Why are people more concerned about the party that built the hospital, rather than the massive health benefits this center will bring to the community, the state and the country at large?
Do you think a sick person cares whether the project came from a PDP or an APC governor?

Mcheew.

I don't want to be Bini so bad. I just want to know why we share similar monarchial ruling system. There has to be something somewhere that hasn't been clarified on this matter
Because of influences from the neighboring Benin empire. That isn't too hard to figure out.
two neighboring groups can not live that close to each other without exchanging ideas.
there are examples of Bini cultural imports as far away as Lagos and Ado Ekiti, so this is not a phenomenon limited to Ilaje people.

Aside from olu-ugbo.
But the rest sounds edoid in my opinion. I think the link between yorubas and binis might be the Ilajes
Why do you want to be Bini so bad?
Hian!

Even within Edo there are many other ethnic groups who are NOT binis and who wouldn't want to be one either.
Just saying my own though.

lol Yolobas are so wicked, why are they dominating the entertainment industry?
Na only dem waka come this country?

On a serious note though, the ist is close to accurate, especially given the fact that the top Nigerian artists this year were confirmed by Google trends statistics.

[s]your are typical west Africans Sudaneses:fake, resentful and hypocrits!
I can count 100threads on this forum about yorubas or igbos descendants in brazil,america.etc......100s of threads about how African-amercans descemd at 80% from igbos;how yorubas culture is the most dominant force in the Americas......How the Igbo race is the most intelligent and the most enterprising race in Africa....When it comes to glorifying your races, you claim all types of people as igbos or yorubas, but when bantus do the same thing, your resentful nature takes over.Bantus don't open threads about you,why are you so obsessed about bantus? The fact is bantus had ways more influence in the new world than all the rest of African races put together and we gonna celebrate that again and again.Their orishas put aside, yorubas had zero influence in the new world.Brazil isn't the country of orishas ,but the country of Samba(kongo) and everything about Brazilian esthetic (swagg,football,charisma,etcl....) Jamaicans are more congoleses than anything else and reggae has its roots in kongo music.Jazz,blue,tango,salsa,etc....are bantus creations.....and we are proud of that. You can console yourselves by thinking we are all the same, but we aren't!Be yourselves and be proud!Resentment and jealousy wont get you anywhere![/s]

Something about all these old school songs that is surely lacking in music of today.
In the days when people sang with sincere passion.
