, as agreed by Bible scholars, by the prophet Isiah. They also agreed that it was written somewhere between 740 and 680 BC. Isiah was a great Jewish prophet in his time, and many of his prophecies are still subjects of debate till date.

2. The book of Kings
A general agreement is that the author of I and II Kings is unknown. But some Bible scholars believe the books to have been written by the prophet Jeremiah around 562 or 561 BC.

No doubt, both books were written about two centuries apart.
But check the whole of Isiah chapter 37, and the whole of II Kings chapter 19!!!

Were both chapters written through inspiration?
Or one author copied the work of the other? (By inspiration, some will say)
Or that it was an error of compilation?

First, how do you explain your allegation -Insufficient men? Include in your explanation/proof that the 'excess' women are all ripe (and mature enough) for marriage.

Next, Iceland is not a Theocratic nation hence I wonder why you use them as a case study!

Moreover, if you say Insufficient men was used because we have more women than men, I hope you realise that the statistics include aged women and under-aged girls, not to mention widows who decide not to re-marry etc
